Just food for thought, in lots of jb smut we see her saying “you did so good for me” and “good girl” right?so I’ve been wondering how she would be dealing with a brat.
Like she could be a condescending dom? or mean but not in a rough way; more of a “i’ll tease you and let you brat out for days until you use your words.” Maybe she’s more keen on using overstim as a punishment than denial? thoughts, wonders….
omg i was thinking about this the other day!!! (was re reading some of my fics and making some small edits)
let’s discuss! RPF smut, minors GFTO<3
truthfully, i cannot see jb as a mean dom
like no denial, no degradation, she’s not gonna make you cry (bc she’s being mean, you will cry from overstim, hc)
i think you’re right on the money sweet anon, say that you’re being bratty or like maybe just needing extra affection and you can’t articulate it, she puts out all the stops. she will be super sweet and teasing and let you throw your little fit and then she will hit a breaking point
i imagine it’s pre-travel or something, maybe yall have just been super busy and youre annoyed bc its almost like jb is your roommate? like that’s the vibe yall are just so busy that you keep missing each other
so you’re huffing and puffing and jb KNOWS, she knows, but she lets you have your little hissy fit and be all annoyed (bc she thinks you’re soooo cute when you are)
and then like 2 days before her trip or like the big house project is almost done, you joke about taking care of yourself bc jb won’t and suddenly the switch flips
“oh you think you could make yourself cum?” jb snickers, her eyes soft but smile cocky
“yeah, since you can’t,” you’d respond and jay’s eyes instantly darken
if you’re being a brat, jb LOVES hitting it from the back, like bending you over and holding your hair and hips is her fave ever. there’s something about your vulnerability in that position that drives her nuts
big fan of condescension. talks down at you but not to you? you know what i mean? like years streaming down your face, your body wriggling around because jb’s got you flat on your back, legs on her shoulders, she has the vibe right on your clit on the highest setting just be like “oh you poor thing,” while pouting down at you, her eyes all dark and devious
i think she also loves edging lol
like BIG fan of edging. she gives me the vibe that she would be absolutely pounding into to you from the back and the second your legs start to shake she pulls out, rubbing your butt softly as you whine
“hm, maybe you shouldn’t have been so bratty huh? maybe then i would let you cum— but you’re *so* impatient,” she would tsk at you AHHHH
anyways, fic on this?

I never tried the option myself bc it'd probably mean skipping the Reason You Suck speech at the end (fire for speedrunners though) but I Love that you can frame your Phoneys in 3, especially so if you've already killed the previous two. Super stoked for the Roger DLC and WILL be playing it on release, but something that’s been bugging me ever since the first few teasers was Peter, his personality feels quite different to me and my Peter obsessed friend, is there a reason for his personality change or was it completely unintentional?
He feels a lot more hot headed now, not completely the same as but similar to Steven, which feels like a complete 180 for Peter, I always remember enjoying him more in DSaF 2 because he was the more relaxed Phoney who when he had geniunely serious moments, it was incredibly impactful and gut wrenching when Peter would yell at me. 😔
Also, will Steven ever be real in dialtown please sir I miss my wif-
The comparison just always bothered me slightly.
Different universes. I should note that while Peter IS chiller in DSaF 2, if the restaurant goes under, the main consequence is that the company will get mortally wounded and he might die. The other employees will (for the most part) be fine. Peter cares. He cares if you hurt employees, he cares if you fuck up but is also willing to look the other way a few times if the fuckup isn't bad enough (without letting it slide, because he still cares what you do at work too.) I'd say his attitude at work namely stems from that, rather than the other way around. Steven does NOT care. He is literally willing to throw you under the bus to save himself and his sole goal is keeping the place open specifically so he can save his own hide, and his hot-headedness comes from that.
In DT, Peter is at the end of his rope and has had to deal with a LOT up until this point, arguably even more than his DSaF counterpart in terms of his day to day job, as shocking as that may sound. There's also WAY more on the line this time. He isn't the one that's going to face the worst of what'll happen if things continue at their current trajectory (unlike Peter or Steven in their original games.) He explains this pretty early into the DLC, which may explain why he's testier than you remember him, namely what's on the line. He's trying his damndest to fix it but is failing. He's stuck between a rock and a hard place with Roger, recognizing his bad leadership is sinking the plant but caring too much about the guy to effectively deal with it until this point.
His guard is up because it has to be, but he does have a few nice moments where it's clear how much he cares and if you listen to Roger's dialogue carefully, you'll see just how much Peter has put up with that would've made any sane person walk away. He's also noticeably nicer to Gingi if you don't waste his time and seem to actually care about Roger, and he acts closer to how he does in the DSaF 2 screenshot you showed off, though perhaps with slightly less energy (since he is, like I said, at the end of his rope.) There's even a scene in the evil route where you can identify this and use it against him in a pretty sinister way.
To mention another thing that even Gingi sees as far back as his original scene in DT: He's a natural manager who's playing second-fiddle to someone who clearly doesn't know what he's doing.
I didn't just wanna do more of the same, so I played with the dynamics a lil. Peter is in a very different role here, one that he's not exactly suited to. He's out of his element. He's inundated with work and in this scene, is thinking about the lives of the employees who are going to be laid-off in a week or so time if things don't change FAST, and while this is happening, his boss is bantering with a weird cryptid on the street and talking about random garbage.
There are times in DSaF 2, like you said, where you do see him get like this. It's not as much that his character is different in my eyes, but that the context is. This is a version of Peter who is one bad day away from having to make a difficult decision. Literally. I'll gladly talk more about it when the DLC's out (namely I could compare + contrast certain decisions he makes!) For now, I don't wanna spoil anything that isn't explicitly stated in the first major scene he has.

