pairing: atsumu x f!reader

this is part 2 to: come home with me (and to get this you kinda gotta read pt 1. not a standalone due to references)

warnings: aged up/current manga tl, fwb, nsfw (again not full on smut but yeah idk how to explain), atsumu is canon asshole but also sweet?

The sound of Damon and Elena’s bickering and sexual tension had long been drowned out. The show had simply become background noise to the sound of heavy breathing, smacking and whispered pants. Atsumu had invited you over simply to hangout. When you teased about him just wanting to get in your pants he only said “We can just hang in the living room if ya want.”

The two of you had gotten through three episodes of The Vampire Diaries before the hand that had previously cuddled you into his side dropped to your thigh with a gentle squeeze. “Tsumu,”

“I’m not tryna start nothin, promise. Besides, Samu’s here.” The side eye you gave him was only met with a kiss against your cheek and asking for “just 1 kiss.” You should've known it wouldn't be just one kiss from the way he helped you up to straddle him.

“I could kiss ya for hours baby,” the mumbled words against your lips caused you to smile. There was that damn name again. Lips moved sensually against one another and the way his tongue explored your mouth left you both breathless.

“Then do it.”

His groan of approval caused the hands on your hips to pull you even closer. You whispered for him to be quiet as the shift of your hips stirred something inside of him.

Before anything could erupt further the ringing of your phone caused you to pull away. “Atsumu, c’mon,” you try moving off of him, but hands hold you in place.

“Pretty sure you can answer from right here doll” You raise your eyebrows at him, both at the nickname and in response. He only handed you your phone which had stopped ringing. You sigh looking at the caller ID shooting him an apologetic look.

“It's my cousin. I’m gonna call her back.” He half expects you to get up, but is pleasantly surprised as you dial the number with no intent of getting up. As you talk, Atsumu busies himself by playing with the waistband of your sweats and his own phone.The mention of his name is the only thing that stops him from annoyingly snapping the waistband against you.

“I’m hanging out with Atsumu. Osamu didn’t wanna watch The Vampire Diaries with us.” You say something about confirming that the two of you were only friends. You roll your eyes as he mouthed asking if you were sure about that. “I think so, I’ll double check with him. I’ll come pick up the dress this weekend.” You hum a few more times before tossing the phone to the side hanging up. You sigh resting your head against his chest.

“What’d she want.” One of his hands moves to rub comforting circles along your back.

“To tell me the bridesmaid dresses came in,” you feel yourself closing your eyes as you listen to his heartbeat. “You're still my plus 1 to the wedding right?”

“Course. When is it again.” You mumble out the date and Atsumu stiffens. “Wait what’d ya say”

“May 23” Sitting up, you observed his face which was now scrunched up. “What's wrong?”

“Shit. I’m sorry doll. I have a game that night. I thought the wedding was on like the 25 or somethin” He doesn’t miss the flash of annoyance and then disappointment flashes through your eyes.

“Tsumu, the 25th is a Monday. Who has a wedding on a Monday.” His hands tighten around your waist as you attempt to get off his lap.

“Stop, I’ll fix this--Samu get in here.” You cringe at the loudness of his voice yelling for the twin and bite back with your own bit of sarcasm.

“What are you gonna have Samu play in your place.”

“What do you want Tsumu,” the silver haired twin emerges. He greets you before eying the compromising position of you and his brother. He doesn’t miss the opportunity to remind his brother that he does have a bedroom. “Oh shut up. I need ya do to me a favor.” Both you and Osamu eye the blonde curiously.

“No.”

“I need ya to be (Y/N’s) plus one to her cousin's wedding on the 25th.”

“Yes”

“Atsumu-” Both you and Osamu exclaim loudly. Yes you were close with Osamu too, after all you had befriended the nicer twin first. Nor, did you have a problem going with him, but you would’ve appreciated Atsumu asking you first.

“Wait- fuck You Samu! Ya said no at first.”

“That's before I knew the favor was a date with (Y/N).” You could see the tiniest smirk on the twin’s face as Atsumu’s mouth literally dropped.

“No, you’ll just be a plus 1. Not a date.” Atsumu slides one of his hands so that it's now cupping your ass. The accompanying squeeze causes you to shift as you quickly regain your composure.

“So you were just gonna be my plus 1,” You look to see Osamu shoot you a wink and you can’t help but laugh.

“No, I was your date. He's your plus 1.”

You continue laughing at his emphasis, until a sharp slap against your backside stops you. “Tsumu!” Your narrowed eyes catch his cocky ones.

“Baby,” the deepening of his voice causes a throat to clear behind you.

“They’re the same thing.” Your hands shoot up to cup the cheeks of Astumu’s scowled face. Osamu mentally notes the way Atsumu’s brow softens and shoots his brother a knowing look. ‘

Don’t say shit Samu’,

‘You're an idiot’

Osamu ends the silent conversation with a nod. “You two are fucking disgusting. Just let me know the details of our date (Y/N). With that Osamu retreats ignoring his brother’s curt “fuck you”

Atsumu was feeling great. MSBY had just won a game. He got in several service aces, the crowd tonight felt electric and he had fun. He was on top of the fucking world. High on adrenaline he joked with his teammates in the locker room, making it a point to annoy Sakusa. “Nice little wrist thing tonight Omi-omi” Out of habit he pulled out his phone to reply to any missed messages during the game and accidently clicked on instagram. Before he could, he spotted the first picture on his feed and his mood completely soured.

It was you and his stupid brother all dressed up posing at the wedding. He rolled his eyes at the caption: the best plus 1 ever. The main picture of the photoset was a selfie of the two of you, a kiss being placed on Osamu’s cheek. The next one had Osamu’s hand around your waist, a grip that looked room comfortable for his liking. He could hardly focus on the way the emerald green dress fit you perfectly. The v in the neck exposed the skin of your collar bone that he would've loved to markup. The flowiness of the dress would have had him mesmerized, and had he been there, his hand would have stayed on your skin through the slit in the dress. The third picture was just his brother showing off styled to perfection and he couldn't help but huff in annoyance.

The last picture however had the setter practically seeing red. It appeared to be an off guard shot. While you sat at this table, his brother stood over you, bent so that his arms wrapped around your shoulders. From the grip you had on Osamu’s forearm, to the lazy smile gracing his brother's face and the way you looked mid laugh and happy. He was jealous. Did you look that happy around him? To add salt to the jealousy room he also noticed a snapchat from his brother. It was a selfie with the two of you. Your tongue was out while he wished he could wipe the smug grin off his brother's face. The picture read: (Y/N) says she wishes you were here. I say you need to man the fuck up before its too late.

“Hey Bokuto. You wanna go out tonight,”

“Thanks for tonight Samu. I had a lot of fun.” Your head rests against the headrest. You were so tired.

“I did too. The food was really good too.” You hum along to the radio agreeing with him. It's nearly 1am and you're just now heading home after being on cleanup duty.

“You only agreed to go for the food,” you teased your friend.

“And to piss off Tsumu.” You rolled your eyes in amusement. Typical twins. The two of you sat in silence as Osamu continued the drive back to your place. You due to the exhaustion, and him due to concentration on the road.

You went to unclick your seatbelt as he pulled up at the apartment complex. You thanked him again, before gathering your purse. “Hey (Y/N).” You look back at the silver haired twin as he looked contemplative. “Tsumu is Tsumu. Don’t give up on him even though he's an idiot.”

Osamu couldn't help but chuckle at the look of surprise on your face. “The way you two look at each other is sickening. Being so in love but staying friends. Almost as disgusting as how you two are always one move away from giving everyone in the room a live porno.”

You choke on air at the words. Several thoughts ran through your head, and the phrasing is almost reminiscent of the blonde. “W-what we’re not-I’m not-”

“It's like- do you two believe in decency when you're together,” you can tell it's a joke but you find yourself covering your face in embarrassment.

“All I’m saying is that the feelings are mutual. They’ve been even before you two started fucking. Although, I will say, his were there before yours. So, talk to the idiot because I’m tired of his shit.”

“Thanks Samu.” You tell him as you close the car door. This time when you repeat the words they're for more than his company tonight.

After a quick shower you're resting in bed on your phone. Before scrolling social media you shoot Atsumu a quick text. “Hey, I’m sure the game went great. I’m proud of you always. Pls text me when you can” After hitting send you opt to go on snapchat for a little. Atsumu’s story is the first one that pops up. The first snap is full of yelling and celebrating. Then he’s at the bar taking shots with Bokuto, and some other guys from the team. You scroll through a few more drunk ones before coming on a specific one.

There's some girl on his lap and he's recording the two of them literally making out. The following snap is just a blurry picture of him smiling at the camera but you don't miss the obvious bruise now present on the column of his throat. You don’t even leave hickeys on his neck. He always complained that they took too much work to cover when he has to be professional. Your smile falls immediately and you almost want to cry. Until you remind yourself, that you two are simply just friends. Maybe Osamu was wrong.The buzzing of your phone signaling a text message catches your eye. It's from Osamu.

‘Hes a fucking idiot.’

‘Its fine’

The phone vibrates for what feels like the millionth time and you pick it up embarrassingly fast, only to be met with disappointment. Just a stupid promotional store text. Practically tossing the phone on the table you couldn’t help but sigh. The ice in your drink had long melted and you're sure the waiter is tired of stopping by your table in pity to see if you're ready to order. You've already concluded that you have been stood up, but couldn’t help but hold on to a small ounce of hope.Just when you decide that you are gonna just go, you hear several familiar voices.

This night couldn’t suck any more. Looking over you confirm your suspicions, by seeing Atsumu and several of his teammates.You force your head down and hope that none of them see you looking this pitiful and hope you could sneak out undetected. That hope existed until the hostess decided to walk the men past your table to the other side of the restaurant. All it took was an innocent glance by Bokuto and your cover was blown. “Hey Tsum-Tsum. Isn’t that (Y/N).”

That’s how you end up alone with an uncharacteristically silent Atsumu.

“Hey”

The air was awkward as he slid into the seat across from you.

“Hi,” you mumble out. It had been about two weeks since you’d seen him or even texted him. That had been the longest of radio silence between you two ever in the several years you’d known each other. He noticed the way you continuously glance at your phone.

“Waiting on someone?” He has no idea what to say. He was the one that pretty much ghosted you after all, not even bothering to reply to your text.. He knew you saw his snapchats from a few weeks ago and didn’t know how to approach the topic.

On one hand, the two of you weren’t dating, but up until then you were the only person he’d even kissed in the past several months. He knew it was the same for you. No matter how much flirting either of you did with others it never went past just mere words.

“I got stood up.” Your own voice was uncharacteristically small and it made him frown. Where was the confident woman he’d seen you grow into and fell in love with. The way you were slouched sadly made him not even react to how you were gonna go on a date.

“With that guy from the club last month. I should've known this would happen.” The words fall bitterly from your mouth. Not that loser again. If he wasn’t one before he definitely is now. Who would stand you up. You were the closest thing to perfect in a person. He doesn’t say what he wants to, which would include shit talking the guy. Right now you need him as a friend.

