reggie and willie have a tattoo shop together. the tattoo shop is called Sparkwheel's Tattoos and Piercings. it is named after ur nicknames for reggie and willie for each other being sparky and wheels <3 it's also named after the fact that in this fic their last names are both sparkwheel. also they have matching sparkwheels tattooed on their heels <33

the world: what if instead of any one soulmate au, it was all of them? luke lives in a world where your 16th birthday coincides with the reveal of how, exactly, you're going to find your soulmate, as anticlimactic or exciting as it may turn out to be. he was like 100% certain he was gonna get something music-related. instead he got a goose.

luckily, he meets his soulmate pretty soon after that! unluckily, the goose does not go away as planned. weird.

and thus begins the ever-expanding quasi-platonic polycule of luke's soulmates, their soulmates, their friends, and etcetera. he does eventually find a romantic soulmate too. unfortunately by that point he's too used to everyone ending up being platonic soulmates to realize

3 the pirate willexie one where i steal a country name from fete for a king even though i'm only on chapter 6

reggie, fleeing a shitty homelife and following in the footsteps of his best friend, fakes his death for the life insurance payout and becomes a thief. an indeterminate amount of time later, he finally returns to his hometown to retrieve what was left to him in the finally-unsealed will of his missing-presumed-dead best friend. unfortunately, he's super recognizable to like, everyone in the house at the time. and robbing it. time to flee! oh no he's been cornered at the docks! time to jump on a boat as it leaves!

willie is the captain of a transgender pirate ship weilding a leverage-ass understanding of what an EMP cannon is or how it functions. his crew includes: - julie, the first mate/medic/musician -flynn, the tech guy/navigator -luke, the munitions guy/musician -bobby, the head cook -nick, who's just kind of there it's a very exciting time when reggie jumps aboard fleeing the cops. willie loves fleeing the cops and he loves cute boys and he loves having an extra hand on the boat so this whole situation is a win-win-win

alex ran away to sea, is now missing presumed dead. sad!

Took me some time until I was satisfied with this (I still not sure if this is even good enough)

Here's GenderVerse briefly resumen, the overall of it:

GenderVerse is a multiverse where gender was reversed from the original Multiverse, and some minor changes applied by it ended up also changing the trajectory of they path, although some of them still keep the same endings, others ended up being changed drastically in order to keep everything together, to avoid biggest disasters. Some AUs were way too dangerous to keep in and ended up not being accepted in the original.

However, even though they efforts to administrate to keep things at peace, some people where able to bypass they eyes, slowly becoming a treat for everyone else safety.

It didn't took too long until things started to get out of hand, something had changed in the balance of pacific AU's and Genocide AU's, there was too many people that were causing havoc around the multiverse and less people to protect it, it was overworking the few people that wanted to help, and aware of this problem, monsters and people started asking anyone who's able to speak with the creators for help, and after sometime, it was created a new sistem of levels:

Level of Power (LP or LOPER)

Unlike Level Of ViolencE, Level Of PowER is obtained by winning battles without killing, it will give you a second HP bar and boost your attack and defense, the HP bar will fill everytime your LP increases, just like LV, the more battles you win, more powerful you become.

Because of that, dueling became something needed to survival for some creatures aware of the multiverse existence, however, It's not possible to level LV and LP at the same time, they work opposite to each other, if you end up leveling your LP, you can't Level up your LV. Yet, this only works for In-code characters, any character out of the code will be unable to get assisted by LP, unless if they appeal to an ADMIN.

(This Multiverse is still under development, there may have changes in the future, as well with the characters.)

I sent you an anon that you replied to on April 1st, which was me asking how ex-TIFs are received back into womanhood. Your reply gave me a little foothold which ended up very comforting as I started coming out rapid-fire to all my friends as detrans. this is primarily a message for other people in my situation, who are afraid and might want a template of what you might expect will happen once you do come out with it.

