An Angel/Demon au but more like im remaking whole HP universe that no one asked for but i did it anyway because i simply just h a d to...

Under cut for now because its just me rambling about it with no proper art. And its...long...

Okay you are here, are you ready??

At first, i wanted it to be some regular A.D. au that demons in hell and angels in heaven and they are enemies bla bla you know all that beautiful aus like that already

so welcome to my version of it, kinda crossover like.

In hp universe we have muggles - wizards/witches. I turned this into humans - angels/ demons. So humans are like muggles, living their life with no magic and no idea about it. Angels and demons are like wizards/witches, have magic and knows about humans. Angels and demons are not holy creatures, they belong in Earth and lives there.

Angels have light magic. They have white, bird like wings and that light magic comes from wing's feathers. Only most powerfull angels have ring on their heads (i really dont know its name...)Demons have dark magic. They have black, bat like wings and that dark magic comes from wing's scales. Only most powerfull demons have horns on their heads.

Light magic is creator, dark magic is destroyer. Simply, an angel can create a light, but cant make it disappear. A demon cant create a light, but can destroy it.

Because of that, most demon and angels works as team aand lives with each other. And a note, Hybrids cant exist, they simpy just demon or angel. Because dark and light magic destroy each other, one dominate other in every situation. (Also pureblood supremacists? They are still here, turned into all demon or

all angel families. Kinda still purebloods??)

Normally, angels and demons doesnt need to use wand to use their own magic. But they have it anyway. Why? To be able to use other magic kind that they dont have. Let me explain.

I thought it would be pain in the arse to live with not being able to basically cast Lumos but not Nox. Or opposite. So, im sure they would try to find a way to use other magic kind. Then i thought how???

Basic. An angel will have a wand that uses the power of demons wing's scale. A demon will have wand that uses the power of angels wing's feathers. Most impostant point is, actually that wands are just like in normal hp universe. To be able to use it as other magic kind, person need to power it up with feather/scale regularly. Because of that, every demon and angel has to donate some in periots, to Ministry. But some people like families or Aurors, ones that works as teams, they doesnt get it from Ministry, they get it from their partner. Because emotional bond between users makes is more powerfull. ıdk how, it just does because i want it jhgfdfghjkl also ✨magic✨

I think now i can move on Hogwarts and our Hphm characters. Thats where things gets exciting jhgfdfghjk.

There is just two houses now, for demons and angels (I couldnt find a name for them so if you have l e t m e k n o w p l s).

Demons, main color on uniform is black, as a second color person can choose one or two of cold colors (basically shades of blue,green and purple). House symbol is Dragon SİMPLY BECAUSE İ WANT AND İ CAN?? but also it has similiar wings with demons.

Angels, main color on uniform is white, as a second color person can choose one or two of warm colors (basically shades of red, orange and yellow). House symbol is Abraxan because wings and its light colors

Here a simple drawing of Talbott as angel and Rowan as demon, just because i wanted to see something about au. Also i didnt think about uniform much, so there is a chance i can make it more beautiful. ALSO i made Rowan demon because how they are mc's house, i mean they need to in mc's kind, but you feel free to change this if u want

. Im not happy with drawings b u t i didnt think about them much. so. dont judge meee.

And no robes OR different dress code based on gender. No one wants robes or skirts while flying. NO ROBES AND SKİRTS AS UNİFORM. Thank you :)

Demons: Night, Cordell, Tonks, Tulip, Andre, Merula, İsmelda, Bill, Jae, Skye, Murphy, Snape, McGonnagal, Madam Hooch.

Angels: Penny, Chiara,Diego, Badeea, Talbott, Barnaby, Charlie, Ben, Liz, Erika, Orion, Dumbledore, Flitwick, Sprout.

Normally student get sorted by hat in their house, in first year. İn that au, student get sorted in their team.

İn hogwarts, every demon has one main partner, an angel. And one secondary partner, another demon. Same goes as angels. And anegl have one main demon partner and secondary angel partner. Main partners makes the real team.

İt sounds little complicated, so allow me to give an example.

Night is demon. Their main partner is Talbott -angel- and secondary partner is Rowan -demon- The team is Night-Talbott. Rowan and Talbott has really nothing jhgfghjk.

I come up with everyones teams, but telling it like this would be hard, i will just write it like that:

Simple right??? Okay im starting, it might be confusing so maybe take a break before it?? Idk i felt bad for making this post s o long...