“Did ya eat anything.”

You shake your head. “Well looks like you have even better company tonight. I’m starving.” He dismisses the way you ask if his team would be ok with him just ditching. “They’ll be fine. I got somethin’ more important to handle right now.” You don’t move the hand that reaches for your across the table. He’s gonna fix things and get his girl.

Dinner progresses with some awkwardness, both of you dancing around the elephant in the room. He decides to say something as you two nearly finish.

“Samu told me he talked to you that night” You hum in acknowledgement. You’d already figured that much.

“Listen, don’t worry about it. Let's just go back to the us from a year ago. Just friends. Before- this,” you motion between the two of you. The remainder of your food seemed completely unappealing so you just pushed it away.

“I was jealous.” Your unchanging expression prompts him to continue. “Of you and stupid Samu at the wedding. You looked so happy with him and he used to have a crush on ya and shit. Back in high school.”

Your scoff causes him to frown. “I know that and we talked that out ages ago. Me and Osamu are just friends and if you don’t remember he was only there because someone couldn't be. Is that why you ghosted me? God, you're an ass. How are you 23 acting like you're 13. Over someone you're not even dating at that.

Atsumu couldn’t help but drown your rant out. A sigh of relief escaped his lips, because there you were. The person unafraid to check him was back. “And now you're not even listening to me-”

“I love you.”

The confession and the casualty in which he said it caused you to pause. “Atsumu-” your warning falls on deaf ears as he repeats the words.

“I love you. That shouldn’t exactly be a surprise to ya doll.” You place your hand in his waiting upturned palm complaining about him being annoying. “I happen to know that ya love me back as well”,

“I hate you and Osamu.” You can’t help but roll your eyes at the smugness that has now returned to his eyes. You move your hand before handing him your unlocked phone. “What am I looking at.”

“The wallpaper.” He focuses his eyes past the apps and then stops.

“Wait how long has this been here. Why haven’t I noticed it” The picture had been from a New Year’s party you guys went to with a bunch of friends. The blurry picture captured the two of you mid laugh probably due to the alcohol in your systems having pulled away from a celebratory kiss.

“You never have my phone while it's unlocked,” you shrug ignoring the first question. The moment was captured during the newness of your arrangement, your friends thinking nothing of the moment and were prepared to just use it as drunk blackmail material.

“Ok but-”

“I love you too,” you start and pause. “And who knows why because you are the worst person in the world. You're loud, pretty annoying, rude, cocky-”

“Ok you're killing me here (Y/N). I thought-”

“But. Deep down, there is a part of you who’s not a complete asshole. You want the best for your friends. You make me laugh, a lot. You keep me on my toes and you're passionate. Kinda sexy too. So you’re not all bad.” At this point any tension between the two of you had fully dissipated. All there was left were two young adults grappling with what to do with the confessions.

“Don’t forget that I know how to get ya off”

“Pig Tsumu strikes again.” Despite rolling your eyes you can’t help but nod in agreement. “Is there any chance you’ll be coming home with this pig tonight. I missed ya.” You don’t miss the way his eyes focus in on your lips.

“Me or the sex.” You lean forward on the table noticing he follows your action.

“I don’t know why ya act like we weren’t friends first. So, whaddya say.” Your eyes glance at his own lips, almost willing to give in.

“I say that's the wrong question, love.” You stop right before your lips touch his sitting back in the booth causing him to gawk.

“What do ya mean wrong question. What am i-.”

It's something about the way you eye him that causes him to stop. Almost daring him to ask you. The way he chuckles indicates what you really want from him.

“You could ask me ya know. I did confess first after all”

“You're the one that fucked up in the first place Atsumu. Which we still have to talk about later-.

The feel of his body now seated next to yours and lips pressed to your ear causes you to shiver. “Alright then. (Y/N). will ya be my girlfriend” The sentence is punctuated with a kiss to the spot right under your ear, before he brings his hand to your jaw forcing you to look at him.

“That the right question baby?” His words almost mask the nervousness swimming in his eyes, and the fact that he’s nervous despite knowing the answer causes your heart to swell.

“Yes” You capture him in a hug first and before you press your lips against his-

“Hell yeah. Tsum Tsum got his girl.”

“You're so good to me.” The bobbing of your head slows and atsumu loosens the grip he had on your hair. A calloused hand trails to your cheek gesturing you to crawl up the bed. “My pretty baby took me so well. Even swallowed for me. C’mere'' The hazy words were met with lips roughly pressing against yours. His tongue waited no time before pushing its way into your mouth. A jolt of pleasure shot through you as he lightly sucked on your tongue, tasting himself on you. You feel him twitch as your underwear covered crotch brushes against him.

Pulling away you left him breathless as you eye his neck met with the faintest tint of the hickey that had previously been there. One that you didn’t put there. A gentle squeeze along your waist caught your attention. “Whaddya thinkin’ about.” His question is ignored as you began to place open mouthed hisses along the side of his neck. You smirk at his groan as you bite down on the skin. Your hands card through his hair tugging the strands to give yourself better access. After soothing the skin with your tongue for the nth time you pull away to look at your handiwork.

“Jealous?” Your boyfriend’s eyes are amused.

“Just this once,” you accompany the sentence with a kiss pressed directly on the mark, hands now resting on his chest

“(Y/N) admitted being jealous. I really did grow on ya huh.” You groan in annoyance as you both laugh. He unfortunately did.

“I am sorry about that though,” his hands slide down to the back of your thighs, pulling you closer.

“Atsumu, actually apologizing? I’m surprised.”

“I’m a changed man when I’m in love.”

The sound of a light slap on his chest sounds the room. “Don’t get sappy on me. Its fuckin weird.” Atsumu can’t help but laugh. He pecks your lips before his hand roughly claps against your ass. The sting is immediate and forces an embarrassingly loud moan out of you. The offending hands rubs at the stinging skin as Atsumu’s voice drops dangerously.

“Is that why you wanted it rough tonight baby.” The words come out as a statement, as he recalls the quick conversation you two had as soon as you two entered.

“M’gonna make love to you tonight baby, You want that.” Atsumu’s voice came out deep in between the kisses on your neck. His arms had you held up against the wall. His hips pressed into yours and you could feel the growing bulge.

“Don’t go slow. I want you” You groaned out. You felt a smile against your neck as he looked you directly in the eyes.

“My pretty girl wants me that bad huh.” The condescending words sent a jolt of pleasure down you. His hand comes to meet your throat forcing you to look at him, the lightest of pressure there. The softness in his eyes contradicts his actions.

“I love you.”

Atsumu feels the bed dip beside him, as you climb back in immediately easing under his waiting arm, legs tangled between his. You feel a kiss on the crown of your head as his hand rubs lightly up and down your arm. “You have fun?” Raising your head you look at him weirdly.

“I just went to pee weirdo.” The air still reeks of sex and for once he ignores your comment.

“This is different.” You can't help but nod. The two of you never cuddled after sober sex. Any time you’d stay the night the two of you always slept on your respective sides, or we’re still buzzing off alcohol. It felt too raw and intimate. Cuddling like that would have opened a jar of feelings either of you were willing to acknowledge at the time.

“But it's nice though right?”

The two of you sit in silence for a few moments before you sit up.

“Atsumu, can you stop acting weird about this. We’ve both wanted this for who knows how long so you can go back to you. Say some dumb shit I’m begging.”

That seems to get to him because before you know it his stupid smirk is back on his face. “I thought I had a shitty personality.” You feel yourself rolling your eyes but smiling nonetheless.

“You do. But I like it better than quiet and weird you.” This time you opt for draping your legs over his, your hand going up to play with his damp hair. “You need a shower.” The mention of that has him practically dragging you into the bathroom with him.

“Hey ya know that picture we took a while ago?. The one I have as my wallpaper,” you nod as you dry your freshly washed face.

“What if i sent it to that scrub that stood you up.” You tighten the towel around your body as you actually bother to face him.

“Why?”

You feel him shrug before his arms come around your waist, head bending to rest his head on your shoulder. “No reason. Just as a thank you for screwing up and telling him that he’ll never get to know how nice and sweet your pussy tastes.” Atsumu lets out a gasp as you drive your elbow back into his stomach.

“Fucking pig.” He then lets out a laugh as he watches your scowl from the mirror before putting his hands up in defeat. Right before he exits the bathroom you speak. “But, go ahead.”

That night while you’re sleeping he types in the number you’d given him into his phone before scrolling his camera roll. As he comes across the picture he’s looking for he types away.

‘Thanks for standing (Y/N) up tonight. Appreciate you for helping me get my girl. Unfortunately you should lose her number and live with the fact that this will never be you ;)’

Hey battle of bands au anon here! Thank you sooo much for the advice , I've decided to choose all might because I dont want my fic to be too angsty or plot heavy. I also realised afo can be a very complex character to write and I dont think I can pull that off in my first fic. Also I love the approach you're taking on AFO in stringmaster , it is currently one of my favs!

I haven't read all your fics (yet) but as far as I have read I dont think endeavor has had a major role in any of your fics but if you have any advice on his characterisation then I'd love that. I want this fic to be more fluffy with just a little angst so I dont want to make endeavor as horrible as canon. He's still obsessed with his children (shoto and dabi) being number 1 but I guess not as horrible to his family. Basically I'm stuck at a scene where endeavor has to react to dabi being ranked 2nd in a pleasantly surprising way but not completely out of character. Idk if that made any sense or not I feel like I'm having trouble putting things into words.

Anyways thanks for the advice and if you have any regarding this scene pls help a girl out lol

Ha ha, glad to hear it helped out! And yeah, he can be, hell I’d say Tomura can also be very tricky to write given his complexity. But def. AFO is up there as well.

Stringmaster AFO is fun (and challenging) to write, because it’s this...weird contradiction, where he does understand emotions and how humans work in theory, but lacks the ability to sort instinctively realize these things himself. Basically meaning he both gets and doesn’t get it.

Almost everything needs to be conscious choices to him for the most part, rather than just knowing how to react in situations where empathy is needed.

But enough about that!

Yeah, I don’t use Endeavor a whole lot in my fics other than being the bad father he is in canon, because...tbh I find his character pretty boring? Like his most interesting parts are basically plot device stuff to have an impact/act as motivation for more important/interesting characters. (I.E Dabi and Shoto) Without those he’s just...kinda generic prideful grumpy guy? He just doesn’t really stand out to me from any other hero outside the bad parenting.

It probably bothers me more/is more noticeable than it would with other mangas I’ve read, because he gets contrasted against well-written and complex characters like many of the villains, or if I have to pick a hero example, Aizawa and Toshinori.