Ya got any dialtown headcanons? :3
hooo boy. ive been chewing on this all day and I think i have a decent amount to say!
Spoilers for Dialtown!
Tw for mentions of suicidal ideation and religious guilt
Phone/Typegingi:
-Is aware of everything that happens in my fics but forgets
-is more aware of how people perceive them than people give them credit for, wants to make everyone happy
-has a strong fear of being alone, which is why they bother people so relentlessly. if they were to be fully ignored for an extended period of time they would have a breakdown
-Has both the phone and the typewriter head and can change them out at will, dont ask where they keep them.
-has bitten theoroar many, many times and will do so again. is even more fearful and hateful of him after the zoo explosion
-has a lot of love to give and genuinely prefers being around their friends
-has a level of intelligence that is genuinely sort of surprising sometimes. this intelligence is used at random
-is surprisingly easy and hard to kill at the same time
-the narrator is actually a separate entity to them who cares about them very much
-seems to be passively suicidal but no one can tell if theyre joking or not
-roger rabbit rules, whatever biology is funniest is what they have
-perceived height changes based off of this rule as well. no one notices.
-breaks into town hall once a month for funsies
-enjoys sweet things quite a bit
-autistic beast
Randy:
-is actually a decent cartoonist, but rarely draws due to hand pain. likes drawing gingi and oliver the most
-has a lot of religious guilt due to growing up catholic with a very very strict, religious father, left home as soon as he could. also why he is afraid to talk to God.(hobo)
-father harped on him his entire childhood about being a burden, now feels that he owes the world for existing. this is slowly healing.
-due to his upbringing hes still learning how to function as an adult, i.e cleaning, cooking for himself, things like that. hes working on it!
-has sensory issues, has ASD
-fear of cgi animals comes from having to watch weird religious propaganda films for kids when he was young. he is getting over it thanks to oliver.
-extremely observant and notices things a lot of people don't, but usually doesnt say anything for fear of being annoying
-knows shooty and stabby on a first name basis(not that he knows whos who)
-sees Norm as a father figure but would never admit that
-has a long list of phobias that hes working on recovering from, but is too nervous to go to therapy for
-has a LOT of plushies in the ticket booth that Oliver and Gingi have given him, refuses to get rid of any of them
-taking the bandage off wont instantly kill him, he doesn't know this.
-can skateboard, does not do this often
-gets sick very easily, has to be forced to rest as he tries to insist hes not sick
-is roommates with Oliver, they have a bunk bed
-got his number changed so the hotline wasnt tied to him anymore
-is actually a good singer, never sings due to thinking he sucks. Will hum to himself while working at the ticket booth
Karen;
-Has actually gotten fairly close to the other datables since the conclusion of the game, doesnt know how to express this
-Visits Dialtown for a few months out of the year to catch up and spend time with her friends
-part of her contract with helping rebuild was better wages for those who worked at the bank. It took a lot of arguing but she felt that no one should suffer like she did.
-expresses her love for her friends by making them ponysonas. Is a huge pegasister. will infodump about it for hours to anyone who will listen
-enjoys botanical illustrations the best, next to drawing horses
-draws horses with normal horse heads as a form of abstraction
-puts capsaicin oil in her paints so Gingi will stop drinking them. This did not work.
-enjoys vintage movies and game shows and talks at length with Oliver about them when they go out for coffee or dinner together.
-she and randy doodle together sometimes
-also has severe sensory issues and has safe outfits she wears. will cry if she has to touch certain fabrics. (LOOKING AT YOU CRUSHED VELVET)
-safe foods are microwave dinners and pasta, but she keeps her diet balanced.
-her and Norm get along now and will sometimes go for hikes and chat about life(and ways to wrangle gingi)
-allergic to shrimps
-can play piano
Oliver:
-Got a new therapist who doesnt think hes weird or annoying(it didnt phase him but thats not groovy to say to someone)

-Has had top and bottom surgery and is comfortable where his transition is, thankfully his insurance under Mr. Dickens covered it! (Mingus isnt a TOTAL monster)
-has a digital scrap book of all his favorite memories with his friends
-makes rage comics unironically.
-favorite color is actually black, red just seems to be his thing!
-has been legally adopted by Mr. Dickens but decided to keep his last name as Swift because "it was rad."
-is actually friends with most of the ghosts and poltergeists that live in the cinema/scareshack
-kept the popcorn and soda dispensers, but got the soda dispensers to dispense SODA and not...whatever the fuck it was doing before.
-helped renovate the basement of the cinema into a haunted maze that he helped design, the theme changes once a year!
-got those unicycle lessons and knows how to juggle as well!
-likes rollerskating, has Heelys on all the time

-Is actually good friends with God and the two go out to lunch once or twice a month
-enjoys fishing and will take Randy and Oliver on fishing trips, Gingi usually follows regardless of invite.
-Sees himself as a father figure to most of the dateables, and is willing to fill in that role.
-apologized to Karen for his behavior by baking her fresh bread. is actually an extremely good cook
-irises and pupils are both void black due to exposure to the wormhole. He has not noticed this. Eyes used to be honey brown.
-Has to stop Mingus from doing a new evil scheme once a month, has a spray bottle for this purpose.
-does actually have other outfits for when the space suit needs to be washed, is never seen outside the house when this happens
-Oliver, Karen, and Randy have seen his real face, they were like "cool" as Gingi is just...far weirder.