Herbology: Sprout-A- and Snape-D-

Potions: Snape-D- and Flitwick-A-

Madam Hooch-D- teaches every first year to fly properly and she still quidditch referee

okay im gonna type up my hadestown costume ideas bc why the heck not hope u enjoy x feel free to share yours/add on if you want.

note: in my production orpheus is female for Reasons (also hades could also be a girl i dont think it rly matter for what i suggest)

overall my vibes are more ~fantasy~ but still grounded in reality ??

Hades: honestly the vibes from the bway costume are great love it and the suit. especially the wall tattoo im stealing that. i do however want more red incorporated for like,, colour analysis reasons bc im a whore for colours that have meaning. have some photos for an idea (the last is my fave i think):

also with that i found this walking stick thing that feels quintessential hades so here that too (along with a cape that i think he should wear during his entrance bc parallels later ig?

overall: similar to the bway costume but more fantastical in a vampirey way?

Persephone: okay for the most part i was just seeing pretty dresses with florals and sticking them in her board. but they all have the same vibe which i still think i would like. also her colour is still green (complimentary colour to red). have some pictures:

and then at some point i got a GREAT idea. but i dont know how to implement it exactly yet. okay so similar to how broadway has a green and then black costume for the different acts; in the first act her skirt is more ballgown-y and poofy which should resemble flower petals in bloom (possibly more structured so its obvious unlike the more flowy dresses i showed although i think the ideas would still be seen with the skirts above) and then in act 2 the dress is much more slim-fitting against her body so it looks like the flower petals have wilted and are clinging to her body?? does that make sense?? i love it anyway.

overall: more fairy-queen whimsical vibes than broadway and a lot more emphasis on floral details.

Orpheus: okay i dont know why but i get major farmery/cottagecore vibes from orpheus like they just wanna vibe to music and forget about the real world?? so naturally i wanted to get those vibes. i wanted it to have similar vibes to bway with the white shirt and suspender type look so heres some pictures i found:

orpheus’ colour is that ochre yellow (similar colour family to persephone -> shared values). i liked the idea of the apron too (same as bway) but yknow,, cuter. i also wanted more details on the shirt so i liked the flowery embroidery details (on both the shirt and shoes) to really tie orpheus to the overworld. i did however want orpheus to have a cape when they go into the underworld bc i feel like thats what all fantasy adventurers do when they ~adventure~. so i was looking at capes until i found one that i think went with what i imagined for the dress.

the first cape is what i originally imagined but thought that it was almost too big and thick for orpheus so then i found the one on the right which i LOVE as its shorter and lighter and goes better with the dress underneath which is similar to the ones i showed at the beginning. (also there could be some analysis between hades and orpheus about how hades’ cloak covers his whole body as if hes hiding himself whilst orpheus’ still makes them look vulnerable especially as they both wear the cloak in the world theyre not familiar with.)

bonus costumes: the guitar!! i found some rly cute guitars which i love the idea of orpheus having a doodled guitar especially with motifs found within the show:

pretty tree/floral/naturey designs !! you get what im putting down.

overall: cottagecore orpheus is what we deserve

Eurydice: okay eurydice was hardest all i knew is that her colour would be a dark purple (complimentary to yellow and similar to red). at first i was think more london eurydice with jeans or overalls because i knew i wanted her in trousers. but i thought this made her look too pedestrian in compared to the others (idk mayb that would work considering theyre gods and shes,, not?) i didnt entirely like it so went to the fantasy drawing board and found these (but pretend theyre shades of purple):

i like that they like theyre made out of materials found on hand and just thrown together for warmth but they also look agile as hell which is good for eurydice imo as i see her as a lil pickpocket just tryna get by. so something similar to this. i think i would keep the act 2 worker outfit pretty much the same, especially if we remove any hints of colours (espc purple) to remove any identity similar to what bway does already.

also bonus accessories:

still boot wearing but more steampunky? possibly still with some natural elements but more about the moon/sun rather than flowers, i cant quite explain but to me they give of different meanings?? idk. also the CUTEST pouch that resembles a flower which would be the only thing resembling a flower. like she would associated orpheus with the flower but she also has this other association between money and a flower so its like theyre her two major conflicts and theyre assoicated with the flower idk man i think u understand what im getting at.

overall: steampunk/fantasy thief vibes

bonus prop for hermes simply because i love it and want you to see it:

flower/leaf umbrellas !! yknow like in way down?? its cute thats all (dont think they close tho but we can work it out its not as if im actually making them.

in the bridge

“Liberating the Balmera will not be a easy task”Allura said

“So what’s the plan ? "Jay asked

“We go in and go pow pow pow and free the prisoner ” lance said

“What was that noise ?” Keith asked

“laser guns ”lance said

“no lance I think you mean kapow kapow vvvvv boom”hunk said

“no those sound like fireworks” lance said

“technically they're move like puacku puacku puacko” Pidge said

“Enough of the bad sound effects besides its more like blam blam blam”Shiro said

The group began to argue about laser sound leaving Adam and Jay to laugh

“So this is why you were going to marry him he’s great with kid” Jay said smiling

