K. Ray Turner, oil on glass, 2014. This was part of the Compendium 2 Paint exhibit at the Peter Mendenhall Gallery, Los Angeles, CA. These paintings were based on people in the United States who were arrested and incarcerated bearing the name Ray Turner. I want to do a big shout out to Peter Mendenhall, and all the galleries that have hung in through all the changes of the business over the last decade, as well as from this awful pandemic. I don’t hash tag much, but I’m going to see if in fact, it does make a difference. Stay safe, and hang in. This too will pass.