(To be fair, I have this issue with a lot of the hero side characters, they feel really underdeveloped/one-dimensional to me a lot of times. I get you can’t flesh out every single one of your hundreds of characters properly, but sometimes even more central focused hero characters feel underdeveloped to me, IDK)

....I better cut this rant short and get back on topic about the actual question haha

I feel like I’d probably need more context of what is going on to give proper useful tips, but the first thing that comes to mind would probably be him doing kind of a backhanded compliment or so, where he expresses that Dabi did good job but also still make him feel like it’s not enough? IDK how to demonstrate that exactly tho.

I think the best example I can offer is Stringmaster AFO, now that he was brought up? Like the birth of Mon-chan comic I made, (here in case you dunno what I’m talking about) where he compliments Tomura about his achievement, but then casually tells him he could scrap it and try again because it wasn’t perfect. In his mind he was stating a fact, but it comes off pretty cold, especially to a kid who’s looking for his approval.

Something along those lines could work with Endeavor too, though obviously his delivery would have to be more exaggerated and aggressive, because he’s not suave/well-mannered (or lessay pretentious) like AFO lmao

Also I think to make it feel in character someone would probably have to point out to him that he needs to be more encouraging and supportive, because a prideful dude like him’s gonna struggle being able to figure it out himself. So it’d be like “good comment, bad comment, gets scolded and tags on another good comment clumsily” or something.

IDK if any of that helps, but I tried at least. Either way I’m looking forward to reading your fic someday if you manage to write it. Who knows, maybe you’ll get some fanart for it too C;

Winx Club Season 8 Thoughts Part 1

Here I am! The latest season of Winx. Can’t believe I made it here (especially after I sped through seasons 6 and 7). I am kinda excited about this because I am finally getting to watch the second part (I have seen the first one) and I think that after season 7, it really can’t get that much worse. Also, I am now used to the idea of the art style even if I still despise it completely and passionately. So let’s do this!

8x01:

- Who thought this art style was a good idea? And why did they have to bring the band back? That was so unnecessary. But at least the song in the opening isn’t bad.

- So... Bloom is the main vocalist but they just leave Musa to write all the songs? Didn’t think that could get more unfair and yet it did. Also, love how they changed the art style but Stella is still acting as immature as she has since season 4.

- Kiko is actually being acknowledged in the second minute? Please, tell me that will last after the lumens.

- Oh, wow, the plot is already starting? I am actually pleasantly surprised. Took them only two minutes.

- Ugh, not Obscurum! Pleaaaaaase!

- Lumenia is the star that lights Solaria? Does that mean it is the first sun of Solaria? Okay... That’s actually kinda cool.

- Oh, great! The one with all the info has amnesia! But actually, that might be a good idea because not everything is convenient for damn once! Edit: And Timmy and Tecna are back to being inventors! *happy sob*

- The memories of Twinkly actually looked pretty scary and traumatic. I can’t believe I am saying this but this season is doing a decent job so far and even more than that.

- I was gonna say that that was quick but the thing actually reappeared. That’s... pretty nice. Could be used to such a great advantage! And it was actually Stella’s spell that worked and not Bloom’s? They gave up on their obsession with Bloom to make this make sense? Um, yes, please?

- Flora has a plant that takes care of other plants? Omg, that is so cool! And we’re finally seeing her care for the plants in her room again! This season is already better than seasons 6 and 7 combined.

- Stella could just use magic to shrink down that enormous suitcase.

- Omg, they’re spending time with their boyfriends again instead of just screeching at them for no reason whatsoever? Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- Why are Winx mad that the Specialists didn’t tell them about Riven? What would it have changed? They still would have been shocked. And why the hell is Musa yelling at Riven? They broke up! He doesn’t owe her a schedule of his every waking moment! I hate this reaction.

- Why... are the outfits gonna let them travel in space? I mean, can you imagine how cool they could have looked in spacesuits?

- Wow, that’s a lot of pink. But that IS the Winx aesthetic to differer from the aesthetic shown in you-know-what.

- Why is the queen ruler of all the stars and not just of Lumenia? Otherwise, the star lore is pretty cool. I have to say that the whole thing with the rivers reminds of the Underworld a lot which is an interesting parallel to dwell on.

- Stella is pretty amazing in this already indeed!

- Oh, the crystal monsters. I remember those. They were really annoying. And I am not a fan of the upcoming transformation upgrade.

- Did the Specialists follow them there? Not the most unshady thing they’ve done but at least they’re helping. Also, I would like to point Netflix’ attention to the way their weapons look! Take a close look!

- OH MY GOD! Someone had a smart idea here! They are actually handling themselves even though their powers aren’t all that effective! Riven is saving Musa and being awesome! This is good enough to make me cry, wtf?

- Ooh, damn! Love the way Valtor’s mark showed up and how actually bothered by it they acted! That was cool and really created a good atmosphere!

- They saved the river AND they actually talked about the sneaking around in a (mostly) mature manner? And they resolved the conflict? RIVEN IS COMMUNICATING?????? This season is a fucking treat so far! Except for Musa being a goddamn primadonna!

- Valtor’s new design is also pretty close to his original one and yet... just NOT. IT!

- Cosmix time. Okay, the visuals are actually quite pretty (I especially love the fact that they look transparent at first; I have a feeling there’s a nice symbolism to this but I’ll have to think about it a bit more). The song isn’t bad either but it’s a little repetitive,

- They probably could have done better with the name than “star yummies” but it isn’t quite so bad. I mean, we’ve seen worse and this is pretty minor considering that they’re doing pretty well with almost everything else (so far and I hope I am not jinxing this).

8x03:

- Okay, the name sounds dumb but it’s accurate.

- I have to say that I saw the twist with Obscurum coming even if I was only clicking through the episodes when I first watched this but now I want to see if it was foreshadowed. Him saying he wants to rule Lumenia still isn��t enough foreshadowing but it does raise the question of why Lumenia specifically so it’s headed in the right direction at least.

- Nice move, Stella! And, omg, did Flora just use something that’s not vines? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am getting really hyped up over here.

- They’re thinking! They’re actually instantly adapting to the problems that they are facing! Man, this is even better than season 1! HOW? Not that I care. Just don’t let it stop!

- So Valtor is actually using starlight to buff himself on a magical level? And in season 1 they said that starlight was the purest source of magic (4kids). Is this... continuity between the first and the latest season??????? I am literally tearing up over here because I never believed this moment would come but it has and it is beautiful!

- Not a fan of the Valtor and Obscurum dynamic because it is just... a big no again, just like his working relationship with the Trix (except I can’t decide if this is worse because Obscurum is afraid or if s3 was worse because Valtor was leading the Trix on about *gags* you know (don’t make me say it)). Love the castle in the stars, though! So cool (even if it is also so very impractical).

- Man, Twinkly really is just a stand-in for the pixies, isn’t she? Same bravery and complete and utter uselessness balance.

- Stella is fucking shining and I am loving it! But did Obscurum just say “erase them”? You mean... this has actual stakes? And Bloom’s projection of the Dragon Fire makes sense because Cosmix is light-based? Musa is using an attack that basically acts like an earthquake except without the damage aka... safe for usage? I am going to pass out from happiness. Like, you don’t even know.

- THEY ACTUALLY LOST?????? And they are not giving up but... coming up with a plan???? That is smart??????????????????? I am in love with this season for now.

- They powered the core! And that will now cause Valtor to make a shift in his strategy! This season is actually dynamic! Goddamit, yes!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

- Obscurum to Valtor: “Something more intimate? You, me...” ... Why is he hitting on him? Bleh. But damn! The trap dimension has so much potential!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- Oh, song time. Goodie. Why is Obscurum acting like he has the dancing plague? And, for fuck’s sake, why am I getting Christian Grey vibes from Valtor? Ugh! *shudders* Please, no! But he is actually taking Winx seriously and coming up with countermeasures? Um, yes, I will take that!

- Ugh, why are they having classes again?! I hate that part!

- Sky, you know where they were! But I actually kinda like the change to have Bloom be the one that doesn’t have time for dating instead of having her sulking over Sky being a prince and having royal duties the whole time.

- What do you mean that Griselda doesn’t know what is going on? This is not Griselda!

- Tecna, watch what you’re putting in your damn potion! I know Musa fucked up but you could have checked what she handed you!

- Aww, Tecna throwing a dance party to cheer Musa up was so cute! And look at Stella dragging all that luggage up the stairs on her own! She is precious (and devoted to fashion but this time in a not so annoying manner... so far.)

- Dammit, why is Obscurum the first thing I see?

- Okay, it’s pretty cute how excited Bloom is. And all the rest of Winx helping Sky while at the same time judging him for not being better for Bloom and putting more effort in it. This is just the dynamic! I love it!

- Musical food? What the hell, Musa?! But lmao at the Sky and Flora moment there. And Musa and Layla’s reaction to his words. But he was right. Flora was the only one being useful.

- What picnic under the stars? There are no stars! It’s the middle of the day!

- Oh, why the drama now? Bloom also forgot their date in the previous episode because of her mission. Sky is doing the exact same rn! Hypocrisy much?

- “Your Great Malevolence” and “Your Vileness”? I don’t like Obscurum but his decorum is amusing at the very least.

- But if a star has to be attacked before it will alert them that they need to go there, they won’t be one step ahead of Valtor. They might be able to catch up with him but they are still one step behind him.

- A moving star. That was actually a cool idea although I am not sure how the hell that is supposed to work.

- Why have those lumens never heard of music? But damn, I am actually happy that they made the band plot relevant (for all of 3 seconds). At least make it have some purpose.

- At least Bloom actually also supported Sky while attacking him. She is literally the definition of mixed signals here but that’s better than her just being plain mad.

- Can they use the music to capture the star yummies in a trance? That would be nice and it would justify having the band in this season.

- Stella is having the time for a selfie while actually being super effective and handling that part of the mess on her own? Yes, please! Where was that in the previous seasons?!

- The thief is not “trying” to attack. He is attacking! But damn, Brandon made some good moves there! Are you telling me that we actually get to see the Specialists doing their own missions again plus a really cute parallel between Brandon and Stella? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it!

- They’re being pulled in a black hole? Holy shit! This season is actually getting intense! And it makes sense? I am shooketh! Can Stella save them with her light, though?

- Oh, nvm! They’re gonna do it together. Eh, that still works I guess.

- The Specialists were really working as a team here and I have missed seeing that so much! It’s great to have the show acknowledge them again. It could have only been better if they didn’t look like first graders.

8x05:

- Oh, now the whole starship is being pulled into the black hole? That is actually cool! They are maintaining the tension for more than three seconds and they are showing how things actually function? Well, there’s a big surprise.

- I am glad that they are actually solving this but why couldn’t Stella generate stardust herself? She is the fairy of the sun, the moon and the stars. It would have been really interesting to see her do that and this season’s theme is right up her alley.

- Valtor’s failure is kinda amusing. But I feel a little bad about Obscurum because he literally has to walk on eggshells around Valtor. No one should have to be put through anxiety like that.

- Ooh, zero gravity plus invisibility device? That is so cool!

- I wish Bloom and Sky would have talked about their little drama with the surprise, especially because there was no need for it since the delay actually helped make things even better and much more romantic. And I am also not all that sold on the Beauty and the Beast vibes I am getting from this.

