Gigi’s New Scaremester Diary - Week 1

MONDAY 1: Pet Store w/Sultan Sting - I need to pick up a new heat lamp and fine ground sand. He's very particular about how sand should feel on his claws

TUESDAY 2: Video Chat w/Dad - Being free has given me the ability to contact other lanterns, so its a good chance for us to catch up on both of our latest comings and groanings. Hopefully he won't have to 'pop out' in the middle of it.

WEDNESDAY 3: New Lantern Shopping - It feels kind of strange to think about getting a place where I don't have to open the door every time a monster knocks.

THURSDAY 4: Meet w/Headmistress Bloodgood - I need a place to park my new lantern. She is going to help me find one that is safe and suitable.

FRIDAY 5: Movie w/Howleen - It seems strange that I should become friends with a 'finder', but that is what Howleen has become, and I've never seen a film in an actual theater. This should be... fun... a concept I am learning to embrace.

SATURDAY 6: Stargazing w/Iris Clops - She lives out of town where there is no light pollution, and she has an amazing telescope. More fun!

SUNDAY 7: Dinner with Steins - Frankie is so kind and gracious to invite me into their home. She has warned me about something that will be served called sauerkraut. My unlife is so sweet at this moment that I am sure it will taste like candy.

RARRRRR INSIDE JOB PART 2 GUYS DID YOU HEAR LETS GOOOO!!!!!!!! ITS 4AM HWABAB I WANTED TO FINISH COLOURING THIS DOODLE!!!!

With part 2 being announced, I wanted to give my ocs a little redesign,, something to signify the time passing for them because HRGAGS WORKING UNDER RAND CANNOT BE GOOD FOR YOUR WELL BEINGGG. I have a deadline on uni work coming up, but after that I'll see about slipping in some quick full body refs for a part 1/2 comparison.

These three are just old doodles from last week I think? All their part 1 designs, and a fun lil comparison on seeing what I changed about their looks. My top part 2 drawing isn't perfect bc I'm absolute shattered but ☠️😫 I'll fix it eventually.

And a new inside job oc Cognitos very own Special Agent ORLA, she does her best to put the fun in funeral as she's taking improv comedy classes! Her line of work isn't very,, fun to say the least, so she tries to bring a little silliness into it. Some call it tone deaf, but she sees it as seizing the moment! Why shouldn't she practise her punchlines, the guy she's got at gunpoint doesn't have anywhere he needs to be 🙄🙄🙄🙄. She's a real sweetheart, big ole mushy gushy softie over here. Definitely makes it a point not let her work make her numb to the simpler joys of life.

While she's familiar with working for the secretive side of the government, she's still a fresh face at Cognito.

So where did you get your ideas for Richelle? Since she's so different from Shay I'm curious

she’s still in development and likely will be for quite a while, but honestly i kinda just wanted a ‘weird girl’ mixed with a beach bum that’s obsessed with tropical plants like i am. i can only shovel so much of myself into shay without her losing her personality and interests, if that makes sense. shay has a certain vibe about her that i don’t wanna disrupt, but richelle is mostly a blank canvas so a lot of those ideas are going to her instead.

i’ve made vague little posts about her possibly being french canadian (from ottawa area, not québécois /lh), or how everyone in her family has a name that starts with R, plus an unconventional but ultimately un-broken family dynamic that’s a bit too much for me to attempt to describe simply in a post like this. i’m working on her bio and backstory now so it should hopefully make sense soon ;;

Anon 1: It would be a bit odd if I had said that. Palestinians are not a monolith and have very different views on strategies and tactics, it would we be reductive and absurd to talk about 'what Palestinians want'.

More generally - I don't have the interest in this to be a digital archeologist and figure out what was first (although I have done some basic research). So I can't enter into discussions of who said what first - I can only talk about the politics that I've seen.
