So I was inspired by @anxious-lee to make a tickle tier list, so I did that for my Fire Emblem OCs. Just a simple Lee/Switch/Ler chart; nothing to elaborate or detailed.
Might make another with different OCs, but this is a good first start. More art coming eventually, so stay tuned!

Gladstone Gander
for Duckvember day 5
Well-to-do duck
Gladdie laddie is not exactly rich, at least on the traditional way, he often doesn't have money or food in the fridge... He often has nothing but his clothes, a place to live and his insanely powerful luck.
Circumstances don't matter. He always gets what he needs.
So, I guess he is rich, just not in the traditional way

Noble Vs. Ignoble Bosses
Please note that I am only referencing UTY to highlight my train of thought. I am NOT trying to suggest any connections between UTY and UTDR.
I try not to draw too heavily from AU's, but I noticed a pattern in UTY that made me realize something about UTDR. So, in UTY, almost all of the bosses become op simply to defend their own pride:
Decibat fights us to shut us up so he can go back to sleep. We don't even meet him in Genocide.
Dalv has some hidden power that we never see- he says at the end of a Pacifist that he "held back," which would make us think he would be difficult in Genocide, but he's not. He just assumes he's imagining us and the whole battle plays out exactly the same as in Pacifist.
El Bailador isn't even trying to fight, he just wants to dance, and we get hurt in the process. He doesn't appear in Genocide; presumably, he fled with the other monsters.
The Feisty Four only attack in Pacifist/Neutral because they're mad at Star and taking it out on you. We never even see them in Geno.
Starlo is difficult in Pacifist because he's defending his wounded ego, he's mad at himself but taking it out on you, but we don't even get a real battle in Genocide.
Axis is always following the instructions programmed into him by a monster with a deep-seated hatred of humans.
Ceroba is ridiculously hard in Pacifist because she loathes herself and is taking it out on you, but doesn't even get a proper second phase in Geno.
In all of these cases, the only one they are protecting in Pacifist is themselves (except Axis, who is strictly following programming). When it comes down to facing a Genocidal murderer, they just can't muster enough fighting spirit to do much of anything. Heck, Ceroba is only difficult in Geno because of revenge and pure rage. She says she's protecting monsters from us, but the only real reason she's fighting is because she's pissed at us for killing Starlo.
And... we actually see a similar pattern in UTDR:
Toriel fights us under the pretense of "protecting" us (which never made much sense to me, tbh), and she can muster almost no fighting spirit. It's very difficult to force her to kill you. And we one-hit her in Geno, she does no damage, she has no defense.
Maddie is semi-difficult in Pacifist/Neutral because they claim to be taking revenge for their cousin, but she can't even remember their name, and she flees as soon as Blookie starts crying on her. In Geno, Maddie stops caring about their cousin as soon as they merge with their dummy and become Gladdie. We don't even get a proper Maddie fight in Geno.
Muffet is semi-difficult even after a couple of playthrus, and what's her reasoning? Partly to save the spiders, but her motivation is mostly money- she was paid to kill us. She doesn't give a fig about other monsters at all, just spiders. We don't even encounter Muffet in Geno.
Mettaton. What's his reason for fighting us in Pacifist/Neutral? Purely selfish: he wants to be the star, not just in the Underground, but on the surface. Killing us and giving our SOUL to Asgore is just his way of accomplishing that. He doesn't give up until: a) we blow his arms and legs off so that he can't be much of a star at all anymore; and b) he gets a call from Blookie. Remembering what actually matters in life is what makes him end the fight. And in Geno, MTT becomes a literal one-hit wonder. When he has to fight to try to SAVE the world, he just isn't cut out for the job.
Asgore. Yeah, he puts up a fight in Neutral. He doesn't want to, tho. He's tired of fighting. He's tired of killing. He doesn't really want to go to war against humanity on the surface. So we can beat him. And in Geno? Where tf was he when his entire kingdom was being decimated??? We get to the throne room and he just offers us tea!
Flowey/Asriel, doesn't matter what name he goes by, every time we fight him, he's trying to defend his position as a wannabe god and keep playing with Chara forever. He fights because he has nothing left in the world to live for. He fights because that's the only thing he can still feel, the rage and the joy of killing. As soon as we remove that feeling from Asriel, he becomes a child's ghost, and then back to a flower, but a helpless and innocent one that can't fight at all anymore.