- Why is Musa acting like that again? Riven is trying to be supportive and take interest in her music. I know that he ran away but obviously something happened.

- Good thing that Riven is being competent while the rest are busy partying. He did pretty well considering that he just intercepted a planned heist and he wasn’t prepared.

- Aren’t you supposed to drift in space instead of fall as if there’s gravity?

- I am a little done with the ship being threatened yet again because it can’t move without the stupid core but I really want to see how Winx are gonna save it now that the ruby is stolen.

- Maybe if they try something else other than generic blasts they may be able to defeat it.

- Valtor was the one that summoned the black hole? And he is getting low on magic juice? That kinda makes sense now that he doesn’t have Dragon Fire anymore.

- O-kay. That strategy was semi logical. Not the best they have done but it could have been worse.

- Selfish? He is trying to save a whole planet! It wasn’t like he was stealing it for the money! No, I get it that his actions weren’t okay but Musa is being a bitch to everyone. And what she just said to Riven. She is refusing to give him a second chance but is acting like she’s the one who is making all the compromises here!

8x06:

- Why wouldn’t he be allowed on Eridia? Oh, he really fucked up the core.

- Oh, shut the fuck up, Orion! It is your fault it didn’t work because you were the one who broke the core and now it can’t hold the light!

- Flora is really rooting (whoops) for abandoning the core. Nice one! How the fuck does she think to save the plants without fucking light?!?!?!?!

- Can I throw Orion in the black hole? HE is the one who fucked the whole thing up because he didn’t know what he was doing and now he is yelling at them that they don’t have a plan! Even though they agreed to help him instead of throwing him in jail!

- At least Valtor is adapting to the situation on the go and coming up with new strategies. But Orion is such a fool. He is desperate but why didn’t he consider the question of why the hell Valtor would care? Obviously he has beef with Winx which puts him at the not-so-trustworthy column.

- Man, Riven is right. Orion is a damn actor and very good at playing them. That isn’t his problem, of course, but the Winx’. I just wish Musa would think instead of pout the whole time.

- Shut up about the goddamn plants, Flora! You can’t save them in any longterm way without fixing the core of the planet first!

- DO NOT make “starsome” a thing. It sounds ridiculous. It doesn’t even make sense!

- Riven is actually discussing how he feels with the other Specialists? And they’re having fun (even if it is at his expense)? Why does Musa refuse to see how much he’s changed? I hate the way they are just trying to make more stupid drama!

- You do not look like big lumens to me but okay. Twinkly has a serious crush on her friend, doesn’t she?

- Yes, we all know that Tecna is a genius. And that is why she doesn’t become pray to stupid love drama when there is no reason for any!

- How the hell was Stella supposed to know if it will actually be safer? She said it looked safer! There is a difference! Also, they are only now wondering why Orion left them on their own!

- Now you guys are screwed! But wtf, why did Tecna just covere her eyes instead of... trying to do something like the rational person that she actually is! And you have to love how they only had Flora and Stella arguing so that they will have to come together to save the rest giving the illusion that they are actually undergoing some development. But hey! An episode without a musical number!

8x07:

- What is this now? Are they trying to make us sympathize with Orion by showing some remorse on his part? It is not working!

- They made Obscurum a cheerleader? He seems to be suffering from Stockholm Syndrome, though he is not exactly a prisoner or hostage of Valtor’s. But still. There is some kind of similar vibes.

- Cool! They revealed that the star yummies are actually corrupted lumens. That was a pretty clever idea, not gonna lie. And it is totally on brand for Valtor which is also great.

- Well, I don’t see you, lumens, fixing the fucking core yourselves so you might wanna start appreciating the fact that they’re trying! They didn’t know the core was broken and wouldn’t hold the Cosmix light!

- And how do you plan on saving them, Orion? You have no idea what you’re up against and you just betrayed the only people that cared about helping you!

- Why is Twinkly not being corrupted like all the other lumens? They are different in some way that was never explained but it was already implied that the corruption works on ALL of the lumens! So what gives? Except obvious plot convenience, of course.

- So Flora actually tried something else and didn’t go for the vines at all? I am shocked... but appreciative!

- Why aren’t the plants answering? Are they too dead for words? But that spell was actually pretty cool! They made a little sun that also has nature powers added to it to shine on all of the plants at once! That was so clever and actually pretty creative! I love it!

- The nature defeating technology theme is a little misplaced I would say considering the way they fix the problem with the broken cores of the stars later on.

- Wait! Winx were transformed when the robot caught them. Why did they have to transform again and when did the transformations disappear?

- They didn’t actually fight the thing! So far their powers have been used very little for actual battle and a lot more in creative ways to restore the balance of the stars. That actually makes a lot of sense since that was what the Cosmix was for! I like it!

- Did they just make a magical sun out of Stella’s powers by boosting her energy? This was awesome!

- Why did they think Orion was the one that changed the lumens? They know that Valtor is the one working with Obscurum and commanding them! That was such a stupid guess and for what? To give Obscurum some kind of “witty” line for his entrance?

- Orion does have cool inventions but for being a genius creator he is being a fucking dumbass! Oh, now you want to be “united” with them. After you almost got them killed and your planet fucked over big time.

- Musa is gonna give Orion a third chance but she’s gonna keep being a bitch to Riven, huh?

- Wizgiz’ redesign is giving me nightmares. Why is he teaching them something that they have been doing literally since season 2 and just did not three minutes ago?!?!?!?! And why are Knut and Kiko painting the yard pink? Really? Just so that Winx can show what they have learned even though they’ve known it for about seven years now?!?!?!?!

- Submarine star? That sounds rocking. But wait, they are using Sirenix in the next ep? Why don’t I remember that? I have watched this... I think. Yes, I have. I remember the stupidity and Nex and Layla having a moment. So why don’t I remember Sirenix?

8x08:

- I thought Valtor was on the scene and then it turned out he was just in an illusion. *sigh* And why can’t he just go himself? He is not doing anything this season. Just sitting on his ass and bossing Obscurum around. It’s just... not Valtor at all. And what’s this obsession with fucking up Andros every goddamn time he shows up?

- Aww, Winx are being so adorable and supportive! Nex, too, though that is OOC. But I can’t understand why Layla didn’t just pick up the phone and tell Nex that she needs him to stop calling so that she can focus. What is so hard about that?

- I like this version of Stella’s fashion obsession. It feels a lot more natural and isn’t overtaking the whole group and the show.

- Well, they didn’t ruin Theredor and Niobe’s designs! That’s something. And Ligea looks pretty much the same as well. I don’t understand why they felt the need to fuck up Winx and the Specialists’ designs but okay.

- Why are they making Layla unable to remember three sentences? She can do much more than that and she has always been the most capable one of Winx and an exemplary princess.

- Oh, so they already mentioned that the queen’s brother disappeared exactly when Valtor showed up (How tf does she even know that? The flashback that was shown later plus the fact that no one seemed to know Valtor was back before Winx saw his mark in 8x02 contradict that.). That and Obscurum saying he wants to rule Lumenia plus Valtor’s obvious knack for corrupting and changing everyone that’s working for him, spill it all out.

- Pretty sure no one at that party cares about Twinkly but whatevs. As long as she isn’t on screen to be annoying.

- Nex transformation time!

- Sirenix is back (never has that ever happened before) and I hate the redesign even more than the original. Didn’t think it was possible. They have also fucked up the transformation sequence and made it more boring. Nice move!

- Why is Layla refusing to talk? Coming forth about her feelings is gonna make it better. I like that Nex is actually being sensitive here even if he never naturally changed to become like that and they are just writing him wildly OOC. But he was so much of an asshole that I prefer this tbh.

- How the fuck do Sirenix powers have no effect on “a creature of darkness”? They went on the Sirenix Quest to defeat Tritanus who was definitely a creature of darkness! The writers don’t even know what they’re saying anymore. At least they left Winx handling the shark even if their powers aren’t working on it. If they’d sent Nex after it and Winx after Obscurum, it would have been too convenient.

- I like the fact that they managed when their magic was useless against the enemy. At least the writers are being a little more creative in the battles by making them rely more on strategy rather than on their powers. I can accept generic blasts and beams if the idea is that that makes their magic so useless that they need to find a creative solution.

- Nex is rooting for teamwork? He really has changed. I just wish they would have shown that instead of just jumping the gun like that.

8x09:

- Why didn’t they try trapping the star yummies in a morphix net? Or something that Tecna made with her magic? Or figured out a way to close the portals that let the star yummies come and go?

- They’re gonna make THAT a problem? Breathing underwater without Sirenix? Not like Layla has been able to breathe underwater continuously throughout seasons 2-5 without the need for Sirenix. AND she also taught the others how to perform the spell. This is such a non-problem.

- They also changed the Sirenix spells, didn’t they?

- They have been in tougher predicaments. I hate how they keep making Layla despair without a reason because she has always had a damn fighting spirit.

- Oh, look! It’s the anemone stupidity. And how is Stella supposed to wake up when she is under the influence of the anemone sting? You could try a spell if you want to wake her up, Flora!

- You’d think the lumens of Andros would know their fucking princess!!!!!

- What was the big idea with rushing out of the cave if Layla didn’t have a plan? Also, she was the one that figured out the anemones attacked when they were provoked, yet she kept attacking. Stop fucking attacking them! It’s only making things worse! Jeez, it’s not so hard to figure out that you shouldn’t antagonize them.

- So the Andros lumens sing but the Peripla ones have never heard of the existence of music? Pretty damn solid. Also, they just sang the same melody the whole time even after Layla asked them for something extra beautiful.

- How the hell did she fill the morphix with air? Did she pull all the water out in the morphix shielding and only left the oxygen atoms inside to make up oxygen molecules? This somehow doesn’t seem normal but anyway.

- So what unspelled the shark? The light of Gorgol? The living star? The starfish star? They are really starting to fuck up this season.

- Love how they never said how many years old Andros is becoming!

- Why did they make the trap dimension look like a pinball machine? What was up with that? And why did Gravity Falls do it so much better?

8x10:

- So now Alfea is having an anniversary as well? And why the fuck is Twinkly only asking now about the meaning of anniversary when they already were at the anniversary party on Andros? And they really made “starsome” a recurring slang? I hate it.

- Why is Faragonda letting the students organize the anniversary? Also, not a fan of how these latest seasons are making Griselda and Faragonda look not so fond of each other. They definitely felt a lot more in sync in the first seasons.

- Lmao, love how Winx are roasting themselves. But I cannot believe that no one has said anything about Helia’s ugliest haircut... yet. They couldn’t have possibly fucked it up more after the season 4 disaster and they somehow did! Fucking spectacular! And why is Riven wearing a scarf? When the fuck have you seen Riven with a scarf? This is ridiculous!

- Love the way Flora and Helia just decided that they will be matchmakers now! But I do think that they should first try figuring out why Musa can’t forgive Riven before deciding she will trust him.

