WHAT ARE THE FAMILY ROLES IN WAR DOGS?? 😂

This is a VERY serious question!

David is sort of the father figure to everyone. But he’s not the best father figure in the world. He tells them what to do, to clean up after themselves, get gold, and make him proud. But he can and will put them in their place real quick, going from proud dad to aggressive leader in an instant. Like when he grabs Gabe’s face, tells him to quiet down and pushes him to the side to cool off.

Drilla is like a brother to Gabe. Their long history together, similar in age, and being able to relate to a lot of different topics leaves them very close in that sense. Gabe is probably Drilla’s top pick for drinking buddy and going to the gym together.

Clark is also like a brother to Gabe, but in an older brother way or maybe even that weird, proud wine aunt who drinks too much. He’s there to support him, be proud of him, and get in someone’s face for Gabe. His overall energy for matches where he’s at Gabe’s ringside shows that a lot. They hang out, but not as much as some might think.

Now I’ve always seen Clark and Drilla as romantic, but for the sake of the headcanons, we’ll keep with family terms. They couldn’t be more different, yet also so similar. Sort of like having that super close cousin that you “take a walk with” every family holiday. They casually drink together occasionally, but Drilla is more than likely going to go to Clark for drugs and club hopping. They also have occasional times where they aren’t together and are apart for sort of long periods of time, but once they’re back together again, it’s constant conversation and partying.

Then obviously we have Gedo who could also play as a father figure to the boys, but I see him more as a father figure to just Finlay. He helps the dogs if he really needs to, but he’s truly there just to tell David how to lead and how to carry himself. Gedo has helped David get more confident with himself while also teaching him harsh realities.

Now we also have Alex, who I think is that very proud uncle for the boys. He’s protective of his family, won’t hesitate to throw down with someone for any of them, and he’s constantly trying to make time for them. He says he loves them all equally, but in reality Gabe is his favorite and it shows with how he interacts and fights for him. Everyone knows it and no one argues.

This was a fun little question and I probably dived way too deep into it, but I loved it a lot.

PART TWO HOLD ON

I unfortunately don’t know enough about Jake Lee to give him a real answer, but if I had to then it could probably be cousin to the boys, since he was a temporary placement in the War Dogs (if I remember that correctly!). Pops in occasionally, leaves for long periods, but when he’s around, everyone is hype for it.

And SANADA joined not that long ago, so I’ll give him a real answer when I see him interact with the guys a little more. For now though, I’m thinking eldest brother. Doesn’t want to be around the younger siblings, sort of unhappy about it when he’s placed in matches with them. But he always ends up having a great time during it, even if he won’t admit it.

Hi! You don't have to answer if it's too personal, but why don't you write for Harley or Skye? (Ik skye supposedly said she doesn't like RP of her, but I've never heard anything about fics)

I’m totally fine with answering any questions about why I don’t write for certain wrestlers, so if you ever want to know then don’t hesitate to ask.

But I don’t write for Skye because I’m sort of playing it safe. I assumed if she doesn’t like people roleplaying as her then it’s safe to assume she doesn’t like people writing her in general. It’s nothing against her or if she’s done anything.

As for Harley, I don’t write for her because she’s friends with Saraya and she also openly supports Velveteen Dream after it came out that he was a pedophile. She just overall makes me uncomfortable and I will more than likely never write for her.

Every time Drilla and Akira interact with one another, I can't help but think of them as sort of ex boyfriends. Never got together or maybe they did, but it was sort lived. Drilla never really had feelings, and if he did, then it was purely sexual. Meanwhile Akira had fallen so hard for him and either he didn't notice Drilla didn't have feelings or he was too in love to care.

The betrayal was a heartbreak and a slap in the face of realization that Drilla never did care and every match, press conference, and interaction they have is sort of evidence of that too.

The way Drilla teased him at the most recent conference; "let's start with you because you're my favorite" while Akira is biting his tongue and trying to smile to show he doesn't care. But when he finally gets to speak, he feels the need to address Drilla, to grab him by the jaw and make him look him in the eye to really understand the anger he is feeling. Yet Drilla is only smiling, cocky and carefree, because he knows just how much it gets under Akira's skin.

Notes: I hope you enjoy! This is a short one, cause I don’t really write for Julia, but I’m trying. Not adding Malakai to the tags for obvious reasons, but he’s in here along with a small Buddy mention.

— Julia had told Malakai first before anyone else. They suppose it’s because it isn’t as scary as coming out to anyone else who doesn’t quite ‘get it.’ But Malakai had been very open to The House about his gender and identity, so it was a lot more comforting for Julia to sit down with him and tell him of their new identity.

— Coming to accept themself alone was a struggle, so to have others that they could rely and lean on really helped in this process of finding their comfort zone.

