Hey, do you have kwamis linked to Zodiac signs? What are your concepts and powers?

For the Western Zodiac? Yes, I have some inspired by the Zodiac, I have them in my OC Miracle Box know as the Season Box, which is centered in Europe. Alongside a kwami for each Zodiac sign (in the lower box) there's five more kwamis in this box (upper box) who loosely represent the seasons + one in the center. I also have art and bios for a lot of these guys, which I'll link to because I can. :)

The Zodiac/Constellations (Lower Box):

Aries: Baash the Mouflon, kwami of Strength. With the constellation being that of a ram I went with a mouflon, which is a type of wild sheep, and with Aries being the god of war I chose the concept to be Strength, with the powers providing super strength far beyond what a regular Miraculous could provide.

Taurus: Antiqq the Aurochs, kwami of Reversion. While the Taurus constellation is a bull, I wanted to avoid direct overlap with Stompp, so I went with the aurochs, an extinct species of wild cattle. And because this species is extinct I used this to decide the powers, which is to make time flow in reverse.

Gemini: Harmonee the Ant, kwami of Cooperation. With this constellation being represented by a set of twins this was a bit harder to pick an animal for. In the end I decided to go with my Ant, as most ants in a hill are sisters, and because one of Harmonee's powers create a Hivemind that links all allies' minds together, which plays into some twin stereotypes.

Cancer: Snapp the Crab, kwami of Adaptation. This was an easy animal to choose, with Cancer of course being represented by a crab. And I chose the power of Adaptation because of the memes about everything eventually evolving into a crab. :) Snapp's powers allow one to manifest a temporary superpower that best suits their current situation.

Leo: Valoree the Lion, kwami of Courage. Well Leo is a lion, and lions represent bravery... so this one was fairly straight forward. Valoree's power has the power to grant Courage, or to absorb it into an energy to use to attack.

Virgo: Olivv the Dove, kwami of Peace. This was another tricky one, with the Virgo constellation being a maiden carrying wheat, which doesn't directly translate to an animal. This maiden is seen as a goddess of harvest in some cultures, and Virgo translates to "the virgin". When researching animals associated with this sign many of them were already taken (like the Fox and Rabbit, or the Deer). In the end I chose a Dove as doves and unicorns can be used to symbolize virgins, and I already had a Unicorn kwami. Peace was an oblivious concept for a Dove, giving her the power to create areas where no conflict or harm can take place.

Libra: Elle the Gecko, kwami of Equality. This is yet another constellation without a straight forward animal to represent it, instead being a set of scales. So I decided to have a bit of fun, and pick an animal with literal scales on it... so a lizard. xD I most heavily played into the Libra symbolism with the powers, with them being that of Equality, like the idea of balancing out a set of scales. Elle's powers allow them to always create even ground, making it so powers, strength, and resources are Equally divide up among everyone.

Scorpio: Verriti the Scorpion, kwami of Truth. Scorpio is of course a Scorpion kwami, who has the powers to make people tell the Truth. I don't have a single reason for why I picked Truth for the powers, it just felt fitting for a scorpion. Perhaps its because the truth can sting sometimes?

Sagittarius: Spikke the Hedgehog, kwami of Precision. As cool as a centaur based kwami could be, that was one I didn't think I could design, so this one has a focus on the archer aspect of Sagittarius, with the weapon being a crossbow and the power making sure the user can never miss their target. As for why a hedgehog, well, they be spiky like an arrow.

Capricorn: Gloss the Ibex, kwami of Friction. The Capricorn constellation is a sea goat, so I went with a wild kind of goat, the ibex. As for the powers, it allows the user to manipulate the Friction on a surface, meaning they could climb up anything like a goat, or make things super slippery for their enemies.

Aquarius: Nokk the Kelpie, kwami of Water. With this constellation being someone carrying water, I decided to make the concept tie directly to it, with this kwami being able to grant complete control over all forms of water. As for a kelpie, well it's a horse in European folklore that lives in water.

Pisces: Dannte the Seahorse, kwami of Fear. Pisces is described as being two fish tied together, so a fish it is! But fish kwami are a pain to draw, so I decided on a seahorse; which is a fish but its shape is one I feel I can fit into a kwami design more. And seahorses are a fish that are always trying to hide and camouflage, suggesting a pretty fearful animal. Their power allows them to create an irrational Fear in others.

Springy? Sounds like making things rubbery would be a neat power. It could be a protective ability by making a person or object more durable to attack or offensive in allowing opportunities for stronger attacks by bouncing them off of something or attacking from unique directions.

