Like with most Right Wing / Anti-Feminist women, they usually come off the same assembly line. They're an echo chamber for Right Wing male politicians and leaders, they spend more time gassing them up then having any kind of agency, they all kind of look exactly the same, and even in the event where they become a bigger name (write books, have big social media platforms, get their own shows, etc) they're still very much just groupies for Republicans and little else.
So when GirlWritesWhat doesn't fit that mold and had enough standards to be like "Yeah, Trump deserved to lose," it was like Tomi Lahren supporting a woman's right to choose. She went off script. She didn't deepthroat your bootheel for one specific example. You got sick of her. we never heard of either of them ever again.
Love to see it though. lol

I lot of the biggest MRA’s started as Feminists until they saw how toxic it was.
This literally includes Erin Pizzey, who literally created the world’s first women’s shelter (refuge).  Warren Farrell was also a dyed-in-the-wool Feminist until he had the temerity to want ot help men as well.  Cassie Jay was going to make a movie about Rape Culture, until she caught sight of The Red Pill.  She followed it down the rabbit hole, and was explicitly warned by major MRA’s that if she reported on it properly, she would be disowned by the Feminist establishment that had always supported her.
And the manosphere was a blatant attempt to roll MRA’s with PUA, MGTOWs, Incels, Tradcon, and Apostate Feminists.
This was so they could claim that MRA’s were just PUA’s, despite the fact the two factions hated each other until GirlWritesWhat talked it out with Roosh V.  MGTOWs were accused of Misogyny because they changed the definition of Misogyny from Hatred of Women to Distrust of Women.  Therefore MRA’s, who were sympathetic to MGTOWs, were Misogynists by association.  Tradcons disagree with MRA’s on pretty much everything.  The only thing they agree on is hating Feminism, but now Feminists could accuse MRA’s of wanting women to be forced be bare-food and pregnant in the kitchen.
I saw that post again that starts off like “well the reason we’re afraid to bring up issues specific to men is because so many sexist MRAs back in 2016 poisoned the well and made it impossible to take those arguments seriously!”
My question is were there MRAs that were really that bad? Obviously that’s not a reason to just shit on people who want people to take their concerns seriously but that would make it a little more understandable
(Not by much though. “Not being comfortable with people saying ‘kill all men’ means you’re a sexist” isn’t a good line of reasoning no matter what the popular discourse looks like but still)
The thing is that around 2015-16 I think? One second. Yes, around that time there was three entirely separate 'mens' movements going on, as well as the anti-feminists/anti-SJW's.
First, there were the PUA's, who basically said that society was fine, here's how to pick up chicks, and then tell men horrible dating advice.
Second, there were the MGTOWs, who basically were saying society's fucked and men should just stop trying to date. They tended to be a combination of people burned out from bad relationships and also people who'd later become called 'Incels'.
Last were the actual MRA's, who were just working towards equality and dealing with people, but had very much to deal with angry feminists wanting to be absolutely double sure that they never got to speak.
So what happened? Well, some jackass decided to dub the entire group of them as the 'Manosphere' because they were all talking about men's issues to some degree, decided they must have one underlying philosophy (which they very much don't.) and then decided to push for all three groups to be identified as Men's Rights Activists and push for them to be labeled hate groups.
The well was very intentionally poisoned from the start.

You up for a tl;dr rebuttal to that "MRA" nonnoid?
[anon]
In clearness, this rebuttal would be coming from someone who considers themselves at least MRA-affiliated. got no fucking idea what I was going for with "nonnoid"
That won't be necessary. I hope all readers already understand that most of the nasty feminist types have essentially zero understanding of how the typical MRA thinks, which is part of why they represent them all as either incels or PUAs or both at the same time.
The thing the MRAs typically care about is stuff like the Duluth Model, which has been used as policy, which presents domestic violence as "men's violence against women" even though it's usually in both directions more often than that. It's pretty much pure ideology.
I was raised by engineers, so when that kind of crap showed up in force in 2014 in the more general sense, it took me a while to figure out what the fuck was going on.
What nasty internet feminists are doing is the following:
Women are equal to men in every positive way (except strength, but that doesn't count for more than opening pickle jars).
Men are uniquely violent and dangerous.
Therefore, women are better than men.
MRAs mostly negate #2. Trads mostly negate #1.
Certain kinds of women tend to understand men and how they relate to men better than others. It's not ironic that girlwriteswhat, who was popular with MRAs on their subreddit back in... 2014? ...had a short haircut, and had been asked by another woman to help escort her to her car.
The more hardcore trad and PUA types don't pick up on this so much, I think.

