I really wonder if people are going to think I'm obsessed with turtles - I showed an earlier progress picture to another teacher at school and he joked that there was a theme with me since I made our class charter look like a turtle and had the whole class make origami turtles on the first days

Queens Guide
Wow, it’s been a long time. I’ve always loved writing but I’m so busy with uni and guiding commitments and volunteering and adventuring that sometimes it all just gets pushed to one side in favour of all the other things going on! But I want a record of what I’ve been doing. I want to remember what I’ve done and how it felt and most of all I want to encourage others to get out there and have some…

“On a cold night Glasgow night, a group of Girl Guides have gathered in a church hall for an evening of fun, friendship … and politics. They are getting started on the new ‘Citizen Girl’ activity pack, which has been launched in conjunction with Women 50:50 - the campaign for 50 per cent representation of women in parliament, council and public bodies. The Citizen Girl movement was created to celebrate the Year of Young People and aims to empower girls to discover why their voices matter and how they can create change.
In recent years, Girlguiding Scotland have been at the heart of prominent campaigns that have attracted the attention of politicians and the public - such as the call to end period poverty. Scotland boasts some formidable campaigning forces, who’s efforts undoubtedly contribute to the ‘progressive’ social justice credentials that the nation boasts. Girlguiding Scotland is represented on the newly-formed First Minister’s Advisory Panel on Women and Girls, and also in the Scottish Youth Parliament.”

Girlguiding is joined Children in Need this year with the #ActYourAge challenge where you do something the number of years old you are.
So I've challenged myself to crochet 22 wee turtles - because why not? It's not like I have loads of other stuff to do right now 😂
I've completed the first three and made the shell for my Pudsey-themed turtle (because I naturally have to make a Pudsey turtle, it's for Children in Need!)

Yellow!!
Yellow: 7 facts about my childhood (I typed this all up and my computer deleted it!!)
Okay, so I used to be crazy busy as a child, like literally I didn’t have a day where I didn’t do something. Monday was piano, kickboxing and drama, Tuesday was ballet, jazz, tap and contemporary, Wednesday was swimming and life-saving lessons, Thursday was violin and orchestra, Friday was whatever section of GirlGuiding UK I was in, Saturday was gymnastics and orchestra, and Sunday was church, organ, violin and youth fellowship.
Despite having all of this to do ^^ I still somehow managed to write a ridiculous amount of short stories and novel like things
There was a big expanse of fields up near my house that me and my pals used to call the ‘muddies’ and we used to build gang huts on them!
Behind the muddies were the farmer’s fields and we used to play in among them, and once I got shot with a paintball by the farmer cause we weren’t meant to be in there 😂
I was ridiculously accident prone, so much so that the staff in Accident and Emergency used to know me by name cause I was always there having broken something or whatever... 😂
I was an absolute bookworm, I got permission to get let into the adult library when I was just ten and my guardian had to approve whatever book I wanted to take out! I used to get called Matilda!
I once came first in Scotland for poetry reciting, singing and playing Scottish instrumental music all in the same day! (It was a very, very busy day!)