I just want Marinette and Billy Batson (Captain Marvel HIS NAME IS NOT SHAZAM PPL) to get together is that so much to ask? Think of the possiblities!

First up: Bruce Wayne Bio! Dad AU

Just think of how terrified Billy would be to meet the newest Wayne daughter who’s the same age as him

And surprisingly she’s not trying to kill him and she’s really sweet

And they bond over the strange magic they both possess!

Imagine the shock on Marinette’s end if she met him as a hero first though, I mean some random adult acting like a child?! Great kwami, what the hecko gecko?!

Then imagine them beginning to date, Bats and the others are already sharpening their weapons because hey- billy fooled the entire league once! He’s not getting near little Marinette

If Billy makes it out he’ll then introduce Marinette to his own foster family and she’d hit it off with everyone there and everyone will just be shook because there’s a Wayne in their house

Sneaking past siblings on both ends

I want a scenario where someone knows one of them in the couple is a Wayne but they don’t know which one and so they assume it’s Billy because he looks like one and he’s broody and jerky enough to be one

After a while bruce low key wants Mari to keep going out with Billy because he’d be the perfect new Wayne

Marinette moves to Philadelphia post Hawkmoth with her parents

She goes to Billy’s school and meets Billy

Ladybug finds him during an akuma attack and gives him the miraculous of thunder and lightning

He becomes Thunderbird

He’s so good that Marinette makes him a permanent hero

Chat low key thinks Thunderbird is hot but he ships him with LB

Billy finds purpose when he’s Thunderbird and decides not to leave Paris until Hawky is defeated

He starts being less of a jerk at DuPont and starts crushing on Mari

The entire class, save Lila, Chloe and Sabrina, try to get Mari and Billy to confess to each other

Since LB chose Billy, Mari knows his identity and she (as a civilian) talks to Thunderbird a lot

Billy and Mari finally start dating

LB accidentally starts talking to Thunderbird like how she talks to Billy as Marinette

Billy is confused as to why LB is flirting with him when he has a gf so Mari confesses her identity

Eventual defeat of Hawkmoth and maybe just maybe Billy decides to stay in Paris for good

Marinette with the horse Miraculous, rushing back to Paris to fix Adrien’s mistakes, because god knows that if she doesn’t, no one will.

One of her passive abilities is increased carry weight because we stan the Steed stone.

ugh. I guess we gotta do that dumb thing where we pretend they’re Pokemon. How about instead of that I just give Marientte a superhero name that she uses no matter which kwami she’s bonding with? let’s do that. Because they’re not Pokemon. And insisting that they need new names every time they change their outfit is just obnoxious.

Her name is Paragon. Named after my horse from Skyrim. It means like, the best example possible. Exemplary. The highest standard by which all other things are judged lesser.

Marinette is a prodigy when it comes to using Miraculouses. If anyone can figure out a way to destroy them and free the kwami, it’ll be her.

But first, she has to kick Adrien’s ass and get his Miraculous back. She can’t free Plagg yet, but she can at least get him away from an actively abusive holder.

Lizard Man, Take Me by the Hand

Summary: Adrien accidentally lets slip an inside joke between Marinette and Chat Noir while they have lunch with Alya and Nino.

It was a relatively new habit.

He had only been spending his Friday evenings at Marinette’s house for about three months, but he already felt closer to her than he did to anyone- despite the fact that she didn’t even know who he was.

It had started after Glaciator’s attack on the city. After Plagg had recharged, he went back to Marinette’s place to check up on her. She invited him inside for some cake. The next weekend, he returned. It became a weekly thing for them.

They would talk and laugh and watch movies and play games together for hours and hours on end. They would sometimes forget to keep quiet, and they had had a couple of close calls with Sabine or Tom coming to investigate the noise coming from their daughter’s bedroom. However, they hadn’t actually been caught yet.

As most best friends do, Marinette and Chat had accumulated their share of inside jokes over those three months.

One particularly stupid and unfunny one that they frequently found themselves quoting was the lizard man.

They were sitting in Marinette’s bedroom, their legs tangled together on her chaise- which they had moved to face her computer- as they watched Vine compilations on YouTube.

Before one of the videos started, a Geico ad popped up on the screen.

Marinette scoffed in disgust. “I don’t care if he can save me fifteen percent or more on car insurance,” she said, shaking her head. “I don’t trust that little lizard man.”

“I think he’s a gecko.”

“I don’t care. He’s creepy and weird.” She turned her head to look at him. “Just like you.”

“Ha, ha,” Chat deadpanned. “I, for one, would trust the lizard man with my life.”