-i imagine him as strawberry blonde. Short hair, either buzz cut or just short. maybe some stubble. I dont have a good image of what his face looks like, it is just bag to me
-not great at public speaking but REALLY good at pretending to be
-is actually very good at using technology but will sometimes pretend not to be just to tease Oliver.(it works every time)
-can also play guitar
Bigfoot:
-...no.
-okay okay i have one. You could use his fur to make yarn IF you washed it. You will never be able to get close enough to brush him though.
Misc headcanons:
-heads can be repurposed after death, like cadaver bones!
-the more popular headtype for modern business men and women is a laptop
-after what happened to Callum Crown, the answering machines function was completely separated from memory storage
-Snakes have syringes for heads
-peter and his wife are poly and want roger to be their third, but roger is as dense as a brick and peters too formal to just say it out loud.
-Harry and Jack are a couple in this universe, Jack is just a very odd boss to work for regardless
-Billy is Abel's kid. The mother is unknown. probably a one night stand.
-the swans miss randy :(
-there are a few headtypes that are banned for various reasons, one of which is having a megaphone AS your head.
-Roger is autistic and has a stutter, and sometimes has to use ASL to communicate. Peter knows ASL for this reason
-The Narrator could talk to the others, but only if it was an emergency
-all Dialtown OCs are canon. theyre in town somewhere, having fun and living their lives!
-Dialtown is bigger than shown in game, including the town square which has a fountain and a park surrounding it, as well as a skate park, rec center, arcade, a pizza place, etc.
-all the dateables have met satan at least once, they just didnt know thats who that was
-shooty and stabby are dating, theyre just very bromance about it. good for them...
-rotery phone heads are coming back in fashion as a sort of 'retro' vibe.
-getting prosthetics/emergency plastic surgery and medical care is actually quite accessible.
-jerry and his wife come visit dialtown every christmas soley so that gingi doesnt run all the way out there to visit them and get hopelessly lost. theyre doing quite well!
-there are competent members of the dialtown mob but they dont really do much other than hang out at the bar
if i think of anymore Ill let you know!! thanks for askin!

Harrysport Headcanons: Dialtown Edition
Some headcanons brewing in my mind
Harry owns 1% of "bear" .
By chapter 1 of Dialtown they're already dating for at least a couple months.
the reason why Harry speaks a little bit badly of Jack is so no one will think to try and talk to him because their relationship is not exactly public and he's afraid of being rejected by him someday.
To add onto the last one that's why Harry is so quick to dismiss Gingi when asking if he's single. In order to change the topic as quickly as possible.
Harry and Jack went on a double date with Abel and Bunny because Harry and Abel know each other. It went. yeah. bad.
Harry is trying to find an engagement ring on the day you find him. Which is why he's trying to leave so quickly. He wanted to get something on Valentine's day but Jack was too busy and Harry in a way too.
Jake and Roger are very MUCH aware of their relationship.
They make out in the "bear" backrooms. That's it for now. thank you!

I realized I've never actually explained what Hell and You is! So I figured I'd make a post describin it in hopes that more people would be interested in it! So here's a full post describin what it is, the story, characters, all without spoilin too much!
"What is it?"
Hell and You (my Dialtown/Dietown AU), is a story that takes place in Dietown. It focuses on Sgt. Norm Allen (canon character) and Tobias Moore (my character). It's not exactly a story simply shippin them together. In fact, its not about shippin them together at all. It's about abusive relationships and serves as a warnin to people who may be in one. It can also serve as representation for those who are in/had been in an abusive relationship. It's for yall. I see ya, don't worry.
"Why should I read it?"
Honestly, if you like fanfics with canon characters and fanon characters, you'd like this. It takes place in the Dietown version of Dialtown, except God is actually dead this time. All hell broke loose (literally), and now everyone is panickin cuz they're all in hell. After all, there's no heaven to go to if God is dead. Who killed him? Nobody knows.
Either way, bein saved is no longer an option, and it's either kill or be killed. Which, you CAN be killed even in hell. Nobody knows what happens to your soul if you're killed in hell, but nobody wants to find out. (Fun fact! It doesn't go to heaven like that stupid Hazbin show.) Oh, and if you have a Dialtown character, they're canon in this! If you want them to be anyway. I figured it's only fair since Tobias ain't a Canon character, but he's in this anyway.
"What happens in hell?"
Well, I already talked about the symbolism, what it's about, and why they're in hell, but I haven't explained this. See, hell works on a punishment system. Punishin you for your sins. In hopes of repentance and salvation? To see the light? No. There's no light to see anymore. No salvation to seek. It's simply sufferin.
Each character is bein punished for their sins in their own individual way. Tobias' punishment is the most obvious seein as the story mainly focuses on him. He's bein punished for his sins by not bein allowed to die. It's shown very early in the story that he can not die. He "dies" and when he reopens his eyes, the wound that ended him is healed, and he's forced to live with it. How is that a punishment, you ask? Immortality in of itself is a punishment. He wants nothin more than to finally die and end his sufferin. But is forced to endure regardless. No matter how many times he tries to kill himself or is killed by someone else.
Every other character is forced to go through their own constant punishment, just like him. But they're all unique to the characters themselves.
"Do the sins have anythin to do with the story?"
Each main character is supposed to represent a sin. They aren't supposed to be bound by just one sin, as they all have their own personalities and aren't flat characters. They can be influenced by other sins. But it's usually one main sin that drives each of them. Below, I'll explain each character and the sin they're driven by to help you get a better understandin.
