do u guys ever get too over whelmed with fandom stuff. I feel like I'm in fixation paralysis rn:

• still reeling from good omens, fandom is very active and am relatively new to the fanfiction so am reading all the good ones/ highly recommended ones

• OFMD obviouslyyy.... last episodes om thursday!!

• I just watched WWDITS - it's so good!! am frantically searching to find season 4 and 5

• GHOSTS SEASON 5, I love the 6 idiots so much I'm gonna cry. I'm gonna miss them

• merlin, wouldnt expect much out of a dead fandom? thought wrong! twitter account became active so loads of people r talking abt it. also reading a v v good fanfiction atm - loaded march - its 1 mil words long!!! ++ I'm doing my EPQ on king arthur :)

• Percy Jackson - cast r doing interviews and photo shoots, the first minutes got released at a con!! I've been waiting so long for this

• DAN AND PHIL GAMES BACK FROM HIATUS!!FIRST VIDEO!! AND ITS HEARTTHROB!!!

I’m not sure why I’m suddenly thinking about this for no reason late at night- but I think people don’t think/talk about how much of a miracle human life is enough. Like- think about it. A teeny tiny little egg, and a teeny tiny little sperm, come together and create something that grows and develops into a living, breathing being capable of higher thought, of wants and fears and worries and opinions and love. Something that is constantly growing and learning and can accomplish amazing things beyond your wildest dreams. And we can create that. It’s insane, it’s beautiful, it’s almost incomprehensible. I’m still in shock of it every day. Anyway I just think people need to remember that more.

humility 🌱🕊️

Hu-mil-i-ty: a modest or low view of one's own importance; humbleness.

The second form is by intermixture with H6041; from H6031; depressed (figuratively), in mind (gentle) or circumstances (needy, especially saintly): - humble, lowly, meek, poor`. Compare H6041.

This is one of my favorite attributes of Christ to speak about because He’s the perfect Messiah, the perfect God who came in the flesh and became obedient to death (Phil 2:8), and that’s something I still to this day shiver because we’re meant to be imitators of Christ (Ephesians 5:1), Jesus knew who He was when He was on earth (Phil 2:7). He found himself in trials that we now face only lighter, when I say only lighter is because He took everything to the cross, we’re dealing with nothing compared to what He fought for, our actions weren’t going to save us, glory to Christ Jesus because we weren’t going to make it had it not been for Him!

I know we’ve all wanted something or someone that God promised us at some point in our lifetime yet we have no idea how to get to that promise, but in order for us to get there, we need to learn humility. Humility is the soil that what we ask for from God, He plants and waters the seeds and if we have humility and do as He says, we grow into obedient children, children that receive the promises.

we can’t get anywhere if we have pride in our hearts, we can’t grow spiritually if we hold onto grudges and pride, in Ephesians 4:31, Paul tells us to, “let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.”, why does he write that? Because, he knows how easily bitterness, anger, clamor, slander malice can attach itself to our flesh, Paul writes saying sin is what lives in us, or in our flesh (Romans 7:17), and I say flesh because if we walk in the flesh we’ll gratify it’s desires (Gal 5:16). 

under all sin, is pride. it’s true what the leaders teach, if we lie or do some other sin and don’t get punished by God right away, we think we can get away with it, there’s no humility if there’s pride. When we don’t ask for forgiveness we’re not showing humility, we’re showing the contrary and not only that, but you’re giving a testimony that you’re not allowing God to work within you, you’re giving testimony that God’s Word, as a follower of Christ isn’t true, in Titus 2:3-5, Paul wrote, “Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanders or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. (4) Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children. (5) to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will will malign.” ESV

Or better understood for others, KJV, “that the Word of God be not blasphemed.”

Those who don’t want to open the Bible because they already have seen other followers of Christ and how they show the contrary, have no idea how much they’re committing this sin, nonbelievers don’t read the Bible as many say, they read us. In other words we’re open letters, what we take from the Bible, we have written on us when we live out the Word of God.

I’ve always heard from people to come to God with a heart that’s contrite and with humility, a contrite heart by definitions is;

-According to google: feeling or expressing remorse or penitence; affected by guilt.

-According to strong: H1792; A primitive root (compare H1794) to crumble; transitively to bruise (literally or figuratively): - beat to pieces, break (in pieces), bruise, contrite, crush, destroy, humble, oppress, smite.

That’s what it literally feels like, a bruise, I don’t know about many people, they say I apologize way too much, but that’s exactly how it feels, like a bruise and it only shows more that you have a heart that is contrite.

Jesus showed us how a heart with humility and contrite is, He prayed for those who hurt Him, He didn’t turn His back when someone needed His help, He did everything the Father showed Him, and something I love about the Gospels of Jesus is that when a Gentile woman pleaded Jesus to heal her daughter when He was focused on the Jews. 

That’s what I love about His attributes, that He showed humility and didn’t change His mind nor regret it, because He knew that the woman was seeking the grace of God, and one of those examples is seen in how He went to the cross to die for us, as mentioned in Phil 2:8, “he humbled himself by being fully obedient to God, even when that caused his death—death on a cross.” ERV, and He didn’t regret it knowing we might’ve not have ever loved Him back.

In Matthew 4:5-11 we can also see this example, He knew His power but didn’t call out to His angels when satan tried to tempt Him, better yet, He showed humility and rebuked satan. Not only that but it’s amazing how Jesus knew that if He did call His angles He wouldn’t have been able to save us, that’s tremendously beautiful to know that God did everything in His humanly power to save us because He loves us.

This is why I go back to what John says, in 1 John 2:29 AMP, “If you know that He is absolutely righteous, you know [for certain] that everyone who practices righteousness [doing what is right and conforming to God’s will] has been born of Him.”

we can fail God at any moment when we don’t show humility, it's evident that He’s changed our hearts when we obey, but we do have a power, a power to ruin the calling God has for us if we don’t obey Him, when we refuse to humble ourselves.

And not only this but the Word of God says in 1 John 1:9 ESV, “if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

One of the hardest things for anyone is not wanting to confess a sin to the Lord and feeling like they have nothing to ask forgiveness for, because they don’t have humility, that’s pride, when we humble ourselves that’s when we show the humility He has embedded in us through Christ Jesus, when we have humility we see just how much God has transformed us. And when we humble ourselves we’re acknowledging that we need the Grace of God, that we can’t do anything if it weren’t for Him, that’s why in Matt 6:17 it’s said, “you will recognize them by their fruits.“

Because once you have humility, then only can you grow the fruits of a humble sheep of the Lord, only then are you able to show others the works of the Lord, and I love what is written in John 15:4 ESV Jesus says, “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.”

One of the places to start with humility is asking the Holy Spirit for guidance, that He helps you grow everyday more and more to be humble and to have a contrite heart. We shouldn’t allow pride to fill our hearts, we need to be filled with His Holy Spirit so we can grow and produce fruits for the Lord, we need to be walking testimonies of His Works within us for those who are lost, for those who don’t believe, for those who doubt that God can do many great things.

Matthew 7:7-8, "Continue to ask, and God will give to you. Continue to search, and you will find. Continue to knock, and the door will open for you.” — (8)“Yes, whoever continues to ask will receive. Whoever continues to look will find. And whoever continues to knock will have the door opened for them.”
