that whole rant w/ him being pissed abt castiel not doing what he does in every other universe is so out of character. like? u cannot convince me that the boyfriend-having, cat-loving little guy they introduced to us in season eleven would be anything but gracious abt cas’ feelings. granted, it’d be in the awkward fatherly way where maybe they don’t completely understand but they’re trying, y’know? imagine how proud he’d be that one of his most obedient and unthinking creations (angels) after all this time and all these universes finally managed to break the barrier, to have true free will.

making god this attainable character w/ flaws and feelings and personality like everyone else was groundbreaking. then, they reverted to the ‘my way or the highway’ god that already exists irl. the one that makes our parents hate us or gives us the good ol’ catholic guilt. all because god being the final villain is just so cool, huh?
