Piper, page 323 of House of Hades: “if she was reading the prophecy right, either Leo or Jason would defeat Gaea. The other one would die.”

So, who defeated Gaea? Leo.

And who dies? Jason.

So Leo’s death had nothing to do with the prophecy. It wasnt “leo came back so jason had to die the prophecy had to be fulfilled bla bla bla”, it was Leo defeated Gaea so Jason had to die.