Lancer's first battle is the only time he poses any kind of a threat, because he's fighting for the right to become "son of the month." (And even I haven't ever died to him.) He's really not a threat in the fight against him and Susie, and he starts missing in the battle between him and Susie. He was never really out to hurt us at all.
Clover isn't too difficult because she's basically just fighting with herself and we got in the middle of it.
K. Round is never a threat, either, because they never wanted to fight, they were forced into it.
Susie (when we fight her alongside Lancer) is about as difficult as one would expect by the time the fight happens. She's fighting to maintain her persona as a bully and a bad person. In all actuality, tho... she's not as tough as we would expect from someone who keeps threatening to bite people's faces off.
Jevil is clinically insane, fighting and killing for the sheer fun of it, and is crazy hard.
Spade King is difficult, and his motivation is purely selfish. He doesn't care about his people- I mean, he wanted to throw his own son off a 5-story roof! He only cares about the Knight that put him into power, about maintaining that power status, and about revenge against the Lightners that sealed him away and never returned. His difficulty in battle is fueled by rage, revenge, and a lust for power.
Sweet Cap'n Cakes claim to be on a crusade, but they really only seem to be interested in having fun and making music without restrictions. Their battle is only difficult because all three of them attack at pretty much the same time and cannot be killed. Getting all of them to dance at the same time ends the battle. Their shop in the city disappears completely in a Snowgrave.
Rouxls is... um, can we even call that a battle? You know what, let's just not even try to analyze him right now....
Spamton. His only reason for fighting, in either Normal or Snowgrave, is to become a [[BIG SHOT]]. And we know how difficult Spammy is. In reality, he's no harder in Snowgrave than in a Normal Route. It just seems harder because there's only one hero character to fight him with.
There are only 3 characters between UTY and UTDR that are more difficult in a No Mercy route than in a Normal route:
Martlet is the last boss that is highly unlikely to kill you at all in Pacifist/Neutral. She turns into sans of UTY in a Geno- and that's her second battle. She's pretty OP when we encounter her in Snowdin, too.
Undyne is difficult enough in Pacifist/Neutral, but we have the option to flee. Her reasoning is that, since she is the Captain of the Royal Guard and Monsterkind's Hero, it is her duty to take our SOUL. But in Genocide, she changes completely. Her Determination, which causes her to melt in a Neutral, suddenly gives her the power to completely transform into a god-like character. And why? Because she is the only thing that stands between us and the world. Because she can see that we aren't just a human- we're some kind of demon that will destroy everything. She's not just fighting for monsters, but for humans, as well.
sans fights us for the same reason, albeit far too late to save the monsters. But he realizes that we will tear down the rest of the world if we keep going, and something inside him decides that he can't allow that. We actually don't know why he suddenly decides to care so much, but he does. He uses every ability he has, from karma, to Gaster blasters, to bone attacks, to teleportation, to even sleeping, just to make us quit. Because he knows we'll kill Asgore. And then there will be nothing to keep us from destroying the rest of the world. We NEVER fight sans in a Pacifist/Neutral, only in Geno. So this weird little guy with only 1 HP left to his name stands up to us, knowing full well that one day we will kill him, but he is literally the ONLY thing left to stop us from destroying the entire world. He may be too late, but when he finally steps up, it's for the right reason. There is no more selfishness in his battle than there is in Undyne's. Both sans and Undyne have no interest in personal gain or glory, but in saving the world.
And then there are 3 anomalies, all of them in UTDR:
Berdly is, to my knowledge, the only character to be no more and no less difficult in Snowgrave than in Normal. (Well, maybe a little easier in Snowgrave, but that's just because of Noelle's spells, not because Berdly himself changed.) He puts up the best fight that he possibly can, no matter whether he is protecting himself, or trying to save Noelle. This, to me, suggests 2 possibilities: a) he cares just as much about Noelle as he does about himself; or b) he really was fighting for Noelle in both routes. I don't think the second option is entirely true, since in a Normal fight, he does "hit [Noelle] in the face with a tornado," and talks more about himself and how superior he is to everyone else than he does about Noelle. But even so, I think she always was a big part of his reason for fighting.
