so super massive family tree connections just makes everything fall into place, so here me out, the Smith brothers obviously understand French to some degree, maybe not in a way where they're competent about talking to a native speaker but enough where they clearly get the gist of it(they're reading the subtitles lol)
So I've been wracking my brain on this and I've got it, George Hawthorne from the inpatient is their great grandfather and he's from Alberta so if his wife was French Canadian then his children would grow up multilingual and then some of that is carried down the line
The knock on effect is that Nick would also be at least passable in French which is great for the au where the foreign aid worker Marie Vinay survives as I have her down as knowing French and Arabic and that would increase the number of people she can communicate with so there's that too 😊

I got an eBay package that came from a church in Rhode Island. It had a lot of old stamps on the envelope.

I just know that Thea, Jennifer (Jennifer's body) and Regina George would've been the ultimate mob boss in highschool. Like the last boss in a game. or just an undefeatable girl clique in school.

The House of the Seven Gables is a 1940 Gothic drama film based on the 1851 novel of the same name by Nathaniel Hawthorne. It stars George Sanders, Margaret Lindsay, and Vincent Price, and tells the story of a family consumed by greed in which one brother frames another for murder.

Hey Tumblr People!
Tumblr media
Hi, I hope you guys are well!
I’m very excited to say that this blog is going to be a fanfic one!!
I’ve never done something like this before, like...ever! But I must say I’m a huge consumer of good fanfictions, and I like creative writing in general so I woke up one day and chose violence.
And by violence I mean putting myself out here and stop being afraid of sharing my writing dammit!
So yeah, here I am!
Wish me luck Tumblr (and please don’t screw me up with your algorithm I’m begging you) !
Meet me in the next post to know which characters I write for and rules so if you guys are interested I’ll be open for requests!

Sitting To Know Your Collection July Roundup
2 in one day, who am I?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sitting To Know Your Collection Week 27 (July 1st - July 7th)
Album: Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge (2004) by My Chemical Romance Play Count: 3 Top 2 Tracks:
Thank You For The Venom (Track 9)
You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison (Track 4)
First off Happy 20th Anniversary to OG Emo Romance. Second I enjoyed the binge of this album. It has that high energy we all love but can slow itself down when it needs to and go right back up again. Not gonna lie, it’s one of those albums where the songs I know, I’m solid on and others there a little struggle. I was raised on the singles and that’s why I think this one needs a read-along when I revisit it again, cause I need to get better retention for it. That being said I remembered more than I thought I did and had a great time with it.

Sitting To Know Your Collection Week 28 (July 28th - 14th)
Album: Nimrod (1997) by Green Day Play Count: 2-3 times Top 2 Tracks:
Uptight (Track 9)
Prosthetic Head (Track 18)
Anytime is a good time for my favorite band. I’m not a fan of big albums that aren’t deluxe editions. 10-14 tracks, under an hour, is the sweet spot for me and just seeing 18 tracks on the list had me feeling some sort of way. All that being said, the album may have 18 songs on it, but Nimord does not feel like a long drawn out album. It didn’t feel like I was sitting there forever waiting for it to end. (You know too much of a good thing.) This is a fun album that features several of the dentist office radio station rock hits, but also features songs like King For A Day and The Grouch, which are popular, but not well know by the casual listener. Very enjoyable listen.
Side Note: I do have the deluxe anniversary edition, but I figured it would be too much for a binge like this, but I will pry it open one day.

Sitting To Know Your Collection Week 29 (July 15th - 21st)
Album: If Only You Were Lonely XV (2021) by Hawthorne Heights Play Count: 4 Top 2 Tracks:
This Is Who We Are (Track 1)
Pens and Needles (Track 4)
This was the 2021 re-recording of the 2006 original. The first listen of this sit felt really chill, but after a couple more runs the heaviness I that I thought had simmered came back. I will say though that this version feels lighter as a whole, than the original, but that could just be the Spotify version I’m listening to as I write this, so I don’t have to pull out my CD. Anyway it’s good, maybe a few less screams, but still something I love having in my collection. They were always the band that I thought of when I thought of “Emo” and this just re-affirms that feeling.

Sitting To Know Your Collection Week 30 (July 22nd - July 28th)
Album: Nellyville (2002) by Nelly Play Count: 2 Top 2 Tracks:
Pimp Juice (Track 6)
#1 (Track 16)
This album is an automatic party, immediately a good time… however this is a long one. It has skit interludes (shout out Cedric The Entertainer) which were fun the first time around, but they get old real quick. Like I said this album is hella fun, it’s just not one I feel is an on repeat, over and over again record. Specially, I’m talking the entire album, not the singles, although those can get old too. I just remember Spotify also shooting tracks from this album out to me on random daylists and other playlists the same week and I just wanted to skip them. I say this having only ran through it twice, but trust it was enough.
PS: If the rumor is true. I hope the St. Lunatics get their money and their credit. (Different album, but same Nelly so statement still applies lol.)

Sitting To Know Your Collection Week 31 (July 28th - August 4th)
Album: Nothing Like The First Time Live From The Troubadour (2012) by George Watsky Play Count: 2 Top 2 Tracks:
Stupidass (Track 5)
Wounded Healer (Track 7)
This one was fun and as it played I would look up and realize that I hadn’t heard some of these songs in forever or at least these specific versions. I knew most words, so I could hold myself up with this one. That being said a couple runs was just enough for me. I didn’t need more, but I had a good time. There’s a lot of sampling and humor with this album, so if that’s your thing I think you’d like it too.
PS: Because of all the samples, this live album and its studio version are not on Spotify, however you can find them on good ol Bandcamp and probably YouTube.
