For those who are newer to the story, Seymour and Kirsten are the Generation 2 heir and co-heir of the Darling legacy.

Their relationship has been one of the most turbulent, as together they've overcome misunderstandings, jealousy, infidelity, legal battles, ghostly encounters, years of their lives stranded on a deserted island separated from their children, death (multiple times), resurrections, and serious injuries, yet they're still going strong well into old age🥺

Kirsten and Seymour were preteens/young teens when they shared their very first kiss together during a game of spin the bottle, however, they were not one another's first significant-other.

🌺 - this part is actually pretty similar to how we deal with some parts of our killer subsystem, it’s generally better to play along and work with their mindset instead of trying to fight it. When that happens it makes them more comfortable when things are framed as orders because it feels familiar, but it doesn’t matter as much what we actually tell them to do. We can tell them to do things like breathing and grounding exercises and they’ll just be happy to be doing something for us.

Usually there’s two main things that they want in that state. One, they don’t want to think for themselves; they don’t have any motivation to do anything for themselves and they don’t want figure out what they’re supposed to be doing on their own, they want someone else to do that for them.

And two, they want to be useful but not important; they want to be doing something for someone else, but they prefer their role to be one that could be filled by anyone and they want to be doing something that does not have a major impact on the person that wants them to do it.

Anyway, just thought y’all might be interested to hear how this kind of thing can work with real people. I’m always surprised how similar we can be to our fictional counterparts :)

I'm once again plagued by thoughts of Killer's stages. And I was thinking specifically about Stage 4 and about it recognizing Color as its new owner and Color taking the opportunity to teach it how to establish boundaries, how to say no, and that it's safe to do both of those things because Color will never get upset at it for that.

'Cause, you know, just saying "I'm not your owner, we're friends" wouldn't work. I'm sure he tried those.

And then I got the vision of 4 saying no for the first time, then freaking itself out and running away to hide. (Possibly because Color was surprised at first, and 4 only really knows how to distinguish good reactions and bad reactions, not really neutral ones. So to be safe, it categorized that as a bad reaction. And, usually it would have laid there awaiting punishment, but Color made it clear in the past that he doesn't want that, so fleeing it is).

Anyway, Color checks all over the house and doesn't find it. He checks the little den 3 has made in a shed in the back and 4 isn't there either. He checks the treehouse Delta has made for himself to get away from Killer (where 2 routinely goes to bother him) and doesn't find it.

Eventually, he gets a message from Ccino with a picture of a pile of cats with a trail of black leading up to it and the caption "This yours?".

As it turns out, 4 is not any more immune to the charm of a cat pile than any of the other Stages. Though this is the first time it was allowed to feel their softness and warmth and that poor lonely soul finally felt at home and passed out there

And also the idea of Delta having to build an entire treehouse just to get away from Killer only for Killer to follow him there too seems absolutely hilarious to me 💀. At this point they might as well just build a fort up in the treehouse and engage in parallel play.

Aetherine (link): a non-xenine umbrella term that encompasses all things related to the otherworldly/ethereal. It is usually centered around the idea of otherworldly ideas/concepts/things and/or connection to concepts/ideas/things from other planets, whether fictional or real, but not always.

Altumen (link): an umbrella term for terms (genders, identity, orientation, alterhuman, etc.) connected to the deep sea, deep sea creatures, speculative biology, merfolk, merfolk culture, and nonhumanity/alterhumanity.

Ambedoric (link): a umbrella term that is centered and based on the concept of ambedo (link leads to definition). It is a very broad umbrella term that can include xenogenders, aesthetigenders, neurogenders, etc. underneath it. It can, however, be simply used as a xenogender, but does not definitively have to be.

Apalaros (link): a gender umbrella that is mostly based on fragility. May be similar to being kenochoric in a lighter since. It has close ties to feeling fragile and almost ghostly. Things like photographs, snowglobes, and time may be considered Apalaros in nature. This is not inherently a xenogender.

