vampires are so cool because one of their abilities is having their senses heightened to an almost unnatural degree - I want a reader who has that same ability, but I don't want them to be a vampire, just super skilled with their senses - how would a reader who's not a vampire have heightened senses? idk,,, what type of humans have heightened senses? - ...blind ppl (💀) have heightened senses cuz they can't see, so they have to rely on the other five to get by (because I believe in sixth senses lol)... crazy connetion, but it's true💀 - LOL imagine remmick and reader going sense for sense fr tho.

Headcanons with a short blurb at the end

If you gave him a cat:

-It would be a calm cat (not an orange one lol) and neither too adult nor too baby.

-You will help him give it a nice name and together you will buy a collar.

-You had heard that a cat's purr can regulate emotions and even cure diseases, so you realized it was perfect for him.

-And when he can't sleep his little kitten is always near his legs purring softly, calming him.

-Twice a week, you visit him to see how he's doing and if he's adjusting to the new pet. You bring him balanced food just in case and stay and play with his cat.

"Hi Bob!, how you doing?". Your footsteps echoed on the wooden floor of his apartment as you opened the door with one hand and held a bag with the other.

He turned around looking at you with a smile "Oh you're early! Let me help you with that" Bob ran to your side taking the bag from your hands helping you come in.

You thanked him tenderly "Yup, I had nothing to do so I took the opportunity to buy things for Cucumber while I came here" you said laughing

The cat was already stretching from the couch and came to your side, meowing curiously. You bent down to stroke his back, which he acknowledged with a loud purr. Bob smiled delightedly at your presence and how well you got along with his pet.

"He is always happy to see you, I think you are his favorite" He said

"Only the cat is happy to see me?" you said mischievously.

Bob smiled and looked down shyly. "No, of course not."

Minutes later, the two of you were sitting on the couch sorting through the bag. Cucumber was between you, sniffing the contents of the plastic bag and tickling your fingers. You had bought a stuffed mouse, some pet food, and a dewormer. The happy kitten began to play with his new toy as if it were prey while Bob and you filled his food and water bowl.

Bob always thanked you for coming to take care of his cat, and secretly of him too.

If you gave him a dog:

-I imagine him with an emotional support dog, like a golden retriever or something, a big dog that you can hug like a person.

-Golden retrievers are very clever at detecting human emotions. The dog always knows when Bob isn't feeling well and always approaches him to lick his face or hands.

-The dog also helps keep him happy, as they're quite hyperactive. Bob is forced to leave the house more often to take him for walks and buy him food.

-Sometimes he goes out late to a square with the dog to distract himself and play ball with his pet since he doesn't have space at home.

-However, sometimes the dog can be a bit overwhelming for him, as he never seems to stop playing, but he quickly understands that there are times to rest. Bob's favorite time is sleeping with the dog in his bed.

That day, you were a little late arriving at Bob's apartment; time had completely slipped by, so you ran over to his house. You already had your keys, so you walked right in, your tongue hanging out from all the running.

You noticed that everything was quiet, and it seemed strange to you. He hadn't told you he was going out or anything, so you got worried. You searched the kitchen until you reached his room, and what you saw melted your heart. Bob was taking a nap in his bed, cuddling the dog who was resting his head on his shoulder.

You didn't want to wake them, but the dog sensed your presence and jumped up to come to you and put his paws on your belly, greeting you with a happy wagging tail. Bob, alerted by the absence of his pet, slowly stretched and opened his eyes, still sleepy.

"Ah, is that you" He said softly

"Yes, sorry. I was late and didn't mean to wake you up. But it seems this rascal gave me away." You said laughing

"Don't be sorry, now you're here. That's all that matters"

Bob shuffled to his feet, his hair a mess, and his eyelids threatening to droop again. He looked so handsome in that state. You gently smoothed away a few stray hairs.

He offered you coffee, and you both sat down at the table to eat breakfast, while the golden retriever rested his paws on your thighs, waiting for something to eat. You couldn't resist his brown eyes, so you gave him a piece of toast.

