To be quite honest, I wouldn't be able to write so much, and think and build and create with such energy if it weren't for my friends I've made in the community, as well as the positive feedback from anons.

Obviously, @glassesblu is my partner in crime, and makes the mass majority of content with me. With Riso's help, I've grown my ideas in ways I never thought possible. ddIngo, for example, evolved and expanded thanks to his help, and I honestly would have never thought that story could get so deep and detailed. Whenever I get nervous about my writing, they'll read my WIPs and give me encouragement! Riso came up with the idea for our Submastober, and kept me going strong the whole month!

@eyreyereye was probably the first person I approached in the Blankship community and he was soooo kind and patient with my overenthusiastic approach! I have him to thank for talking with me and helping me cement my fondness for the Twins in the very early days of my interest in Blankshipping. He's so cool to talk to, and honestly I need to gather more spoons to talk with him more often!

@allaboardtheblankship going through RS Submastober with me and Riso was really exciting! I looked forward to every entry and was blown away each time! They kept me and Riso so very hyped up despite how busy the month was! Thank you for the care and interest in our prompts (❁´◡`❁)

@feroluce writes SO much good stuff. Fero also has a very important skill - they are merciless with the whump and tragedy >:) And that is great, because I am too mushy to write it haha! But also, their tags are the sweetest and funny and interesting and insightful. I wish I could convince them to write that in the body of their posts so I could reblog it, eheh!

@dingo-on-a-farm is a beast (ha ha ˋ( ° ▽、° ) , and it's honestly really fun to try and come up with things that inspire him to draw. Also, his art has inspired me more than once to write!!

I do miss @tsumisan6v9 but I know they're verrrrry busy, and peek back every once in a while when they can.

@megadraws makes SO much cool fanart and I get such inspiration whenever I see their art. I've already doodled one of the outfits Mega made for Emmet, and I wanna draw more. (Also, like, have you seen their art for Dear!Emmet and Courier!Emmet and a little cameo by ddIngo??)

@unovanhunny and @tombstone-pisa too! Their stories and idea brainstorming are so exciting to listen to and read. Ehehe, they're both really creative, and inspire me to keep trying new ideas for Blankshipping, both in AU form and in the little one shot stories I like to write that don't exist in any particular timeline.

@alphagodith also!!! was so!!! friendly!! 🥺All the help and encouragement given to me was greatly appreciated. Coloring my art to encourage me, talking to be about making a ko-fi, and helping me with discord really means so much to me.

@feldkommandant has helped me with my more spicy stories on more than one occasion and it means a lot! UwU clearly, I need to write more to show my appreciation.

Man, there are a lot more people out there who inspire me and keep me going. Some of them are on twitter, some are on the discord, and some I don't know if I should tag because of their inactivity here. But I hope they know I appreciate their continued enthusiasm in the fandom!

Honestly, when it comes down to it, people reading and enjoying my stories, no matter how infrequently, is why I keep writing! (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧ I want there to be lots of stories for people to read, and when I can help do that, I feel happy!

Riso actually commissioned me! So, anyone who enjoys Mermmet (Riso's mermaid Emmet AU) will be verrrrry excited! It might not happen until the new year because I've been driving a lot and also got reaaaaaally sick over the Christmas weekend while out of state. o(￣┰￣*)ゞ

for the second bit, i like a lot of aus~ i enjoy whenever people work off of the emmet is reshiram/ingo is zekrom fantheory, i really enjoy @glassesblu's oingo/yemmet and oemmet/yingo aus, along with the ones they have going with @belltrigger -- especially bot emmet, changeling ingo, and unicorn emmet! i also like @unovanhunny's selkie au cus... i like selkie aus x'DDD

as for my own? i like my main comics of emmet aging alongside ingo while they're separated and then showing up to get his brother back lol, and of course i'm really into hades and persephone au atm

there are plenty others i enjoy, but those are some off the top of my head~

as for their children in hades and persephone au, here's where i get very very wacky with mythology and do some stuff my fellow greek myth nerds would stone me for, so under the cut i go ahaha

okay so emmet and ingo end up having...... a lot of kids. like, a lot a lot. there was a big shortage on gods and goddesses but that has been Taken Care Of because emmet and ingo cannot stop going at it

here's a horrifyingly long list of hcs that may or may not make it into future fics/art when i get around to making more of that

all of their kids mainly work out of the underworld -- even the ones that end up being olympians -- and they're collectively considered equivalent to depot agents when they're not fulfilling major godly duties

their oldest daughter is aphrodite -- she hardcore ships her parents and has no chill

their oldest son is hypnos -- he's technically in charge of organizing all the agents' duties and is very exhausted all the time

