My entry for @spinchip 's DTIYS !! I hope you like it, I've tried to be as creative as possible :)
Normally I don't post here as I cannot use tumblr at all, but I just had to,, I love Zane, I love The Ice Emperor, I love drawing contests,,
I've tried to make it look like a stained glass window since the ninja are (sometimes) treated like the saviours and just thought that since Zane already had a funeral and a statue they should've made him a little more artsy stuff too.
I've tried to make his face fit the dtiys' one with the faceplate chipped off, 'blood' oozing out, the black eyes, and the shoulder pads,,, :3
Congrats on 4k, you deserve it <3
(also I hope this reaches you, I genuinely have no idea how this works, I'm only used to instagram. You can find me there :D

If you are in the mood for writing and taking requests, could you pls write a short fic about crying f!Tav and Astarion comforting her?
Hello! I hope you like it. This was actually a scene I had been thinking about for awhile as it fits in with my Tav's story. Thank you to @satanicspinosaurus for the beta.
Lean On Me - Astarion x F!Reader
Your group stepped through the Basilisk Gate after your confrontation with Gortash at Wyrm’s Rock, entering Baldur’s Gate properly for the first time. The clamor and crowds of the city were overwhelming, smothering you in an alien way of life you’d only glimpsed in bits and snatches from the Patriar’s ivory walls of the Upper Gate.
were familiar, and yet not, and entirely overwhelming. You almost stumble as you glance around, trying to take everything in. Muscles tense as it all blurs together and you frantically try to figure out how to navigate the section of the city you’ve rarely seen. Someone soundlessly hovers at your shoulder.
“Everything alright, Darling?” Astarion whispers to not draw the attention of the others.
“Y-yeah,” you stutter before stepping away. There isn’t time for you to be anything else, so you breathe deep and take a step.
“Should we start at the Elfsong? Could be a good base to operate from, and there’s always information to be found there.” Wyll’s point is solid, and the Emperor already urged you to stop there.
“Good call.” There was just one problem.
“Lead on, fearless Leader,” Wyll says jovially, but you’ve frozen where you stand. “You do know the way to the Elfsong right?”
“I…” Frantically, you try to recall anything you know about the Lower City.
“I thought every Baldurian knew where the Elfsong was,” Karlach asks, without malice, but genuine curiosity.
You open your lips, but instead of words, a small noise comes out. It’s not their fault, they have no way of knowing, the Lower City was worlds away from your gilded cage. A place forbidden, it was below you. Or so you were told.
“You're not familiar with the area, are you?” Wyll offers kindly, sensing something is wrong and trying to take some of the sudden pressure off.
He says something else, but you can’t even hear him. The busy streets fade into visions of dark, cold rooms with windows to a world you can never touch. Tears embarrassingly prick your eyes as you’re drawn back into a place where fear motivates perfection, where hurt is a price paid to be molded into who you need to be. Eyes that mirror your own, blue and icy as a winter storm, stare at you with disdain. The message is clear: you’re not enough.
Vaguely, more voices flit across your consciousness, but you can’t focus, until one voice in particular breaks though. “Go on ahead, I’ll take care of her.”
Cold hands clasp yours, a momentary calm in the storm. “Can you hear me, Love?” Wordlessly, you nod. “I’m going to lead you into this alley, just so we get out of the street.” The insistent pull is easy to follow with nothing to anchor you.
The clustered buildings block the daylight, plunging you into shadows and shade, any progress of Astarion’s reassuring voice is lost. Daylight is a reward for obedience, and there is none of it here. Mother’s voice is in your ear, the matriarch of ice. You want to leave, but the door is locked, useful trinkets can’t be left to their own devices, lest they be lost. You feel yourself trembling, and you know you’re still crying. “You’re not there, you’re safe. Just focus on my voice. You can do that for me, right, my Sweet?”
Eyes squeeze shut, and you yank your hands away from his to rub fitfully at the scar on your wrist. You never could get away from her, you're drowning in frigid water, you can’t breathe. She wouldn’t let you go, even when your heart stopped beating. Foolish to think you’d ever escape. “I’m going to take your hand again. I won’t hurt you.”
Astarion makes a strangled gasp when he pries your hand from your wrist, but he holds it gently, rubbing softly with his thumb. “Come back to me, Sunlight, I’m right here.”
Sunlight. “...you’re bright, and warm, and beautiful,” you can still hear those words of his as clear as the night he said them. Warm, bright, nothing like what you’re supposed to be. Because you’re free now, you’re no longer currency to be traded, your life is yours to mold.
“Astarion,” you force your eyes open and struggle to get more words out between ragged breaths, burying your tears back down inside yourself. Wide crimson eyes stare at you with open concern, traveling down to where your nails have worried jagged, red lines in the skin of your wrist. Pulling it to your chest, you tuck it out of sight, wanting both of you to forget what you saw. “I’m fine. We should get going.” There’s so much that needs to be done.
Astarion is never good at hiding his emotions from you, and hurt flickers across his face for a moment before he regains control. “But you’re not, and you don’t have to be all the time.”
Deep breath, reassuring smile, the composure of a leader. Everyone is counting on you. That’s why they love you, you lead where they can’t. “Really, I’m alright, I-”
Gently, he pulls you into himself, and runs fingers comfortingly through your hair. “I know what it’s like, remember?” Gods, you’d almost forgotten who you were trying to convince. Instincts want to fight him still, to go on, to stop making a scene. But his comforting touch persists, and he raises your stinging wrist to his lips, laying the most delicate kiss on it.
The tears you’d so successfully banished well back up, and you find yourself sniffling into his shirt, building to genuine gulping sobs.
Composure shattered, there’s no going back. All your weight leans into him as you cry. “Sorry, I’m sorry, really, I’ll be fine.”
“Shh, no apologies, you’ve done nothing wrong.” Lips kiss the top of your head, and you bury your face against him, still ashamed of breaking down.
Time slips away from you as you let the fear and hurt drain away in tears. Astarion’s hold never waivers, soothing words falling from his lips in a low whisper until you finally quiet. There’s an emptiness where it all was, but it’s better than the pain. “I-”
“That had better not be another apology on that sweet little tongue of yours.” He lets go just enough to pull back and study you, concern written on his features, despite the lighter tone to his words.
You offer him a shaky smile. Despite his faults, Astarion tries to be a good partner. “It burns like failure. I should be better.”
“Hmm, that sounds like it comes from your family I'd wager,” your eyes go wide at his deduction, “it wasn't hard to figure out from the little bits I've been able to get from you. But they're not here, and I am. And I say you're so very strong already, you deserve some time when you’re not.”
Silently, you let your head fall back against his chest. You don’t have an answer for him because you want to argue. That’s a pointless endeavor, though, both because Astarion is nearly impossibly stubborn and a little part of you is starting to think he’s right. “Maybe,” you finally say.
“You know I’m right Darling, like always,” it’s such a typical Astarion way of ending a heavy moment, you give him a genuine smile. “But I suppose we should catch up with the others, gods know what trouble they’ve gotten into without us.”
If only you had time for just the two of you right now, it will have to wait though. More than just your friends, a whole city is at the precipice of disaster. And who knows how many more than Baldur’s Gate will suffer if you fail. One more kiss and you stand up straight, finding the will to press on again.
A hand catches yours, a reminder you’re not doing this alone.

