I'm in my "rewatching old Disney movies while drawing" period, and when it came to watching GMD, I had this skin idea for Ramattra Yeah ! Ramattra like Professor Ratigan ! Although I know that having a Disney-inspired skin will NEVER happen (unless Disney buys Activision-Blizzard... LFMAO 🤣
I'm not sure about his Nemesis form ^^" A "Felicia" version where it would be Felicia's paws Or A "wild Ratigan" version where the big arms are big rat legs with tattered clothes.
#crossover#overwatch#Ramattra#The Husbanbot#fan skin#Disney#great mouse detective#GMD#Eve Titus#Professor Ratigan#Fanart#I'll explain another thing#my headcanon#about my AU where Rama is an actor :D#He made this costume for a Halloween party#Has fun ringing the bell and the few people who know the character expected Felicia to appear#Because they know that Rama would be able to build a giant cat just for the joke#This was not the case#but he created a setting like in the film when the big cat first appeared#A play of light and shadow - of heavy sound - to finally see a little kitten appear#A success !

I haven't rewatched gmd in a long time but I feel like the reason Ratigan never used Felicia to attack basil (as well as the fact it would be an unsatisfying end) is because Felicia ADORES basil like she sees him and starts purring super loud and constantly like rubs against him and Ratigan is torn because on the one hand it's not a good luck for anyone,,,,,on the other hand it's adorable and he loves it
While this headcanon is cute I can't make myself approving it. Too much sugar coming from Felicia. I do believe tho that she can recognize Basil as someone her Papa was really fond of, and this is way she wouldn't attack him on the spot. However, nothing would keep her from eating the detective if Ratigan gave her the command. He simply doesn't do it cause (as you said) it would be anti-climactic

Upon rewatching The Princess and the Frog, I noticed something unusual about the Mardi Gras parade floats:
Many of them are references to past Disney movies that were directed by the team of John Musker and Ron Clements.
First, the most obvious. This one is a clear Little Mermaid homage, resembling King Triton.
Another shot of the Triton float, where you can see that Musker and Clements themselves make cameos as the fish guys. (They like to sneak themselves into their movies.) The float behind them resembles an evil wizard overlooking an Arabian kingdom - Jafar from Aladdin, perhaps?
A flying pirate ship in front of a crescent moon? Could that be a callback to the extremely underrated Treasure Planet? I guess it could also be a Peter Pan reference; but given that Treasure Planet was John and Ron’s passion project, I wouldn’t be surprised if they snuck it in there.
There was no Hercules float, but Mr. LaBouff did dress as Julius Caesar at the masquerade ball. I know that’s ancient Rome, not ancient Greece; but it’s close enough.
As for The Great Mouse Detective...uh...well, Charlotte’s cat kinda looks like a cuter version of Felicia. (Note that Musker and Clements were not the only directors of GMD, but I thought I’d include it anyway since it’s pretty underrated as well.)
BONUS: You may already know this, but a very familiar lamp shows up during the song “Dig a Little Deeper:”

Another way for Ratigan to calm down (my headcanon of course)
Felicia wins more mice when the professor is angry but sometimes it's good to think about something other than her stomach :D
And the Ratigan's react over OCC just for the fun

How do you think Ratigan trained his cat Felicia?
Ratigan trains Felicia as one would with a dog ^^" When she was a kitten and she ate, the professor was ringing the bell. It's an automatism for her Bell = Food

I meant taking the plot of The Great Mouse Detective and rewriting it for MTP. I’m just a bit stuck because William abs Ratigan don’t have the same motivations
Well, you'd have to take significant liberties to make it function: GMD is a very different beast from MTP. William wouldn't go after the Queen, for example; you could use the whole toymaker angle as a way for him to impersonate a nobleman or noblewoman instead, which could then name him as their heir or someone important to their organization. And William would be using this method to attempt some good, rather than attempt some ill. Like, if this person was mistreating their workers, and he steps in to take over the factory and make sure everyone is fairly treated, after "retiring" the old owner. Also, the kidnapping angle is problematic: it's Olivia reporting her father kidnapped that really gets the ball rolling. But William would need a VERY good reason to bring someone into the fold against their will. One possible angle is that getting Holmes involved is part of William's plan with this one, so he STAGES a kidnapping, but Flaversham already knows what's going to happen. Another is that no kidnapping is staged at all (you'll notice Basil never goes to the scene of the crime in the movie, and Holmes wouldn't have to, either), and Olivia is actually in on all of this with the same purpose. A third angle is that Olivia has actually been away for a while and returns to find her father mysteriously missing, and no way of contacting him. So she PRESUMES he's been kidnapped when, really, Flaversham has been in hiding and helping Moriarty. And at the end of the tale, neither of them dispute this because of the whole "Lord of Crime" angle. Felicia, if she's included at all, would have to be handled differently. There's no way you can have a giant cat in the mix of things that eats people. XD I'm not sure how familiar with my work and kinks you are anon, so for a rational and non-kinky solution: perhaps Felicia is simply a normal pet cat that William has in your story, and instead of feeding people to her, he just...well...kills them or attempts to kill them in other ways. LOL Toby is easy, since Toby appears in the series already, and is basically used for his basic purpose in the books to begin with. Felicia is a trickier animal to handle. (If you DO know my kinks and ARE into them, there are two alternatives I can offer, but they can wait till I know one way or the other.) The final big hurdle is the battle in Big Ben. In GMD, this is Basil and Ratigan's final duel; it's their version of The Final Problem's Reichenbach Falls brawl from the books. Depending on how you want your story to go, you can approach this in at least four ways. One: go into complete AU territory with Holmes discovering William's identity along the way and having THIS be their Final Problem instead of what was in the manga and anime. Two: William is wearing his black hooded cloak and perhaps a mask during this fight, and either doesn't speak or does something to change his voice, thus ensuring Holmes doesn't realize who he's fighting. Three: Holmes faces someone like Fred or Moran instead of William; someone he wouldn't IMMEDIATELY tie to Professor Moriarty. And Four: you just skip the big battle at the end altogether; after the events at what would be the Palace in the film, Moriarty gets away, case closed. There are probably other little bugs in the system, but these are the most major plot/character issues I can perceive. Hopefully this is of some help. :)