Pride: Karen Dunn. Demon.
Once all hell broke loose and God died, Karen lost it. Finally free after bein driven mad by her job, she took out her anger on everyone who ever wronged her. Which would put her in the wrath category (she is also put in the wrath category, yes), but the thing is, she takes pride in what she's done. Immense pride. She sees it as justice. Like a self-proclaimed angel sent to punish the demons that roam Dialtown. And in doin so, she gains followers. People devoted to her in hopes she can save them. Which only fuels her pride.
Greed: Gingi. Demon. & Mayor Mingus. Survivor.
As I'll say in the gluttony category, Gingi is driven by a constant need to add more parts to their head. To make themselves the most powerful demon in hell. I'll go into more detail in the other category. But as for Mingus, ever since Gingi killed her grandfather, she's been driven by a greed to compensate for her loss. Reinstatin her authority and power by tryna rule over Dialtown again. She's driven mad by the loss of her grandfather, and tries to hunt Gingi down. But it serves to be difficult tryin to wrangle the citizens all the while tryna find Gingi. She NEEDS to be in control.
Lust: Tobias Moore. Survivor.
Now, I know lust is often portrayed as sexual or romantic, but that is far from why Tobias represents lust. Lust is desire. A need to get or do somethin, and Tobias is frequently shown with a clear desire to escape Norm's grasp. He tries everythin possible to get away, no matter if it hurts him in the process. He's constantly driven by an immense lust to escape his punishment and pain.
Envy: Randy Jade. Demon.
Randy, while often envious of how good everyone else had it in life before hell, only became even worse when God died. At first he tried to be a Survivor. Shuttin himself away in the dumpster where nobody would bother him. But after a while, he drove himself mad in isolation. Constantly wonderin why he was punished before, and in hell currently. It just wasn't fair. So, he found a hammer, and went apeshit. Much like Karen, he hunted down anyone who ever wronged him. Except he didn't take pride in it. He just found it fun. Gettin sick enjoyment in watchin their heads cave in at his hands. Also bein driven by wrath. But mainly envy.
Gluttony: Gingi. Demon.
I mean, cmon. In the last short snippet I wrote, they literally EAT Callum. Or at least, the insides of his phone head. I know Gluttony isn't just eatin excessively, but for Gingi, that's kinda the motif. When Gingi was in their egg, there were actually two. TypeGingi and PhoneGingi. At first, anyway. But PhoneGingi ate/absorbed TypeGingi in the egg. They've been driven by Gluttony since before they hatched. They're driven for more and more. Trying to find more parts to add to their amalgamation of a head. Already combined with parts of Callum's head, they're seekin out more and more.
Wrath: Sgt. Norm Allen. Survivor.
He's seen takin his anger and frustrations out on Tobias constantly throughout the story. Not because he takes enjoyment out of it, but because he doesn't know how to regulate his emotions. He's mainly driven by wrath because he feels like he's lost control of his life and fights anyone to take it back. Often exertin his control over people through force and violence. Karen Dunn also fits in this category as she takes her anger out on people who have wronged her. But as stated earlier, she's mainly driven by pride. Randy falls into this category as well.
Sloth: Oliver Swift. Survivor.
Now, you might think he'd be driven by somethin like lust or whatever, but I don't think so. In HaY, he's actually surprisingly chill about bein in hell. He thinks it's kinda cool and not as intense as he was told by religious fanatics. But that's only because he's (kinda) locked himself away in the cinema with Mr. Dickens. He hasn't seen the gore and destruction outside. But Mr. Dickens has. And he insists that Oliver stay inside and never look outside. So Oliver lives in ignorant bliss. Not worried about much else aside from re-watchin the movies in the cinema and livin with Mr. Dickens.
"What defines a Demon and a Survivor?"
Simple. Their willingness to hurt other people for their own selfishness. As you'll see in Karen, Gingi, Randy, etc, they're all driven to kill others because they've either been wronged before, or for pure enjoyment. Not because they feel like they need to for other people's safety or to defend themselves. Unlike the Survivors. Who only kill to defend themselves or other people.
Which, the line between Demon and Survivor kinda blurs in some characters. It all depends on if they keep their sanity. A good example of characters developin from Survivors into Demons is Norm. As he first only hurt Tobias and other people because he thought they were a threat and tried to defend himself. But after a while, he started seein Tobias as a punchin bag. Somethin to take his anger out on. But I won't spoil too much. Shhhh....
With all that bein said, feel free to ask questions, make headcannons, insert your characters into HaY, or whatever you want! The story is still in development, and I still need to draw references for each of the main characters, but I'm gonna work on that very soon! Thank you for readin this far, and I hope yall enjoy!
#dusty yaps#dialtown#dialtown hell and you#long post#sorry lol#please read if you have the time!!#i put a lot of thought into this

norm for the character opinion ask meme? :>
Sexuality Headcanon: I think Norm is technically bisexual. I say technically bc i one: do think he’s mostly into women and two: don’t think he’s really the type to use labels. Just not something that appeals to him personally.
Gender Headcanon: Uncomplicated cis guy. Or at the very least if there’s anything else going on there I don’t think that’s a journey he’s going on anytime soon.
A ship I have with said character: NORMGINGI FOR SURE easily one of my top dialtown ships. I will say I think they’re “dating” per say. I think they have an emotional bond that sort of transcends that? out of all of the datebles Norm and Gingi have the most emotionally intense relationship but also the one that’s least well defined. Also because I think Gingi calling Norm their “boyfriend” would make him die of embarrassment. he’s too old for all of that he had a wife and kids damnit .