Diamond Of The First Water
In the aftermath of war, Paradis finds itself in need of powerful alliances. When Emperor Armand of Valoria offers his military aid in exchange for the hand of his daughter, Princess Solina, in marriage, Captain Levi Ackerman is thrust into an engagement that begins as a political strategy but soon becomes something much deeper.
Princess Solina, sheltered from the world and unaware of the realities of love and war, finds herself drawn to Levi—the man known as Humanity’s Strongest Soldier. As they navigate royal customs, public expectations, and the growing threat of Marley, the bond between them deepens into a genuine connection.
But neither Solina nor Levi are prepared for the challenges of a political marriage, the weight of intimacy, and the secrets that lie beneath the surface. As Solina enters a new life with Levi, her naivety is tested, and Levi faces a battle unlike any he’s fought before—the fight to protect his heart.
Can their love flourish in the midst of war, duty, and danger? Or will the forces conspiring against them tear them apart before they can find peace?
Chapter Six
The moment the doors to the more intimate chamber swung open, a subtle shift in the atmosphere occurred. This room, though smaller than the grand audience hall, still held an air of authority. The high ceilings were intricately detailed, with heavy drapery framing the tall windows. The soft glow of the afternoon sun filtered through, casting long shadows across the room’s ornate, marble floors. The Emperor, Lady Solana, Princess Solina, and their entourage settled into their places. The scouts followed suit, each of them standing at attention, their postures sharp and respectful.
The room held a round table in the center, made of dark polished wood, with a map of Paradis and Valoria spread across it. Various markings and notes about the ice burst stone and potential locations for mining were scattered across the surface. The Emperor took his seat at the head of the table, his imposing figure commanding attention without the need for words. Levi, Hange, Armin, and Jean stood on one side of the table, with Levi taking the lead. Lady Solana and Princess Solina sat next to the Emperor, while several high-ranking Valorian officials stood nearby, their eyes keen and attentive.
The Chancellor, who had been quietly observing, now cleared his throat to signal the beginning of the conversation. "As we move forward, it would be best to discuss the details of the proposed mining operation. Captain Levi, I understand that Paradis is cautious about how the ice burst stone is to be extracted."
Levi’s eyes narrowed slightly, his tone measured and firm. “We understand the value of the ice burst stone, and we want to make sure it’s handled properly. The extraction process can be dangerous, and we’ve seen firsthand the devastation caused when it’s mishandled. What are Valoria’s intentions with the stone? We need to be clear about its use.”
The Emperor leaned back slightly in his chair, his gaze cool and calculated as he regarded the scouts. His fingers drummed lightly on the armrest, the only indication of the thoughts swirling behind his stoic expression. “The stone,” he began, his voice smooth and deliberate, “is a resource that will secure the future of both our nations. Its power is undeniable. In the right hands, it could provide protection and advancement for generations.”
His words were vague, almost evasive, offering just enough information to answer the question without truly revealing his plans. Levi’s eyes flickered to Hange, who stood beside him with a thoughtful expression, clearly picking up on the Emperor’s careful wording. The Emperor continued, “Our engineers have studied what limited information we’ve been able to gather from Paradis’ encounters with the stone, and we believe its full potential is far from realized. That is why we are eager to begin mining immediately.”
Hange, never one to shy away from pushing for answers, raised an eyebrow. “You said ‘protection and advancement.’ Does that mean you plan to weaponize it? We need transparency if this alliance is going to work.”
The Emperor’s expression didn’t change, but there was a moment of silence before he replied. “I assure you, our interest in the stone is solely for the benefit of our empire and its allies.” His gaze shifted briefly to Levi, his tone firm as he added, “As for when we plan to begin mining, we intend to do so immediately after Captain Levi and Princess Solina’s wedding.”
At the mention of the wedding, the mood in the room seemed to shift subtly. Lady Solana, who had been quietly watching the conversation unfold, leaned forward slightly, a gentle smile gracing her lips. “Yes,” she said softly, her voice warm but with a touch of formality. “The wedding will take place in a month’s time. We’ve already begun preparations.” She turned her attention to Levi, her gaze soft but steady. “There will be an engagement ball next week, where the alliance between our nations will be announced to the world. It will be a grand affair—world leaders, nobility, and high-ranking officials from all corners of the world will be in attendance.”
Levi, ever the pragmatic soldier, simply nodded in acknowledgment. He wasn’t one for grand ceremonies or formalities, and the thought of an engagement ball felt like an unnecessary distraction. Still, he knew the importance of these events in maintaining appearances and securing the alliance. His gaze remained fixed on the Emperor, his focus still on the conversation about the stone. However, out of the corner of his eye, he couldn’t help but notice Princess Solina.
She had been sitting quietly throughout the conversation, her hands delicately folded in her lap, her posture prim and proper. But every so often, Levi felt the weight of her gaze on him. Each time he turned his head ever so slightly, he would catch her staring. Their eyes would meet, and she would quickly avert her gaze, a slight flush coloring her cheeks as she pretended to focus on something else. It had happened more than once, and Levi, always observant, was quick to notice the pattern.
Princess Solina, for her part, was struggling to keep her composure. She had been told all about Captain Levi—his reputation as Humanity’s Strongest Soldier, his exploits in battle, and his unflinching resolve. But seeing him in person was something entirely different. He was much smaller than she had imagined, but there was an undeniable intensity about him, a presence that seemed to command the room even when he wasn’t speaking. She couldn’t help but steal glances at him, her curiosity getting the better of her. Each time their eyes met, she felt a nervous flutter in her chest, and she would quickly look away, her heart racing.
Levi, despite himself, found the princess’s behavior both puzzling and slightly amusing. She was clearly trying to get a read on him, much like he was trying to do with her, but her shyness was evident in the way she kept retreating whenever their eyes met. For someone who was supposedely one of the most admired women in the world, she seemed remarkably unsure of herself.
The conversation between the Emperor and the scouts continued, but Levi’s mind wandered for a moment, considering the situation he now found himself in. He was to be married to this woman—a woman he didn’t know, in a land that was foreign to him. And yet, despite the strangeness of it all, there was something about the way Solina looked at him that made him wonder. What kind of person was she beneath the royal title and the shy demeanor? Could they truly make this work, or was this destined to be nothing more than a political arrangement?
As the Emperor began discussing the logistics of the mining operation and how Valoria’s engineers would work in tandem with Paradis’ resources, Levi’s attention snapped back to the present. He knew that, regardless of how he felt about the marriage, the alliance, military aid for Paradis, and the stone were what mattered most.
Lady Solana glanced between her daughter and Levi, noticing the stolen glances and the tension in the air. Her smile softened, and she spoke gently, her voice filled with kindness. “Captain Levi, I hope that in the coming weeks, you and my daughter will have the opportunity to get to know one another. The engagement ball is only the beginning, but there will be time to talk and understand each other.”
Levi simply nodded, his expression stoic. “Of course,” he replied, though inwardly he had no idea how this would play out.
The Emperor’s voice once again dominated the room. “For now, let us focus on the immediate matter at hand—securing the future of both Paradis and Valoria through the mining of the ice burst stone.” His eyes flicked to Levi and Hange. “I trust you will cooperate with our engineers once the wedding has passed?”
Hange, ever the tactician, nodded thoughtfully. “We’ll ensure everything is handled smoothly. But we’ll need full transparency during the mining process.”
“Of course,” the Emperor replied smoothly, though Levi could tell that the Emperor was keeping his true intentions closely guarded. The vagueness of his answers and the careful diplomacy in his tone made it clear that this was a man who would do anything to protect his empire’s interests.
As the conversation continued, Princess Solina once again found herself sneaking a glance at Levi, wondering if he had noticed her. Little did she know, he had caught her every time.
Solina found herself unable to keep her eyes off of Captain Levi. Her heart beat faster every time she dared to glance in his direction. He truly wasn’t what she had envisioned when her father had first told her of the arrangement. Stories of the captain described him as Humanity’s Strongest Soldier, a battle-hardened warrior with more victories to his name than any other soldier. She had expected someone imposing, someone grizzled by war, with the weight of years evident in every step. But now, seeing him in person, none of those assumptions seemed to match.
He wasn’t as tall as she had imagined. In fact, he was shorter than most of the men in the room, yet his presence still commanded attention. His compact build, strong and sturdy, reminded her of a coiled spring—poised and ready to strike at a moment’s notice. And despite his reputation, there was a surprising youthfulness to him. Though she had been told he was in his mid-thirties, Levi looked much younger, as if the years of battle hadn’t quite left their mark on his appearance in the way she had expected. He looked like he could have been in his early twenties, not too far from her own age.
Her eyes traced the sharpness of his features—his neatly trimmed hair, short and dark, framing his face. His eyes, however, were what held her attention most. They were cold, calculating, and yet, there was something in them she couldn’t quite place. A depth that told of all the battles he had fought, all the lives he had seen lost. His skin, pale and unmarked, contrasted with the strength she knew was hidden beneath the surface. And then there were his hands. Though he sat with them folded neatly in front of him, she caught glimpses of them as he gestured subtly during the conversation. They were a curious mix—soft-looking in some places, but clearly callused and rough in others, the hands of a man who had fought tirelessly, yet somehow maintained a certain gentleness.
There was a quiet strength about him, a calmness that reminded her of her father. It was an aura of authority that didn’t need to be shouted. It was simply felt. For the briefest moment, Solina wondered if this strength extended beyond the battlefield. Could Levi’s calm resolve translate into something softer, something that could potentially allow them to bridge the gap between duty and affection?
Before she could stop herself, she realized she had been staring—no, studying him—her thoughts completely absorbed by the man who would soon be her husband. Levi’s sharp gaze met hers, and her breath caught in her throat. He was staring back at her, his expression unreadable but clearly aware of her attention. Time seemed to slow, and for a moment, it felt as if they were the only two people in the room. The rest of the world faded into the background as their eyes locked.
A wave of heat rushed to Solina’s cheeks, a faint flush creeping up her neck as she quickly dropped her gaze, mortified that she had been caught. She blinked, trying to gather herself, only to realize that not just Levi, but the entire room had gone quiet. Her heart skipped a beat, and it suddenly dawned on her that everyone—her parents, the scouts, the officials—was staring at her.
The Emperor’s voice cut through the silence, deep and calm, though there was an unmistakable hint of amusement in his tone. “Solina, my dear, I was asking for your thoughts on the engagement ball. Are you feeling prepared for next week’s festivities?”
Solina’s stomach dropped. She hadn’t heard a single word her father had said. She had been so distracted by Levi, so lost in her own thoughts, that she hadn’t even noticed when the conversation shifted. She swallowed hard, her mind racing as she tried to think of a response.
“I—um—yes, Father,” she stammered, her voice barely above a whisper as she glanced around the room, noting the curious and slightly amused expressions on the faces of those around her. “I—I am prepared.”
She could feel the heat in her cheeks intensifying, and she fought the urge to fidget with the folds of her gown. Her hands, normally so graceful, felt clumsy in her lap. She knew she was supposed to say more, something intelligent or thoughtful, but her mind was blank. All she could think about was how Levi was still watching her, his gaze unwavering, as if he were analyzing her every move.
Lady Solana, sensing her daughter’s discomfort, intervened with a kind smile. “It’s been a long day,” she said smoothly, turning to the Emperor. “I’m sure Solina is simply tired. There’s still much to prepare, but everything will be in place for the ball.”
The Emperor nodded, his eyes softening slightly as he looked at his daughter. “Of course,” he said gently. “You’ve done well, Solina. There’s no need to worry.”
Solina nodded mutely, grateful for her mother’s intervention, though she still felt the weight of embarrassment hanging over her. She dared another glance at Levi, wondering what he must think of her. A foolish princess, distracted by her own thoughts during an important meeting. But when their eyes met again, she saw something unexpected in his gaze—a flicker of understanding, or perhaps even amusement, as if he found her flustered state mildly entertaining.
She quickly looked away again, her heart hammering in her chest. This was going to be a long engagement if she couldn’t even manage to focus in his presence.
The conversation resumed, the room returning to its usual formality, but Solina’s mind remained elsewhere. She couldn’t shake the feeling that this marriage—this strange, unexpected union—was going to be far more complicated than she had imagined.
Levi, meanwhile, silently observed her from across the room, his sharp mind cataloging every nuance of her behavior. He noticed the way her eyes flitted nervously, the slight flush on her cheeks, and how she seemed both determined and unsure at the same time. She was nothing like he had expected, and that intrigued him. For all her shyness and inexperience, there was something about her that drew his attention—something he couldn’t quite place yet.
But one thing was clear: Princess Solina was more than just a pawn in this political game. There was a depth to her, and though Levi wasn’t one to dwell on emotions or personal connections, he found himself wondering if perhaps there was more to this engagement than mere duty.
As the meeting continued and plans for the upcoming wedding and mining of the ice burst stone were discussed, Levi couldn’t help but think that this—this strange alliance, this unexpected marriage—might prove to be more complicated and, perhaps, more interesting than he had initially anticipated.
The atmosphere shifted slightly as the Emperor continued speaking, his voice calm and composed, but the weight of his words held a different kind of gravity now. “As part of this alliance,” Emperor Armand began, his eyes steady on Levi and the other scouts, “Valoria will send full military support to Paradis after the wedding. This support will not only protect your island but strengthen your regiments. We understand the dangers your people face, and we will provide what is necessary to secure a lasting peace.”
Levi gave a small nod, showing no surprise. This was part of the initial deal, after all—the price for the marriage and the right to mine the ice burst stone. The Emperor’s promise of full military backing was expected, but hearing the details now made the weight of the agreement feel more real.
“We'll need the support,” Hange said thoughtfully, her hand absently touching her chin. “With Marley on edge, Paradis can't afford to stand alone. Having Valoria's military could tip the balance in our favor.”
The Emperor's expression didn’t waver. “Indeed. But more than just sending troops, we’ll be incorporating our most skilled warriors and tacticians to assist your regiments.”
At this, Lady Solana quietly motioned to an attendant standing by the door. “Please, fetch Prince Solomon,” she requested, her voice gentle but firm. Her gaze turned back to the scouts with a hint of pride. “My son, Solomon, will be overseeing these military efforts.”
The scouts exchanged brief glances, recognizing the significance of this. Prince Solomon, the heir to the throne, personally leading the Valorian military in Paradis was not just a symbol of trust, but a calculated power move. It was clear that Valoria intended to be deeply involved in the future of Paradis, securing not just an alliance, but a foothold.
Levi’s eyes flicked toward Lady Solana, then back to the Emperor. He could feel the weight of what this meant. Having a foreign prince in charge of military operations on Paradis soil would likely come with its own set of challenges, but Levi didn’t show any outward reaction. It was just another obstacle to navigate, like so many others.
Hange, never one to shy away from asking questions, leaned forward slightly. “We’ve heard Prince Solomon is one of Valoria’s best soldiers,” she said, her tone casual but curious. “What exactly will his role be in our military operations?”
Before the Emperor could respond, the door opened, and Prince Solomon entered the room.
Solomon was every bit as commanding as the scouts had imagined. He was tall and broad-shouldered, his frame accentuated by the crisp lines of his decorated military uniform. His red hair was cut short, much like his father’s, and his sharp green eyes seemed to take in everything at once. He carried himself with the confidence of a man who had been born and raised to lead.
Solomon approached the group with long, purposeful strides, his gaze briefly passing over each scout before it landed on Levi. There was no mistaking the tension in the air as the two men sized each other up. Levi, known for his lack of reaction to most things, met Solomon’s gaze with his usual unflinching calm, though he could feel the weight of the Crown Prince’s scrutiny.
The Emperor, sensing the unspoken challenge, broke the silence. “Captain Levi, this is my son and the Crown Prince of Valoria, Solomon. He will be overseeing our military efforts in Paradis, ensuring that our forces are integrated into yours efficiently.”
Solomon gave a curt nod in greeting, his expression serious as he addressed Levi directly. “Captain Levi,” he said, his voice even but firm. “I’ve heard much about you. Humanity’s Strongest Soldier.” There was a subtle challenge in his tone, as if he were testing Levi’s reputation already. “I look forward to working alongside you.”
Levi, his expression as unreadable as ever, nodded in return. “Likewise.”
There was a brief pause as the two men assessed each other. Solomon, though formal, was clearly trying to gauge Levi’s strength, perhaps trying to see if the stories of his prowess were exaggerated. Levi, on the other hand, was merely sizing up another obstacle. He’d dealt with soldiers, commanders, and royalty before, and Solomon was no different in his eyes.
Solomon moved to have a seat next to his mother, and as the meeting continued, the formalities unfolded with precision, but an underlying tension hovered in the air, especially for Prince Solomon. Solomon watched the scouts with a careful, guarded expression, particularly Levi. He listened to the exchange between his father and the Paradis soldiers without interruption, but his thoughts were elsewhere. The idea of his little sister being married off to a man from a distant and unknown land unsettled him.
Though Solomon respected his father’s decision, the fact remained that Solina was about to be thrust into a world far removed from the comfort and security of Valoria. No matter what political benefits the marriage might bring, no matter how crucial the alliance was, it didn’t sit right with Solomon to let his sister move to such an unfamiliar and isolated place by herself.
That was why Solomon had volunteered to lead the Valorian military contingent in Paradis himself. He wasn’t going to leave Solina’s future to chance or leave her unprotected in a place surrounded by unknown threats. If Solina was to marry Levi Ackerman, Solomon wanted to see for himself whether this man—this supposed "Humanity's Strongest Soldier"—was even worthy of her.
Solina, sitting quietly beside her mother, watched the her brother stare down Captain Levi. She knew Solomon’s protectiveness all too well—he had always looked out for her, ever since they were children. Even now, as the Crown Prince, with countless responsibilities, he still made time for her, ensuring that she was never left vulnerable or alone. It warmed her heart to know that he cared so deeply, but it also made her nervous. She appreciated his presence, but she didn’t want him to think poorly of Levi.
Levi’s gaze, while focused on Solomon, had the slightest flicker toward Solina, catching her watching them. Solina quickly averted her eyes, feeling a mix of embarrassment and warmth at the same time. Her brother had always been her protector, and though she was grateful for it, this situation was different. She was about to enter a new phase of her life, and no amount of protectiveness could shield her from the reality of what lay ahead.
The Emperor, sensing the silent tension between Solomon and Levi, smoothly continued the conversation. “Prince Solomon will ensure that Valoria’s military presence in Paradis strengthens all three of your regiments—the Survey Corps, the Garrison, and the Military Police. He is one of Valoria’s most decorated soldiers, and I have full confidence in his ability to lead alongside your forces.”
Armin, ever the strategist, nodded thoughtfully. “That would greatly bolster our defenses, especially given the looming threat of Marley.”
Solomon, tearing his gaze away from Levi, addressed the room more broadly now. “Our forces will be fully prepared to assist. We have trained extensively for combat in various terrains, and our strategic advisors will work with your commanders to ensure that every regiment is fortified.”
The conversation resumed, focusing on the logistics of military deployment and strategy, but Solina’s mind was still on Levi and her brother. She appreciated that Solomon cared so deeply for her, that he was willing to leave Valoria to make sure she was safe in Paradis. Yet, she couldn’t help but feel a twinge of anxiety. Her brother might not think Levi was good enough for her, but from what she had seen so far, she wasn’t so sure. There was something about Levi, something in the way he held himself, in his quiet strength, that gave her a sense of reassurance she hadn’t expected.
Solomon cast one last glance at Levi before turning his attention fully to the discussion at hand. Solina, still sneaking glances at Levi, felt a small sense of comfort in knowing that no matter what happened, her brother would always be looking out for her. But as her eyes drifted back to Levi, she wondered if perhaps he might be the protector she needed in the future.
For now, though, it was clear that both men would be carefully watching each other—one, a prince determined to protect his sister at all costs; the other, a soldier who had sworn to carry out his duty, no matter what that entailed.
…
The meeting finally drew to a close, the weight of decisions made hanging over the room. The Valorian officials, along with the Chancellor, bowed politely to the Emperor before making their exit. The large double doors shut with a soft thud, leaving behind a sense of quiet relief that the formal discussions had ended for now. The Emperor and Lady Solana remained seated, along with their children, Solomon and Solina, and the scouts.
The Emperor stood slowly, his posture as dignified as ever, and offered a cordial nod to the scouts. “I trust the discussions today were fruitful. You will be shown to your quarters where you can get some rest and prepare for this evening’s banquet.”
Lady Solana smiled warmly, her gaze softening as it fell on Solina, who sat demurely beside her. “Yes, please rest while you can. Tonight, you’ll meet the rest of our family,” she said gently, her eyes flickering with maternal affection before she looked back at Levi and the others.
Prince Solomon, however, still hadn’t fully shaken off the protective tension he felt toward his sister. His green eyes continued to assess Levi, subtly sizing him up once more, as if testing him with every glance. His thoughts were clear: Is this the man worthy of my sister?
Lady Solana, noticing her son’s behavior, let out a soft sigh of exasperation and scolded him lightly. “Solomon,” she said in a hushed tone, “enough. Captain Levi will be your sister’s husband, and you must give him a chance. This is not the time to challenge him.”
Solomon’s lips tightened, but he gave a curt nod, stepping back slightly and keeping his thoughts to himself. His protective instincts for Solina remained strong, but he understood his mother’s point. His eyes briefly met Levi’s, and though the intensity remained, there was a begrudging respect that flickered there, acknowledging Levi’s calm and unshakable demeanor.
The Emperor, noticing the subtle exchange, shifted the conversation. “You are all invited to join us for dinner tonight in the main banquet hall,” he said, his voice steady but filled with purpose. “There, you will meet my other consorts and all of my children.”
Levi glanced at the Emperor, nodding his acceptance. Formal dinner with the entire imperial family was a strategic opportunity, not just a social gathering. The scouts were aware of the politics involved, and Levi, especially, understood that this would be a chance to observe the dynamics of the Valorian royal family firsthand.
The Emperor continued, his tone becoming slightly more personal. “Captain Levi,” he said, his eyes resting on him for a moment, “I would like to give you and my daughter, Princess Solina, a chance to speak tonight in a more relaxed setting. The formality of these discussions may have overwhelmed her, and I believe it is important that you both have an opportunity to know each other beyond these political meetings.”
Levi’s gaze flicked toward Solina, catching her shy, downcast eyes for a moment before she quickly looked away again, flustered. He could sense her nervousness, and her inability to keep her eyes from wandering toward him throughout the meeting hadn’t gone unnoticed. It was clear she was trying to make sense of the man she was meant to marry, just as much as he was trying to understand her. The Emperor seemed pleased by Solina’s reactions, as if her intrigue, combined with her flustered nature, reminded him of his own early days with Lady Solana.
Indeed, the Emperor’s smile softened ever so slightly. “In fact,” he added, his gaze turning warm as he glanced between Levi and his wife, “Solina’s behavior reminds me quite a bit of how Lady Solana was when we first met.”
Lady Solana chuckled at the memory, her face lighting up with affection as she looked at her husband. “I was just as nervous as Solina, if not more,” she admitted with a playful tone. “But look where we are now.” She turned to Levi, her eyes twinkling with excitement. “Captain Levi, tonight you’ll have the pleasure of hearing Solina play the harp. She’s been practicing a beautiful piece especially for this evening.”
Hange, who had been quietly observing, perked up at this, her curiosity evident. “Oh? The harp? I’ve heard Princess Solina is a virtuoso. I’d love to hear her play.”
Lady Solana nodded, beaming with pride. “She is,” she said softly, looking fondly at her daughter. “Music has always been her greatest passion, and she has spent years perfecting her craft.”
Levi remained outwardly stoic, but he couldn’t deny that he was intrigued. He had heard much about Solina’s musical abilities, and it seemed that she was not only a princess but also someone with a true artistic gift. For a brief moment, he wondered what her music would sound like. Would it be as shy and delicate as she seemed, or would there be a hidden depth and strength in her playing?
“I look forward to it,” Levi said simply, though there was a sincerity in his tone that didn’t go unnoticed.
Princess Solina’s face turned a shade pinker at his words, her heart fluttering with nervousness and anticipation. She had never performed in front of someone like Levi before—someone who wasn’t from her world of royalty or politics but from the battlefield, someone hardened by war and violence. Yet, the thought of sharing her music with him, of letting him see a part of her that wasn’t defined by duty, made her feel slightly less afraid of what was to come.
The Emperor stood, signaling the end of the conversation. “Very well, I will have the attendants escort you to your quarters. Take some time to rest and refresh yourselves before the banquet. We shall meet again tonight.”
As the scouts stood to follow the attendants, Levi glanced once more at Solina. She was still trying—and failing—to avoid looking at him, but this time, when their eyes met, she held his gaze for just a moment longer than before. There was something unspoken in that brief exchange—a curiosity, perhaps even a small spark of hope that this arrangement, though political, might not be as cold and distant as it seemed.
With that, the scouts left the room, and the Valorian family watched them go, each member with their own thoughts about what the future held for their empire and this newfound alliance with Paradis.
Tonight, the real test would begin.
…
As the scouts made their way down the long corridors of the palace, they were escorted by the same attendants who had greeted them earlier. The opulence of the palace had lost none of its initial impact—everything from the polished marble floors to the grandiose tapestries hanging on the walls spoke of Valoria’s wealth and power. The soft clinking of their boots on the floor echoed through the halls as they were led to their quarters. The discussions had been heavy, and now that the formalities had passed, the weight of it all began to settle in.
Once inside their assigned quarters, a large, well-furnished suite with soft beds and elaborate decor, the scouts finally had a moment to relax. Hange, ever the bundle of energy, was the first to speak.
“Well, that was quite the introduction, wasn’t it?” she said with a grin, plopping down on one of the plush chairs. “The Emperor, Princess Solina, Lady Solana, Prince Solomon—all of them are something else. Valoria is unlike anything I imagined.”
Armin nodded thoughtfully as he looked around, still processing the grandeur of the palace. “It’s incredible. I mean, we knew Valoria was powerful, but seeing it firsthand—it's a whole different experience. The Emperor is clearly a calculated man, but I think he’s genuinely interested in securing this alliance. For now, at least.”
Jean, who had been standing by the window and peeking out at the bustling palace grounds, turned back to the group. “Yeah, but what about Prince Solomon? Did you see the way he was eyeing Levi? It was like he was trying to figure out if you were worth anything, Captain.”
Hange chuckled at that, glancing at Levi. “Well, I suppose it’s only natural. You are going to marry his little sister. Can’t blame the guy for wanting to size you up.”
Levi, who had been mostly quiet throughout the walk back, leaned against the wall, arms folded across his chest. He hadn’t missed the scrutiny from Solomon, nor did it particularly bother him. What was on his mind, however, wasn’t Solomon or even the Emperor’s plans. It was Princess Solina.
Throughout the meeting, he had noticed many things about her—subtle, quiet observations that seemed to gather in his mind the more he thought about her. Solina had been trying to hide her nervousness, but it was clear in her shy glances, the way she had fidgeted ever so slightly in her seat, and how she had been caught off guard when her father had asked her a question. She seemed unused to situations like this, where so much was expected of her.
Levi’s thoughts drifted to her appearance—how delicate she seemed in that pink gown, her red hair cascading down her back in soft curls. It wasn’t just her physical beauty that struck him, though it was undeniable. Her hair was vibrant, like a fire, and her skin had a soft, porcelain quality to it. But it was her eyes that held his attention. Green, like the deepest forest, and yet, behind their shyness, there was something else. Curiosity, perhaps. A quiet strength, hidden beneath the surface.
He also couldn’t help but think about the way she had looked at him, sneaking glances when she thought he wouldn’t notice. Each time he caught her, her face flushed with embarrassment, but there was something about it that didn’t feel just like awkwardness. She seemed intrigued by him—curious, just as he was about her.
“She’s definitely not what I expected,” Levi muttered, almost to himself.
Hange, ever the nosy one, perked up at Levi’s comment. “Oh? And what exactly did you expect, Levi?”
Levi shot her a glance but didn’t rise to the bait. “Someone more… formal. She’s quiet, shy. Not used to this kind of pressure.”
Armin, who had been observing Levi, smiled slightly. “Well, it’s not easy being thrown into a political marriage. She’s probably just as nervous as you are, Levi. She’s never even met anyone from Paradis before.”
Jean snickered. “Nervous? Levi? I think it’s more like she’s terrified. The poor girl couldn’t even look at you without turning red.”
Levi didn’t respond, but the memory of Solina’s flustered reactions flashed in his mind. He wasn’t used to people being so easily unnerved around him—especially someone from a royal family. She was young, probably no more than a few years younger than him, and he wondered if this marriage would be just another burden placed on her shoulders, another duty she had to fulfill.
“What did you think of her, Levi?” Hange asked, her curiosity piqued. She leaned forward, resting her elbows on her knees. “I mean, you are going to marry her, after all.”
Levi paused for a moment, choosing his words carefully. “She’s… different from what I imagined,” he finally said. “Not just because of how she looks. She’s nervous, yeah, but there’s something else. She’s curious.”
Armin nodded. “I think she’s trying to understand this situation just as much as you are. It can’t be easy for her either—moving to Paradis, marrying a soldier she’s never met. I bet she’s feeling the pressure.”
Levi sighed quietly, pushing off from the wall and standing up straighter. “Maybe. It’s not like we’ve got much of a choice in this. Neither of us do.”
Despite his usual reserved nature, Levi couldn’t deny that Solina had left an impression on him. He had spent years on the battlefield, hardened by war and loss, and yet here was this shy, quiet princess who was about to be tied to him for the sake of politics. She seemed fragile in some ways, yet he sensed there was more to her than just her nervousness and beauty. He was intrigued by her, though he wasn’t sure why just yet.
Armin’s voice broke through his thoughts. “Well, tonight’s dinner should be interesting. We’ll meet the rest of the royal family, and we’ll get to see how they all interact. Plus, we’ll get to hear Princess Solina play the harp. That’ll give us a better sense of her.”
Levi nodded, his thoughts now on the dinner ahead. “Yeah. We’ll see.”
As the conversation wound down, Levi found himself alone with his thoughts once more. Tonight, he would not only meet more members of this foreign family, but he’d also have the chance to observe Solina further. Maybe, just maybe, he’d get a clearer picture of who she really was—beneath the crown and the expectations.