- Why didn’t Twinkly just sit on Riven’s shoulder instead of plopping herself down right on top of the controls? The zero gravity dancing was actually pretty cute but Musa could have tried just dancing with Riven. Or at least they could have said something about why she feels like she can’t even dance with him (because she feels him unfamiliar anymore or something).

- Hypsos looks so very familiar but I can’t place it. Reminds a little of Amentia’s kingdom tbh.

- I cannot believe that the Twinkly and Lumila storyline will actually have a bearing on the real plot. How did they manage? Though, I suppose I should be happy about that.

- Turning a constellation into an actual monster was a damn good idea! Although, the writers sort of implied that Valtor has the power level of a god which has not been supported by the narrative. He was such a stronger villain in season 3.

- So... what did they do? Did they send the Hydra through the portal that the star yummies use? I actually remember it being a bigger threat and harder to defeat. Is this really the end?

- Oh, look! They can reverse the star yummy corruption with the power of love! Cut to the wedding (of Twinkly and Lumila).

- I said wedding, not a fucking concert!

- Musa, I don’t even know you anymore! Since when doesn’t she want to be the center of attention! She was literally mad at him because he hadn’t called aka paid her attention! Besides, she’s a singer (which you couldn’t fucking guess from the fact that Bloom is the goddamn vocalist!). What do you mean that he exposed her? Those are just some outlined images projected! She is a lot more exposed when she sings on stage! This is so goddamn stupid! Season 2 Musa would never.

- And why are they making Flora and Helia fuck up their own sync over Musa and Riven? They should just not meddle and keep their own relationship in harmony!

- I am so glad we’re getting rid of Obscurum soon. I have had it with him! “Go undercover as one of [Winx]”? What the actual fuck?!

- Why is the trap dimension a goddamn gaming universe? They are truly wasting its potential! And why not just shove Winx in there?!

- Flora and Helia have never had a disagreement before? Come again? And now she’s saying they never even had different opinions on anything? That is so totally healthy, you know. And the implication that that is how a relationship should be. Wow! Fucking spectacular move!

- Just don’t make Winx fight over the Flora and Helia situation! And that was a perfect example of why they don’t need to agree on everything.

- At first I agreed with the opinion I have seen floating around that the emogix are too specific but this is the Magic Dimension. They have teleportation. What is so hard to believe that they have code that can quickly animate specific actions with pre-coded visual parameters about every separate object in the animation?

- I want to see Griselda react to that fireworks explosion!

- That was the big talk? At least they said that disagreements are not inherently bad but still. This was just a damn non-closure to a damn non-problem.

- Well, Obscurum’s plan isn’t so bad but Winx have already not been welcomed by lumens. It isn’t so original.

- Why are Knut and Kiko coming along all of a sudden? Oh, that’s right! Because those lumens are ogres like Knut. How convenient!

- I don’t know what’s so hard to understand about the fact that the lumens obviously believe that Winx have come to steal their treasure and that is why they’re attacking them.

- Tecna needed an analysis to tell that the lumens think they’re enemies and want to steal their treasure? They said that! REPEATEDLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- Was the core broken accidentally or on purpose? I missed that part but I don’t think that Valtor has caught on to the fact that breaking the cores will make it much harder for Winx to save the stars. Also, why did he never try to steal the Cosmix light that the Winx put in the dark cores? That would have been an interesting plan!

- Well, Convenient Knut is being awfully convenient! As was planned.

- So now the crystal is actually gonna serve as a core? Wow, what a cop-out.

- You’re telling me that Obscurum was actually the one that thought of the idea of breaking the cores on purpose? This season is really doing Valtor dirty. I just... I can’t watch. Why do they have to be like that?

- Also, he’s only now figuring out he needs to get rid of Bloom? He had that figured out at the beginning of season 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

8x12:

- A wishing star that hasn’t been seen in almost a 1000 years? And he needs Cosmix to get near? How is enhancing his powers going to get him closer to the star if the problem is his darkness? What, is Cosmix gonna conceal his dark powers? Somehow, that doesn’t make sense. But damn, at least this thing is protected from dark powers so that malevolent wishes won’t be made.

- Bloom has her priorities in check and Sky comes third? After Vanessa and the mission? That is a nice change of pace, actually.

- Why doesn’t Bloom just use her goddamn magic?! It would have been so much easier! It’s hers! It’s not like she is forbidden to use it.

- Lmao, Obscurum is acting as if Valtor actually cares about him. And he thinks he’s evil? Wow, that’s cute.

- Is it me or does Vanessa look so much thinner than she used to? Not a fan of that.

- You’re telling me Bloom never made an album for her parents before? But I love the fact that they are sharing and Bloom tells them that she loves home more than anything. That was actually something that the show could have used about 4 seasons ago.

- Why do the Earth lumens look like Roman soldiers?

- Anyone else feel like the transformation of the star yummies into bigger entities is legit based on Pokemon evolution? It really operates the exact same way Pokemon evolution does.

- They’re mentioning the queen’s brother again? In what is not foreshadowing but a plainly obvious non-twist.

- Musa is really disgusted by the star yummies? They actually look pretty cute and fluffy to me. Kinda cuter than the lumens even. Not to mention that they can face monsters and whatnot but they can’t make themselves touch the star yummies? Some Guardian Fairies you are!

- Valtor feels like a nervous teenager about to introduce himself to his crush. What the hell were they thinking?

- I like the designs of the dark giants where the writings on them are concerned. They look like rune rings around their torsos and arms and I actually love the idea of that.

- The scene with Bloom and her parents was pretty good. I love the way she compartmentalized the situation and managed to be on all the fronts she needed to be on even if she had to ask for backup to do it. It was awesome!

- Valtor finally decided to show the fuck up! Halfway through the season! Love how Stella is sassing him! A little surprised that he knows her name, though.

- I don’t think that hugging that last form of star yummy evolution is gonna work. Might be a too big concentration of corrupted lumens in order for the hug thing to work.

- Goblin yummies? Oh, no. Stargoyles. Wow. Okay.

- I love the dilemma that Valtor presented! Bloom really can’t be in two places at the same time! I would be very interested (as I was the first time) if I didn’t know how this ended... aka in disappointment.

8x13:

- Backstory time! What the hell do you mean that Valtor’s life force was drifting through the universe? For years? After the Dragon Fire - that literally made up his whole being - was extinguished? And how the hell was he brought back with the power of the stars? Wtf?

- Bloom, it’s really not that hard to figure out that Obscurum is the queen’s brother! I guessed that the first time I watched this and I didn’t even know she had a brother because I had been clicking through the episodes!

- If Obscurum really thinks that being Valtor’s minion is better than being in the shadow of his sister, then she must have fucked up big time! And I mean, really big time!

- So the artificial cores are not supposed to be that small? That is just a prototype.

- I have a question - how fast do the Specialists’ ships travel for example? Because Twinkly says that she’s traveling at the speed of light but I doubt that the tech can go so fast. Aka my train of thought was what if there are planets in the Magic Dimension that are so far from one another that the people can never meet because the tech doesn’t travel fast enough? Since that seems to be the common method of transportation rather than teleportation which could totes solve that problem.

- I really wish someone other than Sky would be protecting Mike and Vanessa. And wasn’t Valtor saying that only he can stop the Stargoyles? “Cause the Specialists just got rid of all of them. At least the dark giants truly seem to be unstoppable.

- I was so hyped when Bloom said she’d give Cosmix to Valtor! It would have been so interesting to see how they would defeat him if he had Cosmix as well. But they just had Cosmix reject him? Because it has sentience apparently? That was such a fucking cop-out! Just commit to your best ideas goddammit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- Why is Twinkly getting the artificial core to the Specialists instead of the other Winx? They need it inside the sun! Not on the surface of the Earth.

- Wtf? Didn’t Bloom send Twinkly towards the Earth? She is inside the Sun! What was that maneuvering?!

- So the dark giants would have been defeated when the sun was fixed anyway? Meaning that Bloom could have chosen to go help Winx and that would have solved the dilemma aka there was no actual dilemma, except she didn’t know that? Man, what a bummer!

- Poor Vanessa. Had her birthday almost completely ruined!

- Wasn’t the queen supposed to be powerless? But that moment was so emotional there! And I love the fact that she acted as an example to the lumens to have them freeing the star yummies and helping them change back. Does that mean that the part with the stars is over for this season, though?

- Not a goddamn concert again! Come on! Dedicate the song to your mom, at the very least!!!!!

- Where is Valtor? This doesn’t look like the castle amongst the stars. What happened? Oh, and you’re telling me he has no more magical energy?

- What the hell do you mean that the Trix have power like the power of the Winx? Icy’s power is literally an opposite of Bloom’s!!!!! What the fuck is that supposed to mean? I have been so confused about this ever since I first watched it over a year ago! But at least the Trix were imprisoned separately this time. Someone in this goddamn universe finally had a smart idea!

The Masked Singer Season 4 Episode 2: Group B kicking it off... with a twist!! Guesses and Commentary

Hello my fellow Masked Singer guys and gals! It's that time of the week again (albeit I am a bit late, but let's go with it), time for Ana's Masked Singer recap woohoo! *insert fanfare here* This episode was such an insane one not gonna lie, Group B came in with a bang like wow... let's just get into it because it's a crazy episode in it of itself.

Firstly, I gotta point out the contestants of Group B, which this time were 6 unlike A and C which only have 5 contestants total.. and those 6 are (order from left to right, top row first then bottom row in the image below) Crocedile, Gremlin (the purple fluffy guy), Seahorse, Whatchamacallit (the blue and red hair cousin It thing), Baby Alien, and Serpent.

Alrighty so this elimination is gonna be a bit different than usual because it isn't the norm of what usually happens with these sorts of things (I'll tell you what I mean in a sec)...

So the first contestant unmasked for Group B actually wasn't eliminated (I know what you are thinking... "whaaatttt Anaaaaa that makes no sense")... but actually he unmasked himself (whatttt?! yeah you read that right, he legit was hot and suffocating and he seemed super over it and just took it off by himself... yup, that happened like what mind blown!

Anyways the mask who did this was...

THE GREMLIN

Performance: He sang Stand by Me by Ben E. King and honestly it was meh, it was really breathy as if he forgot some of the words, I don’t know if he was overcome with emotion (because he dedicated it to his friend who passed away) or what, I felt kind of bad but I low key feel like he was going to go home regardless, but on the bright side I love the costume and it was a great song choice for his range. He has a very raspy voice... like almost like a smoker’s voice and I can kind of tell that he’s an older man, but I couldn’t recognize the singer.

So the Gremlin ended up being revealed to be....

MICKEY ROURKE

Ugh this upsets me because I don’t know who he is so I really couldn’t guess him correctly. I searched it up and apparently he’s an actor and director and was in Iron Man 2, which I’ve never seen like ever. But yeah, he did good, he looked kinda drunk not gonna lie and I guess he was suffocated and got over it.

