So I got my the geeky stitching co crossstitch subscription box (awesome as always btw & I always pick the fancier one 🙈) and the mini-pattern has this lil chick that says 'Choose joy'! And the main pattern has 'There is so much joy ahead'. 🥰🥹🙈❤️🤗

Anyways ya know when hot priest Brian told Eddie to choose joy or something and so when I saw it earlier I was like 'omg!' 🤣🙈🙈

The brainrot is real. 🤭🤭🙈 I'm naming the chick Eddie, btw. Choose joy/juice/Buck, Eddie!

Summoning the Boy King

Darkseid was rampaging through Metropolis, Superman was injured, and the Justice League was desperate. As the League hid between fallen skyscrapers, John Constantine prepared a last-ditch effort to save the Earth.

The Hellblazer drew an intricate sigil on the ground; its circular design stretching over six feet in diameter. Most of the symbols within were space-related, while the others were themed to royalty. Batman, one of the few heroes in-the-know, grunted.

"Are you sure this king ghost can help?"

Constantine sighed and pinched his nose.

"He's the High King of the Infinite Realms, Bats, an' he's bloody powerful. He'll stop Darkseid, alright, but what he does afterward is anyone's guess. Believe me, I wouldn't be doin' this if we had a choice."

Batman sighed and glanced at the smoke-filled horizon.

"Alright, get on with it, then. We're running out of time."

Constantine nodded and placed a single offering in the center of the sigil: a squishmallow of Disney's iconic blue alien, Stitch.

"I beg your finest pardon," Batman sputtered, "What on Earth is that?"

Constantine sighed again as he took his position at the edge of the sigil.

"Mate, the book was very specific. Unlike his predecessor, the new king requires a single offering of space or alien theme that is suitable for children. It's bloody strange, but beggars can't be choosers."

Batman just shook his head and looked on. Constantine raised his hands and started the summoning chant. An eerie, green glow spread across the sigil, and light fog gathered above it. Little white orbs floated up from the ground and spiraled together, forming the slowly spinning visage of a spiral galaxy.

"Incredible..." Zatanna gasped, "This summoning is on a level all its own. This king of yours is on the level of Gods."

Finally, something began to form over the small galaxy. Batman's expression quickly softened, much to the surprise of his teammates. It was mere seconds before they understood, as a black blob full of white stars formed into the shape of a boy. The blob had spiky 'bangs' if you could call them that and eerie, glowing green eyes.

The squishmallow floated into the boy's arms and he squeezed it excitedly. At the same time, he took on a far more human form, with pale skin and snowy white hair. His eyes had whites now but still glowed green. He was dressed in black and white, royal attire with green accents, a black crown floating in a green aurora, and a black ring with a green stone. A black cape flowed down his back, its underside looking as if it were cut from a clear night sky.

"Awesome offering, dude! What can I do for ya?"

The voice was a reedy tenor in the throes of puberty, and its owner was more than a little geeky. The boy's smile was infectious, or it would have been were it not for the specific circumstance.

"How old are you?" Batman asked, his tone soft, "We weren't expecting a child."

The boy waved him off like it was nothing.

"No one ever does. And, um... technically I'm fifteen. I know, I don't look it."

Constantine cut in, clearly out of patience.

"Look, this monster Darkseid is destroying our world. We need you to stop him."

The boy turned in the air and took in the destruction around him. Somehow, he seemed to understand the situation immediately.

"Okay, but I gotta get permission first. This'll take a lot of power." He paused, taking a breath, and then yelled in a strange language. "Mom!"

Constantine paled and the other heroes shrank back as a green portal tore into existence. A young woman, barely an adult herself, floated out. She had waist-length blue hair and the same glowing, green eyes. She wore a royal outfit in white and maroon, complete with a glittering, silver tiara studded with rubies.

"What's the matter, Danny? Are you okay?"

Danny nodded.

"Mhmm! These guys need me to take out this Darkseid guy, though. Can I use my full power?"

Constantine snuck a drink from his flask. He did not sign up to deal with the fucking Queen Mother of the Infinite Realms, nor had he known she existed. God, he needed a smoke...

The Queen Mother smiled softly and pressed a kiss to her son's forehead. She spoke whilst taking his new plush.

"Yes, Danny, you may. Let me hold onto this for you so it doesn't get dirty."

Danny nodded and turned away.

"Okay, thanks mom!"

The Queen Mother vanished through and with the portal she had created. Moments later, Danny shot off into the city, with the remaining able-bodied heroes hot on his trail. The young king reached Darkseid rather quickly, engaging him while the Leaguers looked on from cover. Darkseid was foolishly amused.

"A child dares oppose me? Flee, whelp."

Batman tensed as Darkseid unleashed his Omega Effect. Two red beams shot from his eyes, and yet the young king floated firm. Two eerie, green beams shot from his own eyes and, to the shock of everyone, overpowered his foe's. Darkseid shattered into many tiny pieces which then vanished into thin air.

"Man, he really wasn't smart!" Danny grinned, "Who fires a death beam at the king of the dead?"

He received no response, as the heroes were too stunned to speak. Smiling, he saluted the group before tearing open another portal.

"Oh well; villain gone, carry on. Later guys!"

Batman glared at Constantine, but the Brit had already absconded. Heaving a sigh, he resigned himself to this new reality. Darkseid was gone, but there was an incredible new power to worry about.

(Note: My only source of information is DP canon, DP fanon, and the Justice League cartoons from the early '00s. I apologize for any inaccuracies with Batman's or Constantine's behavior.)