Finally finished Team Pretentious (affectionate, and also not actually sdnkfdgsd) for the Royal!Legacy AU, and you can prolly see why they took longer than these guys :V
Lloyd is the High Central Prince, only son to the Emperor and Empress of the Central Kingdom. Their Province is supposed to be dedicated to communications and maintaining stable connections with the other kingdoms, given their perfect geographical positioning for the job, but his father has overly ambitious plans to expand their territory and unite all the kingdoms under one rule instead, which...Lloyd doesn’t entirely agree with. Does his best to maintain good relations with everyone despite his father pushing him to “prove that they’re superior”, and genuinely just doesn’t want to start trouble. He...doesn’t actually that big of a role in the romance side of things (or really at all) but I didn’t want to leave him out ;w;)/
Zane is the grandson of the elusive ruler of the Northern Kingdom, a Province that thrives on tactical strategy and battle maneuvers...but doesn’t actually use any of it, instead putting more efforts into just making sure everyone else leaves them alone. But with his grandfather and his father both recently passed, the current Ice Queen realizes that Zane is becoming quite lonely, and to mend the disconnect with the others kingdoms they embark to attend the Western Kingdom’s Spring Festival for the first time in decades...thus, it’s understandable that they may have gotten a little lost along the way.
Harumi is the adopted Imperial Jade Princess of the East, torn between thriving on her power and despising the expectations that come with it. She believes in the High Emperor’s ambitions for uniting the kingdoms under his name (primarily because she believes it will dissolve the rest of the royals of any proper responsibility, and thus end the obsession with upholding old traditions/keeping up appearances), blind to exactly what the High Emperor would actually do. In the meantime, she’s known for studying up on Deception Magic, and winds up using it to assist Jesse in his pursuits for Cole (mostly to shake everything up a little, but who knows, maybe all the crazy people she gets involved with just might grow on her).
Skylor is the Princess of the Archipelago, a kingdom that’s had bad blood with the Southern Kingdom in the past. Despite that, they’re also a nation of trade and export, even moreso than the South, leading Skylor’s father to amass a large amount of wealth via the economy + him marrying into royalty, and loves to flaunt it when he can...even by decorating his own daughter to the nines, shoving her off to the latest royal get-together, and hoping she’ll catch the eye of someone equally as influential and powerful. And, if not, he’ll probably send her off to the highest bidder. Too bad she’s already caught the eye of the current heir of the Southern Kingdom, although forced to keep their relationship secret...but, perhaps once she’s inspired by the other royals and one gardener, maybe she’ll make a move to change things?

The Refugee: Chapter 13
Masterlist link
The dust had predictably settled in Magnus and Loki's friendship, during the weeks Lea removed herself from their company. They both admitted this observation to each other. Loki noted the irony that for a person so in search of peace, she certainly caused a disruption of it between the lifelong friends. “You can't blame that on her, Loki,” Magnus said. Loki's eyes were bloodshot. He had just come from his confrontation with Lea in the linguistics wing and had just finished telling Magnus everything.
“No. No I don't,” he said, surprisingly softly, swirling his fingertip thoughtfully around the rim of his glass. “Sometimes fate simply arranges the pieces of the game as she wishes, and even a king is powerless against it.” He sighed. “Sometimes I wonder what ever happened to that nervous, docile little barmaid I met months ago. She was so sweet, uncertain...her strength so locked away behind that wall of courtesy. Terrified to stand up for herself. But you know, Beatrice, she warned me that this one had iron in her spine after all and I was desperate to find it.”
“Isn't that why you wanted her? You happened to her Loki. You made her fight, and I have to admit you made her stronger, even if I don't agree with your methods. You happened to her and she happened to us.”
“That she did,” Loki agreed. He said it almost mournfully, swigging his liquor.
“Are you actually going to do what you promised?”
“For once, yes. It will take years of work, but it will be worth it to make my empire align with my vision again.”
“Stop it, you prick! You love making it sound like it's all about your grand plan and great leadership. You're doing it because she shamed you. She actually managed to humble you, Loki. You. I know Morhari aren't supposed to have magical powers but, I'll be damned, she must.” Loki looked too sorrowful to be angry. Magnus stopped prodding him and silence fell for a moment. “You really love her, don't you? In your own stupid, awful way, you love her.”
“I have to summon her to my chambers. I told her from the beginning this would be part of her service here, and I never fulfilled my words. I have to have her. I can't stand to wait any longer, Magnus. I need her.” The bare desperate neediness in Loki's eyes was alarming to his oldest friend.
“No...Loki. I was just beginning to have hope you still had a heart under all that ice. You can't force her to love you back. You'll only hurt her terribly.”
“You only say that because you want her for yourself!” he yelled.
Magnus replied, level and calmly. “No, old friend. I say that because I do love her. Without force. Without expectation. Regardless of how else I might want her.” He paused, looking to his friend with pain in his vibrant eyes. “There's nothing I can do to stop you, is there?”
“No,” Loki replied darkly.
Magnus glared, feeling betrayed and furious. “Well, be sure to send her to me for medical care afterwards. Whatever you decide to do. I'm sure there will injuries.”
“Get out!” Loki bellowed at his friend.
“I hate you,” Magnus said, but for the first time in all these years, he didn't say it playfully, or sarcastically, or as a cryptic way to say “you're my friend and I love you.” He said it genuinely, deliberately. He hated him. He wouldn't forgive him for this.
“I hate you, too.” Loki said, but meaning it in the way they had always meant it. Trying to say he loved him.
----
Magnus hadn't been looking for Lea very long when he found her in the smaller ballroom; the one where Loki had taught her to dance. She seemed to be dancing a slow balletic style of dance, not at all what he thought he would see, after Loki described how exciting and sultry her performance at the tavern was. He was always hoping to see her dance. Loki was always saying how he would provide legendary Morhari dancing as entertainment for his court, but had yet to do so. He suspected the emperor had some lingering guilt over the introduction ball. Having paraded her around like a zoo animal the first time and suffering the fallout, he was probably reluctant to do so again. Regardless, Magnus was glad to see she was continuing to practice her beloved dances in private. He couldn't stop watching her. The tone of the piece seemed thoughtful and tragic. On a turn she finally noticed him, and abruptly stopped.
Magnus blurted out, a little embarrassed, “I'm sorry. Please, don't let me stop you.”
She smiled. “No. That's okay. I was about to stop anyway.”
“That was beautiful. Rather different from a sword dance though isn't it?”
“Yes, it is. This one isn't performed for entertainment. It's often done in private. It's a mourning meditation for the dead and for the suffering. It's a dedication to them. This one I dedicated to the Vanir,” she said looking sad and distant across the field of her memories.
“It was beautiful, Lea. I'm sorry to have interrupted...but...I have to...” She looked on, waiting patiently for him, throat tightening and stomach dropping to anticipate bad news. He took her hands. “Lea. He's decided to summon you to his bedchamber soon. I wanted to at least warn you.” His heart shattered at the look in her eyes.
“No...Magnus... No, please. I'm confused. I'm not ready. I'm afraid...doesn't he know that?”
“He knows, Lea. I'll keep trying to dissuade him but I have to be honest. I don't think it will work. I...I hate to bring this up, but it will be worse if I don't. As a doctor, I need to provide you with medicine for protection...and probably something for the pain later.”
She was miles away, saying flatly, “Morhari are only able to have offspring with other Morhari, so I'm safe there. As for the pain...” she winced, as if already anticipating what kind of torment he might put her through, “I'm not sure what to expect.”
Magnus looked at her so lovingly, tears openly pouring from his beautiful leaf-green eyes, pale skin reddening with mixed emotions of sadness and anger. She, on the other hand, couldn't shed a tear, stuck in a place of numb shock. When she realized Magnus was sobbing she came closer, holding his face and wiping his tears with her warm little hands, stroking his glimmering hair out of his eyes. She hugged him tight, pulling his head to her shoulder as his tears soaked the fabric. He broke away and wiped his face.
“You're about to go through something horrible, and you're the one comforting me. I'm such a failure, Lea. I thought I could help him and change him. I thought I could protect you and change his mind.”
“Don't blame yourself, Magnus, please. You are so important. You've saved me here so many times. Could you imagine how much worse it would be without you to be his conscience?”
Magnus nodded.
Lea looked him in the eyes with so much compassion and sadness, trying to force out a tiny grin. “Can I tell you something that might make you feel better?”
“Of course, anything.”
She looked down, suddenly nervous, fidgeting with her hands. “I always really hoped that my first kiss would be from you. You're so kind. But I wasn't sure if...”
He interrupted her by suddenly closing the distance between them, lifting her face to his, and burying both hands passionately into her hair as he pressed his lips to hers. He was like a furnace, combusting with anger and love all at once. He had accumulated yearning for her like a great mountain of tinder in his heart, and finally hearing the words he'd longed for rolling off her sweet lips ignited him; propelled him to taste those same lips. He tasted like the salt of his tears, and smelled like citrus and fresh air. Surprised, exhilarated, and unsteady, her hands gripped his surprisingly sturdy shoulders. As he pulled her closer, a hand found its way around her waist. Very gently, he parted her lips with his, taking a moment to see if she was receptive to deepening the kiss. Without hesitation, she welcomed him inside; his lips, his tongue, his teeth playing with her own. He was drunk on her sweet honeydust smell, his long warm fingers dancing along her smooth skin and hair. She snaked both hands from his shoulders, up the nape of his neck to bury them in the bright silk of his tresses. She broke the kiss to say quietly, her forehead resting on his, “I've wanted to touch your hair like this since I first saw you but I didn't know how to ask.”
“You needn't have been so shy. I would have let you. It feels divine. I've wanted this for so long, Lea. I've dreamed of this but never dared to hope you felt the same way,” he said grabbing her waist with both hands as she buried both of hers into the rich orange locks. His full pink lips savored hers a little longer, then moved ever so lightly to her neck before traveling back up to her cheek. He stopped there with a slow, thoughtful peck. He knew, if he took them any closer to the edge of the plank, they would both walk off of it, and knowing Loki, that might cost one or both of them their lives. They settled into the bittersweet moment of their waning kiss, feeling and hearing the waves of each others slowing breath, arms still draped around each other, staring into each other's eyes. Magnus spoke first. “Well, I hope that was everything you hoped for.”
“It was. It was more perfect and beautiful than I even imagined.”
He held her tightly then. “Well, that's at least one thing he can't take from you.”
They stayed like that for a long while just holding each other in both grief and elation, alone in the vacant ballroom.
-----
The next morning Magnus was pleasantly surprised to see Lea again on the weapons training ground. She was in the process of improving her skills with the scimitars. The coaches, after some convincing, were helping her find ways to avoid or defend against stronger and stronger magical attacks. It was frustrating to train for situations where she would inevitably lose, but the goal was to mitigate damage rather than claim a victory.
Magnus didn't train very often, having no interest in violence, but it was required every so often to keep his skills up should he ever be called in as battlefield medic. By the time he reluctantly arrived, she was already panting and sweating in full armor, sparring with a burly man who was hurling fire attacks at her. She managed to cleverly get close enough to have one scimitar at his neck, at least managing to corner him without magic. It wouldn't be enough for her to really win in an actual battle, but it would be enough to buy her time to run. She and her trainer shook hands and Lea came his way. Magnus was smiling like a silly schoolboy, ear to ear, as he saw her, the memory of their kiss still floating in his mind, sweet and intoxicating. “That was impressive!”
“Thank you. It'd be a lot more impressive if I had even a little magic to go with it. It's frustrating. Training, but knowing you're going to lose, just strategizing for the best loss.” He nodded, feeling sad that this seemed to be her lot in life for so many things. She walked with him to his end of the training site, deep in thought. She finally spoke saying, “You know, I was thinking about how in school we were trained so much on sword craft, combat, and especially strategy. We don't have magic, of course, so we tired to learn how to get around it. But we're also a proud people with a reputation for bravery...running into battle. I was always teased by my classmates. I always hesitated too long. I was always thinking too long about the best plan rather than jumping in for honor and glory. I always looked for the path of least resistance, willing to give up and run when it simply didn't make sense to fight. I am a coward, Magnus. I always have been.”
“You're a survivor Lea, not a coward. What's wrong with taking the most logical course in a desperate situation?”
“For a long time, I thought nothing was wrong with it, but I realize after so many years of surrendering, it gets easy to forget yourself...forget how to fight for what you want, forget how to want or express anything at all. You just become a fearful ghost.”
“You're here, Lea, in the flesh. You're brave and strong, and you're not a ghost,” he said, placing a hand against hers as if to prove his point, making them both grin at each other. Her smile faded as a messenger found her with an envelope. She and Magnus both knew what it would say. She opened it, read it, and simply nodded to Magnus that it was what he thought.
“When?”
“Tonight.”
He hugged her, achingly reluctant to let her go. Finally she said, “I guess it's time for another inevitable surrender.”
Then she turned around striding into the castle, looking as if the weight of the world hung upon her shoulders, heavier than any armor.