“ yes along with other things “Adam said

“you guys planning on having kids when this is all over ?”Jay asked

“yeah after all this me and shiro need something normal in our lives we may adopter another galra kid or some other race or just go with a human kid”Adam said

“wait another galra kid what do you mean by that” Jay asked confused

Adam pointed to the knife Keith had "the symbol on the knife match something I read while I was in the med bay waiting to recover from the crash it was from one of the info table something about a group of assassins who had blades look like the one Keith has but the name of the group was never said and If I remember were Keith used to live it was a few miles from the crash site of the ship that brought the blue lion. The ship crashed twenty years ago and left the earth three years later. Keith is eighteen and his mom left when he was one.�� Adam said

“so are you going to tell him or have you done that already?” Jay asked

“No not yet I told Shiro and that is it .I'm wait for the right time to tell him but that might have to wait a little bit longer I just want to double check before I tell him. I don't want to throw him off before the mission” Adam said a little worried

“Alright just tell him when your ready”

“Hey Jay can you prove a point?” Lance asked

“what is it lance” Jay replied

“what dose a laser gun sound like” lance said

standing up from the box he was siting on and throwing the bottle of water he had into the air and pulled out his Bayard and like his normal revolver he fanned the hammer as he fired it . A crackling whistling sound rang though out the room right before the bottle exploded on impact from the bolt of energy.“Sorry your all wrong that is what a real laser gun sounds like” Jay said blowing off the smoke from the mussel of his Bayard . trying to be cool he spun the Bayard round like a cowboy from a the old western movie he watch as a kid and completely fuck up putting it back in the holster by missing the holster completely almost shot himself in the foot.

Everyone laughed at that only to be intruded by Allura who was mad that they were not taking the situation seriously.

“Sorry princess” Shiro said

“so with the balmera being a live and in poor heath we cant just run and gun” Hunk said

Yes with the galra are just taking the crystal that are the life force of the balmera with out performing the rejuvenation ceremony to replace what they take.” Coran said

“So what is the plan then. if we can’t just go in guns blazing what do we do” Jay asked

“We Draw the soldier to the surface and fight then there” Shiro suggested

“No we attack the mining equipment on the surface and that will do the trick” Hunk said

“one problem we don't know how many soldiers that will remain in the tunnels if we attack the mining equipment” Keith said

“What about the blip tech “Allure said

“the what?” Adam asked

“the Biothermal life indicator point “ Jay said like it was common knowledge

“How did you know that” Hunk said confused

“Remember I'm not from earth and im half altean I learn this stuff in school. Just like I know how to pilot a ship”Jay replied

“You learned how to fly in public school” Shiro ask

“Yes because we need to learn these skill just in case the garrison or the galra attack and so we can back. So in high school we learn to fly and to handle fire arms basically it a military school with more of a focuses on things that actually help you in life ”Jay said

“ok back to the plan with Valkyrie’s building invisibility and the modifications pidge as done to the green lion giving it cloaking as well we cane drop the drone faster and there is also a power generator we need to take out” Allura said

“I'm down to drop the drone with pidge if you wants me to” Jay said

“no I can do it myself” Pidge said with a little edge to her voice

“ok short stack no need for the anger" Jay said

“I will take out the power generator�� Shiro said

“I'm coming with you”adam said

“So coran where are you and Allura going to be during all of this?”Pidge asked

“We will be in the clouds.do to the fact that the castles is still weak for sendak’s galra crystal. So we will be play the support roll for this mission” coran said

“alright Now with every set lets go team”Shiro said

Heading to the hanger bay Jay texted Nyma and Rolo about the stupid thing they were about to do with No responds. Jay didn't care all that much by he did this with his family every time he when on a salvage job so it just felt right . Going in to Valkyrie’s cockpit jay starting the ignition sequence and watched the Prometheus leave the hanger and follow behind meeting up with the lions. They make their decent on the planet serval structures began to fire on then

“alright team focus and keep in mind that the balmare can’t be harmed” Shiro said

Pidge broke off from the main group to drop the drone. As for the rest they began to fight the structures. Lance took out several of the structures with the lion’s tail cannon. Hunk smashed though other structures , Adam and Keith were fighting off Strikers. Jay had Val transform in to her humanoid form crushing one of the cannon under her foot and using the new weapon it look like a staff with the top of it looking like the original weapon the robeast had then he launched the ball in to other cannons and some striker that were dumb enough to go after him. As for Shiro he wonder about how he was going to take out the generator then suddenly the black lion’s jaw blade display appeared. Understanding what the black lion it wanted summoning the blade Shiro flew though the arcs cutting though them until the power generator exploded. Meanwhile pidge finish off dropping the drones across the Balmera enabling the castle of lions to map out the life forms inhabiting it.