Predictably, most of my friends dropped me; I've 3 friends left. Two of which continue to support trans people but can accept that i have different opinions (as long as i'm "not mean") and one of which has seen the gender critical arguments, accepted them, and agrees. So, heavy losses, but not total losses. My two siblings seemed to sigh in relief and reveal that they never believed in genderism at all, which is odd, because in my 10 years of being trans not one of them challenged me on it. my mom fell into heavy guilt over "letting me" do all this, although i was 18 when i took testo and 19 when i got surgery, so she really could not have stopped me, legally. i suppose she mainly grieves knowing that had she had the right arguments she could have saved her kid this, but i've told her she is not to blame and i hope she recognizes that.

i haven't received any real harassment, not from anyone that i PERSONALLY know, though my family has received... harassment targeted at me? my sister had a classmate begin sending her copious pro-trans propaganda (contrapoints videos) which she instructed should be sent onward to me (sis did not comply). hilarious how my 10 years of direct experience is suddenly null and void and i'm assumed to know nothing about transness.... 6 months ago i was helping people sensitivity-write trans characters. now, i'm told i can't speak for the trans experience at all, and that i do not know what it's like to be a transmasc person. told that i need to listen to the arguments more carefully, that i don't LISTEN, when i literally lived this for 10 whole years. girl, on god? they tell me i don't get it and need to educate myself. and have empathy of course.

but in general, detransing, i've discovered that there are PLENTY of people who do not actually believe in genderism but who will play along simply out of fear or social pressure. my friends aside, who i knew through "queer" circles, everyone in my family (expect my mom) has revealed they never actually believed in it. i think this might contribute to why trans people bully dissenters so badly. they know this is the truth, that no one really buys it. i think, subconsciously, i have known that too. i never downloaded grindr, i never went into the men's bathrooms. i knew that despite testo and surgery and pronouns i could never challenge men as an equal in their eyes.

interestingly, making new friends is not that hard. I lead with the fact i'm detrans and "don't believe in all that shit" and people are VERY eager to be able to, suddenly, voice their real opinions without being called transphobic. they begin with probing questions, uncontroversial statements like "i agree they shouldn't put males in women's sports..." but if you continue to agree and not punish this daring on their part, they will reveal, with much relief and enthusiasm, what they really think. most people, normal people, really do not believe it all? i'm a brash person and can take irl confrontations quite well, hence i feel safe putting myself up as a transphobe off the bat. and people are very into this. so. the old ass saying, just be yourself.... normal people will not volunteer anti-genderist opinions on their own but when i continue to state thing after thing they open up and agree and eventually feel safe enough to admit their own thoughts. making friends, especially with non-gendie women, hasn't been that hard.

i'm going to write another message about same-sex attraction in the genderverse, but it's also a can of worms so i will make it separate from this one. again, thank you so much, for having anon on and listening, and letting us listen to each other without fear. i would hug you. to be continued

it’s been 20 years and i still can’t fully wrap my head around gender

trans women of the 90s wrote stuff like “gender is socially constructed” and yeah, sure, it made a nice amount of sense. instead of ‘i am broken’ it was more like ‘most people are born one of two sexes, therefore we created two sex roles. these do not have any biological basis.’

and that was fine for what it was, but it creates a critical problem, which is: if gender is a social construct, where does gender identity come from? how do trans people know they are trans, and how am i supposed to know if i am trans or not?

[it was about 2000 and we had geocities sites; there was not a rich, accessible language around being nonbinary whatsoever. people were still talking about ‘autogynephiles’. i have the sense that this word has been buried nowadays.]