March 🌞 2024 Monthly - Capricorn
Preshuffle: Something you see or hear at/regarding work hits you in a way that, it hurts! Really hurts your feelings, but you also don’t know if it should or if someone *meant* to hurt your feelings. Were they even talking about you? You don’t speak up so you don’t know. Some of you have a crush on someone at work and it’s that person, for others it could be something regarding how someone looks. Or maybe you, again you don’t know. You’re worried maybe someone doesn’t like you at all.
Meditation: Short & sweet but cute as hell. Your door, was on the floor, and I had to “drop in” to get in, but it was made of ice cream sandwich. The actual door was. So I dropped in & took a bite of your door and you chuckled, cut off the piece I bit (germs hello) and replaced that spot, good as new. I asked what was this for and your eyes kinda sparkled when you said “I’m drawing them in.” Really, with ice cream? Yes! You knew what you were doing 🤷🏻♀️
Main energy: The Hermit
Oracles being Trap (connected to and mimicking 4 Swords), Self-Love, Principle, and Illness at the bottom which refuses to not be acknowledged - so it’s important. The Hermit is clarified by The Devil, and this energy is better than ice cream any day ijs. Or is that the trap? 🤔 Whooo I heard that and gasped 😱 it gave me goosebumps! Ok I don’t like that…moving on. Not for everyone, definitely for someone. For some of you, illness or addiction may be involved, health on some level. The Hermit goes inward, these are things you’re privately working through, taking a hard honest look at yourself and your own issues. Or…setting a trap for someone with that behavior, maybe you’re suspicious of someone proven as a Devil but acting as if they’ve changed. Have they though? You’re going deep within to figure that out - alone. Because these two cards specifically tackle codependency and breaking free from that - however it’s affecting you. A person, an addiction, a mindset, something that’s kept you in chains or threatens to? At the bottom is a lot of work, literally could be work, or you’re putting more into yourself independently because it’s necessary. Self care, healing, sleeping better, could be medical issues too.
What’s going on in March:
4 Swords:
Some of you are just done with love, the last experience probably kicked your butt, you have inner work to do and don’t want anyone else getting in the way of that. If you’re choosing to be alone, then you mean business, it’s not something you can be coerced with. The Emperor sets boundaries, and at the bottom of the deck there’s a pattern of abandonment, either in you or towards you, you realize this isn’t healthy and you’re actively taking steps to work on bettering yourself. Good for you 👏 Some of you may be dealing with a father figure / ex spouse perhaps, they could be dealing with health problems and want to make amends for past transgressions. This may be you too, if you have health issues (could just be sick sometime this month), then someone you’ve not been getting on well with could use this as the opportunity to “take care of” you and relight a spark. Do nice things. Idk if it actually is a trap or you just see it that way, what I get from someone else seems genuine. Judgement at the bottom is a hard review of past decisions & everything that’s happened, someone is sorry. Victory under that. Whether you believe them or not…🤷♂️ Could be you with the same energy, swooping in to save the day, or that was the intention. The trap.
Queen of Swords:
Clarified by Ace of Swords, 3 Pentacles, The Empress at the bottom. Likely a partner or parents. Great cards coming out so far, I was kinda expecting more doom & gloom, but no. For some of you it could literally be a Hermit mentality that’s becoming toxic, people want you around, likely your parents if that’s the case, could be grandparents, aunt/uncle or aunt/aunt idc, a pair you’re close (ish) to. The more feminine energy of the pair is the one trying to get you to come around, calling you, sending you some kind of news or invite, maybe for a coming holiday, it’s their excuse to see you again. Could be an ex if you’ve recently split, or your partner if not. They’re not being emotional at all, but they’re communicating to you with a sense of fairness, honesty, all positive cards at the bottom of the deck, this person sees you warmly & feels good to be around you 😊 They could ask for your help with something, also as an excuse, but I’m seeing it’s not manipulative or anything, they just want to work together. The image I’m getting is my own grandma calling my dad every year to set up her window air conditioner. She genuinely needed it but she liked asking *him*. Was it a “trap” yeah and also, go see Grandma 😆
If this is a private thing, both of these may be your energy and you’re separating yourself from just about everyone, seeing the truth of a matter, a cycle, and setting up strict rules & boundaries with anyone interacting with you going forward. Self-Care 💜 You’re not going to argue, it’s not drama, it’s you knowing what you need or don’t need, what’s good and bad for you, raising your standards. Probably because you’ve experienced the bad stuff, or you’re more intellectual with all of these swords, I don’t see emotions really appealing much to you. “Love” is a trap, but teamwork is essential.
Judgement:
Your attitude towards a reconnection of some kind is just not enthused at all. It’s like you don’t even care…could be a lack of emotions showing up as “illness”. I’m not a doctor so, no examples, I’m not even seeing any. Devoid of a deeper emotional connection, or enough experience with something to know better. Judgement feels like actual judgement, a reconnection is available for someone but most are internalizing and keeping to themselves. Whatever wants to reunite, you don’t. Or they don’t. Mostly because there are heavy emotions involved, hidden at the bottom, and they’re not being talked about. If you address it, you’re going to feel it, and if you feel it, you’re just going to be sad. So you stay alone and don’t, you don’t have to care in this headspace, you just work and focus on what’s in front of you. Comfortably Numb - is what I heard. The Devil.
For those where reconnecting doesn’t apply, you’re considering your work, everything you’ve been applying effort to, and you feel trapped either way. If you stay, you feel blocked, like things will never change, you could/should be appreciated more but you’re not. If you go, you’re just going to be sad you left and things are going to get worse, doom & gloom, there it is. The Devil 👿 Negative perceptions that keep you stuck, even if they’re based off of real things or past experiences, The Fool is something brand new, it’s not *the same* experience. Some of you realize this and may be seeking clarity on these mental judgements or behaviors even that keep you stuck. Probably privately, I’m not seeing a counselor here, but if it exists you recognize it. Someone may have flat out told you with this Queen of Swords energy.
Strength:
Strength conquers The Devil, that’s what you want to see, by refraining to be trapped, engage, or deal with anything involving this behavior - even in yourself. Re-tuning your own mind, if it jumps to the negative conclusion, questioning your own self. Now why would I think that? Oh, because I’m conditioned to. It isn’t easy, some of this may have come from parents in the first place (even well-meaning or healthy ones). The Hanged Man clarifies, so not only is your magnifying glass to yourself and your own bs, but Judgement with this row shows you’re also studying those around you and gauging where certain behaviors or beliefs may have come from. Why am I like this?? Essentially. The deeper motivations of people. Very powerful energy this month, heavy major arcana. Principle in your oracles show that this is based on a personal moral/belief system for you. Regardless of what others have taught, said, think, whatever, for YOU this is a spade, I’m allergic to spades. No spades by me. You can like spades and that’s fine but keep that shit over there because no. Or whatever it is.
At the bottom is a couple again, could be a person, could be parents. You don’t want to connect to the emotion attached to this situation, it’s *pure* logic, and you think emotions are the trap. Love is a trap. But there is very deep love here, whether for parents, a spouse, a whoever they are. All Cups, the matching Cups pair, could be your soulmate even. It’s like you don’t see that or don’t want to, it’s easier to make decisions from an intelligent and moralistic viewpoint than letting emotions get involved because then things get messy. Deep down it’s like you love something deeply and have sadness or regret, but it’s buried under all of this maturity belief system bs, and it’s like yeah okay whatever AND, you love them. Period. Whoever. Whatever. /avoid
If it’s work, you may not see how much people actually care for and appreciate you. Closest thing to love, you are a valued member of a team even if others don’t always show it. Some of you need to stop being so logical and check in with your heart. Are you happy? Do you love this thing you do? Do people appreciate you? Is it actually toxic or no? You’re ignoring the emotion part of decision making, it can look great on paper all the way down the page and you still hate it or love it so - that matters 💯
6 Swords:
Moving away from drama, but clarified by The Hermit it seems more like moving away from Hermit energy. Page of Cups at the bottom can be a surprise, an invitation, flirty energy even. The Star follows as healing, a light in the dark to show you the way. Lucy from Indigo shows a friend. Someone is going to message you, and it may freak you out at first because you’re living in a cave or something, but it actually turns out well. It gets you out of your head (for a minute anyway) so you can see things differently. You only feel stuck. Maybe you were meant to be stuck to realize some shit. But you’re not “meant to be stuck” forever. Someone else’s love or kindness can trigger you to be nicer to yourself, and let go of some of these negative perceptions about the world, life, love, emotion, etc. If work, someone is likely to surprise you and make things better then even you thought they’d be. Love can access things that logic can’t, because nothing about love is logical. Doesn’t have to be romantic either, someone giving off love towards you, could be a sweet stranger, it doesn’t matter but it’s going to inspire you.
Signs you may be dealing with:
Virgo, Capricorn, Libra, Leo & Aquarius

This situation or time is one of rapid growth. The seeds that have been planted have germinated and taken root. Go with the flow of this growing time. You may find people and situations falling away from your life, as now they do not serve who and what you are becoming. It may be that your vibration no longer resonates with theirs. It’s okay, wish them well, be grateful for what they brought to you and you to them, and send them on their way. Room has now been made for new experiences, people, and situations to help you to your next level. If you are not feeling this shift right now, be prepared because it will soon come to pass.

We enter into March as:
Final Sunset 🌅 :
“A life has come to its spectacular conclusion.”
This is a reminder to cherish all of the beauty in your life, including endings. Spirit embraces you and the loss you are aware of at this time. When we watch a day’s sunset, we can recognize the beauty of an ending. All things have a completion, even life. This is the end of a long journey. It is a time to reflect on your part of history, and discover what you value most. This could be a long emotional road ending, or simply a project at work that took a lot of effort and time. Too often we look to what is “next”, and miss the spectacular beauty of the finale. Do not fear the completion. Stay in the now, cry, laugh, reflect. Be with the fullness of your experience.
What is to be learned in March:
Lucy From Indigo 💟:
“I’m so glad you’re in my life.”
If this card has come to you, then you’ve been graced with a connection and you are most fortunate. One of the most valuable assets in our lives is friendship. This is a reminder to be grateful for the people in your life, this itself raises our vibration to a higher level. If you are unhappy in any relationships, Lucy is a reminder that it is always in our power to change it. Whatever lack you are feeling in your life, if you give that to others, you will receive the very thing you feel deprived of. The time is now to become what we want to become. If you are withholding from anyone it is you who will suffer the consequences. Be the example and live this day with gratitude. Kindness is contagious. In order to be who we want to be, we must simply be that person, there is no mystery to being a good person. Good people do good things.
Purple may be a lucky color 💜

How would you rank the barians from least favorite to most favorite
OK SO. IVE BEEN SITTING ON THIS ASK FOR WEEKS CUZ I WAS WAITING UNTIL I HAD ACTUALLY SEEN ALL SEVEN BARIAN EMPERORS IN ACTION. and now well im done watching the series SO!! im glad I waited because over the course of the back chunk of zexal ii my opinions on all the emperors got jostled around so much AND I ENDED UP LIKING ALL OF THEM A LOT. so i guess caveat for this list: love all 7 of these guys so much, definitely one of my favorite "factions" of yugioh characters. my fuckign kids
anyway, from 'least' to most favorite
7. Girag: THIS FEELS SO MEAN. SORRY GIRAG like I said i love 'em all but I guess he's the one I like the least, if only because his design is.... unfortunate. And his backstory is......................... unfortunate. They really said "this black character didn't actually do any of his supposed achievements; a literal tanuki did them for him" and called it a day huh HHFDGSDFG Yugioh Not Fantastic Moments but what can ya do. He's still fun. I love his dub voice I genuinely do wonder if it being a bit of a Rocky Balboa impression was a deliberate choice (since he's buddies with Alito Boxer Kiddo Extraordinare).
6. Dumon: AGAIN. A LITTLE MEAN. SORRY DUMON FDHGSG he's grown on me a BUNCH since I started z2 mostly because i lesbianpilled him in my brain but he's gotta be #6 because his Barian form is probably my LEAST favorite of the bunch. I'm not big on his very flat eyes but I do love the idea that they're because He Cant Fucking See. His human form is so fucking funny they really librarypilled this guy so hard. He's low on the list but still dear to me. Definite Zexal Real One.
5. Marin: GOD. RIOMARINMERAG. I LOVE HER. I REALLY DO. her Barian form's color palette is just gorgeous and she has an awesome ice motif and she's a COOL SPORTY JOCK and she LOVES HER BROTHER but my GOD she suffers from Girl in a Yugioh Series SO BAD. THIS POOR GIRL IS FRIDGED FOR LITERALLY OVER HALF THE SHOW!!!! she does 1-3 cool things and They Shred Like Hell but there's just barely enough of her in the show for her to really blossom into one of my top favs :( don't worry sweetheart im coming
4. Mizar: ok so now we're getting into the territory of where I Just Really Like These Guys. I didn't give a SHIT about MizarMizael until the Moon Duel, and then I proceeded to give SO many shits about him. What can I say.... sad kiddo YGO character backstory gets me every time. I love that he pulled an Aporia and face-turned and tried to take on the Big Bad but fumbled so fucking hard he died in one turn. His Barian form is ROUGH, THOUGH. HIS SHADES OF YELLOW ARE TOO FUCKING CLOSE TO EACH OTHER PUT SOME MORE GREEN AND RED IN THERE. Anyway. Been cooking a trans woman Mizar headcanon for a little while now. estrogen and hooves could have saved her.
3. Nasch: I. really like Shark. I'm still sorting out favorites in my mind but Shark is definitely in my Top Five and I like him as Nasch by extension. Definitely one of the coolest Yugioh Rivals by absolute far. His slow growth as Shark from Mean Bully to Guy Who Cares So Much About His Friends just GUTS me!! This is what ygo's all about babeyyy!!! And the sheer amount of AWFUL SHIT that happens to this kid, MY GOD. He loses his sister over and over again and ends up with SO MANY LIVES ON THE LINE it's a fucking wonder he didnt have a turbo emotional breakdown and collapse. Also I love when characters have species identity crisis and claim to throw their humanity away<3 I know that one <333 ALSO his color palette is really good, I wish his pants were dark though.
2. Alito: ALITOOOOOOOO ALITO MY BI ITALIAN REP. he is latino to me. as well. anyway Alito is also one of my Absolute Top Favorite Zexal Characters I fucking love him. I love Tough Guy Who Kids Love. I love his Battlin Boxers. I love his narrative parallels to Nistro (also one of my fav characters). I love both his forms!! His Barian color palette rocks. ALL OF HIS DUELS GO SO DAMN HARD ESPECIALLY THE MYTHIRIAN NUMBER ONE AND HIS 'CONTROLLED BY DON THOUSAN' DUEL. He's just so good!!! His dynamic with Yuma makes my brain spin around. I need to draw him for real so bad. I hope they put him in Duel Links soon I will whoop and cheer and clap.
cmon. gotta be basic here but you know it's VECTOR!!!!!!!!!!! God he might be. My most favorite Zexal character. He is certainly the one making me the Most insane. I feel like a version of me from a different dimension made this character in a lab just to psychologically torment me. He's BONKERS, he's FUNNY, he's SO OBSCENELY EXPRESSIVE IT'S INSANE, he LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE MY BESTIE'S BLORBO, he LOOKS LIKE MY ART STYLE. Absolute Dana Monster Perfect Storm thats destroyed my house and my brain. And then they had to go and make him SAD!!! JUST TAKE ME TO THE VET AND PUT ME DOWN, MAN!!! s-tier yugioh character. top tier favorites hall of famer. i love him to bits. half my screenshot folder looks like this now
#ygo posting#THIS WAS SUCH A HARD COUNTDOWN BUT I GOT THERE. I DID IT#TL;DR I LIKE ALL OF THEM SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#asks#anonymous