We all adored Jaxon in @akitasimblr's Mad About Dodo bachelor challenge - and now he has his own spin off! Jai is likely... not quite the contestant he deserves. But he is the contestant Jaxon has nonetheless.

Jai is not so much a bad person as he is self absorbed and immature. He was the stereotypical glasses wearing geeky kid until he was old enough to wear contacts, then puberty hit him with a banger. Once he realised that he could coast off his looks, it brought out some less ideal aspects of his character - and it doesn't exactly help that he's in an industry where his appearance is actually his work.

He's also an only child - and unfortunately with two professional parents who had more money than time for him - you can totally tell.

Will this experience help Jai to shed his superficial ways and bring out some hidden core of sweetness? We shall see.

I think one of the most difficult and time consuming parts of most any craft is something that no one talks about:

Teaching yourself how to accept imperfections.

And I want to stress the word "teach" here. Because for some of us, maybe even most of us, that isn't something that we'll just accidentally find ourselves doing.

So you have to teach yourself to accept it. You have to force yourself to look at your imperfect handmade item and accept that it will never be perfect and let yourself enjoy it anyway.

It feels silly but you have to put forth an active effort to do this. And it's not a one-and-done situation either! Not only do you have to continously work on it but it doesn't always transfer between crafting types. So if you do more than one type of crafting, it means you might have to work twice as hard. Which is stupid! I know! But it's also just something you have to accept.

Will you still undo some things so you can do them over again? Sure. Sometimes things look too wonky to stay the way they are or sometimes it'll only take 2 minutes to undo so it seems silly to not fix it. But there are a lot of things you have to teach yourself to just let go of.

I've been doing embroidery for 20ish years and it's take me 17 of those to learn to accept the imperfections that happen in my embroidery.

It's hard, I know. And it takes an obnoxiously long time for some of us. But it's worth it, it really is.

Your work is handmade. It is imperfect. And that is perfectly alright.

The Masked Medicine Woman (Revised)

A/N: Told you, I would make some adjustments for this. Let me know if you prefer this over the last one

Hailing from Outworld's hinterlands, Y/N is known as one of the best medicine women, if not the best. Having first been spotted by Sindel for helping to cure a plague in her teenage years, Y/N was invited by the Queen herself to study at her palace. Eventually, she became the royal Medicine woman. She is not only a good friend of Sindel but also aided the Queen with the birth of healthy twins. Y/N is particularly close with the eldest twin, Mileena.

Eventually, Y/N would cross paths with an up-and-coming sorcerer named Shang Tsung, whom she partnered with to further the goal of finding a cure for Tarkat. Their partnership would come to an end after a freak accident; an accident that is said to have left Y/N's face so scarred she started to wear a mask to cover the marks it left. Baraka, leader of the Tarkatan colony, is the only one who knows what's behind the mask. Now, she currently resides in the Tarkatan camp to continue her research while treating all the afflicted within the colony to the best of her abilities. She still blames Shang Tsung for causing her accident.

On his first night in Sunnydale, Giles meets an enchanting woman at a bar.

“Hey - geeky James Stewart!” a woman’s voice playfully calls. The music is low enough for her to vibrate eardrums. She’s huddled in a small group, clearly a last-stitch night out, by the bar. It’s not obvious she’s speaking to him, but he knows. Giles’ spine immediately straightens, head flips towards her.  “Jenny!” A taller blonde woman swats her arm. “You can’t just scream at men, they’ll get spooked.”

HI! it's the calendiles "oh no that hot one night stand is actually my new co worker" au! I have been fiddling how to do this around in my mind for a little bit and decided that i'm just going to go for it (and maybe add to it as a verse later).

The boys are both done! Fun project and a great learning experience — I might blow the patterns up a little and make another set, maybe mess with the clothing a little.

Changed I made to the pattern - I decorated Aziraphale’s bow tie and used a sequin for the watch instead of satin stitching it, I made Crowley’s vest sparkly, and I didn’t stuff either of their arms because damn those things were tiny.

Yay for geeky crafts!

Cody Emmett Jameson Anderson: The Geeky Drama Bro

Small changes for Cody! But I really wanted to give him something Drama Brothers related as I fully believe he is someone who wears his own merch because he thinks it makes him look cool. So he wears a red hat for this season that has the Drama Brothers logo on it. Oh boy, did it take a while to come up with their logo. I ended up going with the comedy and tragedy masks, aka the faces of drama and just adding silly sunglasses on them.

I changed the color of the stripes on his shirt because I was not a fan of the original colors. They just stood out for the wrong reasons for me as in they just didn't match anything, and it threw me off. So I made the red stripes brighter to play off the hat, and the dark green stripe is now blue to play off his eyes!

The chain wallet is a Lord of The Rings wallet because in one of his bios, it said his favorite movies are ones with wizards in it. He strikes me as a big LOTR fan because of this. Also, he thinks chain wallets are cool, but the wallet he found wasn't originally a chain wallet, and he commissioned Noah's older sister Nadia to make it. The big ring in the hoop is actually a replica of The One Ring for the chain to connect to. It is Cody's prized possession.

You may notice he has scars, and yes, they are from season one where he got mauled by the bear! I also gave him freckles because something about his face screamed freckles! I also gave him slightly longer hair as he started growing it out for the band, but when they broke up, he trimmed it a little because he wasn't ready to let go.

He will usually be wearing the hat, but I did give his, without the hat, look for funsies.

Sierra does try to steal his hat because his is custom made and has his name stitched into the inside.