(bioessentialism is also clearly wrong, like, if being amab truly made me masculine(tm), then i would not have any dysphoria? being human, i don’t have a cat’s tongue, and i don’t think i want one. if i had one, i wouldn’t “be” exactly human anymore. likewise, being aro, i don’t have romantic attraction, and i don’t think i want one; to give me one would form an alternate romo!me distinct from the “real me” as i have experienced it. but i do not experience gender this way.)

gender probably wouldn’t be such a mess if the toxicity of masculinity wasn’t being fanned so hard for ‘engagement’ on social media and stuff. good people living well don’t go viral. their lives aren’t written into screenplays. nobody sings about them. (parallel: “well-behaved women seldom make history.” —Laurel Thatcher Ulrich) and that distorts the genderverse that is reflected back to us all.

there’s an extra, i don’t know what to call it, mind-horror layer knowing that we are social creatures who seek to emulate each other. saturate our media with images of toxic people and negative relationships (quick example: joker and harley quinn, slap “TWISTED LOVE” on it and throw it in hot topic) and it normalizes these things. possibly makes them desirable or fetishizes them, just by existing there.

after all that, i’m still uncertain on how to understand if i have gender identity. ironically, it does exist as a social construct that i have to navigate. i smile at someone on the street, then wonder if she(assumed) perceived it as a neighborly thing, or whether she just smiled back because it was safer.

but i don’t know how to know.

the agender community is quite welcoming, and i can see a parallel where the Standard Aro Advice is “if you don’t know you know that you feel romantic attraction, you may indeed be arospec.” but i am also having a hard time figuring out whether i ‘need’ support/anything if i am in fact agender. because it has been 20 years and i’ve settled into a path of least resistance. idk if i am unhappy with society’s gender roles or with being gendered, because those things are inherently tied together, socially. i guess i also don’t have any role models who are agender? hmmm.

6. If you’re really concentrating, how many words can you write in a day?

I went and checked my old NaNoWriMo spreadsheets, and apparently one year I wrote over 8k on the first day.

That was way back in 2011 though, I think now I would probably say about 3k is my max, and that's only if I have nothing else to do that day, my spoons are good, and I'm feeling super inspired - which is sadly rare.

12. Is there a trope you haven’t written yet but really want to?

I have loads of part-complete or planned-but-not-started original fics, so I'll try to stick to fanfics... I do lowkey want to try writing a Locked Tomb fic set in the "marriage games" AU from Book 2, is that too specific?

More generally... I don't think I've ever written a bodyswap fic, that would be fun!

18. What is a line/scene you’re really proud of? Give us the DVD commentary for that scene.

I'm pretty proud of most of my writing, but recently my favourite thing has been Red In The Night. This is the emotional climax of the "Bet It All On Red" series I've been working on for months, so it had a lot of build-up over 9 preceding fics. I always knew that this point in the plot would be a confrontation where Jason revealed himself to Bruce and Tim officially declared his allegiance to Jason, but originally it was going to be (like the other fics up to this point) written from either Tim or Jason's POV.

Then a commenter mentioned that they were really interested to know what Alfred and Bruce were thinking after Tim's escape from the Manor. I had a chat with @cynassa about how Bruce is genuinely terrified for Tim, and to him Red Hood seems like a doppelganger trying to take everything Bruce loves away from him and replace him as Gotham's hero. At that point I knew that the confrontation had to be from Bruce's POV, and from the reaction I got in the comments I was dead on.

24. How did you come up with title for [x fic]?

The name "Dismantle the Gender Trinary" came from my aims in the verse - to explore transness in the omegaverse, and challenge the weirdly gender-essentialist vibes that some a/b/o universes have. I have a lowkey love of creating fantasy-world feminist/activist slogans (my only experience of twitter was in-character for a fantasy larp as a campaigner for witch rights), and "Dismantle the Gender Trinary" is absolutely a pin that genderverse!virgil would wear.

The individual fics within the series are generally named pretty straightforwardly after the concept of the fic or a significant line spoken, with the exception of the "firsts" series (which are all named for which first they depict).

30. Tell us an idea for a longfic you want to write in the future.

I don't really have any longfic ideas currently - I've been vibing with the episodic thing for most of my Batfam fics, because it's much less pressure if I'm struggling to write the next part.

But I do have a semi-original story which might land on AO3 if I ever manage to finish it. It's very loosely inspired by Les Mis, specifically by "what would have happened if Eponine survived her wound after making the dramatic love confession?" (except all the characters are now queer af)