Draw your swords
Summary: In order to keep Ravka intact, general Kirgan, the Darkling, must marry. Needless to say, he’s not happy about it, but neither is his bride.
Warnings: indicating smut, slight angst
============================
Standing at the altar, wearing his black kefta, the Darkling grinds his teeth at the closed door at the end of it.
Any moment now, the door will open and his bride will appear as an angel in white. Except, the Darkling preferred to think of her as devil incarnate.
Although her beauty is without faults, her mind is sharp and her tongue can be sweeter than honey, Y/N Y/L/N is everything the Darkling hates.
She's entitled, bratty, arguably manipulative and downright cruel. She's all that and more, at least to him. But the one thing he cannot forgive her for is her lineage. As a daughter of a man he sought to destroy, Y/N became general Zlatan’s bargaining chip.
“You must marry her and she must be included in all decisions concerning Ravka on my behalf, or we will declare independence.”
General Zlatan gave the emperor no room to argue on the matter, forcing the marriage onto them. As the emperor had no male descendants to marry off, the next in line was general Kirigan. And while the Darkling fought the emperor on this instance, he was given no choice – either marry Zlatan’s daughter or someone else will be ascending as a leader of the Second army.
"Is it too late to run?" Ivan turns to Kirigan and Fedyor with a breathless chuckle, earning a dirty look from the official Y/N insisted marries them. She caved on the Palace setting, but no one could bend her will on who it is that seals their marriage contract.
"You promised." Fedyor reminds him and Kirigan closes his eyes, letting out a heavy sigh.
"Maybe some promises are best broken. She'll be the death of Ravka." Licking his lips, the Darkling glances at the door as a faint noise is heard on the other side of the door.
‘Of me’, he thinks to himself, ‘She’ll be the death of me.’
“She is Zlatan’s daughter with no special powers”, Ivan scoffs, “What could she possibly do?”
"I'll make her just as unhappy as I am now. She's never going to love me and I most certainly will never love her," the Darkling huffs, straightening his back as his eyes narrow at the door. “Unhappy women are always dangerous.” He pauses, pursing his lips, “Even if they are just human.”
"You said this is a business deal, so think of it as such." Ivan raises an eyebrow, wondering why is love even on Kirigan’s mind. In all his time serving his general, Ivan never heard the word pass his lips before now.
"I will”, the Darkling rolls his tongue, focusing on Ivan and Fedyor again. "Tell me you’d fight with me to preserve Ravka if I walk away."
"Do whatever you want, but you better be fast because your bride is coming", Fedyor nods toward the grand opening of the grandiose door, revealing a vision in white and the veil covering her face.
"Fuck", the Darkling mutters under his breath, his heart jumping at the sight.
He watched her walk, his nerves gnawing away at him and all he could think about is why his heart is beating so fast. Why would he be nervous? She should be the one drowning in nerves instead of walking so confidently. Why is she not afraid of him?
Folding his shaky hands behind his back, the Darkling could have sworn every step she took closer made his heart drop further in his chest. It was only a matter of time before he had nothing left but to accept his destiny and take an ordinary woman such as Y/N as his bride. Oddly enough, he found comfort in her mortality. She would die eventually and he’ll be free of her. If she angers him or her father stirs up trouble, he’d make sure he’ll be free much sooner.
Finally in front of him, Y/N holds her breath as the Darkling reluctantly pulls the veil up, revealing her face.
When she first met him, it was on a field of scattered, mangled bodies. He looked at the sky like a man would look at a withered flower in which he no longer sees the beauty he plucked it for, thus destroying it.
And when he looked at her, Y/N forgot to breathe.
There are no traces of doubt, no evidence this isn't the happiest day of her life. If anything, the Darkling is in awe of her and her ability to maintain composure without showing the slightest inkling of her disdain for him. He’s looking for a weakness, studying her in order to find something, anything he could use to make her submit to him, but she’s not flinching. Her stare is unyielding, fierce, and she is unbowed, like a rose in the eye of a hurricane.
"You should have worn the white kefta. Black is for funerals", she notes, her voice low and cold and the Darkling can't help but scoff.
“Black is my color. Besides”, he leans in, pressing his lips against her cheek before whispering, "It is a funeral."
While the crowd whispered and awed over the little exchange, Y/N's lips twitched into a brief smile. Reaching out for his hand, she tilts her head to her left, hiding her face with the veil as she scowls at him.
The ceremony begins, but neither the Darkling nor Y/N can truly focus on a single word said. Y/N is busy wondering what she could do best to make his life hell. This isn’t exactly what she had in mind for her future either and being exchanged like a broodmare to delay a war is unforgivable. She couldn’t forgive her father for giving her over to a known monster, nor could she forgive her seconds-to-be husband.
He is cruel, manipulative, a beast hidden under a handsome built and he may be appealing to the eye, but she can feel he’s rotten inside.
The Darkling’s eyes are fixed on her, examining every single inch of her rather small sized body. Though her curves are undeniable, her height would leave him with a craned neck and back pain in the future. Inhaling sharply, he tried to understand why his thoughts of all the things he hates about her include ripping that wedding dress straight off her. She looks far too appealing in a dress for him to ignore and it sparks a fire to further fuel the flames of hate he’s tended to.
Either way, quicker than imagined, the Darkling found himself saying "I do", forcing a smile that matched the one she displayed. Unlike his cold smile that didn't reach his eyes, Y/N was capable of making her smile believable, enough for him to envy her acting skills.
"You may kiss the bride."
Licking his lips, Kirigan's eyes flicker to Y/N's lips. He never kissed her before, the human who perfectly portrayed an ice queen. It would be a lie if he said kissing her never crossed his mind, but it didn't feel like he'd willingly do so even if he had a chance. He didn’t desire her at all. He refused to allow himself as much.
Y/N glanced at the crowd, seeing their little whispers about how long Kirigan is taking and how they pity her for marrying someone like him – a dark shadow, an abomination even in their world.
She felt a shuddered breath pass her lips as Kirigan leaned into her, torturously slow and the worst part? He smells good, intoxicating kind of good. And whether she liked it or not, her heart fluttered as his lips grazed hers and his hand cupped her cheek.
The Darkling's heart quivered, his mind overflowing with frustration. He couldn't comply and kiss her wholeheartedly, but he found himself wanting to turn her over, to have his way with her.
She's infuriating, unlawfully cocky and unjustly stunning. No wonder hell is where most mankind would go considering the beauty of its tempting demons that poise as naïve angels.
Snapping out of the daze, she pulls back first, whispering against his lips. "Hope you enjoyed it, because it will be the last time you’ll ever taste my lips in your lifetime."
Blinking slow, the Darkling smirked, genuinely entertained. "We will see about that", and he took her words as a personal challenge.
He would melt the ice queen and have her on her knees, begging for his love before the year is done. He will demean Zlatan by turning his own daughter against him and he will do so with pleasure.

Shrub stares at the Wolf Spirit mask in her lap, the campfire casting flickering shadows over it. Around the fire pit, her wolves slept. She traced a finger around the eyehole of the mask, just….thinking. She had all she needed here. The wolves were her friends and the closest things she had to a people. If that’s the case, why does she feel so….
Before she could finish her thoughts, she was interrupted by the sound of a loud thud somewhere close behind her. Of course, she responded very bravely to this by screaming, flailing around, and falling on her back.
“Calm down, fungus girl. It’s just me.” The familiar voice of Emperor Joey came, and the man himself stepped into the light of the fire soon after.
“I—I don’t know who you mean. I’m the Wolf Spirit.” Shrug scrambled for the mask and held it over her face. Hoping.
“I already know it’s you. Since you put mushrooms on my fire temple.” Joey smiled and sat by the fire, so casual.
Shrub sighed and dropped the mask, readjusting herself so she was sat next to him. “Fine, it’s me. But don’t you go spoiling the secret to anyone else, or…or I’ll put more mushrooms in your temples.”
“Of course not. Wouldn’t want any mushrooms around.”
Shrub glanced around to make sure none of her wolves had been disturbed before turning back to Joey. “How’d you even find me? And why are you here anyway?”
“I flew and saw you from the air.” Joey tilted his head back to point at his wings. “And I was looking to see if I could bother you any, and then you were gone. So I decided to see where you were at.”
“Aw, I knew you loved me.” Shrub grinned and hit his arm.
“Oh, shut up.” He rolled his eyes, which meant that Shrub had won and he did love her. Point to friendship. “But anyway, what are you doing out here? Camping? Don’t you need, like, a tent?”
“Well….sort of.” She stared at the coals of the fire. “It’s a long story. I wouldn’t want to bore you with details.”
“I’ve got all night. Go ahead.”
Shrub glanced back at Joey, to see if maybe he was just trying to tease her or something. But he looked genuine, which was…..not new, but rare. She took a moment, to decide just what she wanted to trust him with. Scott knew the most of it and she hadn’t even told Katherine. But a good chunk of her did still want to trust Joey.
“Well….you know Scott had been a bit off the rails with his ice magic. Count Fwhip told me and I saw some of it for myself.” She started, looking back into the coals. “So me and Fwhip went to take the Xornoth crystal from him. Just in case. And I kept it in my enderchest because I thought that was the safest place. But I kept hearing things, like he was talking to me, and even before that I had seen my homeland, as it really was. And, I don’t know, I was scared so I brought it back to Scott and everyone else has said the crystal is dead and no one else was able to see my home restored so…so, I don’t know. All the gnomes are gone and my home is corrupted forever and my kingdom was built for nothing so I might as well live with the wolves because it’s the only genuine thing I have.”
She took a shaky breath, squeezing her eyes shut so she doesn’t have to cry about it. She hears rustling before she feels one of Joey’s wings wrap around her and pull her to his side. Shrub doesn’t tease him for it, it might come out as tears. It’s hard to know how much weight you’re carrying until you acknowledge it. So here she is.
“I’m sorry. You’ve had a pretty tough time since getting here.” Joey even sounded genuine now, which was rarer.
“Well, it’s not been all bad.” Somehow she felt the need to defend…something. This plane of existence. “There’s been nice things. But where I come from, I’m only a farmer’s daughter. I don’t know how to do a kingdom. And I built it so that if any gnomes escaped to here, they could find me and live there. But if they’re all gone….”
“I can’t even imagine how that must feel. I do know what it’s like to have to rebuild somewhere new. My old empire was destroyed, so me and whoever survived have had to run and rebuild here. But to lose it all…I really do hope that there’s a way to help your homeland and your people.”
“Well, probably not. Everyone seems to think it was like, a stress hallucination or something.” Shrub grumbled, glaring at the fire. “Scott and Fwhip and Katherine said the crystal isn’t even magic anymore.”
“They don’t know everything.” Joey shrugged. “Even if they act like it all the time. Maybe they just can’t tell. Just ‘cuz some people don’t know doesn’t mean you’re wrong. I mean, how many people even believed in Xornoth at first?”
Shrub grinned. “Joel still doesn’t.”
“Joel is a special one.” Joey laughed. “So you don’t wanna give up on it just because some people can’t tell. And even if worst comes to worst and there aren’t any gnomes left, you built the Undergrove yourself. It’s your home you made for yourself. It’s genuine enough just by that.”
Shrub thinks for a moment on that. “Since when did you get smart?”
“Oh you can it, I’ve always been smart.” Joey takes his wing back off her, but he’s smiling.
“I don’t know about it, you’ve had your moments.” Shrug smiled up at him. “I will think about it. But for now, I just don’t know.”
Joey nods. “I imagine. It has to be a lot. But hey, if you’re ever lost in any way, you can come find me.”
“Yeah and you can put me back in that cell, won’t you.”
“You are so rude to me, I literally only kidnapped you one time.”
They chatted on for a couple more hours, just about lighthearted things, before Joey had to go back to his own home. He told her again, that she’s always welcome in the Lost Empire, and then flew off.
Shrub moved over to lean against Mother Wolf and looked up at the stars. She was still learning these constellations. But she felt a little lighter, at least. At least she got to say something to somebody who cared. Maybe Joey had some points. Or maybe the others were right and she was crazy.
Either way. At least if she gets lost in her thoughts, she’ll find her way somewhere
#empires smp#i am the only one that treasures their friendship in this fandom#I simply think that joey who’s empire has to relocate would at least somewhat be able to understand the grief shrub is having#theyre friendship is based on bullying each other <3

