Australia Most Risky Suburbs for Commercial Real Estate Investments Revealed
Australia’s most risky suburbs for commercial real estate investments have been revealed, highlighting areas where investors should exercise caution. Market volatility, high vacancy rates, and shifting economic conditions make some suburbs less desirable for business properties. Suburbs with declining foot traffic, over-saturation of retail spaces, or dependence on struggling industries pose significant risks. Locations with weak infrastructure, high crime rates, and unpredictable demand further complicate investment decisions. Some regions face challenges due to changing work trends, such as the rise of remote work reducing the need for office spaces. While some high-risk suburbs may offer short-term gains, long-term sustainability remains uncertain. Careful assessment and strategic planning are crucial to mitigating risks in Australia’s commercial real estate market.

Boomers overtaken on housing wealth ladder
They might remain the country's wealthiest generation, but Baby Boomers no longer own the most valuable property in Australia, nor have the most in shares.
A new analysis by KPMG released this morning has found that while the oldest generation once had the most property holdings, they've now been passed by Generation X as housing is both sold off by Boomers and inherited by their children.

Households spending edged higher in March; however, the increase was offset by the dwindling amount devoted to recreation after Taylor Swift’s seven sold-out stadium shows buoyed turnover in February.
Fresh figures released by Commonwealth Bank on Thursday showed household spending rose by just 0.2 per cent in March as shoppers stocked up their fridges for the Easter long weekend and travelled to meet family and friends.