Aquarine (link): similar to soporine and kenochoric, it is an umbrella term surrounding the themes of aquatics, the ocean, water, marine life, and anything related.

Cringenic / Cringern (link): a gender umbrella related to all things cringe! designed with otherkin, neurodivergent, and queer people in mind, this gender umbrella is related to reclaiming the word cringe and being unashamedly yourself. cringenic / cringern is, overal, related to being againdt cringe culture peace, love, kindness, unity, and of course, being "cringe". it's usually also related to accepting others, being childish, and etc, but doesn't have to be.

Cuteseyic (link): A non-xenine neogender umbrella related to cute(sy) things. This umbrella term encompasses all things related to cuteness. It is usually centered around cutesy concepts/things, however one may identify under cuteseyic if they do not fit under this definition.

Cybertrecores (link): An umbrella term that describes an identity, understandable only in concepts of one being Cybertronian. It is connected to the anatomy of Cybertronian species, it's culture, machines and mechanisms, transformation, mass shifting, shapeshifting, and everything else, that might be connected to Cybertronians.

Dimensen (link): an umbrella term connected to alternate dimensions, multiverse theory, subdimensions, pocket dimensions, fate, soulmates, and the like.

While I did coin the term as a way of describing gender, other types of good-faith identities may also qualify as Esperic.

Everithe (link): a NON-XENIC neogender umbrella related to lightness, dawn, infinity, everlasting, gold, and existence. this can be metaphorical, literal, or something in-between.

Kerlinux (link): a neogender umbrella for genders related to the linux operating system, free and open source software, computers, and so on. it's a broader version of linuxgender, which is under this umbrella. this may also be used as an individual gender.

Liminix (link): a gender/umbrella term for genders that feel deeply and inseparably connected to liminal spaces. this gender may feel as though it exists within a liminal space, or simply be inseparably connected to the individual’s interest in liminal spaces. an eerie, unsettling, liminal gender.

Lumenoir (link): centring around golden light and positivity, Lumenoir is an umbrella term that includes identities that relate to sunshine, kindness, compassion, glitter, gold, brilliance, and all that shines. It is strongly positive and perhaps may be glowing or luminous. Some experiences that fall under this label could relate to sun showers, the light of dawn, acts of kindness, or angelic halos! Experiences that fall under this label may include concepts not listed above and may differ from what I have stated in this post! It mostly is about how the term feels and what vibes it gives off rather than a literal checklist of what to include and what not to include!

Luxine (link) is an umbrella term centered around the ideas of divinity, light, holiness, and vastness.

Macarshric (link): a neogender that is NOT xenic or xenine. It is the sum of macabre and horror themes which generally means the distress or disturbed feelings that can arise from death and/or violence. Macarshric is its own gender, but it can also be an umbrella if the user chooses.

Mechaneve (link): A non-xenine umbrella term that can encompass all things related to mechanical engineering, machinery, and other similar concepts and themes. Can be based off of vibes too like an id that feels mechanic. This term is usually a gender, but is not exclusive to being only a gender.

Occunous (link): A neogender umbrella related to watching and being watched, paranoia, eyes, the need to know everything despite the risks, the need to collect and store information even to one's own detriment, and The Beholding from The Magnus Archives!

Polyhedral (link): a gender quality that describes a gender identity that is heavily/directly connected to shapes/objects that have many sides, this can be both on a molecular or normal scale.

Rosenion (link): an umbrella term for gender similar to love, red/pink/violet, and amatopunk aesthetics. it may feel bright, comforting, caring, safe, warm, loving, lovestruck, obsessive, or soft, but it doesn’t have to be. it can describe your gender feeling comforting and caring, being described by love and stereotypical romantic/sexual/platonic/etc gestures, relating to one’s amatopunk identity, a combination of those things, or something different.

Rosetoric (link): a umbrella term that is centered and based on roses and femininity (link leads to an image of roses). It is a very broad umbrella term that can include xenogenders, aesthetigenders, neurogenders, etc. underneath it. The umbrella, in general, is feminine, but does not necessarily have to be feminine and can include any type of genderedness under it.