occasionally emmet will be the one to get pregnant to spice things up and it usually ends one of three ways: the kid is a super op god, it's a miscarriage, or the kid is born mortal and dies soon after -- it's always traumatizing in the case of the last two and neither of them ever learn

that being said zagreus is a strange mix of op god but who also died and kinda is sickly (he inherited emmet's allergy to ambrosia) -- he's emmet's lil guy even though they like to razz each other

nyx is also one of emmet's good pregnancies and she's a huge daddy's girl

all of them are close with ingo regardless though, ingo loves his kids and spoils them all because he can't bear to deny them anything

the furies are also some of emmet's and they're... strange lol

apollo takes after his parents and is into his twin artemis; artemis doesn't know and apollo drowns his sorrows in this by being a bit of a whore

athena and aries are kismesis -- if you know you know

really there's just.... so much incest going on....... but it's greek mythology so you just have to expect that all the more than any normal submas au

also yes i know NONE of these save for zagreus are considered hades and persephone's kids but this is my au and i get to turn ingo into everyone's mom if i want to x'D

Purely theoretically... if someone wanted to start posting their blankshipping art/writing, should they use their main blog or make a sideblog?

Anon, I think that is entirely up to you and your measure of safety. Some people feel more confident not tying blankshipping to their main blog, because they are worried about backlash. That's fair I think.

Some people don't want to bother splitting blogs, that's also fair.

What would having a main blog out feel like for you versus a side blog? Pros and cons?

Here are some thoughts

Are you concerned about findability? I am glassesblu everywhere, and I consider this a main identity. If someone wanted to see my art anywhere, searching for glassesblu would yield several sites where I can be found. Some people find this unfavorable, wanting to keep blankshipping on its own.

Do you want mutuals, or for fellow shippers to know you are mutuals? The concept of mutuals is a very internet social media connection thing. People might feel some sort of acknowledge to know that they are mutuals with someone. Glassesblu is a sideblog, even if it is my main identity. This is just because many years ago I shifted my art out of the places where I throw all my reblogs at. Since this is the case, people might not even know that I, Glassesblu, like their work and follow them. I don't bother to declare it publicly, because why should I? I don't owe people my dashboard. I may tell someone directly or in private.

sometimes people want to separate platonic submas from romantic submas, and they like both. So they create more than one blog.

You can password lock sideblogs. They may interest you. This may be unimportant.

Sideblogs give you more anonymity from bullies. As someone who is known by glassesblu, I know that ppl have me on their blocklist lol. People may mention my name specifically and disparage me. Would this bother you? But some people have private messaged me saying they were encouraged by my being openly a blankshipper. I'm not doing anything wrong, and neither are they.

Think about what is important to you. Think about your personal comfort and safety. Think about what you enjoy in a fandom experience.

Ah, that one is a bit tricky to answer... Firstly because I don't consume a lot of content, secondly because I would rather stick to recommending art and blogs that (openly) support blankship.

...I'm gonna keep myself from tagging all the incredibly amazing blankshipper content creators out there, and just say that @belltrigger has written some of my favourite fic of them, and I haven't even had the time to read them all. From sweet fluff to hurt/comfort, there's everything. @glassesblu draws some of the most shaped Ingo and Emmet I've seen, and I could go on listing compliments

[garbodor] which pokemon do you see each brother being most attached to respectively?

They both love their pokemon dearly, but Ingo has a soft spot for Accelgor because that was Emmet's pokemon, and now it's his! He gotta take good care of it! Ingo lets Emmet borrows most of his pokemon, so he sees all of them as being shared pokemon, but Accelgor? That's HIS responsibility! His brother entrusted him with his shelmet, and by arceus he will take good care of it!

Emmet has a favorite child, and it's his galvantula with poison-cross. He really likes all his joltiks too! but gosh darn, when it hatched and poisoned him for the first time, he cried tears of joy. He has been spoiling it in attention and training and treats for all its life.

But while galvantula is his darling pokemon, his secret favorite is garbodor. I headcanon Emmet as.... a clean freak, who despise litter and rubbish above all else. And in comes Garbodor, here to help keep the subway (and everywhere else) clean. Golden Stars for Garbodor.

I was suddenly hit with emotions and ideas thanks to @belltrigger and @glassesblu’s Reverse!ages AU (Old!Emmet and Young!Ingo). The dialogue is taken from one of my fav films, ‘The Last Unicorn’.

This is my own idea for this AU. I thought of Emmet, after years of unable to find Ingo and coming to terms that he might be gone forever, has to completely remove himself from his work and passion with trains because it reminded him too much of his brother. On his road to recovery, he decided to quit his job at Gear Station and trained to take over Uncle Drayden’s position as Opelucid’s Gym Leader. By the time Ingo returns, Emmet’s already settled into his place as the Gym Leader for nearly a decade and confident he has moved on...OOP.
