Oof J&J shot was no joke! Of course the day after I take it the US takes it off the menu. Just about 30 hours of full blown flu symptoms like chills, fever, thirst, body aches, dizziness, headache. I had more symptoms than a medication commercial. So glad I'm 95% back to normal. Moving day. I was thrilled to wake up to this last beautiful morning in our house & so grateful for good weather. Watch what that little black cloud...it morphed into a dark, evil menace & brought along all his minions, his friends & relations. By midday, it was pouring. A deluge. Boxes in staged areas got soaked as did furniture. Trucks couldn’t get down our hills. Everything had to be loaded twice...once into two small trucks & then driven up to a holding area a mile from our house, unloaded & then packed into two larger trucks. I kept my eye on the horizon all afternoon where there was light...hoping it would blow our way, but the driving bluster pushed its way passed our house towards that light, dragging all its wet darkness with it. Sigh. It. Was. Brutal. A sleepless night followed the end of labor while sneaky lightning played hide-and-go-seek across the sky. The next morning came way too early & two trucks loaded with our lives drove though deliciously thick fog to our new home. The trees in all their glorious autumn colors were wrapped in misty gauze & I smiled all the way. We had to make another trip back to the house on Sunday to put everything that didn’t fit into the moving trucks into my car. One more trip on Friday to retrieve lawn furniture, tools, potted plants, storage racks & all that STUFF & we will be done. I’m so grateful to have a home, blessed to be in our new location with the promise of new adventures waiting in the wings. I will breath a huge, thankful sigh of relief when the move will finally be finished, when I can get boxes unpacked & find a place for everything in a house that I think shrunk since I saw it last. So grateful. So blessed. Very disappointed in what should have been a gala celebration of @hallmarkchannel 's #10years of #CountdownToChristmas turned out to be a redundancy of mostly the last 2 - 3 years of @hallmark movies, depriving viewers of some of #hallmarkchristmas classics like #FarewellToMrKringle with @w.morgansheppard who left us a few months ago. Sadly @hallmarkchannel insisted on regurgitating the same movies over & over, almost making me sigh in relief when #NineLivesOfChristmas ended, ending the run & #GoodWitch came on.