A BROTP I have with said character: I think his interactions with Randy are super cute, especially in the dtf segments. His relatively likeable sea urchin with the heart of a champion<3 I really like Mich’s headcanon about Norm building a house near the woodsy outskirts of the funfair and Randy occasional leaving her post to go bother him. I’m so sorry Mr. Allen sir I had the chimp dream again and I don’t think I can be alone right now knowing there are around 2,000 known chimps in the US.
A NOTP I have with said character: I don’t really care for when people ship him with Mr. Dickens but it’s not something I have any kind of active distaste for either. To me it just feels like one of those ships that exists to fill a quota? like back when a lot of people thought norm was super old for some reasons but still wanted to yaoi him with someone they had to go with the old man™️. I could definitely be misinterpreting things though. I’m sure someone could do something interesting with it (i know dogman has mentioned wanting to write a short thing about a hypothetical dynamic between the two of them, which i unironically think would be super interesting to read) I do think the two of them could have a lot to talk about— i just haven’t seen anything shipping wise that’s caught my eye just yet. maybe some day.
A random headcanon: less a random headcanon that spawned from the ether and more of an observation but i love that he lies about not believing in evolution. Makes perfect sense to do that in the 1960s i’m sure but now it makes him look genuinely fucking insane. Oh Norm you make me giggle
General Opinion over said character: I love him sooo muches you don’t understand it’s kinda of embarrassing. I see him and immediately transform into a teenage girl in a movie writing her crushes name a million times in her diary and encircling it all in hearts. Dialtown Chapter 3 and Norm by extension are super important to me I get really sentimental thinking about it. Visual Novels are good you guys.

how'd you meet norm?
Howdy, hey, Dusty here! Sorry, this blog has been kinda dead. I actually forgot it existed... anyway, heres the fella! Sorry in advance. This is gonna be a long post. So get ready for some readin -𐂂
Tobias appeared to perk up a bit at the question. He looked almost excited that someone had asked about his husband. Taking a breath, he started rambling as he leaned against the front desk. Unaware of how much he was talking. That man could talk quite a bit if you get him going on the right subject. And well, you sure chose the right one.
"Oh, I'm glad you asked! It's kind of a funny story. Ahem, so it was a normal day, just like any other. I was working at the library, shelving the returns, when I heard the bell above the door ring. I initially thought nothing of it. Just another person stopping by to check out a book or use the computers or the printer. Whatever, right? But then I hear Gingi scamper in. Which, they were on a temporary ban from the library for destroying a book when they got frustrated that they couldn't read it. Said something about hieroglyphics even though it was a... children's book... Either way, they shouldn't have been here. But, moving on..."
"I heard Gingi talking with someone, and then I heard these really heavy, LOUD footsteps following it. I peeked out behind the shelf I was at and saw the green one. And a man standing beside them. I never saw him around here before. It intrigued me. I had to know who this stranger was and why he was at my library. I approached, and Gingi basically leaped at me, but the stranger grabbed them and stopped them before they could actually touch me. He apologized for its behavior. Which... Gosh, hearing his voice for the first time sent some sort of butterflies fluttering in my chest... Sorry, moving on."
"When I asked why Gingi was here when they weren't supposed to be, they explained that they were showing their new friend around. Well, it was more of an excuse, really. But they introduced me to the stranger. Norm was his name. Little did I know that man would turn out to be my husband later on... We shook hands, introduced ourselves properly, and that was kind of it. For first meetings anyway. They left relatively soon after Gingi had me show Norm around the library. We spoke a little while I showed him around. I asked him about himself, learned that he was from Arizona, and that he was the town's new sheriff. I didn't get to learn much more about him than that before Gingi dragged him off to somewhere else. But all that mystery surrounding him had me so drawn in. I had to learn more."
He took a glance down to you for a moment before he paused, realizing that he was still talking. And he suddenly fixed his posture while he gave an awkward, nervous chuckle. It was easy to start rambling when the memories play out like a video to him.
"Oh-, I'm sorry, kiddo! I didn't mean to talk your ear off. I didn't even realize I was talking for so long. I don't... usually do that... my apologies! Thank you for listening, though. You listen very well. Maybe if you stop by again, I'll have more stories for you. I might even drag Norm in here if you'd like to ask him, too! But for now, I think I've uh 'yapped' enough, as the kids say it."

DO YOU HAVE ANY. U dialtown or dsaf headcannons idk if this was aske d buuut
yes. many. here's the dialtown ones. get comfy cuz were gonna be here for a while
- After being flattened by Mademe Mediocre, Bunny became partially disabled and uses a walking stick.