Scalecosmic (link): an umbrella term that describes gender(s) that can be described by space, space objects, or particles that don't exist on Earth, but indeed are somewhere in space (antimatter, for example).

Scenemis (link): an umbrella term for something that affects ones gender or alterhumanity or full identity. What actually happened was, once again, self defense on SQQ's part (after he'd asked to go visit YQY at the hero school and QJL did not like that) and a candle that got knocked over in the scuffle. QHT walked in just in time to see something really bad without context,but the house was collapsing so they both had to run. QHT didn't get very far, but was saved by some people from Oakvale, and they took care of her. SQQ, having hero potential, got as far as the brothel to the north before collapsing, where the ladies hid him and tended him for a while. (He would later return and do the quest to turn it into a women's shelter.)

At this point they both think the other is dead. SQQ continues on to fill his family duty of being mayor, though he's really not interested in the job. (At this age he wants to be a hero, though when he gets older, he realizes he probably wouldn't like it for various reasons.) QHT recovers slowly, and even once she's physically better, she's traumatized and can't walk past the old house. Eventually news reaches her of SQQ becoming mayor, along with bad rumors, but she's not really in a state to do much about it.

(Other rumors include him buying out the brothel so he can become their exclusive patron, and that's why he keeps visiting, but it's not exactly a secret that it's a women's shelter now, so.)

Meanwhile, childhood friend YQY is frequently visiting the very young new mayor, and also LQG (Thunder, sort of) shows up, mad that someone of such ill repute is taking up so much of YQY's time and also probably doing corrupt stuff, or something. Look, he doesnt know either; he's just angy. Even more angy because the mayor is pretty??? Hey! That's not allowed!!! They argue every time they meet until:

LQG: Fight me!

SQQ, openly bewildered: ???

Someone: You want... to fight... the mayor?

LQG stops, turns beet red, and runs away.

SQQ: ??????

LQG has acquired one (1) brain cell and now knows he has a crush on SQQ. He awkwardly apologizes a bunch and their relationship gradually becomes like him and SY in canon.

Enter LBH, who meets the teacher. This SQQ is not already obsessed and LBH is too old to trigger his paternal instincts like his students do, so he's not particularly pleased about this rando bothering him... BUT LBH promised to bring books, so he'll tolerate him. FOR NOW.

Unlike the teacher in the game, SQQ has the sense to actually read the books beforehand to make sure they're suitable. Upon receiving something unsuitable, he'll complain to LBH about it. If it's solid literature otherwise, he'll say he might use it when they're older, so thanks anyway, he guesses. If it's not, well, we know what he's like.

LBH: I could... take it back, if you want?

SQQ: No, it's mine.

LBH: ... (shit that's cute)

LBH continues to bring every book he finds, but he especially enjoys bringing trashy ones. (SQQ also especially enjoys those but he won't admit it.)

Anyway, LBH's adventure continues and Teacher Who Is Totally Not The Mayor is a peaceful bright spot in between all the violence and drama. In Oakvale, QHT asks him to bring her to the burnt out manor to see if they can figure out what actually happened. They do figure it out, largely via ghostly flashbacks. QHT isn't exactly happy, but one of her brothers was a monster either way. At least the one that survived is innocent. Heart settled, she finally writes to SQQ to let him know she survived, and later asks LBH to escort her to Bowerstone to move in with SQQ. SQQ may or may not keep trying to foist his mayoral duties onto her. Her presence, and staunch defense of him, leads to a decrease in nasty rumors.

Eventually LBH tries to start courting SQQ (without glasses because he wants it to be official, and doesn't want people to think he's cheating). SQQ, of course, couldn't catch a hint with a baseball glove. To be fair, he is somewhat distracted by trying to maintain the correct Mayoral Aura instead of relaxing into the less rapport they usually have.

Everyone else notices, though, and it doesn't take long for things to come to a head.

LQG: I challenge you to a duel for SQQ's hand in marriage.

SQQ: Huh?

LBH: I accept.

