Ari looked at the Gimmighoul that had taken a temporary seat on their shoulder while they'd been gathering fallen sticks and branches from the forest just by the beachside. They didn't mind, of course. They were always happy to talk to Pokémon.

"Not quite. They'd probably hunt me down regardless. They're that cuckoo." If Ari didn't know any better, they'd probably call it a cult, with how its members operate. "That whole thing was just a goodbye present to light a fire under their rears."

"But yea, they're the ones that were chasing me. Don't think I'll be running into them out here, though. Doesn't look like any humans have been through here in a long time, if at all."

Cherry looked up from setting up a small purple and black object on the ground at the Pawniard.

"Just watch! ... Is what I'd like to say, but unfortunately if I try to use any of this armor's functions, I'll be out in a heartbeat." Cherry just let out a sigh, rubbing her brow. "This thing is a massive drain on my energy, so you'll have to take my word for it."

"Essentially, this armor, which I just call my Porygon Armor is powered entirely by my ability to interface with technology. I put a lot of functions into it. The energy blade is one example, but it can also allow me to remotely connect to either any technology within my eyesight, or to any of my labs and anything connected to them."

"I tried to add a way for me to fly, but unfortunately all the methods I found are pretty damn heavy, and I want this to be as lightweight as possible."

Howdy hey, welcome to another Fanart Friday!

First off, I'd like to apologize for my absence. I haven't really had many ideas on what to draw that aren't story-based comics, and then got invested in the new Zelda game, haha! (That also may or may not be why this Fanart Friday came out this week and not last week, but shh-) But don't you worry! I assure you, I will be back with some funny lil hahas and some story points soon enough!! Any recommendations through the asks would be nice as well, if anyone wishes to offer anything! Anywho, that whole thing aside, let's move on to see the lovely seven characters I've picked for this week!

(@gimmighoulcoins) Hestau looks around the forest, peering at each flower carefully until they spot Loki. "Hello, hello! You live here, right?" Hestau takes another look around them before continuing, "I bet its real pretty. I can't really see the colors, but I know flowers usually have a lot, lot of different ones. Oh, oh! Do you have a favorite one? Color, I mean! My favorite's gold 'cause its the only one I really see 'correctly'. There anything that's made a color your favorite, favorite?"

Loki sat tending to her flowers with a hum on her snout, a wag on her tail, and a perk to her face, peering around looking for any oddities. Shortly after, she spotted Hestau, waving toward the smaller Pokemon and gently beckoning them toward her with a forepaw.

"Hi there! You're that Pokemon I met and talked to about that coin, right? I hope you've been well." She trilled quietly at the ghost, blinking and pondering what they had to say. When Hestau mentioned colours, the taur stood up. "Gold is lovely, dear, absolutely! But it's not my favourite... here, wait for a moment."

She padded toward a garden bed just in the distance and knelt down, working with several flowers before returning with a pair of flowers. One was a fuchsia, and the other was a goldenrod, both about Hestau's size. She offered the goldenrod to Hestau with a smile.

"Well, since you can 'see' this one, how about you keep it as a reminder that you got to visit, sweetheart?" Loki held her fuchsia close to her own snout, smelling it lazily and sighing. "I love purple. It's probably the most important colour in my life. It was the colour of my first husband's eyes, it's the colour of all my leaves and paw-socks, my own eyes, ear and tail. It's the colour of the leaves on the dogwood tree where I spend the most time; it's full of my best memories and soothes my eyes."

"Oh... and I thought about what you said about your coin last time, dear... do you think of it somewhat as a 'soul,' so to speak? Like, it carries your spirit, it's what basically made you, and if you somehow ended up separated, that you wouldn't be you anymore? Or wouldn't exist? I'm sorry, dear; as much as that might sound morbid or sad, that's kind of how my mind ended up interpreting that..."

Audino isn't a favorite of mine by any means but I miss my ol' nurse :( why can I not simply bend time space to be able to run darkvoid-sun, gimmighoulcoins, poorlydrawbuzzwole, weeklygolurk, glimwoodnurse, and sweetdreamscafe all at the same time in addition to my tf2 blog and my main blog? is that too much to ask?

and the S-Squad! my first askblog group! Salem, Sticks, and Sugarcube! never finished their story and foolishly deleted their blog! I could reboot it I could I- (is forcefully removed from stage with one of those shepherd hooks)

Charade: “Hello, little merchant! You knooow~ if you want to hold a fundraiser, you should try cookies! Just go around, ask your family when you see them next holiday, ask your friends—especially the mint ones? They’ll LOVE that! …Okay, okay. But while I’m here, let me see what you got!”

The cat dips her arm and bows, extending a paw before the Gimmighoul; with a small flourish, in her previously empty palm, she flashes a shining gold coin.

"Wh- How did you do that?! I wanna make coins outta air! Tell me, tell me!"

Hestau stares intently at the coin in Charade's hand, tilting his head as it tries to figure out where the coin came from. They keep trying to figure out the trick, with no success, as they continue.

"Cookies, huh? People have those when they're picnicking sometimes, should be easy enough to get... I don't have family or friends to sell them to though. S'always just been me, my coin, and my chest for as long as I can remember."

