Deans face is so good.. to me that looks like a "what the fuck is going on???!!" Kind of look..

Rio goes from beating the shit out of dean, slapping him, humiliating him and being a scary menace to being just soft.. he's walking slowly towards beth, calling her Elizabeth, slowly taking the gun off her hand, softly speaking to her, telling her "it's alright, it's okay", gently pushing her hair and caressing her chin and he feels genuine.. and dean is just sitting there speechless..

Because dean gets violent criminal unleashing his anger on him but this gentleness doesn't make any fucking sense!

For a minute, it’s hard to see the source of the blood, rivulets running down the thin lines of his abs, pooling in the hollow of his belly button. It smears red across too much of him, and Beth has to lean in a little closer until the metallic scent of blood hits her nostrils and it’s all she can smell. She curls her hair behind her ears, traces her gaze until she finds the wound that’s still weeping. A round little puncture about the size of a watch face, a newborn’s yawning mouth, a golden dollar, in the normally honeyed skin at the edge of his left hip.

Beth exhales, and she’s close enough it hits his side, if the shiver that runs through him is any indication, and she shifts back onto the couch as she looks back up at him. -

A blackout rolls over the city and Rio shows up at Beth's in need of a little care. Set post-s4.

Elizabeth Marks works in congressman Robert Marks' office, her father's office. She has little of personal life, as work occupies most of her time. But one night with a strange changes everything.

The stranger, Rio, is a charming man, looking dangerous, but she kind of loves that dangerous aura around him.

Elizabeth doesn't know yet that Rio has his own agenda.

The entirety of brio in 2x11 is just them being jilted lovers! Because this isn't just a woman trying to get out of crime (obviously) they're just jilted fucking lovers!!

Beth keeps throwing away body parts acting like they're flowers her ex boyfriend keeps giving her after she dumped him! The fact she just kept throwing them away and tried to ignore the whole thing for days is insane to me! Beth he's not your boyfriend (he is) he's a crime boss, a gang leader and you can't just quit!

Like only 2 questions were answered in the 20 questions scene, one of them being one of the most romantic things rio has ever said! "It'll take a life time to wash all that money" "yeah that's kinda the point" Basically he just admitted to wanting to have her for a life time! (leave me alone).

"That's not an answer, Christopher" "oh it's not an answer, Elizabeth" Definitely a normal crime boss/crime employee relationship..

I have brought up rio being down bad a couple of times now but just look at beth, she want to kiss him so bad, she wanted Him to kiss Her so bad!! She keeps looking at his eyes and then his lips then his eyes again.. like beth baby you dumped him!!

Okay but I'm rewatching good girls and in 4.9 they meet in the bar in the day, and Beth says the kids are coming home tonight. Rio and her get busy and then she's like....the kids will be home soon....how long did that love marathon go for bbbaaaaaahahahahahhaha. In my head they banged it out all afternoon until just before dinner lol. Okay I'll show myself out byyyeee. 😅

I can’t quite decide what my headcanon is on this. Because what time do bars open? Whatever time it is, it’s either well before noon, or well after noon. Simply because the sun would be straight above them, not streaming in all romantically like that if they were anywhere near lunchtime. This is like a 10am sun or a 2pm sun.

Then in this scene here, see how his shadow is cast pretty significantly to his right? The sun has set further. So if I had to place money on a bet, I’d say she met him at the bar around lunch, brought him home and offered him a sandwich (for the lunch), got him into her bedroom around 1 or 2pm, and they went at it until the sun started to tip down. A couple hours maybe? Maybe three? They for sure did a lot. That bed was evidence. And Beth thought it was her LAST TIME. She would have wanted to do everything. Every-THING! That man would have had his mind blown. She would have gone completely feral.

Then, when Beth went and stripped the bed, cleaning away all traces of Rio, the sun looked to have set. Her bedside lamps were on and there was almost no light behind her bedroom curtains as she glanced at her absolutely destroyed bed. So maybe she was in the shower for 30 minutes, scrubbing her skin with the hottest water she could stand. Then went and got dinner started, made all the beds and did laundry while it cooked. And then she set the table, put on her Beth mask, and pretended all that detergent could scrub away the person she knew she was becoming.

Sorry for all the self reblogs, guys, but I’m stuck and needed to reread some stuff to see if I could get the creative juices flowing again. I’ve got 3 or 4 smallish multi-chapter fics that are just a chapter (tops! - probably - and 28345 proofreading sessions, max!) away from being done, but it feels like wrapping things up is taking forever.

Is this what it’s like when the spark dies? 😩

It’s not that I’ve moved on… I still can’t even conceive of writing anyone other than #Brio… It just feels harder. It’s definitely going slower.

But… slow and steady, right? 🤣

25. What projects are you currently working on?

I'm working on a pretty massive original project, which is actually making me have a lot of fun with prompt fills again. They're such a great warm up exercise for me, and I have so many old ones in my inbox that it's a bit of a smorgasbord, haha. In particular, I'm messing around with a couple of Succession ones - a gen one I'm even hoping I might post today which is kind of a four + 1 fic about the kids with Logan's clothes, and a meatier Kendall x Stewy one.

I do actually have a Brio one though too I've been playing around with, which has been so fun, and even an Ava x Deb Hacks one, which I hope I might one day actually finish and post.

28. Share a piece from one of your current WIPs! (Brio)

The camping lighter click-click-clicks, but there’s no spark, no flare, no hint of anything that might make this night any easier. Beth cusses beneath her breath, squinting back down at the box of Dean’s old outdoorsy-things, barely able to make out anything that isn’t barbeque tongs or a dusty, unopened box of fishing tackle in the darkness of the garage. Back to Plan A then, she thinks, grabbing her 23% battery cell off the top of the shelves where she’d tried and failed to angle the flashlight in a way that still let her use both of her hands.

Portable charger, that’s gotta be first priority, but then, didn’t Kenny ask to borrow it for the iPad?

So batteries for the flashlight then. The drawer had been empty earlier, but she figures she can empty a few remote control cars / dogs / light-up Barbie disco floors from the kids’ rooms.

She pads back into the house, the thin stream of light from her cell the only thing to illuminate the path ahead, and she manages to step over the vacuum cleaner she’d been halfway through using on the clippings of a bad batch of the counterfeit cash when the outage hit, only to see a figure hunched over her couch.

It’s instant, the way she can feel the thrum of her pulse in her neck, throat, mouth, a scream trapped like a hummingbird behind her teeth, and she’s thinking lamp, she’s thinking vase, she’s thinking Kenny’s algebra text book, cracked on the back of a head, when Rio’s slow drawl slips like a knife through butter in her head.

“Hey, darlin’,” he hums, and Beth exhales a rough breath.

“Thought we agreed you’d knock.”

“Door was open.”

“And the lights were off.”

“Power’s out.”

“All over town,” she agrees, angling her cell light to catch the angles of his face, and she frowns when she sees the graze at his cheek and the pinched expression to his face. She knows it better than she wishes she did at this point. “Thought we agreed next time you’d go to hospital. Do you know how hard it is to get bloodstains out of a linen blend?”
