I might simply be insane over them rn, but y'all think that Sephiroth is so obsessed over Cloud (partly) because he sees so much of his old self in Cloud?

Cloud's aloofness and sometimes cold demeanor masking a lot of genuine kindness. That desire to protect people, to cherish others, to be an actual hero beyond what can be used for PR. Even at his lowest, even if he needs to be guided and convinced to do so, Cloud will put himself in harms way if it means protecting people; both those he cherishes and even those he doesn't know all that well because he cares So Deeply.

Sephiroth was like that once. He wants Cloud to let his darker impulses control him. He wants Cloud to be alone and for his friend's to abandon him. He wants Cloud's hatred and fear and rage to break him. It's definitely on a subconscious level, don't get me wrong, but I bet when he sees Cloud something in Sephiroth sees a mirror of a better man, a dead man, and he loathes it.

liam being so warm (literally, but also his personality) and his anger always running hot and people viewing him as a bomb about to explode bc of his IED. theo being such a cold, mean, fierce person who keeps his true emotions locked away, frozen. ice cold killer and everything.

and liam being the one to warm him up, liams warmth making that ice melt. and at the same time, theos coldness isnt always apathetic bc when it comes to liam, its soothing instead. theos coldness being able to cool liam, to calm him down.

the sun, the moon, the truth... theo becoming liams anchor... liam being the sun, theo being the moon, them together the truth...

ellis stiffens his upper lip but tears still sting at his eyes. a wave of emotion takes him like a summer storm. he feels like a small child in a too big world, exposed & vulnerable to his sister's gaze. her words cut through him, slicing into his core & driving him to bleed sentiment.

ok context for these girls as quick as i can summarize it so tabitha is the one with the horns and allison is the one with the beret anyways so tldr tabitha has been trying to kill allison for a bit bc shes afraid shes gonna become morganthe 2.0 being the yw and all however tabitha herself gets so invested in this goal she ends up becoming what she fears and losing herself so much that allisons gotta kill her more abt this below

sososo continuing on throughout all this tabitha kinda does fall in love with allison however allison doesn't really feel that way romantically (for now i cant be trusted JHFIOJFW) but at the same time she does get use to tabitha trying to kill her and them playing this game of cat and mouse it was never that serious to allison really she loves a good fight and tabitha brings it and she loves that potential that she has to keep honing her skills but it all gets ruined when tabitha slips into shadow magic and she mentally just cannot handle it and the girl allison kinda enjoyed is rly no longer there its gotten too serious and to the point of no return

so anyways thats why i felt this audio FIT so well like tabitha being the one to say goodbye until tomorrow bc shes not ready to accept her death its not over she can't fail shes in denial meanwhile on allisons end shes giving her heart to tabitha to take to her grave she asks her not to break it because at the same time shes in denial about the situation like what happened what happened to the eager girl she met on khrysalis how did they get here ? taking someones life is never fun