Queen is the only character to have a difficult battle (with multiple phases, no less) in a Normal Route, and no battle at all in Genocide, who is not doing it for purely selfish reasons. Granted, it seems likely that she would want to preserve her comfortable, regal lifestyle, but not only does she never cite this as a reason for fighting, she doesn't even balk at having to leave her mansion and move into Ralsei's castle. The only reason she ever gives for fighting is trying to help the Lightners (the exact opposite of her ex-husband).
I say this all the time: Papyrus CANNOT kill you. Not without the player seriously breaking the game. And as I understand, at Undertale's initial release, he could kill you, accidentally, if certain conditions were met; but this happened very rarely and has since been entirely patched out. So. For all intents and purposes, he CANNOT kill you. So the fact that there is no real Papyrus battle in Genocide is kind of a moot point, since he was never going to kill you, anyway. And, as many people have pointed out, Papyrus should be able to kill you, probably even one-hit you no matter your LV, in a Pacifist/Neutral route. But he breaks the game to make sure that doesn't ever happen, whether by lowering his own stats, moving the final large bone in his "really cool regular attack," etc.
Anyway. I said all this just to make some points about the characters: that most of them pretty well parallel real life. Truth is, most people don't give their all for the right reasons. Most people do only fight to protect themselves and their egos, and not to protect others.

hi, ash! i'd love to hear about your ffxv s/i and your ship with gladio! also, what does iris think about your s/i? :O
YAY!! I love talking about this kind of stuff!!!
(Some talk of death, injury, drowning, a bit of blood + spoilers for the game)
F.FXV Ash was born in the Crown City to two members of the Crownsguard (eventually the Kingsglaive). Ever since she was young, Ash was always fed this idea that her kingdom was amazing. She loved her home so much and she wanted to grow up there forever with her parents and her sister. It all changed when she was 16. She parents were killed in combat.
(In Episode A.rdyn, there's a boss fight against two soldiers... Those were her parents.)
Ash stayed in the city long enough to graduate high-school, but after that, she just couldn't keep going. She felt hollow and empty inside. The murder of her parents shattered her in every single way possible, wrecked her faith and her love to kingdom, ruined her life. She's messed up.
And so, Ash leaves. She makes a name for herself as a monster hunter, drifting from town to town and protecting the people. She comes to be known as Eos' Rose. Beautiful, but with thorns too. She didn't choose to be called The Rose, it's just that part of her outfit is a long, red coat. I still need to work out the details of her outfit and all that, but she has a red coat and quite a few earrings. She has a chain threader going through two lobe piercings on one ear, and a dangling rose earring on the other. Both silver.
(Whenever she was about 20, she met a lonely chocobo chick. This chocobo stays with Ash for a long time. She is a green chocobo named Sage. Sage is Ash's companion and best friend. Sage is very friendly to everybody, but she has a distaste for Gladio and has tried to bite him on multiple occasions. She succeeded once, but more on that later.
Again, Sage is naturally green. Prompto asks about this once.
"Hey, Ash! Why is your chocobo green?"
"Well, I dunno, Prompto. Why are you blond?"
It gets a good chuckle out of everyone.)
Anyways, early into the game, the Chocobros run into Ash! She actually draws her sword on Noct at first and then she realizes "holy shit, you're the prince. Oh my god, I tried to kill the prince. Oh no, oh no, oh no-"
It's a bit of a funny moment, but she ends up allying with the bros and she gets especially close with Gladio. They get along really well, both protectors of people and absolutely dorks too.
Ash is a gamer, so she gets along well with Prompto and Noct. They actually all played Kings Knight together online! So it's a bit of a "WAIT WE'RE KINGS KNIGHT MOOTS?!" whenever they finally meet. She gets along really well with Ignis too! Ash is very close with all of the gang. It's not long before her and Gladio are falling in love, kissing and sharing Cup Noodles under the stars.
And as for Iris, Iris ADORES Ash! Looks up to her as the big sister she never had. Iris thinks Ash is so cool and strong! And she tells Gladdy that if he breaks her heart, she'll kick his ass! Ash really loves Iris too. She was always the youngest in her family too, so it means a lot to her to be able to be an older sister figure to someone. Ash teaches Iris a bit about how to use a sword too.
