Anyway! so yeah ended up with a bit of an impulse pull of emilie here - im by no means like, crazy about her or her design (VA direction in english also being what it is. combat lines especially. the rest is fine) but i had a guarantee left over for attempting furina c1 for this acc and with no particular interest in the 5.0 characters and emilie herself being a pretty solid off fielder (my alt has. way too many on fielders JKJKWJKWDJKD) who has synergies with units like neuvi and arle i was just like. why the hell not. shes still cute and i do love the green color theme a bunch

(she also came early!!!! i had 29 pity when i did my first and only ten pull needed and she dropped at 31 pity which is very nice obviously lmao)

but yeah another part of this sudden emilie inspiration is that somehow this account on my way to a decent arle build had managed to roll what is like. a fairly insane 3p of the burning set and today i rolled a very nice off-piece dendro goblet and so i went to myself all. well okay with these artifacts ready to go if i now go get a crit rate circlet from reverie (ANY CR circlet at all mind you) then it combined with my skyward spine is like. a respectable enough build right out of the box for emilie so like sure. get me that and ill pull

xingqiu 3rd anecdote

I'm going to imagine him making this expression whenever he sounds moderately embarrassed in his voicelines. pinches his cheeks, ruffles his hair, pokes him, bullies him even harder. what a lovely idiot lol I've always loved xingqiu's voicelines where he talks to traveler because he gets teased so much, and this anecdote, where we get to poke fun at him even more, is wonderful. xingqiu dynamic with traveler is very very underrated

please just namedrop xingqiu's brother at this point, I can't keep referring to him like this lol. extremely obsessed with his books, even more than xingqiu himself? described as "爱书成痴" => literally "he loves books so much he turns into an fool", pretty sure this phrase is missing in the english translation. but despite this bookishness, he knows his younger brother so well he purposely kept typewriters a secret to force xingqiu to practice his handwriting... that doesn't sound much like the "simpleton" xingqiu's voicelines suggested hm?

next, my delusions and headcanons: xingqiu says 好重云 or "my good chongyun" during the line "Y—Y—You… Chongyun, please, just… stop…". hu tao says 好云堇... 好姐姐 or "my good yun jin, my dear jiejie" when trying to get yun jin to sing the hilichurl song in lantern rite. my conclusion: one day, those two brats put their braincells together to figure out the most effective way to beg their friends, with the same tone of voice and everything.

edit: speaking of chongyun, WHEN AM I GONNA SEE SHENHE AND HIM ON SCREEN GENSHIN. he's comfortable enough asking his aunt to go fix his friend's bad handwriting for him, so hey where's the relationship development? where?? where??? ok I'm normal now I just had to get that out

also: zhongli was looking for light novels in wanwen bookhouse for hu tao (and looking specifically for some books not sold there, hmm? perhaps those books include a light novel that blew up in inazuma but flopped in liyue? hm?). additionally xiangling's comment "Haha, has Xingqiu been getting you into light novels?" in lantern rite also leads me to imagine that some way or other, all of xingqiu's friends have found out he's The Zhenyu, The bestselling author of a legend of sword. I hope someone writes a fill in the gap fic of all their reactions because I need it badly. in my head, hu tao is surprisingly chill about it when she finds out, like "oh, seems like the young master's graduated from writing poetry? hey, hey, can you promote my poetry volumes overseas too?". except she takes the opportunity to bring it up whenever possible afterwards, but! she also has some really good storyline advice and maybe, just maybe, gets promoted to beta reader. someday. as long as she promises not to tease him about his terrible handwriting and to keep her mouth shut about the plot twists!!! xiangling tunes out and stops reading when she doesnt understand what's going on (which is fairly early), but still supports him wholeheartedly. mostly gives him food for late nights, and (tries to) get him to try her experimental dishes to get him out of writers block.

with chongyun, it feels like this anecdote yet again retconned his teapot dialogue where he can't really tell fiction apart from reality and gets mad at some injustices in a story. (tbh that part of his characterization seems super inconsistent from release) maybe he just gets really immersed in stories or smth. unconsciously reading xingqiu's book aloud is actually hilarious, i swear he's an audio learner (likes listening to liu su's stories too). yun jin gives an actually positive response except somehow her reaction is the one that embarrasses xingqiu most. something about yun jin, whose work is much more famous in liyue, also reading xingqiu's own light novels and telling him she enjoys his fresh storytelling would probably make him a little shy I think. he admires her stories and plays! her reading his work in return is flattering, but also somehow feels like he doesn't deserve it (?). gaming... haven't figured him out yet. tba. sneaking a peak at the deliveries would be unlike him, so the only option would be for him to overhear this or get told, but idk if he'd really be interested or if he and xingqiu are close enough. maybe if they build up enough of a rapport by running into each other in chenyu vale and coincidentally training together, perhaps.

Life update: Motivation: Still not it

I have not been playing games as I regularly would be. I play genshin now only when a new update rolls by just to catch up with the lore. Same goes for WuWa (I have not played the new update at all so no spoilers on that please.)

I feel like I am losing interest in Genshin after being pretty obsessed with it since he first summer event with Klee and I feel it is because of how the characters and the lore is being handled.

I am not going to rant here about all the gripes I have about 5.2 and 5.3 but I am pretty disappointed in the direction Natlan went towards after being so hyped about it.

But coming back to the point. I still do not have motivation to RP for genshin and WuWa (Not that I am RPing elsewhere). I do not have motivation to play Genshin as much anymore either. I hope they will come back to me someday but for now, consider this post as an indefinite Hiatus to my blogs. I am not deactivating them (except maybe Mavuika - because as hyped as I was for her, I am now let down by how her story was developed). I am still going to keep the door open, slightly ajar so I can always come back when the inspiration strikes.

Meanwhile if you are interested in what I have been up to - I have mostly been catching up on reading, doing DIY things, bed rotting, playing minecraft in creative mode and playing LADS (not as actively as I used to play genshin). I am not very active on discord anymore either but if you have messaged me there, I will probably respond to you this weekend :)
