Welcome!

My main blog is LazyRants, which focuses on the LazyTown (2002 and forwards) era's books & episodes of course.

To distinguish the two eras, I've decided to make this 'latabæjar' blog to review the Latibær books (1995-1997, 1999) excluding Goggi Mega since nobody has that one, and the two plays 'Let's Go, LazyTown!' and it's sequel 'Robbie Rotten Comes to LazyTown'.

If we do get a Latabæjarhátid í Höllini translation, since it's a 2010 play, I'd cover it on the other blog. LazyRants is only up to season two of the TV show, so a lot more to go before I start using this blog.

@lazyrants is my blog until I finish reviewing all the books and episodes and post-Latibær plays. That blog will update you when I start to post here!

i will never get over how dirty trixie/halla was done when the tv show was made

like in the plays (more specifically GGIL and jól í latabæ) she had some amazing character development

not to mention the two songs she has in both those plays which are also absolute bangers and heartbreaking at the same time, in the tv show she doesnt even have a song of her own

she was also a complex character, for example her song ‘Ég á mér ósk’ in jól í latabæ, she sings about how shes sad she cant celebrate christmas because she comes from a poor and unloving family, in the show shes just a flat character, especially in seasons 3 and 4

also they took away her slingshot in the show :(

Yeah I watched them and they're both pretty funny Xd

But I do have a soft spot for Robbie Rotten so I like Glanni Glæpur í Latibæ better🍬

I was reading a LazyTown fanfiction and the notes said "Ávaxtakarfan reference if you squint" and I was like, "What the fuck's that? It sounds Icelandic."

So I looked it up and it's an Icelandic play about fruit and I was like "Weird but go off" so I watched a few minutes before I had to stop because I really like the song Hep Tú and I CAN'T like two Icelandic children's musicals! I can't! IT'S A WEIRD THING TO HAVE AN INTEREST IN!

Unpopular opinion

I like more Áfram Latibæ than Glanni Glæpur Í Latabæ. I love Glanni as much as the next person but for some reason I really really love the first play

I just listened to Aleinn um Jólin and it made me so sad to hear a depressed Glanni that i cried. And then my dad came in asking what's wrong and I cried even more because I was afraid to tell him that I cried because of a fictional character that poisoned the whole town once