Koko- Is a pussy eating MASTER 🥵

He is absolutely cunt obsessed, and his naturally giving personality combined with his slight oral fixation makes him unbelievably skilled
And WHATEVER you do...sit on his face
I cannot...just- 👏🏾...sit on his face, he will literally have hearts in his eyes if you do
Kiki Aomine- Has a hand kink 🤚🏾
Is it even possible to cum just from having your hands played with? With Daiki Aomine, it might just be.
He, like Kuroko (and truthfully, almost all of the members of the GoM) has an oral fixation
This, combined with his general appreciation for reasonably slim fingered, neatly manicured, moisturized hands leaves him very prone to nibbling, licking, biting and sucking on the phalanges of people he likes, and especially his boo thang
(And if you suddenly shove your fingers in his mouth to shut him up when he's being belligerent or overly cocky, I guarantee you will love the results)
Suki 'Sakibara- Is a slut for kisses 💋
As you probably have already deduced, Atsushi has one of the more serious oral fixations out of the guys
Specifically, as it relates to kisses
Atsushi loves to give, receive, share and steal kisses
He will positively pillage every crevice of your mouth with his slightly longer than average tongue, sometimes even throat fucking you with it
But he's not always entirely dominant
Initiate a deep, hungry kiss with him and take control, and you will have him on his knees
And I couldn't even fit in one paragraph the ways he would ruin you if you happened to suck on his tongue (which is code for DO. IT.)
Tata Midorima- Can really appreciate a nice firm/soft ass 👀
Shintaro Midorima will, with absolutely no shame or hesitation: slap, pinch, squeeze, smack, bite and jiggle your ass cheeks if you are his
This guy goes bonkers over a nice ass
He doesn't have nearly as much of an oral fixation as some of the others, but it occasionally rears its head
Oh, and I should mention, he's not entirely against having his own ass fondled either
Just food for thought 💭
Akashika- Adores titties 👌🏾
The Emperor loves tits
Breasts, boobs, milkers, sweater stretchers, whatever you wanna call em, he loves em
Perky tits are perfect for a paizuri
Small tits are just adorable and typically have sensitive nipples that are extremely fun to tease
Even bigger, hanging titties are excellent for sucking
And essentially all shape and size tits are appropriate for motorboating 😂
All that to say, Seijuro Akashi is 1000% a tit man
Tiger Kagami- LIVES to be your good boy 🐶
PLEASE whatever you do, CALL THIS MAN YOUR GOOD BOY
He WILL melt, this IS a threat
Taiga, while somewhat oblivious and initially not very focused on romantic relationships, is 100% the type to fall madly, deeply and you cannot convince me otherwise
(Also his love language is acts of service so him wanting to be your good boy is essentially a given 🙃)
He adores hearing you sing his praises, not in a narcissistic, self-absorbed way but in a genuine 'I would do anything to please you, please let me know I'm making you feel good' way
I imagine him as a service top all the time but he's also pretty submissive, so telling him he's a good boy is really the icing on the cake
Look, just...call him good boy, k? He deserves it.😊
Ryou-kun: Will love you foeva if you tie him up ⛓
BONDAGE.
BOND. AGE.
BONDAGE?
BONDAGE.
Tie him up, chain him down, gag 'im for cryin' out loud
Kise is very submissive, maybe even surprisingly so for some
He loves being pampered and taken care of in the bedroom
A bit of a pillow princess, I guess you could say
However, this also means that he absolutely doesn't mind not having control
As a matter of fact, he sort of craves it
The feeling of being helpless and exposed, at the mercy of someone he trusts and loves
This may seem a little 😳 but bear with me
Kise's a pretty boy, and he knows it (I mean how could he not when thirty different dudes remind him constantly 🙃)
Unfortunately, he's just a little shallow and takes great pride in his handsome face and sculpted body
But this translates into something else
He likes to made to feel like a slut
A good way to witness this desire is just by tying him up, gag included, and watching him squirm in his binds
Make passing comments about how whorish and sexy he looks and you'll draw from him a plethora of pretty sounds, namely whimpers and moans
Leave him like that for awhile and soon you'll have him begging to be used
He's your slut after all
Don't untie him though or he will begin whining 🙄
Take your time with him just like that and he'll be putty in your hands

My thoughts on Seabound!!! 🌊🌊🌊 (2/4)
SPOILERS ALERT!!!
For now, nothing to complain about! We got Nya, we got MAYA AND RAY, we got GILES PANTON BACK A LEGO SHOW!!! 😍😍😍
Of course now I'm definitely curious about what the story is really about, like I'm guessing Wojira will wake up at some point so... Great Devourer all over again maybe? 😅 Idk, for now I just wanna enjoy Nya having her moment 🥳
Alright, here we go!
GENERAL THOUGHTS
New alert for reader, during the Nexo Knights period I was and still am the hugest Clay fan. Now that his voice is in this season I might scream more than necessary... keep that in mind 😅
I love the humor in this, all random but still kinda clever 😂😂 Maybe I'm biased because I love Jay but still 🤷♀️
I really like the design of the marine world, very cool!! 🌊🌊🌊
I guess I'm not really seeing any big plot twist moment for now? Ninjago seasons have history of basing seasons on a "we need to prevent this event from happening but it will happen anyway", so I can see Wojira waking up no matter what 🤷♀️
I wonder if that will be shocking? Usually when this situation happen, someone makes a major sacrifice (Zane with the Overlord, sensei Garmaron with Chen, again sensei G with the Preeminent...). Maybe Maya? I DON'T WANT THAT 😭 But I am curious, everything is going nicely and I'm not sure what it will bring! 🤩 I'M EXCITED SO LET'S GO!!!
THE WRATH OF KALMAAR
So this is the name of Clay's new incarnation, neat! 👍
Okay really, for having a season lately the main character just can't help but be trapped by the villain: kinda Zane in the ICE Chapter, Jay in Prime Empire, Cole in Master of the Mountain... we can call it a tradition at this point 🤷♀️
Giant serpent, yadda yadda, I wonder if we're gonna address the Great Devourer at some point? Not mandatory, but the reference would be very cool 🤩
Clay's new incarnation is a prince I- *hyperventilates in awe*
Nya playing dumb lol, I don't know if that's personal experience as she used to get kidnapped a lot in the past or she just have too many idiots in her life 😂
ALSO ANOTHER BEST GIRL'S SMIRK
NYA YOU'RE TOO MUCH ILY ❤💙❤💙
Jay I love that you're so worried about Nya but maybe try NOT TO DIE? YOU'RE WITH LLOYD AND ZANE YET YOU'RE THE ONE GOING FOR THE SACRIFICE WTH?? 😱 But he's worried about his cool GF I kinda get it, also he didn't do it so good...
WHAT. THE. HECK.
WHO ARE YOU OH MY FIRST SPINJITZU MASTER YOU'RE ADORABLE I WANNA KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU YOU ABSOLUTE CUTIE 🤩🤩🤩
So Giles is doomed to voice LEGO characters with daddy issues 😂 That being not having a dad at all or having one that is... a good guy? Idk he seems chill with the surface at first glance, I wonder what's the story of this family
Maya reminds of my mom, she also mentions her work a lot and I study the same thing. But she doesn't want to brag, it gets annoying but she just wants to give me advice. It's nice to see actually 👍 Also Ray reference NEAT ❤❤❤
Wow, if any child-parent couple of this show was doomed at going semi Emperor's New Groove style, I would've bet on Ed and Jay honestly 😅
Oh HECK yes I knew that with my water girls things were BOUND to get cool 😎 ... yeah I know where the door is *goes away*
JAY NO WHAT DID I TELL YOU ABOUT TRYING TO DIE STOP DOING WHAT YOU'RE DOING!!! 😱😱😱
My GOSH that scared the crap out of me 😅 Jay honey we have too many deaths in this team, you're not helping... BUT YOU POWERED AN ENTIRE SHIP BECAUSE YOU LOVE NYA AND YOU DIDN'T DIE AND I LOVE YOU SO MUCH BLUEBELL 💙💙💙
They were all so worried, I love this ninja family so freaking much 💜💜💜 Also better not tell this one to his GF 😂
And Bluebell?
Welcome to the "change eye color because of elemental power" team! WE GOT ANOTHER ONE I LOVE WHEN IT HAPPENS!!! 😍😍😍
Awww, Zane letting Jay be the captain, that was so cute of him 💕
Another great episode! Doing great so far but I still wonder if we got into the main story. Feels like there should be more, well we got time! Next one! 😊
LONG LIVE THE KING
Sooooo... that's one very telling title 😅 If we're going full Lion King on this one, I think I know where this is going 😵
Maya: Don't they know that metal taste terrible?!? (Again feels like Kai could say something like this 😂)
FINALLY NYA USING FREAKING WATER POWERS UNDER THE SEA!!! Thank you Maya for saying out loud what we were all thinking 👌👌
NINJA TO THE RESCUE!!!
Pff, okay, the fact that Kalmaar is all evil and cruel and then he gets startled like that, it's kind or adorable! 💕 Honestly Giles got such a deep voice, with Clay it was firm warm and reassuring, here we got plain devious and I ADORE it 😍😍😍
Maya come on don't doubt your daughter 😅 But I like her, and if she knew Nya they way we all do she wouldn't doubt that she could make it every time 😎
Yeah I was right, the king seems chill... oww I fear what's coming then 😳
Okay, so Kalmaar thinks that the world should go back to be lead by them like in the past, while the king just wants peace with the surface. And as we know, no drama no season so...
Yep, saw the death coming 😅
WHOA DID NOT SEE THAT LITTLE BLAME ACT COMING KALMAAR IS SO EVIL!!!... with a glorious voice but still (Rose focus on something that is not that godlike voice, you can do it 💪💪)
THE OLD ONE TWO I LOVE THIS SO MUCH COMBO ATTACK!!! 🌊❄🌊❄
Awww Benthomaar is actually really cute, he's so worried about his father 😢 And he's adopted apparently? I wanna know the story!!! 🤩🤩
Yep, there's the reason why Zane got a mask even though he doesn't need one, it completes his attire 😂😂😂 My gosh how I love this nindroid ❄
Did... did Jay just say phooey? Dude Ducktales ended a while ago but I'm still not over it 😭
I said it once before I'll say it again, Ninjago is really REALLY good at making death scenes. Like, omg, I genuinely felt sorry for them 😢😢 I also really liked that the king didn't ask to be avenged, he still wanted peace and he asked his son to protect the ninja and he cried actual tears...
MY HEART WTH 😭😭😭 So we're adding this to the real tears moments of the show, with Jay crying over pie, Zane with the flashback of his dad, Jay crying over Nya and Lloyd thinking the ninja are gone... my world this show is angsty 🙂
Third startle for prince Kalmaar, I love the gag 😂 Oh wait, king Kalmaar 🤷♀️
Okay, we got a coup, the ninja running away because they got framed, Benthomaar is most likely going to join them or at least help them, I guess Wojira will come out at some point while... Kai, Ray and Cole are still playing videogames? 😅
THIS IS GETTING COOL I WONDER WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT AAAAHHH HECK YES THERE IS THE HYPE!!! 😍😍😍
Although I hope we get more stuff with Nya and Maya, that's what I like 🤩
ESCAPE FROM MERLOPIA
I'm good at English and I can follow most of it, but the fantasy names are tricky so I didn't get before that this was the name of the place 😅 It's nice, at least it's not another Atlantis 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
LLOYD I SWEAR TO YOUR GRANDPA IF YOU TRY TO DIE AGAIN 😱
NYA YOU ARE NOT A GOOD SUBSTITUTE NONE OF YOU ARE OMG 😱😱
Ah, there he is, my new son Benthomaar 💙 He is so lovable already, I know nearly nothing about him and I like his character already a lot! He could relate with all of the ninja really, but maybe with Jay the most? They were both adopted after all 🤔🤔
*scribble note for a fanfic for later if this doesn't come up in the season*
Alright moving on 😗
I am so happy Nya gets a season, Kelly got a great emotional range that doesn't come out often in my opinion, but with a full introspection of water goddess we are all blessed by her voice acting 😍
Gotta say, admitting that Bentho didn't have to help them to answer the usual 'Can we trust him' question is pretty reasonable, like, better than other stupid answers 😅
Also don't mind me
Just screenshotting by ship 💙❤💙❤
Somehow lately we are letting Jay do the talking and I both hate and LOVE the fact 😂😂 Plain Bluebell nonsense, heck yes that's my jam👌👌
MAYA IS SO COOL OMG 🤩🤩
I literally can't not laugh at the startle gag with Kalmaar 😂
LLOYD WHAT DID I JUST SAY ABOUT SELF SACRIFICING!! PLEASE IT'S NOT EVEN YOUR SEASON!! 😱😱😱😱
Aww Jay is still the Captain, nice! Wonder if it's giving him Skybound flashbacks... I hope not considering all he went through that time, poor Sparky 😅😅
ARE THOSE LITTLE WU ROCKETS?? 🤯
Can we skip a season and hang out with Pixal one time? I really wanna know how she organizes her free time to create these things 😍😍😍
THANK YOU LLOYD FOR NOT DYING ONCE AGAIN, MUCH APPRECIATED!!! 💚💚💚 My green bean needs a vacation... they all do 😅
THEY ARE
SO BEAUTIFUL 💙🌊💙🌊
Alright, back to the island hoping Kalmaar will not track us and follow us so he can get to the place and discover the amulet 🙂
Are we not calling the others? I miss my flame babe and Rocky ❤🖤❤🖤 Also RAY WATCHA DOIN I WANNA KNOW EVERYTHING 🤩🤩
THE TALE OF BENTHOMAAR
Wait what? Shark boy backstory? SHARK BOY BACKSTORY?!? 👀👀👀
Wow, I see that Kalmaar didn't change a thing growing up, still the same gonna-be-a-villain 😂 Of course his voice got a lot deeper and cool and okay you know I love his voice moving on
I find it kinda funny that Kalmaar is so focused on royal blood and superiority, while Clay was basically a farm boy who worked his way up. Giles knows how to get the character no matter what 😍
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH
BABY BENTHOMAAR AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
The king seems like such a good pers- fish- creature 😅 Now I'm double sad that he died, my world, why do I always care so fast, it's not healthy in this show where everyone could die 😰😰
I'M SORRY IS THAT KAI'S HAIR??? 😂😂😂 I LITERALLY CAN'T LOOK AWAY WTH I DON'T KNOW HOW I FEEL ABOUT THIS
Literally every frame of Benthomaar makes me love him even more 😢
Interesting that we got an academic villain, he kinda reminds me of Clouse in a way, maybe even Harumi since she studied her way to her plan as well? I like that we got a bit of personality too!
Using your little bro for your own purpose... it's very evil but kinda also brotherly like 😂
Benthomaar really gives me that very PRECIOUS vibe, kinda the perfect son but also a naive and unaware BABY 💙
LEGO HUG 🤩🤩 Not exactly reciprocated but still 😅
Ooohhh, so this is how he found the temple! I like this, it shows that Bentho is most likely physically stronger than Kalmaar, while evil brother is focused on brain and studies. They are planned differently, I like it! 😚😚
Ouch, peer pressure... sibling pressure? Eh you get what I mean 😂
POOR BENTHO 😭😭😭 YOU GOT THE NINJA NOW DON'T WORRY WE'RE NEVER GONNA LEAVE YOU ALONE YOU PRECIOUS SHARK BABY!! 🦈🦈🦈
Bentho: will I really fit in with you guys? Do you really understand how I feel?
Lloyd: Jay was adopted, Nya's parents were gone most of her life, Zane lost his father while mine turned evil
Bentho(tearing up): yeah that can work
Okaaaaayyyyy, I like that we got a bit of backstory for Bentho too! We didn't get much for Vanya in Master of the Mountain, which is the only thing I was sad about (very little detail, AMAZING season 🖤🖤🖤), nice to see it here!!
But I really want more Nya and Maya interactions, I hope we'll soon get to them again!! 😍😍😍
Alright, getting somewhere here! I'm very curious about what's next 🤩🤩

