I was trying to draw Gonzalo and now I have to ask. does Gonzalo have 2 sets of wings or 3 because in his ref it kinda looked like he has 3 sets of bug wings

Technically speaking, it’s a set of dragonfly wings (which have 4 total), and a set of beetle wings (which have 2, and also these little shell things that are not visible in the ref)

I would ideally like them to be similar to Radiant DreamSwap Nightmare’s wings (here). Glassy, shard-like Things that resemble wings but you can’t fly with

I can’t do that in heroforge tho, so usually I use insect, fairy, or mechanical wings instead.

Everyone knows Ghost cracks jokes even though most of the time they’re very dry or dark. The most he gets are a small huff or scoff, but it’s enough to keep him doing it.

The first time he cracked a joke at you, you both were waiting for exfil after a successful mission, but it was taking a while. You both were a little bored, kicking rocks and talking about nothing when Ghost turned to you.

“Why don’t cannibals eat clowns?” He asked and you gave him a confused look. “Because they taste funny.”

You snorted. You hadn’t meant to but you couldn’t help it since you were caught so off guard by the random joke and the noise made you start laughing, mainly because you were embarrassed.

Ghost’s heart soared and if you weren’t busy trying to calm yourself down, you would’ve seen the hearts in his eyes. It was cheesy, but all he could think was you were so beautiful when you laughed. He wished that he could take the sound and hold it so he wouldn’t forget it days from now as it slipped from his mind. Every part of him wanted to keep you laughing so he just kept going.

More and more jokes, just to get you to laugh until you had to sign to him that he had to stop because you couldn’t breathe.

Ghost had never felt more accomplished and he now had his own personal goal to hear you laugh again.

I must admit it exhausts me a bit when people compare the interactions between the companions in da2 and veilguard and complain that the veilguard crew don't argue viciously enough or don't have enough fundamental unbridgeable ideological differences. like yeah it's almost like dragon age 2 is a game specifically about implacable human discord in all its forms and that's the theme the companions also build up under and provide a lens to look at. and perhaps. just maybe. veilguard is doing something different and also interesting thematically if you look at it for what it actually is, and its companions are playing into those themes instead (come become beside me my friend none of us have this figured out but at least we have each other along the way. you must struggle with who you are. despite the high high stakes on paper, veilguard (sometimes to its detriment, often to its advantage once you realize this is what it's doing) is really not that interested in outward conflict, between ideas or groups or individuals -- most of the real meat and potatoes is in the internal struggle of the characters with themselves and their identities, the ways they've been changed and also stay the same, it's weirdly deeply trans all the way to the depths of the narrative that way, as well as fundamentally being about trauma recovery. again, what you're ultimately fighting is not actually in the realm of elgar'nan and ghilan'nain at all, it's on the level of solas' despair and his regret over what he's done and who he's become).

YEAH here you go! These are mostly gonna be B0TW and T0TK Link since that's who I talk about most on here, but if you want any other version I'd be happy to do that too. Okay so it might actually take Link a second to warm up to being eaten in a friendly manner if I'm being honest because there are. SO many monsters that would love to make him into a proper meal so in his mind it's a bad thing. At least...until it's very firmly established as something affectionate and kind of silly a few of his friends can do. Then once he warms up to it he's an absolute menace. Cannot ever sit still in someone's insides and I mean he absolutely CAN'T. It's impossible he's just too fidgety and can't keep his hands to himself to save his life. That I feel like is true of every Link, but especially our lovely B0TW/T0TK gremlin boy because look at him. Even his idle animations show him constantly stretching, bouncing, and shaking his little hands, so staying still in a stomach really isn't an option. Unless he falls asleep of course which is, a very big probability. Especially if he's bored. Something I think might be a little funny is how easy it would be to startle him by just, grabbing him up. For a normally rather stoic hero it seems very easy to catch him off guard in the games, and I feel like that would very much apply to any time a friend decided to grab him for a snack, even if they hadn't meant to scare him. He'll make the silliest shocked little face before he realizes what happened and chills out. The biggest culprits of just snatching him would probably be Si.don and Dar.uk because, well look at them they're huge.

