Best mindset to have while playing Eden's Garden: Just predict that everyone will die. Literally everyone. Don't get your hopes up on anyone surviving. The easiest way to avoid disappointment and heartbreak is to keep your expectations so low that there can only be wins 👍

One thing about Adam and Eve is that after eating the apple, not only they were forever cast out from the Garden of Eden but the rest of humanity was as well. Eva executed the first murder-- she bit the apple and was punished for that act of crime. Does that mean that along with her, everyone else is now barred from paradise? How will that part of the bible play a part in the game, if it will at all?

You're going to be disappointed in this answer, but my preference would be to go with a cast of unknown/newer actors, which inherently means that I can't give you a cast list :/ idk I just feel like that would be the best choice for the story practically and thematically.

That being said, I honestly feel like the best way to adapt soc would be in animation. I know that would literally never happen, but in general when it comes to stories with very vibey worlds and magic systems I feel like animation is almost always the best way to go. It's really easy for the sets and costumes to look cheap or super generic in live action, and that's even more true for any effects for the magic system. Soc has such a unique flavor and atmosphere that even if an adaptation had, like, game of thones money and an insane powerhouse creative team, it's just really hard for me to see it getting done right in live action.

Thinking abt how for elio meeting varric was having pretty much the dream and hope he had since he was a child realized, that one day someone would come into his life and would treat him like he was a part of his family, without strings attached, without the baggage of the crows, that he could look at someone and know they would be kind and would care for him without being buried six feet beneath carefully crafted layers of pretend disinterest. And how for varric elio was essentially a replacement for adam even down to his nickname, how varric's best years of his life was when he was walking around kirkwall with his best friend, getting to drink at the hanged man every single night with him and how much he missed being able to see adam as regularly as he did back then, and here comes this kid who has such a similar personality, with the same big eyes adam had, almost the same age adam was when he and varric met and theyre also both mages and so, if he tries just a bit hard, if he calls this kid rook (like the bird. not the chess piece) he can for a second pretend he's back in some nasty seedy bar having the time of his life with his best friend hawke.

Yeah the 8x15 ending was awful but as a long covid haver I think my actual final straw was having to sit through a two-episode arc that proclaimed “using the entirety of the only known cure for an incredibly deadly disease on one man and risking an outbreak of the worst pandemic the world has ever seen is good and heroic actually”, like no one in the writer’s room thought maybe that was a little distasteful? A little incredibly disrespectful? A little way too fucking soon?

bugposting. the most important thing about luci by far is that You Can Just Fucking Swat Her. like. the Only reason shes a problem is that she lives in the circuitry and nobody thinks to check there. she literally cant do shit. you can Just swat at her. she talks big game but she is So killable. shes been alive for less than a couple years she has No fucking handle on just how badly killable she is, like, realistically. her only counter is to Bluff Harder, which very often makes things significantly worse. she will do this anyway. she is a little glass bauble and her favorite pasttime is walking directly off the shelf as a joke.

lot of ppl upset abt the lack of. Any Real Acknowledgement of Gojo dying and I'm not saying they're wrong but I did realize that I think that's pretty much just how JJK is. Like Riko died. Anyway. Kuroi maybe? We don't know. Haibara died. Ok. Geto died. Like that's a big part of the plot but Gojo doesn't tell the first years SHIT about him. They just know there's a weird monk fucking everything up (and that's fucking Kenjaku lmao). Nanako and Mimiko. Nanako and fucking Mimiko. Like I'm not saying this is... Okay I'm mad about Riko bc like. She's a big part of the reason Geto BECAME A MASS MURDERER I'd enjoy if he mourned her more. I JUST REMEBERED THAT YUKI DIED. And Choso. ANYWAY I don't think this is Terrible Storytelling bc it does feel indicative of the way Jujutsu Society treats sorcerers (and potentialy civilians) where you're just expected to fucking Move Along. And I think there might be something genuine in Gojo, being a part of that system, still feeling like what he wants is to fade away after he dies, arguably showing that in the end he is the same as everyone else, he's human, he's mortal. And that being both a genuine desire and warped coping mechanism, and the way that's hard to truly parse. But also it does kinda sucks when the characters seem to straight up Forget the ppl who died... Like. Sorry I just got so mad Abt Larue and Miguel and THEY DONT EVEN TALK ABOUT NANAKO AND MIMIKO?