Hours later, you two, along with the dog on a leash, went to a square to walk, run, and play. The energetic dog made you run several times to chase a squirrel or pigeons that had gathered to eat bread. At one point, the mischievous little dog started running around you both, wrapping you in the leash as if you were a Christmas present. Your legs got tangled up, and you both fell to the ground, Bob on top of you.

He was very embarrassed and babbled insults and incoherent apologies, but you just laughed and consoled him. It seemed like the dog had clear intentions; he was very clever indeed.

Once I’ve showed a DickBabs shipper a bunch of polls about the popularity of Dick's love interests. Of course Starfire had the most votes. I also showed them the statistics of current google searches. Nightwing and Starfire is the more searched up pairing than Nightwing and batgirl/oracle/Barbara Gordon. I did this in response to them saying that DickKory and DickBabs are equally liked and disliked. Their response? 'These polls are on DickKory sites/pages of course Starfire gets the most votes there.' 🤦🏻‍♀️

This discussion started when I suggested on Reddit that Dick should get a new love interest since DK and DB shippers will keep fighting about his current status quo. It’s really unfair that only the DickBabs people are getting fan service meanwhile the large numbers of DK shippers have to suck it up. I’ve said 'The problem with DickBabs is that many people dislike it and keeping Dick in a relationship with Barbara will cause more backlash. That’s why he needs a new love interest since DC isn’t letting him get back together with Kory either.'

In response my comment got downvoted from a few DickBabs shipper and they responded 'Um, that’s not true! DickKory and DickBabs do get the same amount of hate! And I’m one of the people that loves Dick and Barbara together!'

Great, just because some of you happen to like DickBabs doesn’t mean the backlash that the ship is getting isn’t there 😂 I never said DickBabs didn’t have many fans, in fact, there a many people that ship them. But you know what? There are even MORE people that ship DickKory. There are also way MORE people that dislike DB. And that’s a fact DickBabs fans won’t see. At least they are in denial about it, or they seriously think their ship is one of those beloved it-couples like Carol and Hal, Dinah and Oliver, Bruce and Selina, Clark and Lois, Wally and Linda, Diana and Steve, Raven and Beast Boy, Zatanna and John Constantine or Arthur and Mera.

I know giving Dick a completely new love interest is controversial but when I suggested this on Reddit, I swear, the DickKory shippers were all okay with it in the comments and the DickBabs shippers were whining about it, lol. Someone had the audacity to comment: 'The DickKory people will send death threats if he gets a new love interest' uh, honey…the comments were full of DickKory fans supporting this idea. Their comments were 'I prefer Starfire but I’m okay with this if it means he gets someone else other than Barbara'

It was only the DickBabs people in the comments whining about this idea and getting pissed. I had to explain to a few users that DickKory shippers aren’t crazy, they are just fed up with Barbara because Starfire gets put down every time by pro DickBabs writers to prop Barbara up + her history with Dick got erased and downplayed in order for DB to work 😒 Most DickKory shippers are in fact cool with Dick's other love interests, they just can’t tolerate a ship that did so much damage to DK in order for it to even work. There was also a DickBabs shipper that commented: 'Ive never seen any writer "shit" on Kory but alright' in response to this, I showed them all the horrible Anti-Starfire panels and they downvoted me and didn’t respond anymore ☠️

Honestly I agree with giving Dick a new love interest. I've said it many times but I love Dickkory but I don't trust DC with them so I don't really want them together til DC proves they can actually write them well again. But to give Dick a love interest that isn't connected to the Batfam in some way or even Gotham or even Bludhaven in general would be neat. And Kory, baby girl, deserves some love too. Let her have someone too. Maybe a nice lady since Pride is coming up and Pan Kory is canon to me.

Honestly I wouldn't hate DickBabs as much as I did if we didn't have literal panels like this trying to force the ship into being more important into Dick's life then it is.