For Sid.on it's more of an affectionate Z0ra thing I think. It feels like something they would use to transport very young Z0ra still in their tadpole stage if they had to and a lot of fish use mouth brooding anyways to care for their eggs, so it stands to reason that eating someone might be a fairly understood and acceptable thing. Especially looking at all the stuff that happened with Jabu Ja.bu in previous games. Sooo Sid.on has a tendency to eat Link as a way of catching up with his friend after going a while without seeing him, and honestly Link never really minds it. His insides are soft and make a great bed, and they're warm too, so Link honestly just wishes he was given more of a warning sometimes before getting gulped lmao. Dar.uk tho...he was awful about snatching Link up because he thought it was a bit funny. Gor.on eat pretty much exclusively rocks and minerals, so it's possible they might be completely incapable of processing something like a Hyli.an, especially one that's still alive and kicking. Combine that with how much bigger Dar.uk was than Link and....yeah there was really no reason for him not to eat his tiny friend every once in a while lol. Link was pretty fussy about it because he was NEVER given a warning and always grabbed at an inconvenient time, but he never was genuinely mad about it either. Just playfully annoyed and incredibly wiggly. I feel like Link also gets eaten by various monsters he fights like Hinox, Molduga, and other things like that, but it's waaayyyyyy less friendly or fun for either party

I really thought I was a horror fan until I sat down to draw this and came up blank. I guess I'm not a slasher guy, because a LOT more Monsters and Beasts came to mind, so it took a while to form a list. Though I did include Sam who is certainly a Creeture but.. They're human enough.

I KNOWWWW, even with Vikkari I wanted shake him after the whole "well, I wasn't useful while being ripped apart internally by demonic forces, so you must hate me now :) " thing bc sir. SIR. You are a party staple for me. You crit on EVERYTHING, and it's almost all one shot kills. I can't count the number of fights against smaller/mid-size mobs where my melee fighters didn't even get to hit anything bc Lann(and Arue) had killed everyone by the time they reached the enemies. xD Even if I didn't love his jokes(I do) and like him as a character(I do), he's one of the most useful party members.

Then for Trinne you throw in that she likes him quite a lot and loves his jokes and thinks he's cute and is determined to single-handedly help him work on those self-worth issues of his. xD So he pulls the "I'm no good to you, guess I'll just go.." crap and she's grabbing his arm and digging in her heels like "The hell you will, GET BACK HERE"

I think Dynal liking Space Sandwiches means he has a fondness for his homeworld culture but he might come around to Earth sandwiches soon.

As for Duna and Raptin liking Omelets and Steak they were probably the first things they tried on Earth and just became comfort food. Raptin might have been the one to push the button to try and destroy Earth but he does like Earth cuisine.

I can only imagine what a space sandwich actually is. It likely is very similar to earth sandwiches but also Dynal is an alien and thus a space sandwich possibly may not even look or taste anything like earth sandwiches. Dynal may be very hesitant to try earth food, but I think he'd get hooked on earth sandwiches, regardless of how similar or different they may be to space ones.

Duna I think was the first to try human food and convinced Raptin to try it, too. Although Raptin constantly argued with her, telling her that earth food SUCKS and everything humans make SUCKS, he secretly did enjoy steak and could not hide this fact from Duna.

Nowadays, any human dumb enough to leave food unattended may find that their dinaurians friends are quite voracious and WILL eat it the moment no one is watching. The dinaurians LOVE earth food.

How good is your OC at self-control? Are there some things they struggle to resist more than others?

Nailah's a very disciplined and composed person - her self-control is quite good. Almost too good, in fact, as she struggles to be impulsive in her decisions and needs a fair bit of convincing to treat herself on most occasions. One of the few sure-fire ways to test her self-control involves tea cakes or other small pastries - she's got far more of a sweet tooth than she wishes to admit.

Yomi, on the other hand, is absolutely terrible at self-control. She will wander whither her heart takes her, buying pretty baubles and picking up strange hobbies as they catch her fancy, emptying her coinpurse and free time as quickly as she gains them. Her interests change with the winds some days, making it difficult to keep track of what exactly she's up to at times...
