Blood/Gore warning! Just in case—

My first major post to a new fandom and I brutally kill a main character. Shouldn’t have expected much else from myself, honestly. ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

Anyway, context if my subtle background hints weren’t enough (or ya just want a little bit more info):

Post movie, Leo couldn’t be saved, and everyone went home mostly expecting him to be dead. There was very little hope for his survival, really, and they all had injuries to care for themselves. While they did plan on trying to check later on, (at least to get a body), with Donnie building a portal and Mikey trying to unlock his powers, in the end, they didn’t have to.

Within a few days, things started happening gradually around the lair (moving objects, closing doors, flickering lights, etc), until eventually they were getting texts from Leo’s number. No one really wanted to believe it, whether out of fear of what his presence implied or straight up not thinking ghosts were real, but eventually, as Leo texted things only he’d know (and the general acknowledgment of Hamato spirits being a thing), they came to be… open to the idea.

Draxum confirmed that ghosts were fairly common amongst yokai, separate from spirits, and with that Donnie dived head first into researching it, determined to see the ghost and get solid proof that it was, in fact, his twin.

In that research, he came across information on a ghost’s appearance. He didn’t pay much attention to it, or the dread that settled in his stomach. He didn’t care. He didn’t.

But Leo does. Leo really, really does. And that’s two reallys.

I wonder if the younger campers at chb wrote fanfiction about their favorite ships from the biggest heroes (the seven) at camp. If they did I bet there were ship wars between Jasico and Percico shippers all across camp. Meanwhile Solangelo shippers just point to Nico and Will making out and mouth ‘I won.’

Leo and Piper are the only ones that know and are here for the drama. Nico and Annabeth have their suspicions but don’t have enough evidence.

Capture the Flag wars are held twice a week now. One time regular style, the second so that the shippers can be on separate teams and take out their annoyance with the other ships.

The fanfics start getting out of control. One twelve year old Athena kid teams up with an Aphrodite kid to write a big three threesome and hand out the latest chapters like drug dealers to other campers.

Leo jokingly writes Solangelo fluff and sells it for $2 a chapter each week. The Stolls help with distribution.

“Isn’t it, though?” his little brother snapped, jaw tightening. “We are testing for supernatural involvement in our home, which is incredibly ridiculous by all means, but I’ve done enough research into the topic to know there is at least a good 38% chance it is possible. However, the chances this is just some shapeshifter is far more likely, and y’know what?” Donnie laughed sarcastically. “The fact we are sitting here, debating on a magical shapeshifter versus an actual ghost is insane. Insane! I should be in my lab, trying to get our brother back. But instead, I am here, working to prove this is all just a piece of actual shit yokai fucking with us so that I can get back to work without this absolute dread in my stomach, terrified that it is a ghost, because I don’t know how to deal with that if it turns out to be our reality!”

Hot take but I think a lot more people would like Jason if they didn’t immediately jump on the hate train when they open Lost Hero to see his name instead of Percy. And I think the people who joke and meme the frankly wild overreaction of not seeing Percy (*gasp* how DARE he not be in ONE book) are partially responsible for a number of people who come into the series hating Jason.
