the_brianmichael: Last night, 911lonestar won the glaad Media Award for Outstanding Drama Series-and what an honor to close this chapter with such a powerful moment.

I want to thank Tim Minear, Rashad Raisani, and Ryan Murphy for creating this world and filling it with diverse, authentic characters-and for bringing it to middle America as a shining example of what love and showing up looks like.

Thank you for believing in my character and trusting me to bring Paul Strickland to life.

To our cast and crew-thank you for showing up with heart and grit through pandemics, strikes, and everything in between. You made this journey unforgettable.

Right now, LGBTQ+ rights are under attack-but what they take from us, they take from you too. These aren't isolated rollbacks; they're attacks on all of our civil rights. This kind of representation is more than visibility-it's resistance.

I also want to recognize the incredible artists and allies in the room last night who are using their voices and platforms to advocate for our community. Your courage, creativity, and commitment to truth-telling inspire me and remind us all that we're not in this fight alone.

And to my castmates Rafael Silva, actuallyrafa, Ronen Rubinstein ronenrubinstein, and Brianna Baker bedes-thank you for your beautiful, layered portrayals of Carlos, TK, and Nancy. Your queer representation helped make our chosen family real for so many.

This win is for every kid who saw themselves in Paul or TK or Carlos or Nancy and felt hope. It's for the families who became stronger because of the love they saw reflected back at them on-screen.

911: LONE STAR RECEIVES 5TH GLAAD MEDIA AWARD NOMINATION FOR “OUTSTANDING DRAMA SERIES”

The series, which features many LGBTQ+ characters and cast members in series regular roles, was nominated for its fifth season episodes that aired in 2024. In March of 2023, 911: Lone Star received the “Outstanding Drama Series” honor for its third season, its first win in the category.

911: Lone Star has been nominated for each of its five seasons.

The GLAAD Media Awards recognize and honor media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) community and the issues that affect their lives.

Disney Television Animation And Disney Jr. Education & Inclusion Lead Family And Children Nominations For 36 GLAAD Media Awards

The 2025 GLAAD Media Awards nominations have been revealed.

Wicked, Queer, Love Lies Bleeding, Mean Girls and My Old Ass are among the nominees in the outstanding film — wide theatrical release category.

GLAAD, the LGBTQ media advocacy organization, also announced nominees in TV, music, journalism, Broadway and podcast categories. In the animation and family categories, Disney Branded Television snagged multiple nominations with shows and specials from Disney Television Animation, Disney Jr. Education & Inclusion and Disney Original Documentaries.

Disney Television Animation and Disney Jr. Education & Inclusion lead the nominations with Nickelodeon and Netflix as second and third place with shows like Heartstopper, The Fairly Odd Parents: A New Wish and The Really Loud House.

Taylor Zakhar Perez was among the prominent guests on the front row of the Lacoste Spring-Summer 2025 fashion show. At 33, the rising film star showcases his versatility by stepping into the role of underwear ambassador. Open-minded and forward-thinking, he embodies values dear to the brand, such as generosity, respect for others, and boldness. Born in Chicago, Taylor Zakhar Perez grew up in Indiana. After competing as a high-level swimmer, he went on to study Spanish and cultural studies, with a focus on television and film. He gradually made a name for himself on both the small and big screens, taking on roles that cemented his charisma and recognition. One standout role was Alex Claremont-Diaz in Red, White & Royal Blue, a film nominated for Emmys and honored with a GLAAD Award*, which celebrate LGBTQIA+ representation. As an ambassador for the 30th SAG Awards, he used his platform to advocate for open-mindedness. *American awards ceremony honoring media and individuals who positively represent the LGBTQIA+ community.

What does Lacoste mean to you?

"I’ve always loved the brand since I was a kid. To me it represents sportsmanship, discipline, and athletic tradition. Means a lot to me to represent it as a global ambassador. I value the brand for its heritage, its iconic logo, and the values it stands for."

How did you react when Lacoste asked you to be an ambassador?

"They’re iconic – it was equally terrifying as it was exciting. My response was something along the lines of, 'Very funny, guys,' followed by an awkward pause when I realized they were serious. In that moment, all I could think was, Who, me? But truly, I was honored to be asked."

What do you think being a crocodile means ?

"To me, it means being determined, resilient, and empowered. But make it French."

Can you tell us about Lacoste Underwear?

"Well…It’s very comfy, these are the kind of underwear you forget you're wearing—in the best way. Whether you’re lounging, running errands, or just going about your day, they move with you and feel super comfortable. Plus, they just fit right."

How did the campaign shoot go?

"After landing in Paris, I went straight into the buzz of their Spring-Summer 2025 show—it was incredible meeting the teams and the creative director for the first time. A few days later, we shot the campaign in the most beautiful Parisian home. Quentin de Briey and Air Afrique absolutely nailed it, and the vibe on set was so epic—collaborative, fun, and full of energy. It felt amazing to be part of the whole creative process, and I’m really proud of what we made together."

It was here, in a setting of herringbone parquet floors and an antique fireplace, that Lacoste’s new underwear campaign was brought to life. Behind the lens? Belgian photographer Quentin de Briey, celebrated in the fashion world for his raw, sincere imagery. For Lacoste, he played with light and shadow to create textured, intimate visuals.​ Crafted to feel like stolen moments, the campaign also includes video content produced by Air Afrique, a collective and cultural platform dedicated to the arts. Styled by Jason Bolden, Taylor Zakhar Perez appears as charismatic as he is genuine—an exciting start to a long-term collaboration that will extend across Lacoste’s fashion and sports events.​