SQQ: What??

YQY: I would also like to duel. :)

SQQ: When did you even get here???

A Different Kind Of Man-Beast. Mel to Roman Craig (The Great Outdoors) FTM TG/Were-theme. Featuring that Werebelushi In The Shades, speaking of that character this story gives us a little bit of a history behind him...specifically a history of being a former trouble-maker. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mel the koala-girl and her best friend Eucalyptus were an adorkable anthro koala duo that fangirled over a lot of different actors and characters,  and in Eukie's case it was Dan Aykroyd. If you were to ask Eukie which actor she'd consider dating or falling in love with -  you'd hear 'Oh definitely Dan Aykroyd.'  In her half of the apartment, you'd find a ton of Dan Aykroyd movies and merch including homemade ones.  One night the two of them were in the media room part of the apartment, sorting out the movie collection.  'This is definitely better than the selection at the Monster Mart video store.'  'How so?'  'At least this one has a comedy section where the comedians are listed by names.' 'I couldn't even find the Dan Aykroyd section when I went last week.'  'I don't think there is an Aykroyd section.'  'No Dan Aykroyd section?  That's a crime that is.' 'How so?' 'When I was looking in the comedy sections for movies that have Aykroyd in them.  All I found was a section that had I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry and Pixels. Sandler movies! I shouldn't have to dredge through the Happy Madisons, the bad parody movies and American Pie knock-offs in order to get to my beloved Aykroyd movies.'  

Matthias aka That Werebelushi In The Shades nodded in agreement. 'As much as I love buying movies and shows from that store...ugh, I agree. Going through the horror section was a chore for me. I always attempt to find some good 80's or 80's-esque horror movies to talk about on my show, but sometimes I just get bogged down with all the Sy-Fy channel movies and the Asylum films.  Yes occasionally I get Full Moon movies like Gingerdead Man, but most of the time...Asylum, Asylum, Asylum.  Seriously they put up a whole damn Sharknado section.' The John Belushi-esque monster with shaggy black fur had been perusing the Monster Mart video store for several weeks and even he had to admit that the selection was poor.  'So you agree?' 'Oh absolutely Eukie.' 'Thank you for helping out with movie night by the way.'  'No problem.'

The two of them had called him over for help on their movie night,  Eucalyptus planned for an Aykroyd marathon with Mel and Matthias but she had to be extra cautious, mainly because of how the moon along with whatever show or movie Mel was watching at the time affected her.  'However we are going to be extra careful. You know, it's a full moon and when you have a movie night on a full moon and Mel and I are involved.' 'Say no more...I remember the last time that happened, we had a Jaws marathon and Mel turned into a monstrous shark-girl and tried to stalk my roommates when they were in the pool.' 'Oh yeah...and when she got turned into a Freddy Krueger-like version of herself after watching the Nightmare On Elm Street movies.' 'We have to be careful. Just in case..' 'This isn't going to turn out like that time she watched all the Howling movies and turned into her werekoala form is it?' 'Of course not. Besides, it's an Aykroyd movie marathon...what could happen?' 'She could become part conehead.'  'That would be adorable seeing her as a conehead.' 'Or worse...she could turn into that Aykroyd ghost from the Twilight Zone movie.' 'You mean the ghostly hitchhiker?'  'Yes.'  'Or she could...get were-celeb powers from it again and become a Were-Aykroyd.'  'She already does have those doesn't she? Of course she does.  Although it wouldn't be so bad would it? I mean if she turned into Aykroyd or an Aykroyd character it would be the most precious thing ever.'  'To you maybe Eukie,  but if she turned into say J.P Valkenheiser from Nothing But Trouble or Vic from Neighbors, oh boy would I have trouble trying to remain sane with either of those two.'