Trying to act like none of Dick's other love interests, Especially Kory, Didn't matter to him. It feels so vindictive and petty. I've said it before but every time this happens it reminds me of Dan Didio being so pissed he wasn't able to kill off Dick years ago that he had his story in "I know what you did last Crisis" where he has Conner kill Dick over and over and even say the world would be so much better if he died. It was so pathetic. One of the most pathetic things I've ever seen. And trying to make panels like this and having Dick and Barbara have the chemistry of a piece of bread and a wood panel. It feels so much like them being like "No they're totally in love look at them! Look how adorable they are! She's the only woman that matters to him!" And I'm over here like;

Hi hi! I am working on a character design for one of my beloved blorbos, who is an older Black woman (canonically her age is never specified because time in-universe is Weird but I’m assuming approximately somewhere in/near her 80s?). I’ve got most of her design figured out but am debating over a bunch of different hairstyles for her, and if you’re open, would love to hear any ideas of what you’d enjoy seeing in designs of greying Black hair specifically! (Some relevant character info: she was not raised by any Black people (or. presumably any responsible adults in general, as she accidentally got stuck in a different reality) and also grew up poor. however, by the time she’s introduced in the story, she’s presumably had a lot of time to figure out at minimum the basics of hair care. Also, I think she has 3c-4a hair? and for the sake of visual clarity and not looking TOO much like her dad (which, for angst purposes, is kinda necessary oops lol) probably either 1. doesn’t have locs and/or 2. just generally keeps her hair short. her dad has very long well-maintained locs)

Also, regardless of whether you have any particular advice in this situation, I’m pretty much here just to thank you for all the amazing incredible work you put into this blog :> it seems like a lot of very difficult work and I really appreciate the time and effort you put into helping people create well-written (or drawn in this case lol) Black characters, and it’s personally helped me a lot both in my art process and also reframing my perspective on how I interact with the Black people around me. Status Report and things to come...

Hello all! I wanted to check in and give some updates and links and all that jazz.

Things are cooking! I'll probably be fairly quiet off and on in the next month or so, but that will change. I just have a lot of stuff to do and get through before I'm at a stage where I can unleash hell. I am also planning on opening up asks more after I get adjusted (perhaps mid July).

The last couple of weeks were super busy for my personal life. Nothing terrible, just a lot of things all at once that needed to be done ASAP. There isn't much news on the production front, other than the May subscriber extras were posted today. The spicy one features male Rune and a new MC customization which I am testing for implementation into the the main game. The side story features a gender selectable Rune but is a fairly streamline cute story. Links are at the bottom if you are interested!

As I said before, I'll be kicking up another project as soon as time allows this season. And I've had an idea...

Subscribers this month also got access to what was essentially a prologue for another IF. If you've been kicking around a bit, I did a poll a while back where I spun different ideas and everyone voted for their favorites. Number 1 stole the show, but all ideas had an outpouring of support. The prologue mentioned is actually for #3. I started writing it just for fun to play with how that IF could start (I was in a mood, lol). I got some good feedback on it, so then I got another idea.

I think I want to do this for each of the new project ideas that I have and want to run with. Writing an intro for them will help me form them in my mind and give them some life and structure. As I get these done, subscribers will have the first crack at them, but they'll eventually go public. And then...then we vote. This gives me a chance to know if I am just not going to enjoy one idea or the another and such, and it gives you a chance to sample new stories to see what interests you the most in practice.

I will be doing one for each story idea from the poll PLUS one more. They will be very plain. Using no templates and just super basic coding to give the idea and feel of the actual project. The pretty stuff will come later. I don't know how long they will be. My guess is from 6k-10k words. I will work on them when I can but for the rest of May and all of June, Chapter 6 of GC is my priority. I would really like to have it done soon. This year has been obnoxiously busy so far, but things are going to slow down soon so my schedule opens up more.

Also to come are more character portraits! Subscribers get the first look and then a week later, they will go public. I'm a bit behind on that, and will have some super secret art to post after this!