Anywho, back to the plot.
Ash accompanies the bros whenever they go onto the boat to Altissia. Her and Gladio have a sweet, romantic date there. But that happiness doesn't last. It's been a bit of a running joke that Ash doesn't know how to swim.
The last thing Gladio expected was to lose her.
As Altissia falls, Ash sacrifices herself to save Gladio and Prompto. They both have to watch as Ash falls from a bridge and into the water. They watch as Ash dies. But there's not enough time to save her. Prompto sobs, Gladio screams in horror. Ash is content. She's going to die protecting the people she loves, right? It's not that cute and her almost drowning to death was the scariest moment of her life. She's choking and gasping for air, trying to grab any rubble she can just to stay alive.
Ash isn't seen again for a while. It's part of the reason why Gladio lashes out on the train—he's mourning his girlfriend's death. Whenever he's sitting there across the table from Ignis, you can hear him crying.
However, a few chapters later... Guess who comes back. She's injured, has scars on her face, and her coat is in tatters. Gladio hugs her and cries, Ash tells him to loosen up a bit since she has a few cracked ribs.
"What's the matter? Not a fan of ghosts?"
Gladio tells her that this isn't the time to crack jokes, but he hugs her so tight. She was alive. She was okay.
(However, during this time, Gladio actually found Sage and told her that Ash was dead. Sage bit him hard that day.)
But... How exactly did Ash survive..?
That gets explained in Episode Ignis. I won't talk about Ash's involvement in every DLC just to not make this to lengthy, but in Iggy's... Ravus sees her drowning. He grabs her out of the water and onto land. He's not gentle about it, and the impact of being thrown against rubble isn't great for Ash's bones, but she's alive. Ash is nursed back to health by the survivors of the town. There's a lot more detail there, but that's the gist of what happens.
Ash's relationship with Ravus is fascinating. They bond quite a bit and have a chat under the stars much later, right before Ash reunites with Gladio. I had to dig through like two years worth of discord messages for this but it went something like this
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh and you know that level that's just Gladio and Ignis? Yeah, Ash is there too. She cusses out Ardyn actually. Although I really like Ardyn, my S/I doesn't. He makes a comment that she's quite grown up now. You know how he gets those flashbacks of peoples' memories after he kills people in his DLC? He saw an image of a little girl with red glasses. And here she was, a grown woman.
She breaks off from the group before the Ravus fight. I don't want her to see him like that.
Anyways, then timeskip rolls around. Whenever Noct arrives at Hammerhead is met with a familiar "kweh-kweh!". Sage greets Noct after ten long years, and then Ash runs over. They have a cute hug scene.
However, Ash's outfit is different. Not only is her hair curly (pre-ts Ash had it straightened), but she's wearing... Kingsglaive armor?! Her outfit is vaguely inspired by Crowe from Kingsglaive, but Ash had become a soldier. Not just to follow in her parents' footsteps, but because she had spent her whole life feeling lost and she had finally found a purpose. Traveling with Noct and Co had made her realize that her life had a purpose. She wanted to spend her life protecting her kingdom.
After her parents died, she didn't know what to do with herself. Noct was both her best friend and her king. Noct says that the Kingsglaive outfit looks good on her. It makes her smile. Ash had finally come home to Insomnia, and she had finally found what she was meant to do.
Before the gang leaves, she gives Noct a long hug and tells him to come back alive. She gives Gladio a kiss too.
And that's basically it!

Leveraging Intellectual Property as a Business Strategy: Insights from Engr. Gladdy Christie H. Compasan
An effective company plan may heavily rely on the use of intellectual property (IP). All works of literature, art, inventions, designs, names, symbols, and pictures utilized in trade are considered intellectual property.
Protect Your Innovations
Obtain patents for novel ideas to stop rivals from copying your goods or procedures.
Market Exclusivity
Patents and other forms of intellectual property protection can grant your company a term of exclusivity, during which time rivals are not allowed to use, produce, sell, or import the protected innovation.