Eukie giggled as she called the two of them over to the sofa and she started the Aykroyd movie marathon up with the Blues Brothers, followed by Neighbors,  Spies Like Us, Doctor Detroit and Trading Places.  Mel seemed fine during the first half of the marathon but once it got to the double bill of My Stepmother Is An Alien and the Great Outdoors she started clutching her stomach as if she had eaten something awful. 'Eukie...I don't feel so good.'  'Really? But you were fine earlier...' Eukie took a glance out of the window and saw the full moon about to peer from behind the clouds. 'Please excuse me for a second...'  'Alright,  you're excused.'  Mel hurried over to her half of the apartment and braced herself, fearing what was going to happen to her...was she going to transform into a monster, or into a version of herself based on a character from the movie?

As the moon peered out from behind the clouds and the light shined through the windows and onto her,   she felt a rather uncomfortable sensation jolting through her body,  she groaned in anguish as she saw her chest and torso slowly broadening and expanding,  her grey and white fur slowly transitioning away except for a few parts that darkened and grew across her chest and downward to almost navel length. 'Oh that's just great, i'm getting more hair than usual and i'm already furry. I hope i'm not turning into the bear from that movie.'  She groaned a few more times as her breasts slowly retracted into her chest and then screamed. 'No nooo...noooo!'. Her dark blue tank top was getting a little bit tight as her stomach slowly pumped itself up, inflating and growing.  'Ugh..i'm getting hairy AND also gaining weight? I ask... could this get any worse?'.  

She had always prided herself on her athletic physique which she had gotten from naturally being a gifted athlete and crime-fighter as musculature developed on her chest, torso and stomach. She gasped as her arms contorted, altering as her hands enlarged...her tank top's buttons popping off rapidly one by one and flying all over the place. 'If this tank top gets ruined, someone is going to get their ass kicked tonight.'  Looking at her tank top, she expected it to rip at any minute but instead it slowly turned into a checkered overshirt while a white undershirt materialized underneath, she scratched her back for a bit, feeling a bit of hair sprouting a little bit on her lower back.  'Well thank goodness for that'. She was relieved but still a little bit shocked and horrified as she tried to see if her koala-like tail had changed, she felt around and touched her rear...watching as her tail retracted.

Her jeans slowly turned from blue to brown as her feet enlarged, her legs stretching in the process.  Her privates altering into the more masculine variant while her hip shape altered, losing the aspects of a female pair of hips and restructuring into a more robust mannish pair,  she gasped as two of the middle toes on both feet shifted and merged to give them a slightly webbed appearance. 'Well at least i'm not turning into a bear...if i'm not turning into the bear, then who am I turning into?  Hang on...the outfit, the odd-looking webbed toes...i'm going Aykroydian aren't I?'.  She gasped as she examined her body,  her back broadening as her shoes darkened and turned red.

The koala-girl's back slowly broadened as her shoulders followed suit as she slowly elevated in height to 6'1, a jacket similar to the one the character Roman Craig wore materialized over her shirts as her neckline altered.  While her hair shortened and fluffed up, darkening to a darker shade of brown and a pair of short clean-shaved sideburns sprouted on her cheeks,  her eyebrows arching and thickening as her eyes widened, one eye turning from brown to green while the other remained brown.  giving her eyes of two different colors.  Her koala-like ears shrank into her wavy hair and shifted into a more human looking pair as her cheekbones sharpened and her nose enlarged and altered in size.  Her heart skipped a couple of beats as she gazed at herself in the mirror.

Her lips altered in appearance while her teeth brightened, her facial features slowly morphing and reshaping into those of the character...that character being Roman Craig, as her jawline altered and her appearance became less recognizable to her.  'I look like a Dan Akyroyd character!'. She screamed as her voice deepened and altered, becoming masculine and very manner of factly in terms of mannerisms as it altered to match her appearance,  becoming Roman's voice. 'Now I sound like an Aykroyd character too?'.  The koala-girl held her head as her personality and memories altered, she was starting to remember she was male but more than that...that she was named Roman Craig, and that he has the brother of Chet Ripley,  she attempted to keep his personality at bay but his influence over her was intoxicating, she couldn't help want to give in.  Eventually as in a few seconds later,  Mel gave in and Roman officially took over...the transformation had completed itself.  Roman strode over for a few seconds before admiring himself. 'Not bad, I clean up well.'

