I FINISHED THEM WAHOOO!!! (thomas i know you're not on tumblr rn but just in case don't look at the picture for secret reasons that you definitely won't guess :P)

you can't see from the picture but the christmas trees are sewn with sparkly silver thread and the beads around the eaves are clear glass with silver in the middle so they sparkle too! (based on a pattern from gingermelon on etsy!)

I made him myself, but I think the scarf's a bit too big. I'm knitting a skinnier one and of course, I'm making a Moomintroll!!!

I even gave this Snufkin a pointy nose!!!

I didn't add this when I finished it but this my first doll in her Hufflepuff outfit. Once I get the Gryffindor outfit done, I'll just have Sytherin left to do. Again, these were all made with outfits from the book My Felt Doll by Shelly Down aka Gingermelon. The felt I use is also from her Etsy store.

This Genny, short for Genevieve. I made her from Gingermelon’s My Felt Doll book. So much fun to see. So, I’m in the process of creating an outfit for each Hogwarts house for her and I started with my personal house, Ravenclaw. Hufflepuff is almost done.

I was asked to make poppets. I reminded everyone that I work in the astral, primarily, and I have no need for poppets. I can feel out the energy I need and work my spells that way. They told me poppets were a requirement to move forward.

I don’t hate poppets. In fact, I love poppets. Back when I used to do some role playing, I had a character that used to make poppets all the time for everyone. He would give them as gifts and then not tell them what was inside of the doll fashioned to look like them, so they never knew if it was a blessing or a curse to receive one.

The little doll in Mulan stuck with me a lot more than some other parts of the movie.

Scrump is a sought after doll for my collection.

One day I wondered if I could sew. I’d always wanted to try but the fact that it seemed to be a mostly ‘feminine’ activity kept me away from it for  years and years. I was afraid I would be wasting money on supplies. I figured I wouldn’t be good at it because I am not good at art in general.

It turns out I can sew and I really enjoy doing it as well. I still don’t like that I have to make poppets but I certainly enjoy doing it for fun.

(Pattern from Gingermelon - once I found her I stopped looking for patterns. They’re all great for beginners.)

I know this is jarring going from TMNT content all the time to me posting random physical art I've made, but someone asked about it, so here are some of the other things I do other than draw!

Polymer clay and acrylic sculpt, I called it "Fellaen".

"Pluff" a poseable art doll.

A crochet blanket! The pattern is "mini galaxy of change" which ended up being a lot bigger because I used yarn twice the size of the recommended yarn but it is SOFT and I love it

Celine (owl) and Ophelia (bunny), both patterns from Gingermelon!

Apron inspired by Alice in Wonderland, sewn without a pattern but very based on the look of 1860's England aprons. I sewed it without a machine and hand embroidered everything. This was made for a competition for Foundations Revealed!

This is just a few of the things I've done. Physical art is a bit difficult at times because I have to move a lot, and with all my medical issues it's hard to move that much. Crochet and embroidery tend to be easier, as I can do both lying down. It took me two weeks to put together the apron, which a lot of people could sew on a machine in a day!