Korekiyo, Ryoma, Kazuichi, and Gundham’s S/O steals their clothes
Korekiyo Shinguji:
· Given the man traveled a lot for his work he kept some of his clothes at your place. It was just convenient should your apartment be closer to where he was working than his own home, it also made for a lovely excuse to come see you.
· After double checking everything was prepared at the excavation site one last time and several day long train rides he was finally back in town. The sun still hung high in the sky, its warmth being carried along by the summer breeze. Kiyo felt exhausted. Though it was a perfect day to go for a stroll through the city or an adventure through a park, all he wanted was to collapse on the bed or couch with you in his arms. So he went trudging through the city, the sounds of idle chatter passing by enough to keep his attention so he wouldn’t zone out completely and lose his way, simply walking on and on.
· Normally he’d warn you of his arrival with a quick text but that slipped his mind. Slipping the key into the lock, then turning it, hearing that distinctive, familiar click sound he was reminded he was home. As much as he loved work, it was nice to just lounge around and relax, to not think of anything beyond what to cook for dinner or what to do with you for a date. “Greetings Y/N.”
· Slowly he went about placing things away, tossing some clothes into the laundry, and taking a nice long shower. By the time he was finished with everything he was slightly perplexed noticing you were still absent. “Perhaps work is keeping them?” Though unlikely it was a possibility. He decided to wait for you at the balcony, surprise you with a wave from on high as you returned home. Upon opening the glass slider door he finally noticed you, sprawled across the outdoor lounge chair, his hat perched atop your head, shading your eyes as you peacefully napped. “… so cute.” He couldn’t hold in that light chuckle seeing you there when moments prior he thought you were gone. Seemed he was more tired than he thought. “Hmm… Kiyo?” “Ah! I apologize, go back to sleep. Don’t mine me.” He tried stifling a yawn, but you still caught it. Slowly you sat up, then took his arm, laying back down, taking him with you. Laying on your sides, faces only millimeters apart you took off his hat placing it over both your eyes. So a nap in the sun was it? That sounded perfect and before he had even realized it, Kiyo had already fallen fast asleep.
Ryoma Hoshi:
· It was your favorite game. At first Ryoma didn’t play along but once he realized what you were doing, he’d indulge you. Now this game, you needed to go about it tactfully, if you played too often Ryome would be prepared all the time and you wouldn’t even get a chance to start, so no matter how often you wanted to play, you had to keep it to a minimum.
· It was an awful summer day like any other, hot, humid, sticky. The air conditioning broke, AGAIN and the Super High School Level Mechanic was busy fixing other air conditioners, and no one was going to allow Miu around those things again after how she had… “improved” them last time so you and Ryoma were sprawled across the floor in your dorm room both trying to cool the other off with some paper fans you had made. You groaned, flipping over and pulling at the collar of your tank top, even the thin fabric of your top feeling suffocating. Hearing a sign escape our partner drew your attention to him. You had no idea how he could still wear that beanie even in this insufferable heat. You were genuinely worried that with it on it would send your boyfriend’s body over the edge and succumb to heat stroke.
· And the game began.
· With the hat clutched between your fingers you dashed through the door, almost knocking it off its hinges and sending it crashing into the wall with a loud clattering sound, there was even enough force to send it bouncing off the wall, closing itself in the process. You almost tripped over yourself, your feet either getting stubbed on the ground or getting caught on your legs several times as you ran, almost falling onto the steaming stone ground. You threw yourself onto the field desperate to save your burning feet. Then you saw it, that blur, and the moment you caught it in the corner of your eye you immediately threw your hand in the air, keeping the beanie out of Ryoma’s reach. Sure this game of ‘capture the flag’ was not the greatest game for such a miserable day, but the moment you thought of taking his hat off you bolted with it as if instinctively.
· For several minuets this continued till Ryoma finally got the upper hand and took his hat back. Normally your game would last much longer, but the pair of you were already exhausted and out of breath. Ryoma was about to place his hat back on till he abruptly stopped. “You’re right. I shouldn’t be wearing this today.” Instead, he used it to wipe some sweat off his brow as the pair of you made some light chatter, considering going to the school cafeteria and seeing if you could get some bags of ice there.
· “… Race you there!” Ryoma simply shook his head with a smile chasing after you. Only you of all people could manage to be antsy on a day like this, but no matter how awful the day, he was with you, which made it a little bit better.
Kazuichi Soda:
· A sigh escaped you as you glanced out the window, seeing how the snow just kept pilling and pilling. You wondered how much longer this dreaded snowstorm was going to last, with the wind crashing and thrashing about, knocking over near by trees and the like. It scared you honestly, the though of some tree just collapsing through the roof or a large branch to pierce through a window and knocking over a wall in the process. Leaning back in your seat something caught your eye. How your husband could manage to sleep even in this racket was something you could never figure out even after years together. As a yawn escaped your lips you wished you could lull off to a restful slumber like him, but it was just too loud.
· With a stretch you stood up, opting to find something to occupy yourself with other than looking out the window. Taking Kazuichi’s beanie from the end of the bed, you place it on, leaving the room.
· Now… what to do during a power outage… without heat… With the snow covering the windows the house was almost pitch black. One could still see due to some soft light, but certainly not enough to read. Sure, you could do whatever on your phone, but you wanted to keep that in case of an emergency.
· Suddenly you heard a giddy giggle as heavy, warm blankets, as well as a pair of arms were wrapped around you. “I thought you were asleep?” “How can I sleep when you’re gone.” There was a whimper or a wine in the man’s voice as he hugged you tighter. “And what are you doing looking so cute with my stolen hat out here and not our room?” “… You’ve seen me wear your hat a thousand time over, you don’t have to say I’m cute every time. Besides wouldn’t you be used to the sight by now?” “Excuse me, but your cuteness is ever lasting and something I can never ‘just get used to’. Now please come back to the bedroom. It’s lonely without you.”
· You hugged him, nuzzling into his embrace, adoring how firm his hug was and how warm you felt. “Okay, okay, I’ll come back.” Lifting you off your feet he carried you back, trying to remember if the pair of you had any card or board games stashed somewhere to occupy the time.
Gundham Tanaka:
· Gundham awoke with a groan that freezing winter’s morning, his whole body stiff and felt to be on the verge of collapsing. And he felt so heavy. Was the weighted blanket atop him? He couldn’t remember whether or not you placed it on the bed the night prior. Though his mind seemed to be fogged and his ears muffled he could still clearly hear his own heavy breathing and slightly racing heartbeat. Shakily he sat up and looked to the alarm clock that sat perched atop the headstand of the bed. “… How could time escape… escape me so.” Somehow it seemed he got up too quickly, the world seeming to twist, turn and spin in an attempt to knock him to the floor. As he laid back down, desperate for balance he kept thinking of the time, eleven o’ four, almost noon, how could he have slept in so long? “e-even should a curse have b-been place… upon my being…” A cough erupted from him interrupting that sentence.
· “M-my Emperor… stay back, this… I don’t wish this curse upon you too.” Short of breath he staggered to the bathroom. He leaned against the sink for a moment before washing his face with freezing water, hoping the shock of the chill would at least somewhat make him more alert. He examined himself finding every feature of his simply looked awful and exhausted. No matter how he tried he couldn’t disguise it, not wanting his creatures to see he was weakened. Running his hands through his hair he noticed something glinting in it. He was so completely confused till he realized it was just his engagement ring. He realized just how bad this illness was for him to forget about THAT of all things!
· Flopping back onto the bed he noticed other things he very much should have sooner. Firstly you were gone, for a moment he panicked, you were always still asleep by his side when he awoke- but… it was the afternoon not daybreak, of course you were gone, probably at work or something. The other was his scarf being missing. His Devas lived in the thing and both his companions and their home was missing. Where were they? He searched and searched but no matter where he looked around the house he could not find any sign of them. It was extremely unlike them to wander far so where were they? Where did they go!? Were they alright!? Did they go outside into the snow!? It’s snowing right now! Where they buried out there!? But why would they go out there in the first place!? But what if they did!? They’d be freezing to death they-
· “Gundham?” That voice! That soft, sweet, concerned tone- “Gundham! What are you doing up, you need bed rest!” You were already by his side, huddled close. You showed Gundham your hand before slowly placing it on his forehead as to not surprise him, fearing that when sickened he was possibly more sensitive to touch. He had improved a lot in being okay with you touching him, but it was something you were extra weary of in the moment. However, you instead were the one caught off guard, Gundham hugging you. “The Devas, they-” But then he immediately backed up, looking affright. “M-my Emperor! Stay back, this curse-” “Hey, hey, it’s okay. We got you some medicine, just get back to bed, and I’ll make you some food.” Before Gundham could speak more you took off something you were wearing, wrapping it around his neck, quickly dusting off the snow that had collected on it. He trembled, relief overwhelming him feeling all of the Zodiac generals scurrying about in the scarf. “Oh dear, you’re paler than before.” You gently coaxed him back to the bedroom.
· He simply huddled in bed, holding his dear Generals and their home close. He just barely noticed the creaking of the door, seeing you have come back with a hot soup. “How are you feeling? Is the medicine helping?” Gundham simply stared up to you, his eyes half lidded and watery. He just looked so dazed and exhausted. He reached out, taking one of your hands into both of his own, holding you close. A chill ran down your spine feeling his hot breath against your skin. “… Y/N, please stay… a-and don’t catch this curse either” His eyes fluttered shut as he so tenderly kissed the back of you hand and palm. “never disappear again… don’t... scare me… please… i… need you… now and forever… I love you…” Still clutching you close he finally allowed himself to drift off, knowing all he loved was safe.
· And you were left feeling flustered, that heat radiating from your cheeks. You didn’t think Gundham could be this unabashedly, and directly lovey-dovey with you. Being sick just knocked down certain sensibilities of his you supposed. “Of course… I am going to promise ‘in sickness and in health’ not long from now, aren’t I?” You laid beside him, giving a kiss to his forehead, gaining a soft, content hum from him.

