After watching Severance I have to say that if Mark fully reintegrates (which he'll probably have to at this point) they're gonna have to do poly negotiations bc I can't give up BOTH ships.

Do you think severance does a good job in showcasing Mark’s grief?

Oh, I definitely think they do.

and I mean, we see this. The first episode of season 1, we see him sobbing, not even crying, but sobbing just before he goes into work

and as Petey said

which we actually see in the episode he visits the site of Gemma's accident after Petey's funeral

because Innie Mark sculpts a tree when Gemma asks him how he's feeling

We see him self-medicate with alcohol a lot, if he's not drinking, there is a bottle of liquor near him

I would say, like, 75% of the time we see Outie Mark in season 1, he's tipsy to drunk.

But it's even visually, like certainly the show has its own aesthetic but Outie Mark's home is particularly dark and gloomy to indicate that grief and loneliness shroud him

And then in season 2, the second he finds out that Gemma is alive, he is willing to do an ostensibly fatal procedure for even the slight chance that he can see and remember her

So, I definitely think they do a good job.