- Abel helped Bunny with his recovery and it was friends to lovers :)
- Jerry's dogs all attack him and his wife when they get home from work, but in a loving way
- Randy's jacket is torn to hell and back, and he refuses to get rid of it
- Oliver likes fnaf, and he explains the lore to the people hes closest with. Mr.Dickens didn't understand any of what he was talking about, Norm got lost like 5 minutes in but didn't have the heart to tell Oliver, Randy somehow understood him, and Gingi wasn't paying attention the whole time
- Mr.Dicken's wife's name was Julie and she owned a flower store
- Randy is autistic
- Gingi ate a rock once while Norm just kinda...watched
- Billy owned a fidget spinner. I say "owned" because he threw it at someone and never got it back
- Randy doesn't know how to cook for the life of him, but he does know how to make pancakes so at least he has that
- Callum and Marla are very affectionate towards each other to the discomfort of everyone around them
- Oliver has ADHD
- Gingi named each of their kids after the person it reflects. The horse is Carmel, the raccoon is Stromboli, the emu is Olive, the monkey is Squatch, and the eagle is Norman
- Gabby has a ton of candles around her shop that she changes for the seasons
- Norm absolutely despises winter and will spend all of it angerly sitting in front of the fireplace
- Karen clicks her pens when she's trying to concentrate, and it drives everyone crazy
- Gingi has bits of fur around their neck that grows as the seasons change and it gets colder. It's shortest in summer
- Pierre, Stabby, and Shooty are all friends
- Oliver lets his friends go through the scareshack for free sometimes
- Hobo was once paid to do a cartwheel, fell on his face, and was knocked out. He woke up a day later in some random dumpster near the center of downtown Dialtown
- Mingus is transfem
- Karen and Randy sometimes draw together. Karen is good with realistic things while Randy's style is a lot more cartoony
- Tango's favorite song is Living Island by Pogo
- Gabby loves talking with her customers, especially young teens who come into the store
- Oliver and Hobo watched a cheap rom-com they found in the dollar store once, and the night ended with Hobo breaking the disk over his knee and frisbee-ing it out the window. Oliver was just...too stunned to move. They don't talk about that movie.
- Abel is pretty good with card tricks
- Gingi acts a lot like a cat
- Callum and Marla met during one of Callum's early campaigns. Marla showed up to all of them and after a few, she slipped her number into his pocket.
- Randy's father was a priest and his mother ran the church he preached at
- Gabby hates the smell of cigarette smoke because she was around it so much as a kid
- Mingus has a pearl necklace that belonged to Marla that she wears a lot
- Oliver's music taste consists of: Lemon Demon, Will Wood, IDKHBTFM, Two Door Cinema Club, Brittany Spears, and Tally Hall
- Gingi behaves and is nice around Karen, but the second she leaves it goes back to being a gremlin
- Randy has severe religious trauma
- Norm hates any and all modern music. The only one he tolerates is Lord Huron
- Milton loves listening to Callum's rambles
- Finnaly, Mingus and Gingi act a lot like siblings
I told you I had a lot. This isn't even all of them, I'm just getting sick of typing.

I just woke up from a nightmare about being kidnapped and being put on a witch's trial and then. puss in boots saved us
wait no he was there with me on trial and then gingy, pinocchio and three blind mice kept smacking on the window behind us for our attention saying that they're here to rescue us and it was like a bizarre cross over episode. but that was the ending.
what I DIDNT like was... there's this freakish part earlier where I was in a store... my belos alter suddenly stops my body and talks to me in my head, darkness creeps into my vision, my head locking to the side like I'm getting into some sort of seizure. all the while he was talking to me, and it was fucking terrifying bc he really sounded like he was right behind my head. I couldn't move. I only remember the words "pray to me" in the middle of it. and this happened TWICE too. like he was forcing himself to front again like he used to.
and then I met a biblical angel who tried to kill me or something idk, after the witch trail I found myself in an abandoned house in a strange field and then this angel shows up trying to get me. it has so many arms and wings and it shapeshifted into a much more monstrous form while it chased me down so uh
yeah that was my morning

Shrek The Musical
“Shrek The Musical” was a little hard to watch.
Shrek has always been told that everyone gets a happily ever after, except for him. He grows up not wanting it and pushing everyone in his life away. When his swamp gets littered with stray fairy tale creatures, he’s forced to confront the man who did this, Lord Farquaad. In order to get there, he needs the directions of one of the fairy tale strays, Donkey.
I’m usually a fan of musicals. I think it’s full of extremely talented people who put their all into a performance that requires everyone to be perfect. I’ve actually been in a couple of plays myself. “Shrek The Musical” is no doubt full of talented people. Everyone has stellar singing voices and there were fun ideas sprinkled throughout. Brian d’Arcy James was a fine lead, although some of his line deliveries were a bit weird to me. Chester Gregory as Donkey looked like he was having a lot of fun and it was hard for me to not laugh at some of his jokes. Sutton Foster has a different approach when playing Fiona, but I genuinely enjoyed her performance. I think the stand-out performances were Christopher Sieber as Lord Farquaad and John Tartaglia as Pinocchio. I was amazed at how Christopher Sieber was able to perform on his knees throughout the whole show. I also enjoyed the bits of subtle sight gags he did with his fake legs. John Tartaglia’s voice was a bit shrill for my liking in the beginning, but then it became indistinguishable from the movie’s Pinocchio. Plus he had a phenomenal singing voice, which was only more impressive with the fact that he was using his shrill Pinocchio voice to sing. Also, I wanted to highlight Haven Burton’s singing voice as Gingy. She definitely slips into her normal singing voice, but I’m not complaining since it’s so damn good. So if I have so much praise for the cast, then why is my rating so low? Well, it’s because I had a fundamental problem with the play itself. I felt that they should’ve gone with an original story. Why would I want to watch a live-performance musical of a movie that I already know by heart? The movie is full of original jokes and mindful of its pacing. “Shrek The Musical” rehashes the jokes of the movie and bloats its pacing. To differentiate their jokes from the movie’s jokes, the actors would deliver their lines differently, oftentimes altering the comedic timing of those jokes. It felt as if they were going at a breakneck pace to finish the show before the two-hour mark. The play also adds scenes and removes scenes, ultimately making some parts feels way too long and other parts feel too short. Shrek and Fiona don’t meet until almost an hour into the story. There’s also a reveal that works against the musical number they added to the end of the story. The musical number I’m talking about is when the fairy tale creatures gather at Fiona’s wedding to confront Farquaad. The song is called “Freak Flag” and it’s about the celebration of being different. Then it’s revealed that Farquaad’s father is one of the seven dwarves from “Sleeping Beauty”. They basically establish that we should be proud of being different, but it’s fine to laugh at Farquaad because he’s short. All in all, I wish I could’ve enjoyed this musical a lot more, but it just seems like it was hindered by the restrictions that were placed from the start.