“this is to easy I don't like it” say said

“Don't jinx it “Lance said

“look out” Adam yelled Dodging a massive blast of energy

“the main cannon is still online how” Keith say dodging another blast from it

“My guess is it has its own power generator Jay said launching a ball that exploded on contacted with the cannon

only to see the red lion fire a heat ray from it mouth melting though the tower the cannon was on.

“that was awesome” Keith said

“Why don't I have anything like that” lance said jealously

“Guy the towers coming down 'Shiro said

Hunk and jay tried to hold up the falling tower the best they could. As the two struggled to hold the tower lance flew in to action at the prodding of the blue lion and fired a frost ray coating the falling tower in ice stop the collapse.

“ok now that was cool and it suits me so well” lance gloated

The balmera when silent with no galra troops insight the current battle was over.

“Good job team we made quick work of this now Princess what's are next step?” Shiro asked

“alright there is a hangar bay full of enemy strikers , a prison camp deeper under ground and one prison camp closer to the surface of the balmera with one prisoner currently there ” Allura said

“Ok then Keith and lance go to the hanger hunk go to the prison close to the surface Pidge and Adam try and take out as many sentries and get and civilians out of there and Jay” Shiro Said

“I know i know go to the prison camp deeper underground scrape as many bots has I can and free the prisoners right” Jay said

“Alright if we all know are objectives. lets do this "Shiro said

At Zarkon’s central command system

“Commander Prorok Voltron is at the balmera just like you predicted” A galra soldier said

“Good now thace tell sub commander Ylvik to move in an capture Voltron” Prorok Said

“Shouldn't we tell emperor Zarkon about this?” Thace asked

“I will tell the emperor myself ”Prorok said with a smile.

Back at the balmera

each team made it to their objective. When Adam left the Prometheus beau took control and lifted the ship up from the ground and started to fly around making shore no one got the drop on then. Jay had left the Valkyrie on his speeder down the tunnel then told her to help beau watch the skies. Going down the dimly lighted tunnels was kinda unsettling for jay he only got off the speeder when the tunnels got to small for the speeder to pass through. Walking down the tunnels was even more unsettling. the map he was using was telling him he was about four mile from the prison camp witch was not good for him because even if he ran at his fastest and stretched out all his legs it would still take him a hour and a half to get to the camp. He needed to find a shorter route.His thought process was intruded by the voice of a young boy yelling

“get off me you metal headed morons” the kid said

Jay pecked his head around the corner of the tunnel and was three sentries and a galra solider with a mask over his face and a rob on. Jay though about how he going to save the boy from the small group of galra. but when we was thinking up a plan he saw the sentries raising their blasters about to shoot the kid. Jay acted on instinct he ran from the tunnel he was in and fired his Bayard at the group hit all three of the sentries and hitting the solider in the left leg and right arm. Giving the boy a chance to jump on him and started to punch the hell out of the Robed man . Jay made shore the sentries were offline before he pulled the kid off the solider who’s face look like it was hit with a sledge hammer.

“Hey kid calm down he had enough” Jay said but quickly went silent after he saw the hands of the kid they were dripping with blood but that wasn't what caught his eyes the arms themselves were made jade all the way up to the boy’ s shoulder then they started to turn back to the normal. which to jay made no sense

“Why he had my dad and I in that camp and he’s been trying to kill me for the past three weeks” the kid yelled.

the boy looked like he was about ten to eleven and he looked like he hadn't eaten or bathed in like a week or so. as well has the weird jade color horns on the kids head

” Ok one you look like shit two how long has you dad been in prison , three what is your name and four what were they doing to you down there ?” Jay asked

“I’m Fitz ,my dad and I have been in prison for the past four years I got out three week ago but he didn't.” Fitz put his right arm on to his left and rubber it up and down turning his head to the galra solider.