Alright now that that’s out of the way, let’s get to my favorite part, the remaining 5 contestants:

1. THE SEAHORSE

Performance: I really love Seahorse, she’s one of my favorites of the night and so far in the season in general. Her performance of Rihanna’s Only Girl in the World was amazing and I definitely knew who that voice is...

My guess and I am so sure about this guys is singer, songwriter, American Idol alum...

TORI KELLY

Dude like that voice is so recognizable... but also because of the clues:

Emotion Ocean= she’s super emotional when it comes to songwriting, like she legit said in an interview that she cries a lot

Tea Party= she hosted tea parties with her fans in 2019 (well before all this ofc)

Rainbow Frog= sang Rainbow Connection with Kermit the Frog

Judges’ Guesses:

Jenny: Halsey (say what now? This doesn’t sound like her... is Jenny ok? This episode she’s been messing up with guesses more than Ken... you’ll see what I mean)

Nicole: Hailee Steinfeld (meh, that’s ok I guess, but not quite)

Robin: Bebe Rexha (he was onto something when he said country but then he said this, but this is the closest guess of the 3)

2. THE SERPENT

Performance: This one is my other favorite of this group. His performance of “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)” by The Proclaimers was absolutely stunning, I got chills! If it is who I think it is, I love him (partially because I think I know who it can be)

I think the Serpent can be actor of the iconic Broadway sensation Hamilton aka Aaron Burr, Sir:

Dude like I feel pretty good about this guess because of the voice and the clues:

Map of the Caribbean= reference to the beginning of Hamilton where Alexander Hamilton is from

Jr. References= he’s a jr.

Number 31118 (this was from the Sunday before the premiere but still worth noting)= 3 albums, 11 stage productions, 18 years on Broadway OR bible verse Romans 3:11-18 which was written by Paul, a character he played on Rent

3. THE CROCODILE

Performance: I also really liked Crocodile and his performance of It’s My Life by Bon Jovi was great! I feel like I know who this is, and I am pretty familiar (well, more or less) with 90s and early 2000s boybands and this one is someone in that realm I am so sure of it...

Ok so being more specific, I think it’s boybander from The Backstreet Boys:

NICK CARTER

The voice and the clues were a dead giveaway:

The Vegas vibes in the clue package= he performed in Vegas with Backstreet Boys

Water clues (the water slide and happiest in water)= he was born in Orlando, FL home of the theme parks and FL is also some of the Gators so it would makes sense with the costume

Grew up in Hollywood= moved there when really young

Ken: John Hamm (and he’s back, that was a terrible guess)

Nicole: Nick Lachey (so close, but not quite)

Robin: Donnie Wahlberg (um, Jenny agreed, how does she not know that this ain’t your husband?!)

4. THE WHATCHAMACALLIT

Performance: His performance of “I Wish” by Skee-Lo was good, not my favorite, but I didn’t hate it. I am kind of feeling that it’s an athlete due to the height and also how he speaks.

Performance: His performance of Faith by George Micheals was good too, better than I expected for the costume ngl. I had pretty low expectations but I am pleasantly surprised. He isn’t my favorite by any means and I am also a bit stumped by him especially because of that fake Russian accent, but I am in between 2 people at the moment....

The 2 people I am in between are either Ventriloquist Jeff Dunham or actor

JASON SEGEL

It kinda sounds like him and the clues are a bit confusing but there’s one I understand too:

so, TUA s2 thoughts

I haven’t actually finished it but I’ve got the gist of it lol

I finished it this afternoon! Whoo!

Spoilers under the cut.

So I had a few Big Fears going in. And none of them eventuated. WHOO. Or didn’t eventuate in the ways I was most concerned about.

1. I was scared they’d give Reginald a Redemption Arc TM. They did not. Thank god.

2. I was scared that the sibling interactions would suck. They did not! They were amazing. Glorious. I had to rewind so many to just truly savour them.

3. I was worried about Lila. I mean, she “gets in the way of my ship” but I’m good at ignoring that. Honestly, I kinda dug her.

4. I was worried about the “ewwwww incest” stuff. But they... actually didn’t do it terribly. Luther and Allison still clearly adore each other. It was referenced a number of times and never as an “ewwww”. I really loved that. There were some gorgeous moments and like, as one of my friends said... It seemed like they were trying to sit neutral on the issue. Which I can understand and respect.

5. I was worried about the Kliego interactions. And yeah, we didn’t really get them. BUT as a writer, I definitely felt I got more sand to play with. I’m already working on at least three new ideas and I haven’t even finished the season yet. Also, I definitely am gonna need more Luego, more Biego, and if I ever stop feeling shy, I’ll probs join Electra-XT and achilleees on their Fiego ship. I’m just realising what the common denominator is here but that’s also not a surprise. Diego is my baby and I ship him with everyone.

Things I wasn’t scared about per se, but was pleasantly surprised about:

Allison and Raymond - I went in a bit cautious because it looked like the Alluther was going to be all EWWWW INCEST. But... god, the love that man had for her... He was just wonderful. It was just beautiful. I really genuinely enjoyed them.

The sit-in etc - I was scared about this one, but not in the same way as I was that Reginald would get a redemption arc. I’m a white person, and I’m not from the US so I cannot comment fully on it, but... it seemed like they tried to do a good job with it. I definitely need to read more about race relations in that time period in particular before I can comment effectively. The police brutality was.... brutal. Heart wrenching. And timely given what we’re seeing in the world right now, and have been seeing for far too long. Defund the goddamn police.

Klaus’ hair and outfits - seems inane compared to the last point.... But like. I thought Robbie looked so incredibly hot all season. I miss his goth aesthetic but... damn. He looked so gooooood.

Diego’s hair and outfits - I expected to hate them more than I did. Apparently my rare sexual attraction to him knows no limits because I was so thirsty watching him.

Luther - I was so happy that he was so fucking likeable! I have been on the “we do not insult luther hargreeves in this house” team for quite a while, but I felt that Luther really shone this season. My big, soft, idiot, earnest boy...

Elliot - I rather enjoyed him! RIP.

Some things I was less than thrilled about....

The siblings being mean to Diego : ( - The “Klaus Hargreeves Needs a Hug” tag got a beating last season. I swear, if we don’t get 500 “Diego Hargreeves Gets A Hug” fics, I’m gonna write them all my damn self. I’m also not going “uwu my baby had people be mean to him : (((((” but like. No. No, that.... A lot of it kinda really got me down.

The Ben possessing Klaus stuff - Like. I get it. But I just... Klaus might be annoying but he was pretty : ( at being possessed and like... It felt pretty icky to me. Klaus literally said he felt violated. Ben was all “mwahahaha once you sleep I’m gonna take over your body”. I get why Ben was annoyed and why he wanted to. Doesn’t mean I feel nice about that whole... thing.

The Vanya/Sissy thing - I see a lot of sides of the coin here. I have some friends who were thrilled because they love Vanya being a lesbian, and having representation. But I also saw: stereotyping of what A Lesbian Is, pigeonholing Ellen to only play lesbians. Also, like, I went in cautious, but I was just... .....kinda bored with that storyline? And yeah, I would have preferred to just... you know, not have the amnesia. I liked seeing Vanya be happier, sure, but.. IDK it just didn’t make sense to me from a storytelling perspective.

Lila and Diego - Initially, I quite liked her. As a character, I enjoyed her. My ship aside.... Honestly, it makes me a bit *grimacing emoji* to see some of the stuff we saw. Like, I’m far from someone who thinks ships need to be Good and Pure. But at least some of the stuff I saw between them (such as, IDK, drugging... kidnapping... etc) makes it a bit of a nOTP. Not a FULL nOTP, but like... It definitely went from “awww” and “lolll” to “hmmm, not... not sure this particular pairing is for me personally”.

Things I wasn’t scared about but loved:

FIVE - Good god, Aidan has always been an impressive little fucker but he really stepped it up a notch this season. I loved the way he went psycho. I loved the love he always has for his family. I adored his lines. I adored his vulnerability, the little cracks we really got to see. He loves his family so fucking much T.T

DIEGO - They gave David some really, really good stuff to work with this season and he aced it. He was absolutely sensational. I adore this man. AND HIS POWERS.

KLAUS - Weird thing to be OMG about but... ......I was super there for Robbie’s legs this season... They’re so.. skinny. IDK, it’s weird. But I loved it. I loved his hair. I loved his outfits.

ALLLLLISSONNNNNNN - This woman is perfect. The End.

Misc Thoughts

Damn, given the above, it sounds like I’m all “uwu, all things must be good and pure” and that’s so not my standpoint. But I am team “there needs to be some basic respect both ways”, even for enemies to lovers. So I felt a bit :/ at some of the Horrance stuff and Diego/Lila stuff. Not that I hate them! Just... ....Some of it wasn’t to my taste. But that’s okay, I can ignore a lot of stuff!

I definitely don’t hate the pairings! Rather there were a few things in those pairings that personally didn’t blink as “WHEEEE” for me... But I’ll just ignore those elements and focus on the bits I did like and... YAY!

Overall, honestly, I really loved this season. We needed more Kliego, but I loved the Five and Diego interactions, Diego and Luther... Klaus and Allison... Five and Luther... Just. Just. I was really delighted at so many things we saw.

I thought so many of the interactions just shone. I loved them.

I’ve seen some people be really upset and mad and confused etc, about how the siblings were at the dinner with Reginald. I’ve written my thoughts on it here. TLDR: for someone who has experienced abuse from a parental figure, their responses aligned extremely well with my own experiences.

NGL, Klaus being all “T.T” about being touched all the time was.... good?? IDK, it gave me Ideas TM.

I have fic ideas!!!

It’s weird... I thought this was a really Light and Bright season but I also... Know I felt a lot of T.T and hearthurt. In good ways.