Hey dogman, idk if you answered this
Who, out of both DSAF and Dialtown, was your favourite to write and/or create?
It's very hard for me to pick favourites with my characters because I don't tend to give characters a lot of screen-time unless I find a character interesting or fun to write. You've caught me in a talkative mood, so warning, there's an onslaught of text coming!
DSaF: Dave was the most fun to write for, as I remember it. I mean, the guy is the walking personification of chaos and even when he's being constructive (eg, rigging robots to do insane stuff), it's usually in a destructive capacity. Dave will do LITERALLY ANYTHING but contribute to society in meaningful/valuable ways.
In terms of what character-writing I was most 'proud' of, I was also pretty happy with Dr Henry Miller, as a villain. Namely the research he embarked on, described in his logs in DSaF 3 (which the fandom evidently agreed with, as I got really strong feedback on those logs.)
One issue a lot of people (including myself) have with canon William Afton is that he's this kind of mad scientist character but his research doesn't really seem to be... idk, going anywhere? Other than using remnant (soul nectar?) to make kids possess robots, it's kind of a mystery how he got to this point he did from running a bad fast food restaurant. William gets fleshed out motivations in TSE and even then, it mainly revolves around his relationship with Henry Emily, iirc. It's actually pretty accurate to how real serial killers think, imo, but there's a pretty wide berth between this kind of serial killer and becoming a sci-fi fast-food mad scientist... So, I decided to try to bridge that gap.
DSaF Henry's logs actually mention where the idea for his research came from, namely the fact that he existed in a world with normal scientific rules just like ours and seemingly discovered something supernatural, and he approaches it like an amoral scientist would - trying to figure out how to figure out more about the fabric of reality using the newly discovered phenomenon of possession. The 'joy of creation' phrase people pulled from Golden Freddy's phone call in FNaF 1 is given context - Henry is trying to find out what's on the other side (and eventually, how existence itself formed.)
There's other aspects to his character that make him more interesting too, like the implication that his research is partially an excuse for him to act on an underlying sadism (with scenes implying that he inflicts damage on others than can't be justified as assisting with his research.) His background as a dissident/quack laughing-stock scientist (thanks to pushing his soul theory in a best-selling book, which is considered pseudoscience) BEFORE he embarked on his journey to become a fast food tycoon also makes it less farfetch'd that he'd be capable of y'know, harvesting human souls intentionally to continue his research?
I had more for the character on paper that people haven't seen but some of it wasn't revealed due to it feeling a bit too disturbing to publish. None of the contents would've been all that controversial, more just too tonally disturbing when written about in detail (like a omitted part from his backstory/lore post where he managed to pick up a hazy audio of his wife + son's crying from the radio of the car his wife/son drowned in and reacted with genuine elation upon realizing he'd discovered a new scientific phenomenon (as this was the first time Henry witnessed soul-possession.)) Yeah.
I don't feel much of a need to revisit Henry as a character because as a series villain, he was pretty thoroughly-written and he did his job effectively... And his fate was well earned! (He even got an epilogue short-story a few years back, further cementing his fate!)
Dialtown: From the characters/writing that the fandom has seen? Tough to say. I genuinely really like every DT character. Gingi and Mayor Mingus are two of my favourite characters to write for because they're both really insistent and react to adversity in a really comically indignant way. Mingus is more like Gingi than she cares to admit in very specific ways, which is the core hypocrisy of her character - she's one of the most abnormal things IN Dialtown, and spends the game on a quest opposing abnormality that she, herself, can't stand.
Many absolute rulers have debilitating physical and/or mental cruxes and despite that, usually have the final say on what is/isn't okay, often guided by arbitrary preferences. It's funny to remember all of the ancient kings and emperors who dictated how others should act, talk and even think, when very many of them themselves were anything except a good reflection of their own subjects! It's an irony I quite enjoy and leads to a fun character to write for!
My favourite DT writing is probably some of my Callum Crown speech drafts. I have a definite bias here since Crown's character is based on many figures I've encountered in my own reading (and his story relates to topics I enjoy reading about.) A lot of that is real nerd shit that wouldn't be interesting to 99.9% of DT fans (like a long conversation where Crown + Milt discuss a campaign speech Milt wrote for Crown and they bicker about if the wording/arguments used are truly honest.) Again, not super relevant to Dialtown-proper, but it explains a lot about why the world of DT ended up the way it did.
Realistically, the story of Dialtown itself is basically a weird little epilogue to a story that ended decades upon decades ago, centered around a bunch of small-town nobodies circling around the carcass of the last surviving main character of the old story.
I'm also very happy with Gingi's character partially because I know more about Gingi's past/future than you guys do. Gingi has such rotten memory that Gingi's backstory before DT's story begins is basically a complete mystery. Thanks to Gingi never getting close enough to any humans before laying its eggs, there's nobody in Gingi's life that can fill in the gaps. Companionship means so much to Gingi because prior to meeting The Gang, Gingi is aware of a massive and unknown block of time that's a complete mystery precisely because Gingi had nobody in its life. To Gingi, this time was basically akin to being non-sentient or dead, and Gingi would never go back.