It didn't take a rocket scientist to tell that the galra were experimenting on the people Shiro was the perfect example of galra code of ethics. walking up to the man with the broken face and mask and saw the man was still breathing. Jay didn't want this robed man to come back to fight him. so jay had to do one thing he pulled out handcuffs and clamped the to the robed mans wrist and legs

“that was a little excessive ” Fitz said

“Yes but you can never be to careful. plus he wont hurt you anymore and as long as your with me nothing will ever again. Now let’s get you to you father “Jay said

Fits nod and hugged jay”thank you”

“now do you know a way to the camp that wont get us notice by the sentries?” Jay asked

“I do follow me”Fitz said running to a hole in the wall “I was going to use this hole here before the galra caught me. it was the hole i used to get out of the camp my dad and I were trying to get out together but the guards grabbed him as he was getting into the tunnel after me .But why are you trying to get in to the camp mister?” HE asked

“First my name is Jay second I'm a paladin of Voltron and were trying to save your planet” Jay replied

“What is Voltron?”

“Its a huge robot made up of five smaller robot lions but I pilot a robot dragon the turns in to a smaller version of Voltron”

“That weird “Fitz said

“Yes It Is” Jay said

The two kept on talking as they went in to the hole they were met by a slope that they slide down.as the two slid down the tunnel. the map jay was use said that he was going to the camp fast then the original plan. then they exited the tunnel to find themselves in a cell.

Fitz looked around the room looking for some one “Where is he”

“no clue but I guess they moved him to a new cell” Jay said looking around the room and saw the door was bend outwards he guessed that Fitz dad was a fight just like his son”

“we have to find him “Fitz said his voice cracked

“Alright just get behind me” Jay said raising the Bayard and fired it in to the door.

The door was blown backward. Catching the attention of the guard of this cell block it walk to the door only to be punched by a balmeran child then it was shot by the bigger person it saw in the cell. it tried to call for reinforcements but no one was come the were all send to deal with the other intruders then it saw the barrel of the bigger one’s gun then it shut off

“thank you guys for being the best distractions a guy could ask for” Jay though to himself then walked to a console that may open the door. placing his left hand on the console and all the doors open letting out other balmerans who had parts of there bodies changed to other minerals .they all stared at jay then they all start to run out of the room Fitz stood there wait to see his dad but the room empty and the sound of other doors being open and sentries being smashed to bit .Fitz ran around the cell block looking in to each cell. when he left the room jay followed behind him in to the main lobby of the prison camp and saw more balmerans running out of other four block. Then Fitz ran in to the next block looking for his dad this happened for the next two blocks the two stood in the front of the last blocks door Jay was scared that Fitz was about to be heart broken but he open the door the block was empty after all the balmerans had ran out Fitz was running to each cells only stopping in front of one door that scared jay even more.

“Hey buddy what is wro” Jay stopped in his tracks and saw a body of a man hanging by a chain he walked over and brought the body down and checked the man’ vitals he was dead . Jay looked up at Fitz to see his reaction. Fitz was just standing there tears running down his face ,fists clenched and his eyes were closed. Jay did the one thing he could think of at that moment he walked over to Fitz and picked the boy up sat down and held the grieving child in his time of need it was the only thing jay could do for Fitz . But Jay still had a mission to do and he had to meet up with the other . so jay stood up letting go of Fitz. But Fitz didn't let go of jay he just held on to him tightly not want to lose some one else today. So before they left Jay walked back to a console he used to let out the first cell block of prisoners and started to download the lab report of the experiments that happened down here hoping pidge can unlock the files so he could read them then they made his way to the core.

“ I was to late to save him I failed him” Fitz said

“Are you alive” Jay asked

“Yes” Fitz said

“Then you didn't fail him a parents job is to make shore their children lives along a happy life and has long as your alive Your father dead was not in vain and as long as I live I will try to make shore you live the life your father would have wanted you to live.” Jay said holding back tears

Fitz hugging jay a little tighter ”Hey can I go with you when this is all over”?

“I don't see why not and I would be a horrible parson if I left you here with no one to watch you” Jay said

They make there way to the other unaware of the trap they were walking in to

i redid an ask meme that i had originally done ~3 years ago to see the comparison so for archiving purposes im putting it in a lil journal entry here ! i wanna start doing small journal entries again it was fun when i did that

yo i got a question, why/how are your original character designs so consistently excellent??

AAAAAAAaaaaa!! o(*≧□≦)o Thank you so much!!

I less design my OCs to look good and rather, try my best to design them around their personalities and backstories if you know what I mean? I apologize I’m probably going to go on a bit of a ramble here with little to no knowledge of design because I really love my OCs;

Edit now I’ve actually written all of this: ITS SUPER LONG IM SO SORRY

Like, for example, Neta’s design is based all around looking warm and making her look short. She’s the start of her plot, always kind and helpful. Somewhat impulsive (extremely impulsive at times really). She’s also a somewhat abstract detective too. So for her I gave her a warm palette for her personality, also a really long coat because characters wearing long drapey clothing like the trench coat that covers most their body seems to make characters look smaller to me? I went with the boots for the same reason.