Other than that - I'm hanging in there, I see some things in my Tumblr inbox I will get to soon, my shoulder is the same and I'm still doing therapy, and my kitty cats are great!

Likeeee I honestly love an angsty ass fic. I was falling out of love with reading fics, I couldn’t even find or read a single good book that wasn’t…bland? Idk how to explain it but they weren’t really giving any plot or anythingg. It’s just short blurbs (don’t get me wrong I like reading blurbs but not everytime I search for a long ahh fic it’s just a short lil blurb) reading the emperor fic made me genuinely happy I was like ‘omg long fics with a good ass plots are so back’

it’s honestly gotten to the point where i’m sick of having to slap panel screenshots and in-depth warnings before every chapter like i’m defending a court case. every time i post a new update, i have to brace myself for someone to come into my inbox like “um actually i don’t think mark would do that…” and it’s like...babe. he did. in the comics. literally.

RANT INCOMING LOL.

“the kiss came out of nowhere in unshaken” YEAH. exactly like it did in the source material. in less than ten hours mark went from planning to sleep with amber, to seeing eve, to impulsively kissing her while amber was crying at home waiting on him. that wasn’t me making it up for drama. that was me adapting the canon decision he made in the messiest, most impulsive way possible.

“he wouldn’t take reader to lunch after everything!” are you kidding me?? this is the same man who ignored multiple people, including cecil, and sided with DINOSAURUS because he truly believed he could help him. after everything. mark’s morality has never been black and white. he’s incredibly loyal, incredibly stubborn, and when he feels guilt or debt? he acts fast.

reader literally saved debbie’s life. he’s not gonna let that go. taking her out to lunch with william present while eve takes time to herself isn’t cheating. it’s not shady. it’s mark doing what he always does, trying to do right and show he's thankful, sometimes messily.

kiss with reader is a separate thing. it’s built off the same flawed impulsiveness he’s always had. the same way he cheated on amber in the comics and immediately felt like shit, went back, told her, and broke it off. and in unshaken, he does the same. he tries to come clean to eve, gives her space, and goes through a long, miserable breakup arc feeling like the world’s worst person. he talks to william about it. he spirals. he doesn’t just move on like nothing happened.

but every time, people still cry “ooc!! mark would never!!” and i’m like… did y’all read the same comic?? or did you just watch the show and decide fanon mark is your emotional support boyfriend and can never make a bad call?

like at this point it genuinely feels like people refuse to read between the lines or engage with any nuance when it comes to mark’s character. either that or they just don’t understand him at all and still feel bold enough to complain.

you don’t have to agree with every choice he makes, but acting like it’s completely out of character for him to make emotionally charged, impulsive, messy decisions? baby that IS his character. mark has always led with his heart, for better or worse. he overextends. he reacts before thinking. he does things with the best intentions that blow up in his face. and he owns it. that’s the whole core of his arc in the comics.

but it’s like some people just skim through and go “well in my fanon version he’s soft and perfect and would never…” like okay. good for your fanon. but this isn’t that.

i try to write him accurately, with depth, with flaws, with emotional complexity. so when people start getting mad at him doing things that he canonically did, i’m like be serious. mark grayson has been doing morally gray dumbassery since issue ONE. y’all just don’t want to admit he’s not your perfect soft boy, he’s a grown man with guilt, trauma, and a savior complex. and if you can’t read between the lines of why he acts the way he does, you’re missing half the point.

and while we’re at it, i cannot BELIEVE people were expecting cecil to be some kind of father figure. like be for real. cecil has never been that guy. he’s not here to coddle anyone, especially not a superpowered kid who could rewrite reality on a bad day. he says it himself...his job comes first. always.

he’s not going to be soft just because reader had a rough childhood. he’s going to monitor, manipulate, and contain, because that’s what he does. that’s what he’s always done. and the “closure” people keep expecting from him? it’s not some big heartfelt apology. it’s him finally letting go of control. giving her freedom. that is the apology. that’s cecil’s version of saying “you earned it.” and he only does that after she kills angstrom and proves she’s not a danger to the country anymore.

at the end of the day, i’m not gonna flatten these characters to fit some sanitized fanon mold. mark is messy, cecil is cold, and no one’s getting a perfect little resolution tied up in a bow. i’m writing from the source, with all the nuance, ugliness, and emotional weight that comes with it. if that’s not your flavor, that’s okay! but don’t come at me for staying true to what’s already been there. this isn’t fluff. this is fallout. and i’m gonna write it that way every time.