OK I’M HERE! I READ IT! I’M LATE BUT IT DID IT! SERIOUSLY REGRETTING NOT READING IT EARLIER! FUCK SLEEP WHO NEEDS SLEEP!
I LOVE THE TWINS SO MUCH SHCDUJUHKFDUISVFDHYDEBCSJ
LEXI TELLING EVERYONE THAT SHE CAN TALK TO RAZIEL BESTIE YOU DOING GREAT!!!
“Lying is wrong!” Selena had told her sister.
“Yes, but cookies are delicious,” Lexi had pointed out, munching on them.
“Daddy!” Selena had said. “Tell her it’s wrong.”
“Lying is wrong!” Daddy had said, but she had barely heard a word since his mouth had been stuffed with cookies too.
LYING IS OKAY IF YOU GET COOKIES
She did not care much for jewellery, especially expensive ones. But Magnus had given this to her – and she didn’t want to take it off.
She combed her long hair and tied it into a high ponytail. If she was going shopping with Magnus, she had to look her best.
It was fine. There were worse ways to spend your tenth birthday. She got to spend it with Magnus. She was not going to complain about it.
AWWW SHE’S LITERALLY MAGNUS’ NO.1 FAN UHSDUCSDUYSDCFUYKSVCD
“Oh!” Selena had beamed. “Like Magnus! He always looks so magnificent!”
“Sure,” David had said, his ears pink in the cold. “That’s who I was thinking about.”
I don’t know much but I do know that his ears were not pink because of the cold and he was not thinking about Magnus.
Selena remembered wishing she caught the fever so Magnus could take care of her too.
Same- I MEAN WOULDN’T WE ALL??
ALSO, MAX STAYING WITH DAVID WHEN HE WAS SICK DWHYDYGUFEYUKGFYEUGFEWUYG
Oh, Jocelyn died.
Rip I guess?
OOOO THEY INVITED THE COHORT TO TALK ABOUT THIS STUFF BECAUSE SHADOWHUNTERS ARE DYING OF MUNDANE ILLNESSES
I say we kill them.
Selena had never felt anger like that before. She had wanted to drown that awful man in the lake she floated around in her dreams.
BESTIE SAME
“Lettuce?”
“Yes?”
“No screaming when I show you the gift,” Daddy said. “We have visitors at the institute.”
“Is it a sword?” Lexi asked.
“No,” Daddy replied.
“Then I won’t scream,” her twin shrugged at him.
AHUEDCHGUHFEWUIFUIRUI SHE’S SUCH A HERONDALE I LOVE-
PUPPY OH MY GOD IT’S A PUPPY!!!!!!!!
“IT’S A PUPPY! IT’S A PUPPY! OH MY GOD, IT’S A PUPPY! DAVID GOT US A PUPPY!”
Her twin had jumped – no, leaped – off the counter and dashed towards their father, who was holding a small grey puppy in his arms.
“I AM SO SORRY I TOLD YOU I DON’T WANT YOU, LITTLE FRIEND. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. I WILL PROTECT YOU WITH MY TWENTY TOY SWORDS!”
“Lexi, stop screaming!” Mommy said. “You will wake everyone up.”
“EVERYONE WAKE UP AND COME MEET MY PUPPY!” Lexi screamed even louder.
I LOVE HER SO MUCH DHJBSDCHJBFSJSFEDSF
She drew the unlock rune on the door the way her daddy did on his office door and sneaked into the Consul’s office.
I’m not even surprised anymore-
AWW, SELENA GOING THERE TO LOOK AT THE MURAL OF IDRIS. YOU’LL GO THERE ONE DAY BESTIE I PROMISE
ANJALI IS HERE Y’ALL!!!!!!!
Anjali walked over to her father’s desk, sat down on the chair, and put her feet on the table.
The Inquisitor’s table.
Only she could get away with something like that.
THERE’S MY FAVORITE PERSON EVER Y’ALL
EVEN ALEC IS WARY OF HER UHJSDVCUHSVDUUHSVUHSUIVGRVSR
Selena loved Idris with all her heart. But she knew Idris was not a perfect place.
Any place that was mean to Magnus could never be perfect.
EXACTLY
“Well, it turned out well for me,” Anjali winked. “Now when he gives me shit for my ‘bad judgement’ I just throw his dating history in his face. Dated Zara Dearborn? Broke up with Cristina Rosales? Yikes. Could not be me.”
BESTIE YES! HOW CAN DIEGO JUDGE PEOPLE’S JUDGEMENT WHEN HIS DATING HISTORY LOOKS LIKE THAT???
“Just because he looks like a movie star, it doesn’t mean everything should be handed to him,” Anjali answered, rolling her eyes. “Entitled piece of shit.”
You know I kinda ship them-
“Dang, girl. No practice swords for you, huh. You just straight up went for the mortal sword. I like your style.”
“Uncle Kit!” Selena yelled and ran towards him.
KIT KIT KIT KIT KIT KIT KIT KIT HISDUIDEUYKFSFUS7IKKIYGVFSDLY7TKGVFEDYTGFECYGU
ASH OMG ASH IS HERE TOO!!!!
"some man called Anus" BYE-
PARABATAI KIT AND ASH OMG
The whole pre-meeting prep is kinda giving me pre-wedding vibes idk how to explain but the whole rush and organizing that day and making calls and stuff.
“Ash was very beautiful. After Magnus of course” “She liked Aunt Izzy best. After Magnus of course,” GIRL HAS HER PRIORITIES STRAIGHT
"How bad can the cohort be?" well you see-
“Is that the cohort?” Selena asked, her voice a whisper.
“No, that’s a bitch.”
Yup. that’s accurate
“Is he here?”
“Whom?” Daddy asked.
“Alec Lightwood,” the woman asked.
“You mean the Consul?” Daddy asked.
“I meant Alec.”
“The Consul?”
“Alec!”
“Who also happens to be the Consul?”
“Fine, yes, the Consul!” the woman sounded impatient. “Is he here yet?”
It’s Lightwood-Bane bitch
AWWW SELENA DESCRIBING ALEC AS REGAL THAT’S SO CUTE
And accurate-
IT’S THE SAME BLUE AGAIN
Selena noticed her father was looking very emotional. She couldn’t blame him.
“My liege,” Daddy bowed deeply.
“Cut it out,” the Consul smacked him. “What’s the status?”
Yup, that’s them. Also same Jace.Same.
“I always expected the offspring of these two to be like…”
“Like what?” Daddy demanded.
At that moment, Lexi ran past the hall, yelling and screaming as she carried a toy sword in one hand and Dorian Gray in another.
“MAKE WAY FOR ALEXANDRA THE GREAT AND HER LOYAL COMPANION DORIAN GRAY! CHRISTOPHER! BRING ME MY OTHER NINETEEN SWORDS! WE MUST SET FIRE TO THE EVIL EMPEROR AND SAVE THE PRINCESS!”
“Like that,” Magnus chuckled.
Will in the afterlife, wiping tears: A true Herondale.
“I hope so too, Magnus,” Selena said shyly.
The Consul frowned at that. “It’s Uncle Magnus to you.”
Selena ignored that. The Consul was not the boss of her.
Well, technically he was the boss of everyone. But still!
UHNJCSDUHUSDHSVUDVUD SELENA
Do not remind me. I would like to remain blissfully unaware that not all of them are mortal :D
The Consul grumbled and turned to Mommy. “You were right to name her Fairchild. She is going to be a pain in my ass.”
“Hey!” Daddy covered Selena's ears again. “It’s like you guys didn't get my monthly newsletter on language modification!”
“No one here reads your newsletter, Jace,” Aunt Izzy rolled her eyes.
"I do," the Consul put up his hand.
Of course, you do Alec. I can totally see the LBAF gang defying Alec left and right UHKGXUYCSUYGCSYCFSED
“Izzy, how many times!” the Consul grumbled. “No placing bets on the children. Besides, everyone knows it’s going to be Alexandra.”
“Hey!” her parents said at the same time.
“What are y’all doing here?” Lexi came running then, cause her superpower was to magically appear whenever someone was talking about her. “We have shit to do! Come on!”
“Not helping, Lettuce!” Daddy shook his head. “Clary, take the lead.”
Of course, it’s gonna be Lexi.
FHUJCSDUHSDUHJ SELENA NOT UNDERSTANDING THE INNUENDO MAGNUS MADE LMAO NOT IN FRONT OF THE KIDS
“My name is Alexander Lightwood-Bane. I’m the Consul of the Clave. You will talk to me with respect.”
Selena saw Zara flinch at that. It was satisfying to watch.
Zara, I will gladly feed you to sharks stfu
“You sound a little jealous,” Zara grinned. “If you want to come back, we can arrange that. You could leave that good for nothing husband of yours and-”
“Zara, I swear by the angel,” Aunt Izzy said through gritted teeth. “Insult my husband again and see what happens.”
ISABELLE YES! I NEED MORE SIZZY WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH OF THESE TWO
SHE DID NOT JUST INSULT MAX AND RAFE FUCK YOU BITCH
OH, NOW SHE INSULTED THE TWINS. I WILL DROWN YOU DO NOT TEST ME
“They called me a freak too,” her mother spoke. “Insult our children again and I will show you what freaks can do.”
YES CLARY
Max and David were really close. Like Daddy and Uncle Alec.
Maybe even closer. Like Uncle Alec and Magnus - cause one of them was a warlock! And they always gave each other dopey looks.
HJBASYUGJCESDYUTGVCSDUTVSDT6U7VSDC THIS! (I think they get together because of the snippet but if they don’t-)
The moment Magnus left, Max snatched the credit card and whistled. “Y’all, Christmas came early.”
“We can’t just buy anything, Max,” Rafe rolled his eyes. “Dad will be pissed when he finds out.”
“Maybe we should buy little things we can hide,” Max winked. “Little…but expensive things.”
“Oh, like diamond rings?” Lexi gleamed.
“What would you even do with diamond rings?” Selena demanded.
“Sell them in the black market in exchange for cash,” Lexi replied.
“By the angel, Lex,” Rafe chuckled. “I'm gonna keep both my eyes on you.”
LEXI YES OMG YES YES YES YES
“Your demands are unacceptable,” Rafe said, imitating his father. “How about ice-cream?”
“I accept your counter proposal,” Lexi nodded, imitating Daddy. “Let’s unleash hell in Baskin-Robbins.”
BASKIN ROBBINS BOUTA BE RAIDED BY 4 CHAOTIC CHILDREN LET’S GO
Holy fuck she has children. Who’s the poor father?
“These are my sisters Saraquel and Remiel and Michael,” the boy pointed at the girls, completely ignoring Rafe’s comment. “Our parents named us after the archangels.”
“And they called us angel freaks?” Lexi muttered incredulously.
“I know, Lexi. Fancy names indeed,” Max nodded. “But kinda hard to pronounce to be honest.”
A very genuine what the fuck
“My name is Alexandra James Herondale,” Lexi said, her voice steady. “And I am named after the greatest Consul and dopest archer of all time. He is a better man than any of your dumb archangels.”
YES LEXI YOU GO, GIRL
“Idris is lame,” Max snorted now. “You don’t even have internet.”
Lexi shuddered at that.
The reason I would never want to live in Idris
THE WAY SELENA WAS READY TO BEAT THE GUY UP WHEN HE INSULTED MAGNUS AND HOW MAX GOT ANGRY WHEN HE INSULTED DAVID
SELENA’S 10 BITCH FUCK YOU
“Holy shit!” one of the girls said. “That was kinda cool. Is that a twin thing?”
“It’s a common sense thing,” Lexi rolled her eyes. “Duck!”
People are idiots
But Selena tried not to think about the other girl. It didn’t matter whose daughter Michael was – it only mattered whose daughter Selena was.
And she was the daughter of Clary Fairchild and Jace Herondale.
She was not going to run.
GIRL YES
Y’ALL DON'T GET KILLED
AYY MAGNUS IS HERE THEY’RE ALL GONNA BE OK NOW
“It’s warlock magic,” the boy whispered – but not too quietly. “It’s demonic.”
Some of the ichor from the demons fell right on the boy’s head.
“Oops,” Magnus said. “Warlock magic is also a little clumsy.”
HVBCDSHJCSDYCDYJGCD THE BOY DESERVED IT!!!!!
“Manuel has an important meeting,” Zara rolled her eyes. “I’m stuck babysitting them.”
“It’s not babysitting when you do it!” Daddy said incredulously. “You’re their mother. It’s called parenting.”
GODDAMIT WOMAN DON'T HAVE CHILDREN IF YOU CAN’T TAKE CARE OF THEM
“He called David a bastard,” Lexi said.
“He did what?” her mother demanded.
“And he called Max a freak,” Selena said.
“He did what?” the Consul demanded.
“And he flirted with Selena,” Rafe made a face.
“HE DID WHAT?” Daddy looked murderous.
NAH BECAUSE WE’RE ALL DOWNRIGHT READY TO KILL THIS BITCH
ALSO, SELENA WAS SO RIGHT TO BREAK THE BOY’S NOSE.
“Look at them! Cahooting in demonic languages,” Zara sniffed.
“It’s Spanish,” Aunt Izzy said incredulously. “Your husband speaks it too!”
Zara you dumb shit-
That part where Magnus was checking up on all of them and seeing if they’re ok and the kids looked like they had never seen anything like that-
They deserve better. GODDAMN IT JULIAN BLACKTHORN MANAGED TO BE A BETTER PARENT 12
Her father held Selena’s hand in his. “You better raise your son to respect women, Zara – Because I’m raising my daughters to break noses.”
YES YES YES YES
He knelt down next to her and put a strand of hair behind her ear. “Can I tell you a secret, cupcake?”
Selena nodded. She loved secrets.
“People call me a freak too,” Magnus winked.
“You?” Selena gasped.
“Yes,” he nodded. “If people call you a freak, it means you are doing something different. Something bold. Something small minds will never be able to think of. So, it’s not an insult. Don’t forget that.”
YES THIS
AWWW THE LITTLE GIRL GAVE SELENA HER NECKLACE.
“Some people don’t like women in power.”
“Why not?”
“Because women get shit done.”
Selena giggled at that. “You said a bad word.”
“It’s not bad. Say it with me, Selena,” her mother said gently. “Women get shit done.”
YES WE GET SHIT DONE
“Are you saying I shouldn’t be afraid?” Selena asked. “I should be strong?”
“I'm saying you should be anything you want to be,” her mother kissed her head. “You can be brave like Izzy. You can be fearless like Emma. You can be kind like Cristina. You can be cool like Dru. You can be sensible like Maia. You can be confident like Lily. You can be smart like Tessa. You can be fierce like Diana. You can be geeky like me.”
Her mother held her face closely. “You get to decide what kind of woman you want to be. I want you to remember that - because there is no wrong way to be a woman.”
THIS! WE NEED TO HEAR THIS MORE OFTEN!
“The next time someone points fingers at you because you are a woman, go ahead and break them.”
DO IT
This was her mother.
Clary Fairchild. One of the most powerful shadowhunters.
Selena sometimes forgot that. Sometimes you forget your mom is so much more than your mom.
There is a person underneath that – someone full of dreams and hopes and talents you could never imagine.
SHE’S LITERALLY SO POWERFUL AND AMAZING IF I SEE ONE MORE PERSON HATE ON HER I'M GONNA KILL THEM
THE IDRIS VISION EDYUGYFEUGYUKGFEWUYTGFEWUTFEW7FE
Rafe was going to be their leader. He would be Selena’s Consul. She knew it.
Gigi was going to be just like Aunt Izzy. An amazing inventor. A chaos to be reckoned with.
Lexi was going to be the best fighter in the whole world. She would fly above everyone and everything.
And David and Max…Well, they seemed very happy with each other. Selena supposed that was enough. Like Uncle Alec and Magnus. To find something you can be happy with no matter what. Because sometimes there was no greater purpose than love.
And Selena….She knew exactly what she was going to do.
She was going to lead all of them back to Idris.
Explain why I'm crying reading this. I love them all so much. They mean so much to me already. SELENA ONE DAY YOU’RE GONNA LEAD THEM ALL BACK TO IDRIS I KNOW YOU WILL
This chapter was beautiful. I'm gonna be in a corner crying in case someone needs me. See ya on Friday!! (well technically it’ll be Saturday for me since for me the updates come after midnight)
THIS GAVE ME LIFE. LIFE, YA HEAR ME?
Also my favorite comment (which I might print on something) - GODDAMIT WOMAN DON'T HAVE CHILDREN IF YOU CAN’T TAKE CARE OF THEM
Also this made me laugh out loud so hard >> - GODDAMN IT JULIAN BLACKTHORN MANAGED TO BE A BETTER PARENT 12

Genshin OC: Louis
Based on Interactions with @genshin-obsessed
And Pocket, in the original it was Signora who traumatized him sexually(I'm sorry if it offends you but I feel uncomfortable saying the r word), but I don't think she's that evil so in this fic it will be slightly different, but still as messed up.
_____________________
Louis is an inventor from Fontaine, perhaps the brightest in all Teyvat. After unknown circumstances he was forced to flee Fontaine to Liyue, where unfortunate circumstances lead to him to meet Kazuha. Kazuha rescued him in his moment ot need, and inside of taking the life debt Louis offered the samurai merely took his friendship. Now he works as the fleets greatest engineer, repairing and upgrading the ships of the fleet with never before seen technology.
But one has to wonder, what ever caused him to leave Fontaine? And under what city did he meet Kazuha?
__________________
Physical description: a fifty year old man in the following outfit
In this hat
Both his arms are burnt all the way to his shoulder, so he hides them with finned gloves
(Also: I consider Kazuha to be an adult, so if you know about the shipping plan with the Interaction thing with Pocket it's not weird)
He has teal eyes, long silver hair, and a twirling pencil thin mustache.

The rise
Louis created his first groundbreaking invention at the mere age of six: a torch that ran on gas!
When he presented his invention it was met with grand....disdain.
People called it a scam, that what he said was impossible. He was laughed and ridiculed, to the point he disappeared from the public eye for many years.
Until fifteen years later.
At nineteen he skyrocketed into the market of invention, using something noone could dispute nor deny the grandeur of: he created a gun!
_____________________
To forge an empire
It was not easy to make it in the invention markets of Fontaine, even with patents one could not stop competitors from making their own form of their products.
So Louis had to be the best damn inventor of all of them! It was why he got his vision, his ambition, his soul demanded it!
And so he did. He hit every corner of the market with high quality inventions every week, from gas ovens to full plate armor, from fans that spun themselves to moving walls! It was once said in Fontaine that if someone wanted the very mountains to move at the push if a button, all they needed to do was pay Louis to make it.
Hundreds took their children to him to for apprenticeship, master craftsmen begged to work for the genius half their sons' age and twice their own skill. It wasn't long before his inventions were being sold by merchants all across Teyvat.
_____________________
A defiled heart of glass
As happy and successful as Louis was, there was something he longed for, something no amount of ambition, success, nor money could ever get him: someone who truly cared for him.
He had believed this to be true for years, until one evening ball,
He met a woman.
She approached him as he sat surrounded, yet completley alone. She walked up to him and said, "you look lonely, would you like to go somewhere else?"
She said it without any ulterior motive, no sucking up, just a genuine want to hang out with HIM. No as Louis the inventor, but as Louis the man who enjoyed inventing.
They walked away from the party, saying to abyss with any who found it rude! And went around the town as two friends, absolutely enamored by eachother's hopes and dreams.
They were friends for five years when Louis finally confessed his love for her, how she would listen to him, and care about him, something he gave to her in equal share.
But a mere year into their relationships he found out his lover's secret: she was Fatui.
One night he found her coming home through the window, in her complete uniform no less. She was afraid, afraid he would leave her for what she was. But instead, all Louis did was wipe her tears and day, "how can I help?"
Do began his secret dealings with the Fatui. He used his bright mind to create countless machines of war for them to use, guns that did not need loading, gas powered suits of armor that gave strength well beyond that of a human, anything thr Tsarista wanted she would get. Because whatever the Tsarista wanted, his love wanted.
His darling love, Signora.
Or so he believed.
Ten years into the deal he was discovered by the Fontaine government and quickly proclaimed a terrorist. He had to flee Fontaine, so he went to where Signora was at the time, Liyue.
When he met her in Liyue he fully intended to propose to her, but when he got on one knee to do so, all he recieved was a sharp freeze through his chest.
And his glass heart shattered, on the stone cold ruins of an empire.
_____________________
Meeting the samurai(tw: this is where the bulk of the messed up happens)
A quick death, however, was not to be his end.
Signora hated him, despised him, for the time she "wasted on this useless, lovesick freak" as she put it.
So she let her mages do to him as they pleased, and left.
And they took full advantage.
They tortured him, violated him, broke him in every way they pleased.
They even convinced him that it was his fault, that he should enjoy what their doing, that he should thank them.
Then left him for dead.
For days he sat slumped on a stone pillar, riddled with holes, barely holding on to life.
'But why?' He had wondered. For he had believed their lies, that he deserved this fate, 'this is a fitting end.' He believed, a fallen emperor, dying on the long dead corpse of an equally grand empire to his own.
'So why?' he wondered, 'why do I keep fighting?'
Then one day a wandering samurai found him and took him in. Louis begged the man to let him die, "I deserve this. She said so...I deserve this....why else would she have done it?"
But the samurai did not falter, he carried the man to the nearest settlement to be healed.
When asked why, the samurai responded, "if you weren't so hurt, I would throw you on the wall and shout you down! WHAT IN THE ABYSS MAKES YOU THINK YOU CAN JUST GIVE UP!? BECAUSE SOMEONE SAID SO? BECAUSE SOMEONE GOT UPSET WITH YOU? SO WHAT!?" The samurai grabbed Louis' vision and held it to his face, "YOU HAVE A VISION, A GIFT FROM THE GODS, GIVEN BECAUSE YOU HAVE A DREAM! THERE IS SOMETHING YOU WANT ISN'T THERE? DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE WANT THIS? WHO WOULD BEG TO HAVE THE ABILITY TO FULFILL THEIR DREAMS?!" the samurai began crying, "do you know how many have had that stripped away? All because someone said they should? Well they still fought. They all fought. And so many died." He placed Louis' vision back on its holder, "so don't you dare give up, and don't you dare die just because someone said you should!"
It wasn't the help Louis needed to fix himself, but it was enough. Enough to help him go on.
_____________________
Vision: shards of a broken dream
Despite what he told the public, Louis did not spend those fifteen missing years because he was discouraged, but because he was betrayed.
Louis was approached by a well known inventor, who said he would help Louis' invention get the recognition it deserved!
Louis should have listened more carefully, because the man never said anything about helping HIM get the recognition he deserved.
The man stole his patent for the gas lamp and rebranded it as his own invention, and threw Louis to the curb.
Were Louis any other person he would have curled up in the warmest alleyway he could find and die, but Louis was not any other person.
Instead he began to create, he spent years and years trying to perfect gas power, then the gods saw his ambition and granted him a vision, a vision of flame.
The vision ignited at an inopportune moment however, and caused a massive explosion that nearly killed the then twelve year old boy.
Inopportune to anyone else, that is.
For in the flames of pain he saw the truth, the overwhelming power that is explosive force.
Then with his still burning hot hands he got to work, forged casing after casing to try and capture the gas that had shown him the light. He spent weeks forging a small metal pellet that could not only survive the blast, but also remain strong enough to pierce through nearly any armor. Then he created the keystone of his work, his masterpiece, the first gun.
And he used the first bullet to take revenge.
_____________________
Abilities:
Main- power of gas: throws a glass container with flammable gas, applying a swirl like effect to a large area that effects all enemies.
After using it, the player can use the ability again to strike a piece of flint that will create a giant explosion that only effects enemies.
Ultimate- culmination of ambition: Louis creates a large explosion blasting enemies away, the camera then zooms in on him holding up two pistols. After the animation ends Louis replaces his Catalyst with dual guns that deal 5X damage and attack twice as fast for ten seconds
Weapon type: Catalyst
Vision: pyro
Passive: glass heart- party members gain 5% extra friendship experience when Louis is in the party.
Special dish: ice cold jelly- a simple spin on the classic mint jelly, Louis adds a special cooling agent to it that increases the cold of the mint exponentially.