Marinette laughed. “Chat, do you have a crush on the lizard man?”

“I do,” he said seriously, then turned to the screen, where the gecko was still talking about car insurance, and held his hand out dramatically. “Lizard man, take me by the hand,” he sang.

Marinette laughed. “Are you serenading the Geico lizard?”

“Gecko,” he corrected her. “But yes.”

The two of them had continued to quote the lizard man song every time Chat visited for the next few weeks. Occasionally, they would suddenly notice themselves humming it as the song got stuck in their heads at random times throughout their days.

Then, one day, Nino invited the two of them and Alya over to his house for lunch. They sat in the living room with TV trays, chatting as they ate with the television on despite the fact that no one was really paying attention to it.

At least, they weren’t paying attention to it before the Geico commercial came on.

Adrien laughed to himself, remembering the joke he and Marinette shared.

“Lizard man, take me by the hand,” he sang, not thinking about where he was or who he was with until he heard a sort of strangled choking noise from the other side of the sectional.

He turned to see Marinette staring at him with wide eyes, and he suddenly realized his mistake.

“Dude,” Nino said, giving him a weird look. “Did you just… serenade the Geico lizard?”

“Gecko,” Marinette corrected him in a tiny voice, her shocked, wide eyes not leaving Adrien’s burning face.

“It- um-“ Adrien stuttered, avoiding Marinette’s eyes. “It’s kind of… an inside joke.”

“Mari?” Alya’s voice said. “Are you okay?”

“I- I-“ Marinette spluttered. “I have to go.”

Marinette gathered her belongings and rushed out the door.

Adrien groaned as he threw himself onto his bed.

“She hates me,” he lamented.

“What makes you think that?” Plagg asked.

Adrien turned to look at him. “Did you see the way she looked at me? She’s upset that it’s me.”

The kwami rolled his eyes. “You humans really are blind and oblivious, aren’t you?”

Adrien furrowed his brow and sat up. “What?”

Plagg huffed. “Just go talk to her, dummy.”

Hesitantly, his heart pounding, he knocked on her skylight. It instantly opened into her bedroom, and he dropped through the skylight and onto Marinette’s bed.

She was sitting on the other end of the bed and staring at him, her expression unreadable.

“Hey,” he said softly after a moment.

“Hey?” Marinette repeats. “That’s all you have to say for yourself? Hey?!”

Chat sighed. “Look, Mari, I’m sorry that-“

“I mean,” Marinette continued, shaking her head. “I’ve been torn for weeks, thinking I’ve somehow betrayed the guy I’m majorly in love with by falling for someone else even though we’re not even together, and then I find out that they’re both the same person via the lizard man song? Are you kidding me?!”

“I’m- you-“ he stuttered. “In love?”

Marinette rolled her eyes and climbed down from her bed. “And right in front of Alya and Nino, too,” she continued. “Where I couldn’t even have a proper reaction to it!”

Chat climbs down after her. “I’m sorry, Mari, I-“

“Why are you still wearing that?” she asks suddenly, spinning around to face him. “It’s not like you have anything to hide anymore.”

“Right, um-“ he said. “Claws in.”

He detransformed, and then Plagg was hovering in the air between them.

“Where’s Tikki?” he asked Marinette instantly.

“Over there,” Marinette told him, seeming entirely unphased by the creature as she gestured toward her desk. Plagg zipped toward the desk, where a small red creature emerged from behind a stack of books to greet him with a hug.

Adrien stared at the two kwamis, his mind racing. If Marinette had a kwami, that meant…

“Of all the possible ways to find out your identity after all these years,” Marinette continued ranting as Adrien’s eyes went wide with realization. “It had to happen because of the freaking LIZARD MAN SONG?!”

“You- you’re-“ Adrien stuttered, his head quickly turning to meet her eyes. “You’re Ladybug.”

“Yeah,” she huffed. “And you are Chat Noir.”

Adrien felt a wide smile grow on his face. “All these years that I’ve been chasing after Ladybug, all these years that I’ve been trying to figure out who you could be- you were right in front of me this whole time.”

“And all these years that I’ve been trying to figure out how to get you to fall for me, you were flirting shamelessly with me the whole time.”

If Team Miraculous had the Season Box, since this one was made in Europe, instead of the Mother Box, which miraculouses would they have?

So the Season Box is two Miraculouses smaller than the Mother Box, so I'm not going to account for Felix or villains in this line up (sorry Felix).