- he treats you like a princess though like when he brings you to his parties he will bring you EVERYWHERE

- like a bodyguard too, will bring all your stuff even if they're heavier than his gym bag

- you're the one to always patch things between him and kenma when they fight because they're like literal children

- asks for your help to get kenma to eat when he plays too much

- a whiny bitch too like he's the type of person that's actually so clean so when he encounters a room that's dirty or a bathroom he thinks is too wet or has too much grime in the tiles, he will gag and pinch his nose (same goes for tsukishima)

i have gotten many messages asking me if i was the one behind a first of summers (because apparently my art style is very recognizable i can't hide from you guys!!), and i've been ignoring them for months (sorry, everyone) because i was never fully proud of the work that i was putting out there. i still don't think i am at a point where i can confidently promote my work like a normal person would because me and shame are like this -> 🫂. but i am working on getting better at managing my shame and making this post is a step towards that goal. in a way, i felt more reluctant to post about it here because i see the connections i've made on tumblr as real tangible friendships rather than parasocial ones so it's even more embarrassing.

as a lover of yaoi, slice of life and queer media, i tried to make something that i personally would like to read, in an art style that i would have found inspirational when i started digital art. here are some panels that i am kind of proud of ahh hee hee

to be honest it feels very very weird to "make a story" and "share it with people", because i've never done something like this before and having to offer my personal themes and internal symbols to people in the hopes that some of you may resonate with them feels like i'm running down the street with my whole ass out in the open. idk how people do this.

also, i know a lot of you consume media illegally and i know that i alone can't stop you from doing that. which is why i'm all the more thankful to anyone who chooses to support me by buying the chapters on the official websites. i'm slowly learning that this (working on stories and drawing) might be something i want to keep doing and get better at, so i'm so deeply grateful to those who make that possible for me by supporting me financially. it always feels super nice when people show appreciation for my art and recommend it to other people and talk about it.

Infamous is 2 years old!

So sorry this was late! Funnily enough, I was deep in the Infamous trenches that I didn't remember until now! Ha! Two years is a long time. I didn't think this would turn into anything when I posted the intro post.

Infamous was born from my desire to read a band IF after a weekend binging band-related stuff. You can imagine I was gutted that there was a hole of music/band related stories in this community. The (amazing!) band stories were either demo-less or dead. Once that happened a seed of an idea was planted in my head. One I couldn't shake off :,) and thus Infamous was born.

500k words, three chapters (lol) and nearly 10k of you later (woah) and here we are! I love Infamous with all my heart and I'm happy to see that it's touched some of you, no matter how big or small. The art, the fanfic, the questions and funny musings in my inbox; they give me a lot of energy and motivation. I'd probably have given up on this a long time ago if not for how kind and supportive this community is to me. You guys do not have to welcome me the way you do every day. Or be so gracious and patient with my ramblings and stupid ridiculous jokes and Savina teasing but you are. I am very lucky. Thank you.

I wish I had something prepared but as we know I am not a very organized person. Instead, as a way to celebrate, I've uploaded an extended Chapter 4 snippet. For those on Patreon who have already read it, I did extend this one—not by a lot but still. It's something new.

There will be typos, errors (if there are game-breaking errors, lmk!), skipped scenes, some paragraphs/convos not fleshed out, and empty choices because I am lazy and fill those out near the end. (I usually write a big picture skeleton first and then map out the scenes in deeper detail). Plus, I don't want to spoil too much haha
