I'm sorry to go off on your ask in particular, but I get so many like this. Out of 5 suggestions I get, there are maybe 2 that are actually metal. And, you know, it's fine if we disagree on whether Type O Negative or modern Meshuggah are metal, those are fine suggestions. But The Hu? Korn? Sleep Token? Butthole Surfers? GHOST??? (...fucking Dethklok, too)

At least there are some good suggestions in this, and I will add them and I appreciate them. But can you guys please stop just indiscriminately sending me songs off your playlist that aren't quite pop? I don't want people to be apprehended from sending me stuff, but if you don't know what metal is, then at least give it a quick lookup on everynoise or something.

Draco was dead. His body was still warm in Pariah's arms, the Ring of Rage that Pariah had given to him for safekeeping still glowed softly on his finger. He looked strange like this, like he was sleeping but wrong, a twisted doll layed broken on its back.

He had known it was a long-shot for their bond to have saved Draco after losing so much blood- the human body simply couldn't go as long as his jester had with that sort of trauma to the internal organs. If only Draco had told him he was half-human, if only Pariah had known. There was only so much cursing one could do to the past.

The crown that floated between Pariah's horns seemed small now, a tiny victory dulled by the loss that pulsed in his core.

He covered up the body with his cape to pay respects, knelt beside it with his forehead to that fragile chest and prayed to his old gods, the old human gods who no longer turned their eyes upon him to bring His Magpie back to him. 

It took some time. Hours, days, weeks. Pariah did not know, time lost to the lava filled cavern. But his Magpie awoke with a gasp and a jump-start to both their cores. His skin was a lovely lilac, his wide violet eyes blinking rapidly at Pariah.

"Who. . . Are you? Who am I? Where are we. . . ?" Pariah remembered this, at least. The confusion and memory lost when one first arrived in the Ghost Zone. He stood, helping the boy to his feet and wrapping the cape around his shoulders to secure it, holding their hands between them. 

"I am Pariah Dark, king of the realm of ghosts. And you, my love," He lifted a hand to brush a stray hair from the boy's freckled cheek. "You are Draconis, and you are my Queen."