Marinette - Crab of Adaptation. With Marinette's planning skills I think she'd be very effective with the Crab. Adrien - Swan of Loyalty. Whose more loyal than Adrien? Alya - Scorpion of Truth. Perfect for reporter Alya! Nino - Gecko of Equality. I think Nino matches this concept well, and also like the Turtle I feel a reptile kwami suits him. Chloe - Dove of Peace. I've done this pairing in another post before, but Olivv and Chloe would both really benefit from each other and their perspectives, especially with the paths they're heading down. Luka - Lynx of Intuition. Is it cheating to give Luka the same concept he has in canon? Oh well, this one fits too well. Max - Ant of Cooperation. I think Max would be really effective with operating under Hivemind. Kagami - Hedgehog of Precision. I just think Kagami fits both the literal and metaphorical aspects of this concept well. Kim - Polar Bear of Endurance. Kim would want to have the Polar Bear. Zoe - Elk of Growth. I don't know why, but I've always seen Zoe as one that would have a connection to nature. Mylene - Seahorse of Fear. What better way to master ones fears than to be the one to wield that power? Rose - Moth of Hope. It's just perfect for Rose! (Especially since the kwami is based on the rosy maple moth!) Juleka - Kelpie of Water. First of all Juleka would love this creepy swamp-creature looking kwami, and second of all I trust her with wielding a powerful Miraculous like an Elemental. Sabrina - Lion of Courage. Valoree would just be so good for Sabrina, while she'd also provide a good balance for this power. Marc - Aurochs of Reversion. I don't think there's any particular one holder that's a good match for this Miraculous, but I think Marc would be a good person to trust with a Timekeeper. Nathaniel - Ibex of Friction. No escaping a Goat-based Miraculous, Nath. xD Ivan - Mouflon of Strength. Raw power mixed with Ivan's kind heart is a good combo.

What powers would you give to kwamis that embody the four seasons?

My Season based kwamis are very powerful they can manipulate two different aspects relating to each of their respective seasons but their true strength lies in their ability to manipulate magic itself either amplifying it or weakening it, this abilities was considered too dangerous to reside in the Guardian’s temple so they were placed in a Wandering Miracle Box along with similarly dangerous kwamis. Anyway to the powers themselves.

Livv the Deer of Spring- She grants the ability to create an aura of Spring causing all nearby plant life to flourish and grow which can then be manipulated and people are healed any ailments they may be suffering. She also grants the ability to summon fresh rains. Her magical ability empowers the physical traits of all nearby magical beings so a Miraculous holder’s already impressive strength and speed are pushed to new limits

Blles the Gecko of Summer- He grants the ability to create an aura of Summer bringing about staggering heat that can be pushed to extreme limits enough to melt metal or rock or even beyond that and people will become energized and even aggressive. He can also summon sand storms. His magical ability empowers the magical strength of all nearby magical beings so their powers themselves. So say Chat noir was affected his Cataclysm would grow in strength until it could compete with Plagg’s but he would still retain more control than Plagg has with his raw power.

Døddie the Sparrow of Autumn- She grants the ability to create an aura of Autumn cause nearby plant life to decay and people can grow sick and weak. She also grants the ability to summon and control strong winds. Her magical ability is basically the opposite of Livv’s all nearby magical beings have their physical abilities weakened to the point where they may as well not be there at all

Demiis the Polar Bear of Winter- He grants the ability to create an aura of Winter bringing about deep cold and ice and people will become sluggish and apathetic. He also will either grant the ability to summon darkness or deep sleep (not totally sure yet). His magical ability is the opposite of Blles’ the magical abilities of all nearby magical beings will be reduced to practically nothing and skilled holders can even snuff them out entirely.

How about the other alphas? Also, do the elementals and timekeepers not come from the alphas?

Elementals come from Neutral Energy, which is the leftover energy from when the Alpha kwamis first divided. So yes they come from Alphas, but not from a certain one in particular. Timekeepers also come from Neutral Energy, but they are descended from a former Elemental, Eeterna, the kwami of Time, who divided to become the Timekeepers.

Miracle Boxes - The True Generation

These are the second iteration of the Miracle Boxes, and the generation that lasted the longest, stretching out for several thousand years. The Miraculouses within these boxes are very similar to the generation before, save for many kwamis of the Mage Box being divided out among the other boxes of the world, and the Mage Box being hidden away as the Secret Box.

During this time kwamis were free to chose their own holders, and spent more time out in the world than in their Miracle Boxes. Guardians were protectors of kwamis in their dormant state, but were not wardens of them. Kwamis would often travel far from their boxes and across the world, acting as protectors where they felt they were needed.
