i think yellowjackets is fun because the two timelines allows the show to recontextualize itself constantly. like how adult misty’s devotion to adult natalie in s1 feels a bit misplaced especially considering adult nat acts like she can’t stand misty. misplaced, until you see teen misty save teen natalie from death in 2x08. until you see misty’s face the moment it became clear it wasn’t going to be nat, but javi. until you see that the wilderness didn’t choose in the middle of that lake. misty did. she always picks the choice that will save natalie in s1 because she chose natalie in 2x08 and paid the price of a life for it. and i just think that’s neat.

when the doctor and rose come back home in army of ghosts, and the doctor tries to sneak by but gets snatched by jackie, and then walks by with a disgusted face (the like, one lighthearted scene we get in this arc)

When the adult Yellowjackets reenact the hunt, Jackie's necklace isn't there, which makes me wonder where it is ofc--Buried in the wilderness? Interred with Jackie's returned-at-rescue remains? Still on the neck of whoever is the last kill? Brought back by Shauna and given to the Taylors with no acknowledgement of its role in the YJ death games? In Shauna's safe waiting for a future role, maybe even to one day be given to Callie??--but most of all, it makes me wonder: is Shauna the first, and so far only, girl to be hunted without being marked as a stand-in for Jackie? The implications...
