The real horror of Alina's Mal-shifting dream starring the Darkling, is actually the Malyen-part.

This makes me physically sick.

Alina values herself so little a possibility of a shred of his attention is worth constant fighting, cheating, humiliation and being left to her own devices whenever an obstacle appears.

The end of the second book, and Alina's world stands and falls with conditional attention of one (1) shitty guy.

Not to mention what she doubts here, is her worthiness. Her own value.

Isn't it sad? Alina isn't only focused on a single goal- getting Malyen "back". She has to persuade herself it's what she wants.

She is the one taking action as usual.

She ~needs~ to see his face... because she knows it's not there?

Alina's upset, but she's hardly as disgusted with Malyen for HIS ACTIONS than with herself for a fucking dream of being WANTED.

17.09.24- Let’s be honest 😔

I hate being negative, but it’s time for a little vulnerability and owning my feelings.

Many of you will have seen my posts about looking for our dream home. 🏡

So far, it’s been so so so competitive and difficult to find a house within budget. I’m truly grateful for our current flat, but we’re definitely at a point where we need more space to grow. I’d love to find somewhere to call home for a good chunk of time. 🧡

We put forward our interest in a recent property we viewed. Honestly it ticked ALL the boxes…absolutely stunning. Great amount of bedrooms, amazing garden, ideal location…you name it, it had it. 🤩 Great potential!

I’ve been on edge all day waiting for confirmation on next steps, but it seems like they’ve already chosen their new tenants. 😭 This will be confirmed 100% tomorrow but it’s not looking hopeful.

I know there’s bigger problems in the world, but I just feel so deflated and heartbroken. 💔 It never seems to be the right place or time. Sometimes it feels really difficult to keep trying. 😔 Super in my feelings tonight

Why does Alina simply assume NOTHING Nikolai does might be genuine?!

This one's for the "If only he were honest with her..." crowd, claiming it's all Aleksander's fault she ran away from him. She treats Nikolai in similar way- and he "only" kept his true identity secret, when helping her escape from the Darkling- the man, who knew him, and wouldn't let him anywhere near the Sun Summoner.

One of Alina's patterns seems to be dehumanizing people, who "sin" against morals instilled in her . Be it the Darkling with probably every aspect of his existence, Nikolai thanks to concealing his identity or herself with "greed" for the amplifiers. Once you're tainted, you no longer deserve her trust, every action is suspicious and deceitful. As a side effect the person concern loses human traits like feelings and emotions.

my s/i for h.aar is a fellow wyvern rider and soldier, has a pet wyvern named olive that she loves dearly. for many many years, ash has been tying red ribbons into bows on olive's horns so that, even when they're in battle, olive can look super cute!

however, as ash and h.aar grow closer, so do their wyverns! eventually h.aar's wyvern (who I call damien) starts nudging and softly growling at ash because he wants ribbons too!!! he wants to match with olive!!!