I will never understand how skam italia got so popular that it somehow developed its own breed of stans outside of regular skam/Rm skam stans? Like i literally see other rm stan accounts othe twitter and tumblr complain about how obnoxious skam it stans are

so idk if you were really asking for a breakdown but i’ve been thinking about this a lot recently so im gonna ramble about it for a bit whoops

so it was always inevitable that the remakes would cause divisions within the skam fandom and i think that’s important to kept in mind. there were divisions when there was only the 1 show! the chaos of 8 was a given lol. so not only would there be people that preferred one remake over another but there was also the immediate division between fans of og who didn’t even wanna touch a remake with a 10 foot pole and og fans that were watching the remakes

so the first rounds of remakes start (skamfr, skamit, druck, and skamus) and there was a lot of excitement and disappointment happening because we were all excited for new content but simultaneously disappointed that the content wasn’t new enough. that s1 was the same exact story across them all. skam france came first and it really set the bar real low. it felt to many like a cheap copycat. it had some fun stuff here and there and the cast was doing a decent job but overall with the constant promise of “change” from the production/cast that never followed through a lot of people quickly got tired of it. by the time s1 was almost over druck and skam italia began to air and a little bit later skam austin starts. right here i think it’s important that s2 of skam france was airing for a majority of the time these others were on since s2 is the season that’s the most “either you love it or you hate it”

a number of people gave up on skamfr either not feeling it/refusing to watch s2/whatever and moved on to the other remakes. i think it’s really important to note that at this time skamit was the only version that was changing “william” in any substantial way. druck only changes at the very end and it’s only the fact that he apologized to kiki on his own but edoardo had been introducing small deliberate changes to his character throughout the season. this gained interest from both noorhelm fan and anti noorhelm people because it was new! and different! compared to the other version not changing much for this storyline and skamfr airing a basic copy of s2 this was an exciting development! it was something that intrigued more og fans

of course you have to remember that everyone thought all the remakes were gonna be terrible. they were all a lost cause from the very beginning. people that were enjoying the remakes were already having to be defensive against og fans who hated the remakes just for enjoying them. skamfr was already kinda a dud, skamus had too much hype and pressure on it since it was the one julie was working on to really live up to that, and druck was falling to the wayside from poor production decisions (going on break for a week within the first month without telling anyone ?!?? really ?!?) skamit s1 did seem to be the best produced, with some interesting character changes, and a nice aesthetic. it quickly became the one most people recommended to others. new person asks “which remake should i watch?” and the first answer would almost always be skamit. italians were all pleasantly surprised by the show which made them want to spread it even more. like “look finally some good italian television!” the actors are good and not super overdramatic! the shots are nice and pretty! everyone on the cast is so pretty! rome is so pretty!

but what made this turn into the skamit fans being their own “separate” fandom? well if you go back through all the #discourse you can see all the number of time skamit fans have had to defend the fact that they liked skamit and that in itself will limit you down to the kind of people are always on the defense. who feel like they have to talk about all the great amazing things to feel validated in liking what they like because people are out there criticizing it. who either don’t care about issues people raise or don’t want to think about it. “why can’t everyone leave us alone” “if you don’t like don’t watch” “this is how italy is and you’re the problem for not understanding that”. the casting of sana caused a lot of people to call out skamit and condemn it as “problematic” and/or refuse to watch it before it even aired. now i believe those people are well within their right to do that. if something like this about a show upsets you you don’t owe it to anybody to watch it. but what this caused was people that wanted to watch skamit/enjoyed it felt the need to dismiss the issues raised by other people in the fandom. this is because 1) people were attacking them for liking skamit and 2) it’s become the culture of fandoms to demand you only enjoy things that meet an incredibly high moral ground and you have to constantly prove that the media you enjoy does that. which is such a disservice to being media literate honestly. and this kept happening. the racist, fatphobic comments, the excuse from the production about sana’s casting, the lack of any minority actors, the excluding of mahdi’s characters, the n-word being used and the mess that was the response from the cast and crew

it was one after another of things that made a number of people decided to not be a fan of skamit anymore and once they’d decided that any new thing that came out just proved to them that they were right! that skamit was racist and they were right for dropping it! but that doesn’t just end there because then it becomes anyone that supports skamit is racist and doesn’t deserve respect. and while all this is happening as every new thing happens and we all argue again about who is the most “morally superior” the fans of skamit are stepping on the toes of anyone that dares to criticize the show. they are defensive because they feel like their character is being attacked. because they feel like they have to be. and so ideologies are clashing all over the place over what is and isn’t racist, what’s good representation, what’s the importance of representation over “realism”, how realistic is skam really, you have muslims saying sana’s casting is disgraceful and muslims saying they don’t mind it, people of color saying it’s bad that there are no pocs and that sana is whitewashed and other people of color saying this isn’t a big deal because it’s realistic for italy, europeans claiming all the hate is coming from americans who live in a “us centric world” and don’t understand european views on race and europeans saying uh no i also think this is racist, italians saying this is just how italy is and italians calling all the racist stuff out. it’s just a ton of arguments that are difficult things to get people to see eye to eye on especially when it’s all over social media text and everyone feels like they have something to prove! prove the show they like is morally sound! prove they’re actually the most “woke”! prove and blame and defend and dog pile on everything! and no one is actually listening to each other because defending or shitting on a show is more important than remembering the humanity behind these arguments. remembering that there’s a person who you’re upsetting! who you are hurting because we’ve all invested too much of ourself in this!

it really bred this perfect space for back and forth arguments that went nowhere because people felt the need to tighten their hold on their own ideologies and to defend their position over any random comments they see. i’m guilty of doing this a number of times. i’ve seen a post in the skam tag and made my own post against it. i’ve seen comments on my post or people sub-blogging me and called them out to address it. this thing this show and all it’s versions are something we as fans all feel very strongly about. and this is really the only space we have to talk about it. to hash everything out. to post whatever thought we have. emotion run high! and with the anonymity of social media these arguments escalate so quickly!

i think it’s accurate to say that skamit fans are defensive. they feel like they have to be because they feel like the reasons they and the show they love are attacked are arbitrary reasons. they’ll dealt with so much criticism that any remark against skamit feels like another attack they need to defend themselves against. which has now created a culture where people are scared to say anything critical of skamit. that they’ll be deemed a hater and told “if you don’t like don’t watch”. but people don’t have to defend against every argument they see! they dont need to sit themselves on a high horse! anti skamit people are told to just leave and not bother with skamit but this goes both ways! skamit fans don’t have to address every criticism!

because of this back and forth that went no where we’ve created a culture where we can’t seem to even have discussions about the show anymore. about what we like/don’t like. what’s working and what’s not. that if you say “i don’t like this” you’ll get someone in your ask box basically saying “fuck you” because we attacked the people that wanted to enjoy the show it’s made them feel that everything is an attack. and this is a phenomenon you see across many fandoms! this morally superior hate-filled childish attacks. and at this point i don’t know if we can undo the damage that’s been done, both to how the fans of skamit view criticizers and how the people that aren’t fans view the fans. and that’s honestly really unfortunate

Okay so normally when I’m awake at 3AM it’s one of 3 scenarios: 1) I got fixated on something and don’t know how much time has passed, or 2) my insomnia has flared up yet again and I am this close to having a mental breakdown because I’m so tired, or 3) I got overtired and now act pretty much drunk and have too much energy to go to sleep. One time I sent Enna three separate rambly stupid asks about her OCs and I was so tired that the next morning I remembered I sent them but I couldn’t remember anything I said. My Dad. We both love the stars. We were also talking about Pokemon and DND. XD

I got my Dad a One Direction calendar once. We both hated One Direction. I’ve never seen anyone look so pleasantly surprised in my entire life.) My Dad loooved it. X’DI asked my Dad for a toothpick a week before my birthday once and he didn’t have one. Guess what my “present” was that year. Guess. XD

I’m done with waiting around and getting hurt over and over just to “be a good friend.” That’s not being a friend, that’s being a doormat/punching bag.

Promised Warsaw Boom fanaccount

Ok, where do I start? Was this an experience! It was my second B.A.P concert and boy am I happy. B.A.P truly are amazing! It was my first time travelling all alone AND to a country so far away from home so I was pretty nervous at first. Besides B.A.P I met many nice Babyz so shoutout to you guys! I’ll put the long overview under “read more” so if you don’t want to, you don’t have to scroll through all of this.

I’m not gonna put much about my travel down here, but I’ll mention that the traffic was really busy on Friday so I struggled for 3 hours to get to my hotel using the public transportation. I was so tired afterwards so no sightseeing which I had previously planned to do. At 5 pm on a day before the concert there were already about 10 people queuing outside the venue.

Me and @mingyubabe had decided to queue together and so we left for the venue a bit before midnight. I’d say there were around 40-50 people there when we arrived. Here’s a blurry picture.

Some Babyz had a leftover heat blanket? (Idk how they’re called) and they gave it to us so we wouldn’t get too cold at night. Thank you a lot! We had to sit there until 6 am to get our first numbers. In the end, the fact that we queued for so long, didn’t almost matter because as it came out, the fanstaff had an unoffical list where they wrote down names and this had begun already on Thursday?! (Found sth on twitter about 2 Spanish babyz arriving then and bombarding staff with their calls, like wut?) Since we didn’t know anything about the list and I don’t think they ever announced it anywhere, we got our names written down like 5 am in the morning, so my number was 110.

Next check-ups were at 13 and 17. By that time I had gone back and fourth my hotels (had to switch because the concert day was sold out in my first one). At 4 pm fans had planned a flash mob and I heard from someone that B.A.P was going to watch it. So everyone gathered under the balcony and we started waiting and chanting. Then someone came out and everybody screamed. Well, that was just some random dude (probably staff) and then everyone laughed. This happened like at least 10 times, in the end I got kinda tired of it because fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice... One cameraman had the time of his life though, haha. Probably went back home and boasted that he just made 1500 fangirls scream.

And then finally our boys came out and there was actual thunder and lightning, lol. I was like WOAH, omg, this is great! At that point my day had already been made. I got a picture of them with my OWN PHONE (yeii, my first pic of them). Dae looks like he’s looking straight to the camera. If you’re wondering where’s Jongup then look really closely between Himchan and Zelo. That tiny strand of hair sticking out is him.

They were filming an waving and sending hearts our way. Youngjae was being his sassy self in the end.

Now a bit off the course. Since you know, this year they had a dress code for the concert so I’ll post a pic of my outfit for it. I tried to fit several styles (rose, casual, maybe sexy&special too, idk if I can classify as this) but the main thing were these bunny ears with LED lights that I made all by myself (White parts are hand-painted with acrylics, I also sewed, glued and messed with electronics). Worked really hard to make them and I’m pleasantly surprised they survived the concert after all the water fights and jumping.

The concert itself was wonderful. I’m not able to compare it to last years one in Helsinki because the circumstances are different. That one was my first ever B.A.P concert so it certainly left a huge impact. I really loved the solo performances that time. But I can’t say this concert was any less. I’d say this time there was certainly more fan interaction.

As everyone already knows the concert started with DJ B.Shoo hyping up the crowd. I think I’m not gonna talk about all the performances, but maybe just point out some. The remix parts were nice as always, Youngjae was the one picking a lucky fan this time and then they drank beer. The water gun fight was crazy, I was soaking and my makeup was getting kinda smudged (at some point 4 of them were just pouring water everywhere. I think I accidentally swallowed a drop from Youngjae’s, but the main evil was Himchan. He’s responsible for ruining makeups, lol). Zelo’s solo song in English was adorable, Jongup and Daehyun did really well with theirs too. We got butt wiggles from Zelo and Daehyun and Yongguk lift his shirt. If I remember correctly, someone kicked someones butt and Dae gave a backhug to Jongup? We started using our whistles for fanchants when One Shot came on. Their performances are really powerful and their moves are so smooth. They still sound like they eat CD-s and dance effortlessly. The concert was sold out and I think B.A.P were really amazed. They thanked the crowd and promised to come back to Poland next year.

I had a VIP ticket which meant guaranteed high5. Our high five took place right in front of the stage, like, we were just waiting and then we see the members in front of us. I was surprised because I thought we would go to another room to do this. The picture is very blurry because my phone didn’t want to focus but you’ll get the gist of it.

