Facial Feminization Surgery in Mumbai

Facial Feminization surgery or commonly known as FFS is a kind of plastic surgery that is designed to alter the masculine facial features to give a more classically feminine shape and appearance. Facial feminization process can be done on either males or females but it is most done in transgender patients in Mumbai India. For females with prominent forehead and or wide jaws this is called as facial harmonization surgery. Most transgender patients in India opt for facial feminization because it is an important part of transitioning in their true gender and this surgery is commonly referred to as facial gender confirmation surgery.

At the same time the Rhinoplasty also ensures that the nasal functions are not tempered with.

Females have fuller and more projected cheeks than males and the cheeks are reshaped by cutting away the bones in such a way that a triangle is formed at the point of the chin. Cheek implants are used which are harvested from other parts of the body. This has to be done very carefully to ensure long terms results.

Apart from these procedures to make subtle changes in lips is done using dermal fillers, chin and jaw contouring is done to change the wide and long appearance, the Adam’s apple is reduced without leaving a scar using a process called chondrolaryngoplasty.

Various beautification processes are also done along with FFS such as blepharoplasty to lift the sagging eyelids and remove puffy eyelids and a face and neck lift for a firmer appearance.

Facial feminization is all about creating a more harmonious and still a natural looking female look. The number and types of procedures needed to complete the look is decided by the surgeon on the examination of the patient. The point to keep in mind that it takes only a fraction of a second for an eye to decide the gender of the face and of all the features of the body the face is what everybody will notice. Therefore facial feminization is a carefully thought out process.

The face is made of two parts the bony structure and the soft tissues. While the soft tissue (skin, fat and muscle) is subject to many external factors such as age, stress, health, environment etc. the bony structure remains the same. Therefore the effect of surgery in a long term on the soft tissues is difficult to predict but changes in the facial skeleton will remain unchanged.

Therefore considering this difference is important for the facial feminization procedure. The male is distinguished from the female through some specific features such as forehead, nose, jaw, and chin and distribution of facial fat.

The face is usually categorized in two parts the primary and secondary areas that need work to get the final results. One year ago today, I went to Cook County Courthouse and legally changed my name and gender marker. It is one of the proudest moments of my whole life. Growing up, I thought being transgender was a dark terrifying secret that I would have to hide for my entire life. I never thought I’d be able to live this life or do any of the things that made me happiest. But when the judge stamped my papers, I finally felt liberated. No longer am I attached to an identity I did not choose. I get to exist in society closer to who I actually am. Of course, state documentation is in no ways the official “validator” of identity. Reasons why late night dysphoria is the worst

1. Nobody is up to help you

2. All you want to do is sleep but dysphoria keeps you up

3. Not being able to (or shouldn’t) wear a binder

4. Overthinking creeps in when it’s dark and quiet

5. You really want to get up and do something to make you feel validated but you can’t because it’s late and everyone is sleeping and everywhere to go is closed

Depression

I have been down with anxiety and depression more or less since August but it got worse during October and am going deeper day by day.

I have become to believe that:

1. I’m not worthy as human being so I don’t have any rigths

2. I’m abusing everyone

3. Because of 1 + 2 I’m not worth of those who are closest to me.

To explain myself better:

1. To be able to be who I am I have had to go trough 3 years, 4 doctors, 1 psychologist, 4 nurses worth of explaining who I’am and still need a second opinion from another doctor. And no this does not include any operations or have there been any doubt about my identity. This is just how basic process is here in Finland. Going through all this had done quite a blow to my psyche and makes me feel I’m inferior as a person as I need permission to be myself.

Besides feeling inferior because of my gender identity, I feel I don’t have any skills, knowledge or am useful person in anyway.

This leads to 2. I’m inferior as a person and have no value at all so every encounter I have with another human being creates value for me but not for them. Which means I win in every encounter but never create value so clearly I’m abusing others.

3. Number 2 is true especially in case of those who are closest to me and who I love. I have been burden for them for long time.

To prove myself right I made list of around 400 items of why I am horrible person and abuser.