Hest finally gives up trying to solve the magic trick, but keeps its eyes on the coin.

"I'm sure if those people would like it, people that come by to buy things would too though! Speaking of, see anythin' you want?"

The chest has grown steadily emptier, though there was still a fair few items visible inside. Among these were empty cans, berries, two sticks, strangely patterned rocks and metal scrap, a fire stone, and a dented thermos.

Gladius: Not that I'd fault her for any of that, of course! I mean, I was probably really annoying as a kid, so it was only fair for her to annoy me right back, but it's not like that did anything. I had every opportunity to leave her pack when I was old enough, but never did, so obviously she was doing something right.

She taught me everything I know from hunting to leadership, and even though I'm a Bisharp with a pack of my own now, she still comes in and lectures me sometimes... But there's always something to learn, for both of us now.

All that being said, I'd never give it up. I'm glad she's still here even though I'm not a part of her pack anymore. It's nice.

As for my dad...

Gladius: I was too young to really know him, but I do remember that much. So I guess you can say I knew him, but not the real him.

{ A shiny Sylveon trots up to the chest, giving a gentle tappity-tap with one of his ribbons. Many different colors and shapes of stickers adorn his cheeks, and his tail wags a bit excitedly. He's supposed to be on a completely different mission, but whatever. } Arthur: Hey, I've heard about this lil', uh.. shopkeep-trader pokemon around here? Is that you? I've got a coin or two to trade, I'm just looking for a few more stickers to add to my collection! Wanna spruce up my look a bit more, yknow? { On an outstretched - and carefully balanced - ribbon lays one of those coins that Hestau seems to enjoy, ready and willing to exchange. }

"That'd be me, yes, yes, unless there's some other 'mon I don't know about!"

"Stickers, huh? Lemme see, see."

Hestau looks through his chest directionlessly, not seeming to have any specific item in mind. A satchel is pulled from the clutter, flipped upside-down and contents shaken out, Hestau's eyes lighting up at catching a glimpse of an item suited to trade.

Three stickers that had fallen from the satchel, a bit dirty and worn but unpeeled from their paper squares, are placed upon the sylveon's outstretch ribbon to take the place of the coin, which Hestau quickly grabs and adds to its chest. One sticker is a generic yellow smiling face, the second is a sticker with some stylized text and a swinging pendulum- a sticker for some kind of brand, perhaps?- and the third is an anatomically correct heart, colored blue and pink.

"Enjoy!"

Atop an old watch tower, sits a strange chest- looking closely, you can see it shaking slightly every few seconds. Choosing to approach the chest, you get within arms reach when suddenly it bursts open-

revealing a Gimmighoul! The ghoul begins excitingly speaking before the chest has even fully swung open.

"Welcome, Welcome, hi! See anything you wanna buy?"

The Gimmighoul gestures to the contents of its chest- which is metaphorical and literal trash. Berries of various kinds, discarded cans, broken pokeballs from trainers failing a catch, and handful of sticks- the only 'diamonds in the rough' visible in the chest are a fire stone and dawn stone. The evolution stones are perhaps the only thing in the chest anyone would actually consider worth buying.

"One item for one coin, its a good deal! So wanna buy anything? Do ya? Do ya?"

Say something to the shopkeeper?

(@pokege-ne-project ; Wesn) "Oh, this is one of these shop places!" He doesn't have any trading things, so it'll be mean to try to take anything. "Is it okay to ask why do you only want one coin for anything? I noticed some shops ask different things for different stuff."

"Well, its just what makes the most sense, isn't it? One item for one item. Two for one wouldn't be fair, would it?"

"Besides! If I ask for more, people might be less interested, right, right? And then I don't get any coins! No, no, this is the bestest most fair way to get coins!"

HEY HEY HEY! YOU, THERE! LITTLE SILVER FELLA IN THE CHEST! I COULDN'T HELP BUT NOTICE YOUR... GLIMMERING SUPPLY. IT'S WONDERFUL, AMAZING ALREADY! BUT COULDN'T IT BE MUCH MORE???

WHILE I HAVE NO GOLD TO OFFER, YOU AND I ARE VERY SIMILAR IN OUR INTERESTS, SO I APPLAUD YOU FOR THAT, COUSIN! THEREFORE, I OFFER THEE DIAMONDS! PURE, FRESH, CARBON-CRAFTED DIAMONDS, FRESH FROM THE CARBINK SOURCE. YOU MAY HAVE NO SUCH TASTE FOR THESE, BUT I'M SURE THEY'LL MAKE YOU A PRETTY PENNY!

"Even if its not coins... doesn't feel right to take and not give.. Oh!"

Hestau puts a hand up to indicate for their customer to wait a moment, then digs through his chest. They find what they're looking for fairly quickly, and hand the items over to the sableye.

The various jewelry pieces are, for the most part, plastic, with only one real gemstone as a centerpiece on the pieces that do have any gems at all. Hestau seems satisfied with the one-for-one it came up with.

"Come back again if you ever find any coins, coins and wanna buy something! And, er, I'll remember to visit you,if I ever need any more more of those."
