It was a slower morning at the café, just a handful of quests sitting in the corners far away from the counter.

"Guys, really!" Tix said, "Is it really so scary? Like, look at this! Is that the face of a Pokémon of mass destruction?"

They're referring to the, relatively, small yveltal sitting next to them behind the counter. Reluctant nodding comes from a middle aged man with a jam filled donut and a cup of black coffee from a table directly next to the door.

Yoghurt in the meantime is grabbing a big donut, trying to stick it's nose through the hole and trying to eat it from the inside out.

"I can not believe Yoghurt is still not bigger than you. This has to be mockery from the universe." Olivia chimes in from another table where he's cleaning up a spilled cup of tea. "It needed like a week to be taller than me and then just stopped growing! Is it not supposed to grow like 10 feet tall?"

"20 if i recall correctly" Tix responds. The guests are shrinking even further into their respective corners. "But i think it doesn't want to lose headpat privileges" they add, stroking the dark type across the head, causing it to make... a kind of noise somewhat adjacent to a cooing sound.

"Hmph" Olivia pouts towards her employer. "Again, I'm sorry it frightened you, i will bring you another tea immediately" she says to the woman sitting at the table she's just finished cleaning.

but then again i dont exactly know what im complaining about..? i mean i have a good life, i get gifts or stuff when i ask for them, i can joke with them, i can give them affection but it just feels so empty

i hate how complicated people are.

Hello hi hold everything. I was scrolling through your blog and kept getting hit in the face with vague allusions to a TOTK SAF AU????? Which sounds utterly delightful + heartbreaking??? Spill the tea what’s up with that

AHA HI. Okay so I haven't got around to properly posting about it yet because I have been working on it behind the scenes for the most part, lots of yapping in dms with like 3 other people (<3) and writing bits and pieces of fics that I am hoping to edit a bit and post eventually. However I have been unable to stop myself from mentioning it publicly because they live RENT FREE IN MY HEAD AT ALL TIMES.

I haven't got a full cast yet bc there are too many characters in Zelda and I am mostly focused on Curtwen for the purposes of the au, so most characters are literally just their original versions for now. But! The core of the au is that Curt is Link and Owen is Zelda. Other castings include Tatiana as Sidon, Barb as Purah, Cynthia as Impa, the Informant as a fusion of Yunobo and Penn, and Sergio as Hudson.

The plot is basically the same as canon botw and totk, I just break my own heart by making it Curtwen. Probably the biggest difference is that I'm making them older at the start of the story than Link and Zelda are in the original (I am Not making them 16/17, it isn't happening), and the span of time between Curt being assigned as Owen's knight and the Calamity breaking out is also longer than in canon (probably at least a year, potentially more).

Lots of angst with Owen desperately trying to awaken a sacred power bestowed by a goddess that will never answer his prayers, lots of pain with Curt dying in Owen's arms and being resurrected without his memories, lots of me crying because *gestures incoherently at the entire plot of TotK*. But also them getting to have some fun romance cliches with royal balls, and them getting to live in a cottage in Hateno Village together and slowly get to heal from the hell that their shared destiny has put them through.

The whole thing kind of exists because of the opening scene of totk. Owen falls, and Curt fails to save him, and he spends the entire rest of the plot trying to cope with and atone for that failure. He's haunted by images of Owen, constantly chasing him, being forced to ask if Owen is the one behind all the chaos going on, and eventually finding that the truth was hanging over him all along and might be even harder to bear.

Uhhhh yeah. I'm inconsolable about them, honestly. I wrote a version of the "Tears of the Dragon" cutscene for this au which is maybe a bit naff but was very fun so maybe I will post it someday when I have more time.

Hello, uh, ghost side of rotumblr? Are there any ghost types that are known to posess dolls and plushies? I know of Banette, but i do not think this applies here? I think Banette are usually somewhat vengeful if they are not with a trainer that evolved them, and i have not been harmed. Yet...

I am no expert though, and if there are other possibilities, please let me know and also how to deal with those? . Olivia

See, requests are so much fun because yesterday I got a request for headcannons for a ghost MC and I would have never thought about that in a million years but now it's haunting me (get it lol).

Ghost!MC terrorizing Baxter because they're bored and it's fun. He gives into the friendship because he's so lonely, MC can't buy him a souvenir on the shopping street because they are a ghost and that's not how that works, but they give him like a seashell or something to remember his time in Sunset Bird.

Then at the end of the summer, he's like "Well, that was something," tells MC bye and heads back to school in Virginia, but then it's like that trope where a ghost can attach itself to a meaningful object. Baxter comes back to his dorm and his desk is on top of his bed.

Baxter: Not again ...

MC: Consider yourself haunted, my good sir.

Baxter: (sighs) I truly do.

i think in my world's most haunted guy au mk wasn't always able to see ghosts. he used to be a normal guy with a normal life, blissfully unaware of the paranormal, until he somehow got caught in some magic ritual (probably like. pif and red son trying to free dbk from some sort of ghost jail or smth?) and magically bound to wukong. among other things, this magical bond includes:

being able to see + interact with ghosts now!

being aware of the supernatural

pigsy and tang thinking he's fucking Nuts for a while until wukong gives them proof

the worst fucking ghost roommate anyone has ever had