On the other hand, her girlfriend Fuyu (excuse the old art I’ve not drawn her recently) is different because of this. Their colours are blue in hues because she’s like a “Cool untouchable” looking person, since her character has a job based in fame. Her outfit while it had to be something water-based for plot reasons, could of quite easily been a wetsuit. It’d of been less sexually appealing though and that’s not in her personality. She’s the type of person to exploit people she doesn’t know by using her charm, and showing off her legs (which are muscular! but i cant draw that properly yet), and having her long, flowing and glowing hair is meant to make her look enchanting too.

On the other hand! An extra point about Fuyu, I tried my best to show her casual personality in her look too, with a puffy blue jacket from her girlfriend and the way her hair hangs limp and in her face outside of water is supposed to show a sort of down-to-earth look to her too.

Hahahaha, not sure if I’ve pulled that off though.

I say the most important part of character designs is trying as much as possible to put a character’s personality and history into their design.

I give shy or cool standoffish characters mostly blues and cooler colours to show how not-fiery their personality is. The lighter the colours, like pastels, the more likely the person looks cheerful or happy or innocent (the except for this is when a character uses white and are used for bad guys, probably in an attempt to show off how ‘blank’ their feelings are). Greens are mostly kind, nurturing people, like nature. Pinks and yellows are for more happy carefree people (while writing this I realize Tokyo MewMew is a really good example of using colours to show personality)

Is your character non-confrontational? Draw their body language inwards, have them hunching their shoulders, holding their hands close to their chest and their legs closer together too. Have them avert their eyes a lot from the camera or be just-off from looking at the person.

On the opposite hand, a character with a loud boisterous personality that would confront people a lot, have them look directly at the person they’re looking at if they are, they’d almost be looming over other people. Definitely not hunching. They’d probably use their arms and body language a lot more to talk to people in order to express themselves better. Draw them with their arms more spread out too! Open, maybe even slightly claw-like unless they’re angry or intending to punch someone.

I don’t think I draw confrontational characters a lot actually.

The next thing you need to think of which is really important is their nationality.

Biologically wise and how they were raised too.

Now, I know that people say you need to add more variation in skin colour and nationalities to your OCs, but they’re your OCs. Circumstances may make them all from the same country. For example if you have something based in Japan, obviously more of your characters are going to be Japanese. You might worry this won’t give you variation, but don’t worry! If you do it right then despite them all being japanese- heck, they could all have black hair and black eyes- you could still make them completely different.

I find showing nurture is just as important as showing everything else.

My earlier OCs show a lot less of this. One of them, a character called Dannie (I can’t find her right now) I made in middle school, has a look that is different from their past, from their nurture. Her clothes show her as a tough person, a crop top with a popped collar, an exposed stomach, dirty jeans. Spiky hair done up in a ponytail. Sharp red eyes. All of this shows a somewhat rebellious child in her looks, but her personality isn’t really like that at all. I’ve hopefully improved by then!

One of my favourites of diversity and character design I did are the six main characters from my Haven story. Though they don’t have names yet (and honestly, I’m using colours for their names so often they might as well be), the most important part of them are their personality showing in their looks.

The first one, orange haired, eyes averted, wears a thick coat and a scarf in any weather is me trying to express they’re trying to hide and cover themselves up.

The second one, the white one, uses blues and whites in order to seem colder, with unnaturally yellow eyes to put the casual person off even further. They also have extremely formal wear with layers of clothing that are also rather traditional compared to everyone else. Most of her design is trying to show how anti-social everything about her is.

The third, the yellow guy is sort of portrayed to be a delinquent. In most Japanese culture that I know of, males with dyed blonde hair are seen as delinquents. His sleeveless jacket is also there to show how rebellious he is (honestly, who wears a sleeveless jacket? they’re so impractical). Actually, while I’m on about him being impractical, if you look closer everything he wears is impractical. His roots are showing, he has a turtleneck under under the shirt which is under a jacket. The heck? That’s because when you get to know him he’s actually a really awkward person who just doesn’t know how to express himself so resorts to blustering a lot.

The fourth one is honestly my favourite. Pink, despite being the prettiest, the most popular, and even a cheerleader, is actually the main fighter of the group. Her body language is supposed to show confidence and show off her muscles proudly despite being a female. I used pinks and pastely colours to attempt to show off how cheerful she normally is.

The fifth is supposed to be the opposite of her despite dressing similar. The hair is in a ponytail but it’s cut straighter and more conservative. They’re both wearing jackets but despite that one has their sleeves rolled up while the other has theirs zipped up (and if the hands were showing, they’d have long sleeves too). The darker and more purple colours are supposed to show some sort of maturity but also I was trying for some detachment.