Licensing and Collaboration
Give third parties a license to use your intellectual property in return for royalties or licensing costs. Without incurring extra manufacturing expenses, this may be a sizable source of income.
Brand Building and Reputation
Enhancing the value of your brand and drawing in customers may be achieved with a robust portfolio of trademarks and a favorable reputation for innovation.
Utilizing intellectual property as a commercial tactic entails using copyrights, trademarks, and patents to safeguard inventions. This safeguard increases brand value, gives exclusivity in the market, and may be made profitable through licensing. IP may be strengthened through strategic partnerships, cooperative tactics, and defensive measures. In addition, intellectual property may help with worldwide expansion, function as collateral for loans, and influence mergers and acquisitions. To effectively manage intellectual property rules and optimize the strategic advantages of intellectual property, legal counsel is important.

Blog 2: Navigating the Innovation Landscape through Intellectual Property
Tumblr media
In today's ever-evolving realm of technology and innovation, where ideas metamorphose into revolutionary products and services, the significance of Intellectual Property (IP) cannot be overstated. Engr. Gladdy Christie Compasan, the Innovation and Technology Support Office Manager of USTP, recently illuminated the paramount role of IP in a compelling presentation, drawing inspiration from Edward Roberts' notion that innovation springs from both invention and exploitation.
Engr. Compasan provided a glimpse into the evolution of patents, elucidating how intellectual property has evolved into a driving force for innovation. IP, she asserted—
Not only fuels creativity and progress but also propels innovators to explore uncharted territories.
Delving into the philosophy of IP, Engr. Compasan introduced the Bargain Theory and Natural Rights Theory. While the Bargain Theory posits that exclusive rights benefit society through innovation disclosure, the Natural Rights Theory contends that individuals inherently have the right to control and benefit from their creations. These theories, she argued, form the bedrock of IP rights, striking a delicate balance between innovators' interests and the public good.
A central theme of Engr. Compasan's presentation was the pivotal role of IP in harmonizing the interests of innovators and the broader public. Intellectual property rights, she emphasized, are not only a shield for innovators but also a means to serve the greater good. This equilibrium ensures that society reaps the rewards of progress while motivating innovators to push their creative boundaries.
Emphasizing the importance of comprehending intellectual property, Engr. Compasan stressed the empowerment it brings to innovators navigating the intricate web of rights and regulations. Proficiency in IP laws ensures that innovators can not only safeguard but also leverage their creations effectively, nurturing a culture of innovation that benefits individuals and society at large.
The Triad of IP: Protect, Appropriate, Control
Tumblr media
Engr. Compasan underscored the three core purposes of IP rights: protection, appropriation, and control. IP, she highlighted, establishes a legal framework to secure innovators' rights, enabling them to enjoy the fruits of their labor and govern how their innovations are utilized in the market.
In her closing statements, Engr. Compasan underscored that collaboration is the linchpin for innovation and intellectual property. By working in unison, sharing ideas, and respecting IP rights, innovators can collectively propel technological advancement and societal betterment. In a world where interconnectedness reigns supreme, collaboration emerges as the propelling force steering us towards a future defined by unparalleled innovation. Engr. Gladdy Christie Compasan's presentation elucidated the pivotal role of intellectual property in the innovation ecosystem. Grasping and cherishing intellectual property rights is imperative for fostering a culture of innovation in our swiftly evolving technological panorama. Intellectual property serves as the currency of innovation, shaping the trajectory of progress and pushing the boundaries of what is achievable.

Star Wars
Tumblr media
INFORMATION
Medea Carson is a highly trained bounty hunter in catching other assassins and trained individuals. She has no loyalty to the Republic, Separatists, or the Empire. She works for whoever will pay her the most.
As a child, Medea had to fend for herself when her parents didn't care about her. She learned how to survive on the streets. Medea was a master thief and pick-pocketer. In her teenage years, Medea would practice her own fighting style. When she was satisfied, she managed to scam someone out of a ship. This started her bounty hunting days.
Medea made a name for herself in the Galaxy as a feared bounty hunter. She worked with the Republic by hunting down other Bounty Hunters. When the Empire took over, Medea was suspicious of what they really wanted. She was hired to hunt down and kill the Bad Batch.