While I was making DSaF, I drafted a ton of other stories on paper. I considered making most of them, but decided not to for various reasons, despite getting some solid feedback from collaborators. Bits of almost all of those project ideas made it into DT, with Gingi having traits from several other main characters I prototyped years and years ago. This includes where Gingi came from and what exactly Gingi is. I don't want to mislead people into thinking Gingi is more important than it is, like Gingi is the key to unlocking DT lore (I promise there's a LOT of aimless scuttling/devouring in Gingi's past and relatively little else!) BUT: Of everything from those old scrapped projects, Gingi is what I decided deserved to survive the most. And that has to count for something.
One day I'd love to make sequels to DT and perhaps explore some of the stuff I've described above, like why the hell the world of DT is the way it is or maybe where the hell Gingi spawned from. Thanks

I dreamt of dialtown! I was really weird and I don't really remember much but oh well.
So first, I opened my computer and suddenly the five "main" characters (Gingi, Randy, Oliver, Karen and Norm) started talking! What they said made no sense bc everyone was talking over eachother but I could differentiate voices occasionally so it was pretty fun to find who was who! Of course, the dream me had a massive freakout about hearing them, so they did.... A thing? Basically, they were jumping all over the place giggling and stimming . Normal stuff.
Then it suddenly switched to another DT scenario where I think I was getting ready for a date with Oliver or something?? Yet he was apparently with Randy and Gingi and so they were coming over too? So it switched to Oliver's POV, where he was driving down a street which had basically anything you could need for a date, a cinema, a restaurant, bizarre splotches of color that mimicked more buildings and the apartment complexe where dream me apparently lived? They were talking on top of each other again but it was a bit clearer (bc there were only 3 voices) it was really nice to hear them actually! (The dream came up with the perfect voices that I hadn't thought of before!!) Anyway, they talked awhile and then it switched back to my pov where I was having a relaxing bath (the bathtub was really nice, I want one like that) when the doorbell rang! Now in real life, this would be something awful and embarrassing. Although if you have a date in less than 5 minutes, you would have the common sense to NOT take a long bath right before. But this was no issue, as when I went to answer the door, the dream basically said "you, stupid, you have clothes now, thank me later". When I opened the door, instead of the trio I saw through the walls (yeah idk either) I was greeted by a stairway to heaven (it looked exactly like this↓)
And then the dream changed to random bullshit that I don't remember but it definitely wasn't dialtown so idgaf

smth smth oc rambles
murr is almost constantly swaying a little bit, think like a cartoon character does when theyre in love or smth. its not super noticable unless youre like actively watching him
outis plays with his necklace a lot, especially while he talks. also speaking of the necklace it was a present from his dad, the very first time he ever went to the beach with his parents he was way too scared of going anywhere near the water, and his dad got him the shell while diving and had ot turned into a necklace for him
also outis has had to be hospitalized twice because of his allergy, once when he was 5 (it was the first time they found out it was a problem) and once when he was 10 (went out to eat with family and everyone forgot to double check that the food was safe). his dad makes a joke every time he his a 5th year that its 'time for another scare'. outis does not think this joke is very funny but yk how parents are
xander (who i havent . talked abt hardly at all despite them being the most notable nonedatable from vinnies route oops) is 20 and genderfluid (any pronouns with no preference) and is probably gonna be the person who sets you up with vinnie methinks. he likes vintage and old time-y devices and has a weird fascination with medieval weaponry/torture . shes relatively normal xe just thinks its really cool
addy used to give free food to randy when he was living in the dumpster. juniper used to threaten to beat him up so he would give her that food while she was on the streets. addy caught her during one of these harassment moments and with margo's assistance helped her get her current job to get her back on her feet
oopsie does not like roe or murr and treats them both similarly to how she treats gingi. when asked she just says they creep her out and have bad vibes and make her feel like shes in danger so she avoids them (however if she had to pick between those two or gingi she would go to them for protection)
kara still has her old trophy head, she got it changed shortly before coming to town and keeps the trophy in her room in oakey's place. not as an ego boost so much as a humbling kind of thing, she looks at it whenever she feels homesick to remind herself why she left in the first place. the blue ribbon she wears was the first blue ribbon she ever won, and she won it for a singing performance. THAT one she uses as motivation
jackson had an older model smartphone as a head when he was little, when he was a teenager (like 16/17 or so) his parents paid to replace it with a newer one since his old friend group's parents were all doing it and they didnt want him to stick out. one of said friends got the rainbow headcase for him as a joke but hes just never stopped wearing it
when talking to charlie the first time he mentions that lillith is mute and offers to give the player a little sorta book with basic conversational asl instructions so they might understand lillith better. the player would be able to refuse this either saying they already know it or saying they just dont need it and if you say its because you know it already some of the things lillith 'says' wont make sense to represent misunderstanding their gestures, if the player says they just dont need it lillith's text just flat out wouldnt show and youd have to go back to charlie to get the book
both charlie and lilliths heads are damaged (his screen is shattered, their clipboard head has a piece broken off of the corner), neither will disclose how either of the damages happened
in outis' route youd be able to meet up with stop in the laundremat and the two of you would work together to help him for a bit. i havent decided if you meet it normally or if you meet them post them getting hit by a car (a very common occurance for her dont worry)
similar to murr roe is not super picky about pronounce or gender things bc when youre around for long enough you sort of decide being picky about gender is not worth it. smth smth "im nonbinary now this shit is getting ridiculous" type beat