The last one with the grey is honestly the easiest of them all, The hair is messy, their jacket is a mess, they’re wearing goggles, and feathers. Everything about them is designed to be ‘wild’ and practical but still somewhat civilized. They’re also the most confrontational of the bunch!

Ah I totally went on, and I could of gone on longer too if I thought you wanted to hear a whole essay on how much I love my characters. o(*≧□≦)o

"Did god have a say in the creation of the world" is a phrase that doesnt seem that odd when first looking at it, but can really mess someone up.

Like, was he limited to making our world with the constants we currently have? Could god have just said, yea lets round the G to 7*10^-11 and everything would still work out?

This also goes into my personal gripe with lines. Draw a line on a piece of paper, yea? Look closer. It aint a line. Its a gradent. There is no point that it suddenly becomes black from white. There's always white in the black, and vice-versa. There's always gray area.

Science knows this fact. They know that there are always more decimals n stuff, but they just choose to ignore it. Pass it off because its too small to matter in the long run? And yet, decimals can still fuck up am equasion a lot. Using 10m/s compared to 9.8m/s compared to (G*M1*M2)/(d^2) doesnt seem like a lot, but it really is a lot. Highschool physics? Literally throw air resistance out the window for the entire class. The only mention is that its not to be taken into account.

Seconds are the same way. If someone asks you to do something at a particular second, its really hard. Even then, theyres still gray area. Even with the implimentation of frames and button presses in video games, theres still a kind of window where its gray. Where its in between two frames. That area still exists.

Im honestly no "big brained" individual, but honestly humans are literally like if you hit the "randomize all" option on like the mii creator, but with like infinite possibilities. And honestly, to me thats much more beautiful and poetic than being told im made to fit the mold of some perfect being and its standards.

This goes into my own personal "dice roll" think. Tbh, theres probably some big brain theologian or old dude with a beard thinking about this right now, but in a different context, but my idea is as follows.

You can roll a dice yea? Its got like 6 sides on it. Now you'd think that that means when you roll it, there are only 6 possibilities right? And roll it enough times itll land back the same as when you started? Well in my mind, it can technically land on the same number, but it cant land in the same position. Think about it. Just from the directions of the corners, you can tell its wont. But if you look closer, you can tell it will never be the exact same positioning. If you roll a dice, it may land on that number again, but itll never land in the same spot.

This can also be seen in identical twins. Even though they look the same, they still have differnces. Whether it be a nose .00004 mm to the left, or a scar over their eye, or a hatred of spinach, there will be a difference. Even 2,000,000 years down the road, when someone is born with the same name, and the same face, they wont be the same as you. They wont have the same inteactions, or likes n dislikes. Even if they did somehow do not only gene manipulation and simulations on someone to replicate you, they couldnt possibly have the exact cell mutations or gene replication errors that make the little things in you, you.

You are just as unrepeatable as the roll of a dice, or the exact moment a leaf breaks off and falls. Which brings me to my next point.

I have never witnessed a leaf leave its branch. I have literally sat and watched trees and leaves every fall since i realized how mind boggling it is, and i still have yet to see it.

Dont get me wrong, ive seen falling leaves, seeds, and pinecones. I know gravity works and why fall is so great. Bit i have never seen a leaf cross the threshold of letting go of its branch. I know it exists. I know that wind probably effects it, but leaves will fall even without wind. I cant help but wonder at what causes that windless leaf to fall. Is it a cornerstone cell that just finally gives out? Is it some other kind of thing? What could possibly result in a falling leaf?

What is the exact chemical process that results in decay? Suprisingly, thats a question i can anwser. That is simply the improper copying of dna and stuff.

And yet, we still dont know how our brains work. We can look at cells, we can look at atoms, but we cannot possibly understand why laughter is a thing. We dont know anything about sleep, and even less about anaesthetics. Yet we do them regularly, even rely on them.

Humans survive mostly from two things. Sweating, and speaking. And honestly, those are probably the most horrifying things imaginable for prey. Sweating means we have cazy endurance. We can and will hunt anything down until it physically cannot move, and then kill it. And screaming to eachother at the same time. To be hunted by humans is much more scary then literally anything else. That is why horror mostly stars human-esk creatures that hunt humans.

One of humanity's greatest assests is also one of my biggest gripes. That is our obsession with observation and ourselves. We observe the world, and from that are given measurments and tools. We then use that to help ourselves. But we also have to see things. A famous phrase is "seeing is believing". Perfect example of this. We have to touch things. Even if its just with our eyes. But we also for some reason dont want to process things that arent ourselves.