After Medea had hunted them down, she was about to snipe them, when she saw Omega. Medea dropped her rifle. She had vowed never to hurt any children. She refused to turn the Batch in. Instead, Medea approached the Batch and earned their trust by giving them important Imperial information.
She is not fully affiliated with the Batch, but she does help them from time to time. For now, Medea is working as a double agent for the Rebellion. Medea doesn't care about the risk because she's in it for the adrenaline.

Marvel
Tumblr media
INFORMATION
Medea Carson worked for SHIELD for many years before being caught by HYDRA on a mission. During her time at the HYDRA base, she was experimented on and injected with Super Soldier Serum. She was rescued by SHIELD agents Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton.
Medea's role at SHIELD was a big gray area. Unlike other agents, Medea was often assigned mission that involved taking corrupted people out. Fury put her in this position due to her craziness and bipolar issues. Medea loved her job as it often involved explosions and working with deadly weapons.
When Loki attacked in 2012, Medea was assigned to take him out if it came down to it. Medea eagerly took the job. She didn't realize that she would find out he was just as crazy as her.
When he stole the Tesseract for the second time, Medea tracked him and changed the timeline, resulting in getting arrested by the TVA. She was pruned and ended up in the Void.
Medea survived as long as she could in the Void, befriending many questionable people. Little did they know she was using them. Medea wouldn't hesitate to sacrifice her "friends" to Alioth if it meant she would live another day. She had the unfortunate luck to get caught up with Loki variants. To be honest, she wasn't a big fan of them.
However, she did keep tabs on a couple of them due to her vow of never hurting children. She made sure that the child variant of Loki was always okay. She blamed her poor childhood on her soft spot for kids. Many people including her saw it as a weakness, but she accepted that weakness years ago.
Medea would go on to help Loki, Sylvie, and Mobius destroy the TVA. Once it was destroyed, Mobius came back for Kid Loki, Croki, and Classic Loki. Together with a reluctant President Loki, Mobius, the other variants, C-20, Casey, and Hunter B-15, found a happy ending living in a mansion by the California coast.
Quotes:
"I wouldn't call it crazy. I would call it trouble uniqueness."
"Rude. All I did was stab him. He asked for it!"
"You wouldn't mind if I killed them, would you?"
"Touch my food and I'll take your knee caps."
"I like to call my height fun sized."
"This is my cinnamon roll child. Hurt them, and I will delete you from existence. Don't test me."
"Welp, time for some sleep with benefits." "Sleep with what?" "It's death without the commitment." "Uh..."
"No, no, no, I didn't attack them for no reason. The reason? They took my garlic bread."
"Am I dead yet? No...oh well, time to make it everyone's problem!"
"I'm bored..."
"Did I miss where I said I cared?"
"Too bad, not my problem. Deal with it yourself."

Yes, I am back from the dead, and with something to contribute to the art community. I've always wanted to do MerMay, but never found the time to do it, but now that I have, say hello to this little bean!
For starters, she is not a mermaid-version of any of my other OCs, just a new OC I've come up with for MerMay2024.
Her name is Maristela, meaning "star of the sea" in Latin. Unlike other merfolk in her reef, her tail is bioluminescent because of the algae her mother ate when she was sick and pregnant with her. Even one of her scales is bright enough to illuminate a quarter of the kingdom.
However, with something this rare catches the eyes of some not so good people. Those people being (no surprise) is the royal family. They want to harness Mari's scales, or rather, use her as a power source to light up the kingdom since where they live near a trench and is constantly getting attacked by creatures. These creatures fear the light, and though Mari's mother tells her not to explore too close to the trench, she is the only one who can truly explore it since the trench creatures hate the light.
Unfortunately, the algae her mother ate is just as rare and on the other side of the ocean, and the royal family knows this, and even tho they have no problem with sending some of their men to get the algae, Mari is right there for the picking.
I had a lot of fun making this, and I am very tempted to make this concept into a real story. Doubt I'll make more characters for it cuz I haven't drawn a mermaid in a long ass time, and I am very happy with ho this came out.
Sorry for being dead for a while. School just finished for me, and I just moved back home yesterday, so I have a lot of time to myself, so there may be some more art on the way this summer, but stay tuned to find out!