Matthias/Werebelushi looked over for a few seconds as Eukie went to go in and inspect what had happened. 'I have got good news and i've got bad news. What do you want to hear first?'  'The good news.'  'Alright, the good news...Mel has not turned into J.P Valkenheiser.' 'Thank goodness! I wouldn't want to end up on that Bonestripper rollercoaster!', 'And the bad news?' 'She's a much worse Aykroyd character.' 'Which one? It's not Vic is it?'. 'Roman...' He gulped, as he braced himself for Roman's arrival...a few seconds later the new Roman Craig showed up,  chuckling to himself as he looked over at him.  'Hello there Werebelushi, wanna wreak some havoc together?'  'I told you Roman, I don't do that..i'm not that kind of monster.  And besides, we all know that I have sworn off that for good.'  'Don't tell me you've gone soft on me now.'

"No I haven't gone soft,  I am just saying that I don't think it's safe for us to do it. Besides, we all know you have a different version of fun than I do.  And I'm just saying you're a bit too chaotic for even me. It's difficult to keep myself sane with you, the only character crazier than you is Vic."

"Crazy? Me? Why, rejecting my suggestion to have an absolutely fun-time causing havoc is the craziest thing i've ever heard if you ask me.  But hey, who am I to judge?  Despite how different your views are from mine,  I respect ya. Plus I wouldn't want to mess with you especially not after I heard about your wrestling skills."

"Not just wrestling but also martial arts.  You forgot i'm a kung fu master."

"I bet if you paired up with me we'd make a good tag-team in a battle."

"We'd make a great team, yes...but i'd have to keep you under control."

Roman cackled in his signature way, laughing at Matthias's remarks and responding with a few quips. Both of them were troublemakers,  but Matthias was a reformed troublemaker who had worked with Roman in the past and after one incident he decided to change his ways and to reform,  that and his anger issues at the time combined with his powers were two benefactors in that case,  specifically in the instances where his inhuman strength accidentally resulted in injuries,  most of the injuries were not fatal but some did have quite a few broken bones as a result.  The two buds rekindled their relationship with a hug as Eucalyptus walked over to them.

Thus with that Matthias, Eucalyptus and Roman continued the Aykroyd marathon and had a good time doing it and later that night they celebrated their friendship.  It is unknown if Mel managed to morph back to being herself afterwards, but she did learn a lesson and that lesson is...sometimes even if you know it's going to be bad, you have to give things a chance to see how they play out.  And to the new Roman Craig,  this was only just the very beginning.  Reuniting certainly did bring Roman and Matthias together in lots of ways.

This year we've been saying it's in correlation to 1775 and other years but it's hard to tell every year it is in correlation to prior years and future years all year long and it's by the month every day has two or three events believe it or not sometimes mostly it does and there's smaller events and you're running some sort of huge theatrical performance you're not aware of now some of you know but you don't know what year matches with what year. A BLESSED CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR

Several years ago, when Sara and David were still in grade and secondary schools, we’d sing in the car to a song which we were very fond of. It was a song of Peace and Joy. Not exactly a traditional Christmas-sy song like Irving Berlin’s White Christmas, but the message is generally the same. 

Most of us have probably never heard of the singer, actor and songwriter, Hoyt Axton (1938-1999). Well, he wrote a hit which he titled, Joy to the World. It is not the traditional Christmas one which we are all very familiar with. No. This song by Axton, was popularized by the 1960s and 1970s rock/pop/folk band, Three Dog Night. 

Sara, David and I would sing the song or perhaps, scream our lungs out to the song while we drove along the highway. Sara reminded me recently of these long-ago episodes, suggesting the enormous joy and excitement we shared together in that old, ghostly and trusty Audi A4. 

As we ponder once again the Miracle of Birth this Christmas, a birth which denotes peace, joy and redemption, we should also be mindful of the sacrifices which these entailed. We pray for peace and joy throughout the world this Christmas and forevermore.