Think about the non-humans that humans create. All those elderic abominations amd the like. Even the green martian men. They all are humaniods in shape. Even demonic, and cursed things have limbs. They have a head, and they have a brain. Anythign that is supposed to be equal to us or greater to us in power is humaniod. God? Humanoid. Satan? Humaniod. Kuthulu? Generally depicted as humaniod. Honestly the only exception to this idea is the angels in the bibel, like the cherubim and seraphim. Which at least one of them is a munch of rings with eyes and also wings.

Anywho, where was i? Oh yea, lines.

Nobody's perfect. Even in a computer world. Pixels are made of lights, which blend together and create gradents which are imperfect. Imputs are rounded. Time is rounded into frames. Fundamentally we are out of sinc with the universe. We round the numbers to the place we care about, putting a blind eye to those things.

Yet dont they add up? I mean in some cases yea, they do. Clocks become slow or fast. Heck even the official weight of a gram has changed. The object that was used to measure a gram actually ended up decaying enough that it messed up the official weight.

Dont even get me started on pi and natural e. Apparently (and i dont know for sure on this) but engineers round those numbers to 3. Like that is just messed up. That will actually, and legitimately fuck up a building or anything else.

Humans are truly odd creatures. Did you know that the current understanding of why we want to closely touch and even harm/kill cute and adorable things and even have the epression "i could eat you up... etc." Is beause we cannot process that emotion and so to relieve ourselves we want to rid the world of its existence? Its freakin wild honestly. We cant process something so we kill it. Itsnt that something just so specifically human?

Humans have such a thirst for knowledge, and yet also a fear of it. Consider comparing people like stalin and hitler and even the church, who burned and banned knoledge, to librarians who kept that knowledge.

Consider the eletric universe theory. Something that goes contrary to the current model of physics, but also works better in some areas. According to that, the sun wasnt always our sun, and also we were originally orbiting a red sun. Something totally wild to think about, but also makes sense. Like why ancient peoples kept talking about a red sun, and venus as a comet. It also states the idea that we didnt always have seasons, and that has something to do with why plants bloom when under red lights. I honestly dont know as much as i would like about this part to explain it better, but oh well.

We have this need to put everything in order, to have perfection. We just want to be the best we can. Specifically better than everyone else. And even if that means killing, harming, or demeaning others. Only if we are on the top, we will be alright.

I know for a fact that some peopld break the mold to certain extents n stuff, i just wanted to streamline it a little bit.

Our obsession with being the best has led us to ome conclusion. However, that conclusion is contradictory to the question asked. To become the best, we have to work with others. Because "if i cant be the best, then nobody can.". And boom, we got society n shit. We start working together to hunt amd gather, and generally be nice people. Because loosing someone means lossing another source of food.

But im getting off the point. This isnt supposed to be a history of humanity. Everyone already knows that story. Humans started planting things, created towns, created cities, fought eachother and died a lot. Eventually enslaved eachother and finally decided that was a bad thing, even thoug not everyone in the world agrees. Now there's god, and politics, and school, and problems.

But what caused all of this? What was the catylist? What was the starting factor? Can the reason people fight today be traced back to the first accidental killing of a brother like cain and able? Or is it somethig totally recent. Is the reason we have society because two ancient homo sapien families merged? Or was it something else? Why do we wear clothes? Theyrs little to no reason except in the winter. Especially if we started in africa or Australia. I have no anwsers for these questions.

But dont let the past decide who you are. Theres a reason we have memories. Its to improve yourself. We are constantly at a crossroads. Even if you dont realize it.

You can physically do anything. Humans are scary crazy. If you just put enough minds to it, literally anything is possible. Sending someone to space? Yep. Being able to kill all life on the planet? Yep. Be able to eat uncooked broccoli? Definitely. There are of course some holes in that last statement. Like you cant physically eat the planet in 30 seconds, or (at least right now) cant change the way you think about cheeze puffs. Doesnt mean that cant change in the future. But at the moment.

The future is scary too. Genetic engeneering, designer babies, and pollution is all on the horizon. The only thing stopping is it ouselves and maybe god.

If you could ask an animal what god it believes in, what would it say? Is such an easy question for theologians to brush aside. (Not that ive asked one) i can just imagine them quickly responding "animals cant think dumbass" or "animals dont have souls" or "animals arent made in the image and likeness of god". Those are nice anwsers and all, but they dont anwser the question. I asked what god does your pet dog believe in, not why doesnt my dog tell be about every time zeus boned some village girl and how that gives them the right to bone me too.