Karen Straughan (GirlWritesWhat) has some concerns about the future racial demographics in the West, and what happens if whites become a minority in their own countries.
Transcript past the cut.
My concern, and I hope Sargon will address this, is as follows.
We have a culture in the west where every group is allowed to play identity politics based on innate characteristics, except for the following: straights, cisgenders, males and whites.
We also have a culture in the west where every group but the above is protected by legislation, and where institutional discrimination is legally permissible against the above categories.
We ALSO have a cultural narrative that has been institutionalized in academia, law, politics, news media, social work, education and popular culture that describes the above-named groups as 1) responsible for creating a system that oppresses all other groups; 2) complicit in this oppression not by participation in the system, but by virtue of simply being who they are and therefore benefiting unjustly from said system; 3) uniquely monstrous in historical terms (colonialism, exploitation, slavery, etc); 4) enjoying "unearned privilege" over other groups; 5) uniquely capable of inflicting harm, even when harm is not intended; and 6) in control of everything.
More than this, group slander against these groups, and even incitement to violence against them ("all men are pigs", "men are scum", "violence has a male face", #KillAllWhiteMen, #All I want for Christmas is White Genocide, etc) is seen as socially and legally permissible. The public discourse actively stirs up animosity and resentment against these particular groups, and promotes narratives that these groups are victimizers and that fear of them based on their biological characteristics alone is justified (m&ms anyone? How about white on black racism and police shootings?).
The demonization narrative and the legal dehumanizing slander are cultural conditions that precede actual genocides. It doesn't matter if any of it is true. All that matters is that enough people believe it's true and that it is considered legally and socially acceptable to demonize and dehumanize the target group.
I doubt straights, cisgenders and males (as a distinct, homogenous category) are in danger here. Straights and cisgenders will never be a minority. The vast majority of males in a normal society will always have women in their lives who cannot be convinced to lump their own husbands, brothers, fathers, sons, etc, into a group slated for extermination. You just won't be able to convince the average woman to hate ALL men enough to put her OWN men in an oven.
But whites? None of the above applies to whites. What happens if whites become a minority in their own societies if the demonization narrative and the legalized dehumanizing slander of whites is still seen as socially permissible? If the culture of racial resentment against whites and the narrative of whites being responsible for all the evils of history is still legally permissible? What if this false history that whites are uniquely monstrous and that all other groups are their victims is still taught in schools? What if it is still taught that no matter what a white person does, they can't avoid victimizing other groups because even if they don't participate in the system of white privilege and whites' oppression of everyone else, they still benefit from it and there's nothing they can do to avoid benefiting from it?
The institutionalized narratives paint whites into a corner they can't escape. Even innocence is no defence for the individual, because they are culpable simply by existing within a system of "white supremacy" that benefits them whether they want to benefit or not.
Anti-white sentiment is socially and legally allowed. Inciting hatred, resentment and even violence against whites is also allowed in ways it is forbidden against minorities.
And then we have Standpoint Theory and Epistemic Privilege. Under this set of theories (taught in all the places you'd expect) the oppressed have the status of "people who should be listened to". The theory describes all relationships as "master/slave", and the slave has epistemic privilege. They are presumed to understand their own and their master's experiences, motivations, intentions, thoughts and beliefs better than their master understands either.
The problem is that the people who subscribe to these theories have assigned master and slave status based on something that can't be changed (skin color, gender, etc), when in reality power DOES change hands. What is to stop those who have been assigned epistemic privilege today from defending their epistemic privilege even when they find themselves in the position of master rather than slave?
"I'm oppressed. How do I know? Well, I'm black, therefore oppressed, therefore I have epistemic privilege. This gives me a unique insight into how things work, and using my unique insight that my status as an oppressed person gives me, I can guarantee you I'm still oppressed. Well, of course you don't believe me. You're white. You're only saying that because you want to hold onto your privilege. I know this, because my epistemic privilege puts me in a position to understand your motivations better than you do. And believe me, if I were no longer oppressed, I'd let you know. But I can assure you I am still oppressed and you are still privileged (and privilege is invisible to the person who has it, mind you), and you have to believe me because I have epistemic privilege."
Don't get me wrong, Carl. I couldn't care less about keeping the "white race" pure. But I've been thinking about all these things, and I'm seriously concerned about what is going to happen if whites ever do find themselves to be a minority in their own countries. If someone wanted to actually orchestrate a genocide, they couldn't do much better than promoting these narratives of collective white original sin, making white-bashing and overt resentment and animosity toward whites socially acceptable (even admirable) and then arranging for whites to be displaced in their own countries by other races.
If I wanted an actual white genocide to happen, it's what I'd do.ï»ż

What's funny is when feminists actually take the time to see what the world is like for men. I need to find the link to that news documentary where a woman did proper drag to see what dating was like, as a man, and what the rest of life was like for men, and started suffering from depression almost immediately.
Or, look at the documentary by a famous feminist film maker, about the men's rights movement, called the red pill.
And see how the feminist movement treated her.
Or people like the YouTubers girlwriteswhat, or shoeonhead.
See how those women are treated by the feminist movement.
Tumblr media
it’s true.
and what’s dangerous about it is men don’t KNOW that they hate women. it’s so deeply ingrained that they don’t see anything wrong with it. idk if you saw the thing i reblogged a little while ago but it’s a p good example of it so i’ll summarize
they did this study where they asked women what they would do if they woke up in the morning and had turned into “men” (i.e., in the language of the study, cis men). a lot of the women expressed mild disappointment but most listed things like “i would become a baseball player, i would become a politician,” etc., after a little while thinking about it.
when they asked men what they would do if they woke up in the morning to find that they had transformed into women, one of the most common answers was “i would kill myself.”
think about that for a second.
if you asked any of the men who participated in that study “do you hate women?” i seriously doubt a single one of them would answer yes.
but if you have such an aversion to the concept of womanhood or femininity that you would literally rather DIE than live as we do, what would you call that other than hatred?
and what’s funny is that what most dudes will hold up as proof that they don’t hate us is the fact that they want to fuck us when it is there that their hatred of us is often the most apparent
men hate women and it’s a million times more dangerous and disturbing bc their hatred has been normalized to the point where they can’t even see it.
rebloggable by request, and here’s the source for the study i mentioned

While I agree that following your husband around screaming at him is abusive and that provoking someone into snapping can also be an abuse tactic, I am given... extreme pause at girlwriteswhat's apparent notion that beating the instigator within an inch of her life is just giving her what she asked for. Emotional abuse doesn't justify physical abuse.
I was not saying it did.