Everyone had such loving smiles and soft hands and they told me thank you when I high fived them, so I answered the same (I had planned to tell something else, but it would’ve been awkward if they said thank you and I’d say sth out of topic). Yongguk and Daehyun were the most memorable for me, Daehyun slid his hand a bit while high-fiving, so the fingers kinda linked a bit. Even Jongup, whom I though would be a bit in his own thoughts or sth, was really into it. For some reason though, Himchan was either tired or thinking of sth else, so he didn’t really pay attention. While other members had their hands up, he had his down, so at first I was searching for it.

But in the end, I could high five all of them and that’s all that matters. I was really happy, the concert was great and I had so much positive experiences. Now I’m on a high for some time.

Now on another note, I was heading back home on Sunday and I met B.A.P at the airport. I didn’t take any pictures because I didn’t think it would’ve been appropriate. They got even less sleep from last night and their flight was departing soon, so it’s up to you if you believe me or you don’t. To be honest, I was actually hoping to see them there, because I had a small present for Yongguk, but gifts weren’t allowed at the venue this time. I still took it with me should there come a chance like this. So... my flight was at 11 o’clock but I saw that planes to Budapest were leaving either at 10:30 or 10:50. I waited a bit near the corresponding gates. Then I saw a suspicious looking man in a mask standing at the McDonalds. I thought to myself, could this be one of them. My suspicions were cleared when a person in a black coat with huge red text on the back of it appeared. “Death by Rock&Roll” it said. Jongup, Youngjae (the suspicious masked man), Daehyun and Zelo sat at McDonalds near gate 36. I wanted to confirm so I got a little sneak peak from the other side. When I got back, there was a shop at the corner and VOILA! Wild Himchan appeared. He was shopping there with the pretty stylist lady. They came out and I said hi to them. The stylist lady smiled but I don’t think I got any reaction from Channie.

There wasn’t much time left to board the plane and I still hadn’t seen Yongguk. I decided I had to at least hand the present to some of the members then. Dae, Jae and Zelo left McDonalds so I walked after them. They were going to a different gate than I assumed. As I was walking, someone passed by me on the right side and it was Jongup. He went to Daehyun and they turned around, Dae put his hand around Up’s shoulder and they walked by me without noticing. I guess they headed to the bathroom. So there I was, standing real close to the other members with Yongguk nowhere to be found. Zelo seemed pretty lively and in a good mood so I decided I’ll ask him to give this present to Bang. As I was getting ready to talk, I looked slightly left and on the chairs opposite of Zelo, there he was. Damn he’s good at playing hide and seek, haha. I was standing 1 meter away from Yongguk and as I was about to hand him the present, their manager turned around and was like woah, what are you trying to do here. I told him I had a present for Yongguk, so he took it and handed it to him. I stepped a bit further from the manager. Yongguk was really surprised, he was like, where did this come from?! So he looked behind and saw me standing there. He realized I gave it and nodded and smiled and put it in his bag. I answered with the same and rushed away. I was so so happy. He is so precious. I’m very glad there weren’t any other fangirls crowding them at that moment, which gave it a bigger meaning for me.

Hey fellow Masked Singer fans! Welcome or welcome back to Ana’s Masked Singer recap, where I, Ana, recap every episode of the Masked Singer. I am so happy to be back after a short break after the World Series (thank God for the Dodgers). If you don’t know how these recaps go, first of all hi, feel free to follow me if you want to see more of these. Anyways, so how these work is that I first talk about who gets eliminated, give my thoughts, and then give my guesses and commentary for the remaining contestants and their performances. I also try to back up my guesses as much as I can by using the clues... even though I guide myself with the voice of the individual contestant. Anyways, having said that, let’s jump into it:

With this episode, we met our last group of contestants, Group C, which consists of 5 masked characters, Squiggly Monster, Mushroom, Jellyfish, Lips, and Broccoli. Overall, to me, they are the weakest group vocal wise, but they were still fun to watch.

Alright, so let’s talk about the eliminated contestant, who was...

*DRUMROLL PLEASE*

Lips 💋

Performance: Alright, so she sang “Native New Yorker,” by Odessy.... and I really try to be as kind and constructive as I can with these recaps especially when critiquing their performances because being rude really doesn’t solve anything and I want you guys to understand why I don’t like a performance if I dislike a performance (so we can start an open dialogue you get me?) ... but I am so sorry, this lady can’t sing like at all. Oh and I knew exactly who she was (haha insert Ken’s voice into that phrase lol) the moment she opened her mouth. The thing is she is talking and she messed up in the middle by laughing/snorting in the performance, it was kind of hilarious not gonna lie... it made me laugh, which I guess is a good thing, but like yeah it’s kind of obvious why she left first, because she (I mean no offense to this.. well maybe I do because I am not a fan of the person under this mask like at all since she ain’t kind and civil like at all) blew it, like it kinda felt like she messed up on purpose or that she is actually horrible at singing, which is ok because she isn’t supposed to be a professional singer and that’s fine. All that to say Lips made me laugh and I appreciate it but I am kind of glad she was the first one to go....

Anyways, she was revealed to be (to no surprise of my own) controversial talk show host...

Wendy Williams

Whoop whoop, I got it right (as did like everyone who knows who she is because her voice is that distinct... oh and also she spoke during the song so it was kind of obvious, but I am still claiming my victory: Gotten 3/5 correct so far and I am proud of that number)! Anyways here are the clues that pointed to her:

Shock= she says very shocking things on her show and is a pretty polarizing figure, you either love her or hate her (I am not fond of her myself but whatever I guess)

“Speak my truth”= she’s known for stating her mind and is unfiltered with her thoughts on things

West Wing= her initials WW

Fire= Hot Takes is a segment on her show and also a reference to her book Wendy’s Got The Heat

Alright, now that we have finished with her, let’s talk about our remaining 4 masked contestants:

1. Squiggly Monster 👾

Performance: I really liked his performance of Have You Ever Seen the Rain by Creedence Clearwater Revival. He did super well, like I really liked it, I had low expectations because of the costume (it’s kind of creepy looking ngl) but I was pleasantly surprised. Having said that, the moment I heard him, because of his tone, I knew exactly who it was (again insert Ken’s voice here)...

So, for my guess, I think it is Full House actor/comedian:

Bob Saget

Ok, so besides the voice, lemme give you why I think that clues wise (credit goes to this Screen Rant article for the details idk on my own):

Penguin visual in the package= he directed a parody nature documentary called Farce of the Penguins

Father and a scoundrel= father part due to him actually being a father to 3 girls/his role on Full House as Danny Tanner (a single father of 3 daughters which I think is wow funny) and the scoundrel part referring to his raunchy/dirty comedy

Cookie clues= nod to Michelle from Full House and her love of cookies

“Breaking News” and him on a news show kind of thing= reference to his Full House character Danny Tanner being an anchor for Good Morning San Francisco

He also was on the show as a shrimp cocktail as the friend for the Taco aka Tom Bergeron! So it makes sense for him to come back this season which I am all into

2. Mushroom 🍄

Performance: Ok, so this is like the most confusing, is it a he or is it a she? That’s the biggest question, my money’s on a boy... so my guess is going to be male (I am gonna call Mushroom a he because of that so I apologize if I am misgendering them, I just need to narrow it down somehow and I am gendering them based on who I think it is, and I feel like he is the correct pronoun). Anyways, I love him, he’s my favorite Group C contestant, and his performance of This Woman’s Work was amazing, people said it was not good, but I really enjoyed it because I am a sucker for a good falsetto and this guy was almost all falsetto, I was feeling it. Having said that, maybe I like him so much because I feel like it is someone I adore, like if I meet him, I will faint status...

Having said that, I think it is Broadway star, heartthrob, actor, singer, adorable human...

Jordan Fisher

Omg he is so cute... sorry I am gonna stop being 😍 for him I promise. Anyways, big clue was a video of him singing this exact song (I think it sounds so similar, but you guys can judge for yourselves), here it is: https://youtu.be/3lzRsMl8M8Q

Apart from that, here are some actual clues (with a bit of help from this Screen Rant article) that got my mind thinking it is him:

WAITTT 🤔... before we get into that, what I found interesting is that he tweeted and I quote “Seasonal tweet to let everyone know that ____ on the masked singer is once again not me ��” and THE MASKED SINGER RETWEETED IT... but also I just checked and this is the first time he’s ever had to clear that up... soooo maybe he’s a liar (bc of an NDA ofc you cannot really spill the beans.... but let’s go with he’s a liar)... a cute liar... but he’s lying.

Ok, now onto the clues:

A lot of Hamilton clues= “a healer and a scholar,” “young, scrappy, and fun-gy,” “shroom where it happens” = he replaced Anthony Ramos as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton in the Broadway musical Hamilton (and also can reference his Broadway roots in general like being on Dear Evan Hansen)

Started at a “rat race” and Men in Black were mice= could be a reference to his start on Disney (Liv and Maddie and Teen Beach Movie)

A shot to turn a hobby into a career= reference to him streaming video games on Twitch

Stars clue with audience= he won Dancing with the Stars back in 2017 and also hosted DWTS Junior

3. Jellyfish 💚

Performance: I really liked her performance of Big Girls Don’t Cry by Fergie even though I felt like she was holding back a bit (I can kind of say the same about Mushroom... but I still enjoyed it). I am really curious to see what she can really do, because I felt her nerves in the performance and like she can do more. This one’s killing me because I feel like I have heard that voice but I can’t put my finger on who it could be

So, with that said, I have no idea who to guess:

But I do know that it isn’t ✨Billie Elish✨

No, but like seriously, that ain’t Billie Elish even tho a lot of people are guessing it, I am not buying it... you’ll see why in a second, here are the clues:

The Little(ish) Jellyfish title on a book

Reigned supreme in an underwater kingdom

Fans, Tiara (“princess”)

Angel Fish

Flower Crown

Missed out on normal girl stuff like parties and making friends

Billie Elish “Bad Guy” lyrics in the background= that’s way too obvious for it to be Billie Elish

4. Broccoli 🥦

Performance: His performance of House is Rockin’/Whole Lotta Shakin Going On by Stevie Ray Vaughan/Jerry Lee Lewis was not what I expected to be honest. I thought it was going to be someone younger or a rapper, but it was an older gentlemen, and he was rockin, not gonna lie. I really liked it, not my favorite though I don’t think he is bad by any means. Anyways, I feel like I know who it is... maybe I am getting this from another person on YT’s guess who I really liked (Shoutout to them idk their user sorry)

So, for my guess for the Broccoli, I think it is legendary singer...

Paul Anka

The reason why is because of the following clues:

Can of Soup= he won a Campell’s Soup competition and that jump started his career

Tik Tok reference= his song Put Your Head on My Shoulder went viral on Tik Tok

Also, the letterman jacket is very 60s which is his era I guess (my mom knows more ab it than I do)
