funny but also interesting moment of Jay and Okadas match at Dominion 2022, thoughts under the cut

thinking about how in Jays first match back in Japan, in 2022, after his long absence and break from having Gedo glued to his site, he hesitated to cheat. “I dont need it”, but as soon as the old man applies some pressure Jay immediately folds again.

The first time i saw that exchange I genuinely thought Jay will hit Gedos head against the ring apron as he grabbed him. What a turn of events that would have been, especially if he'd have still went on to win the title..

Jay was so unfortunately dependant on the old man and I really wish they’d have explored their unhealthy relationship more on screen – i always hoped that we’d get to see one betray the other at some point, either Gedo casting Jay aside for someone more promising (in his eyes) or Jay finally realising that the old man needs him more than he needs Gedo.

(Or a secret third option, where Jamieson Hwite realises that its okay to have a support system and that theres healthier options than whatever the fuck Bullet Club was/is.)
