We spent Sunday working on some upgrades for the gym. About half of the room directly connected to the women's restroom will be dedicated to plate loaded glutes training! The other half of that room is a very special project that will start soon. This move frees up a good bit of space in the main gym area for new equipment AND provides a little privacy for glute training now that it has it's not out in the open. We also added a new doorway that will allow direct access from the main room to this area and the women's restroom. To be 100% honest, I did NOT feel like training today. Not because it was one of my Leg Days, but I just wasn't freakin feeling it. Not every day is going to be your best day in the gym. Shit. Not every week is going to be your best week either, but BUT! What you do have to come to grips with is that if you have serious goals that YOU want to make happen, you can't make excuses about that shit. You have to find that FIRE in you, somehow, and MAKE SHIT HAPPEN! If you don't, you're just blowing smoke up people's asses, and wasting time. It was still a relatively low volume day for me. Just a measly 300 reps. Here's how it went down! Jeff Casebolt PhD is an instructor at West Texas A&M University and Director of Biomechanical Research for Dynavec Multi-Directional Resistance Systems (Instagram / Facebook). He has been associated with the fitness industry since 1991, working as a personal trainer, strength and conditioning coach, and corporate fitness coordinator prior to going back to school to earn a PhD in biomechanics.