— They had found support in The House, just like with everything else. But they had always been a rather close family, so Julia truthfully didn’t have any worry or concern of not being accepted for who they were. ( Although it took Buddy a few times to really understand and get it. )

— Julia knew the support of the fans was what they would struggle with the most. And while many were mean and charged at them for no real reason other than to be bitter, there were just as many who supported Julia and showed them just how much they all cared.

— Julia would be their fully authentic self without any apology shortly after coming out to the world, no matter the opinions and others. With the support of the locker room and their family, Julia knew that they had nothing to worry about.

Genderfluid!Matt Jackson; headcanon list ( pt. 2 )

Warnings: talk of dysphoria*

Notes: I haven’t been able to stop thinking about genderfluid matt, I love them so much. Here are some more headcanons! Enjoy!

— The first time Matt wore feminine clothes outside of the comfort of their hotel room, home, or backstage, was when Nick had invited them to the casino for a night. They had worn a black knee length skirt and a loose fit grey sweater that almost hung off the shoulder ( Nick said they looked great, Matt almost had an anxiety attack leaving the room. )

— *When discovering himself, Matt had cut several inches off his hair to the point it was almost shoulder length, in an attempt to find what made him most comfortable. But when he had gotten back to the hotel to look at it in the mirror, he had cried for hours in the bathroom. Having his hair so short had made him feel extremely dysphoric, though at the time he wasn’t sure what this feeling was except immense dread. He still remembers sobbing the next morning at breakfast with The Elite after Kenny had asked why he cut his hair. There were also times during this period of growing it back out that Matt was perfectly fine with his short hair. But it was clear he was consistently happy with it long.

— The first time Matt heard someone refer to her as Nick’s sister, she had almost immediately ran to tell him. She had told him the first couple times, each time her excitement being matched and Matt never failing to be just ecstatic upon hearing it.

— Growing out their beard was a choice that Matt was a little hesitant to do, finding a comfort in the way that their facial hair was at the moment. However, after growing out their beard and changing up the style a little, they found they were just as happy with that as they were clean shaven or with their chops.

— While Matt has no real preference of pronouns, she does appreciate others switching out her pronouns frequently more than anything. Some people tend to stick to one set more often than not, but she’s noticed that Nick, Kenny, Aubrey Edwards, and Christopher Daniels switch out her pronouns the most.

— Recently, Matt’s excessive use of pearls have been a sort of way to wear more feminine clothing out to the ring, especially when in his hair or by wearing pearl earrings. He will eventually get to wearing more out to the ring one day though.

Neurodivergent Nick Jackson; headcanon list

Warnings: none

Notes: I asked some time back if anyone would be interested in neurodivergent headcanons, so I wrote some! I’m autistic and have ADHD, and have friends who are also neurodivergent, so this is based on my experience and what I’ve seen through my friends! I hope you enjoy!

— Nick struggles the most with emotion, whether it be displaying his emotion or reading other people’s emotions, it’s never been something he’s ever been good at. It’s typically why his voice/tone comes off as very monotone, as expression is difficult for him. There are, of course, people who have gotten used to this and can read him well, but for people he’s first meeting, he can come off as blunt or rude when he doesn’t mean to be at all.

— Nick stims vocally, whether it be words, phrases from his friends or tv shows, or various little noises. ‘Bacaw’ is his more common vocal stim, but he also clicks his tongue, repeats words or phrases he hears in conversation, and occasionally does his pitched “hewwo” that he usually uses for spam calls. When repeating others, he usually only repeats Matt or Hangman, but will occasionally repeat after people who he isn’t very close with.

— Nick uses chewelry ( chewable jewelry ) as another way of stimulation when understimulated or overwhelmed, as he often grinds his teeth together or chew his nails. He used to use baby teething rings, but they typically broke after some use, so Matt had found him something more durable. Nick’s favorites are either just the chewing sticks or anything in a more round shape.

— Nick’s comfort items are his old Bullet Club hoodie, his pillow, and this plushie keychain he got from Kenny years ago in Japan that stays hooked to his backpack. He hates traveling without any of these things, as he gets very anxious without his little comfort things. He does remember one time he had left his pillow at home and how Adam tried to make things better by buying him a new one, though it didn’t help much at all because it wasn’t Nick’s pillow, despite it being the same.

— Nick does have sensory issues, just not as intense as others. As his sensory issues are not very touch focused, Nick isn’t much of a picky eater (Although he does have his safe foods he will fall back on every so often, such as Wendy’s fries and grilled chicken.) Nick can’t handle strong scents, often making him very tense and overwhelmed. Candles aren’t often lit at his home and any cologne he wears is very light. On top of this, he doesn’t really have an issue with noise either and would prefer a lot of noise rather than none at all.

— Nick is always doing something with his hands. Snapping his fingers, playing with threads on his clothes, patting his thighs, playing with his hair, messing with the zippers on his bag, etc. He does try to do things that are silent to not disturb others, so he doesn’t really use fidget toys.
