Dahlia Dynamites

(A valentines Match)

Summary: a Baseball AU brought about by @belsw06 !! The renown baseball team, Dahlia Dynamites, who have won two World Series titles now find themselves at a new challenges. Their annual sweethearts match. Now they must divide their team into two and hope that their partners can bring home the win.

“Alright the two team captains will be Vincent and David, which means that by proxy your teams have Angel and Lovely respectively. Remember every person you add to your team, their partner comes as well.” William clapped his hands together and motioned between the two. “Heads or tails,” he asked David.

“Tails.” David replied.

William flipped the cold metal in the air, it spun before he recaptured it and flipped it. “Heads.” He answered.

Vincent gave a victorious laugh. “My first pick is….” He looked around the group “Milo and our amazing manager.” He smiled over at David who huffed.

“Damn let’s go Milo!” Sweetheart piped up before wrapping their arms around his and walking over to Vincent.

“I’ll chose Asher and Babe.” David spoke quickly pointing his thumb back over his shoulder, a signal for Asher to get behind him.

“Alright! Let’s go buddy!” Asher called out dragging babe over to his best friends side.

“Now for me…” Vincent smiled and placed a finger on his chin to mimic thought. “Tanker and Sam get over here.” He waved the pair over.

“Alright.” Sam spoke up, allowing Tank to lead him to Vincent’s side.

“I choose Bright and Fred.” David spoke up.

“I’ll take Gavin and Freelancer.” Vincent said clapping his hands together.

“Cristian and Amanda.” David nodded his head.

“Huxley and Damien.” Vincent added with a smile over at David.

“Avior and Starlight,” David said finally.

The rules of the game were simple each player had to teach their partner how to play their position and then they would either play the same position on a different part of the field or bat after them. David was pitching first which meant that Angel was pitching first. He came up right behind them and guided how they would pitch. His larger frame completely encompassing theirs.

“Wow, maybe you should teach me how to pitch more often Davey.” Angel quipped smirking at the light flush that spread across his features.

“Just focus.” He directed and then they took their first pitch. Lovely could have hit it easily but they wanted to be kind to the new pitcher.

“Strike One!” William called out.

They threw a second one, which was a little better but lovely didn’t wanna start their team off poorly so they bunted it over to Cristian. He tossed the ball over to Babe who was on first base. Lovely was safe.

“Great Job babe! Nice catch!” Asher shot his partner a thumbs up. They returned a toothy grin over to him.

“STOP MAKING OUT!!” Vincent yelled at the couple.

“You’re up next Deviant.” Gavin spoke so close to their ear. They could feel his breath hot on their neck.

“Yeah yeah.” They waved him off picking up their bat. He smirked guiding them through a few practice swings.

“GET A ROOM!” Asher yelled out sticking his tongue out at them.

“Oh it’s a room you’ll surely want to be in.” He smiled back at Asher.

A few more turns and the bases were loaded. It was now up to Huxley to send em home. He stepped up to the plate, sporting Damien’s old jersey, it looked more like a crop top on him. He set up and hit the ball into the outfield over to Avior. He grabbed the ball and watched as starlight pointed him where to throw it.

Lovely, Freelancer, and Sweetheart were on base, however Lovely and Freelancer were able to make it home scoring two points for their team.

By the end of the fourth the score was David’s team 12 and Vincent’s team 16. It was now the bottom of the ninth and the score was David 48, Vincent 50. There were two people on base and Angel and Babe still up to bat.

“I love this view Sweetheart.” Milo said gloating about his view of sweetheart crouched down in front of him.

“Mr.Greer can u please stop staring at my ass.” They turned to give him a glare.

“Only if you’ll stop having such a nice one.” He winked at them and Angel, who was up on base, let out a loud gagging sound. Angel swung, missed the first one. Swung again, missed the second one, swung again, and hit the third one. They ran to first base.

“OUT!” Two outs now that Huxley caught the ball causing Amanda to add to that score.

It was now babes turn. They stood up the the base hitting the bat against their cleet. They were dressed in Asher’s old uniform that for their form snuggly.

“Hey big guy, Babe has got an arm, you better be ready to run your ass off.” Darlin nudged Sam’s arm.

“Yeah yeah, I’ll be ready to run my ass off, at least you can’t possibly get hurt this time.” He quipped back at them bumping their hip with his.

Babe hit the ball and it went soaring over to the pair. Tank tugged the back of Sam’s shirt guiding him on where to run.

“Lift your arm. Raise it up. Good now just let the ball come to you.” Tank guided him, speaking in a confident tone that Sam loved to hear. The ball fell perfectly into his glove.

And just like that the Valentines Day match was over, and even though both teams couldn’t gain the bragging rights, everyone walked away a winner.

I’m feeling bored again, i should really invest in writing fics but oh well.

In the case of Vindemiator x Imp! Freelancer there wouldn’t really be much difference between them and cannon Gavin and Frelancer. EXCEPT!! As it’s widely said in the imperium that the meridian is falling apart (i think maybe i might’ve made it up) so it’s likely that Vindemiator and Imp! Freelancer will have less time together and i think Vindemiator knows it. Which is part of the reason he was so hesitant to genuine love and accept love from Imp! Freelancer. So once Imp! Freelancer dies i don’t think he’ll try to live again without them like Gavin would. Once Imp! Freelancer dies he’d be more reckless with everything he did until he’d be considered a danger by everyone else and put to death. Vindemiator in this universe wouldn’t think he deserves the peace of dying peacefully like Gavin did, slowly stopping feeding, he think he deserves a dangerous death. a death that is his way of a final sort of like punishment for the things he’s think he did wrong while alive. The reason for it is because he didn’t have as much time with Freelancer, who was a big part of Gavin recognizing things about himself, so he didn’t get the recognition and acceptance cannon Gavin did.

however. i also love thinking of ships between canon character x canon (not that character’s) listener.

doesn’t have to be romantic. like, id love to see angel and damien interact (ergo having a better relationship than in the imperium . ough)

but sometimes it is! and i mean people have vouched for the david x darlin propaganda (and i salute that!)

however … i think it’d be interesting if like, i dunno, in some reality maybe gavin met and fell for honey. or avior came across doc. or sweetheart caught geordi’s heart. you know??

i just like thinking about what-ifs.

Avior and Starlight

- Starlight could cook like really well before the whole hell thing.

- But they took like a month to relearn it because their muscle memory had faded.

- Avior occasionally helps do the actual cooking, but mostly is a prep guy.

- He also gets measuring stuff for Starlight when they need it

Caelum and Freelancer (NOT SHIPPING!!)

- Kinda the same as Avior/Starlight

- But they switch roles from time to time

- Sometimes Caelum tries his absolute hardest to actually cook

- While Freelancer just stands on the side helping when necessary or Caelum asks for it

- And sometimes Caelum is the keeper of ingredients and measuring stuff

- (He floats all of it at the same time)

- One time he tried to telekinetically juggle all the stuff

- Lots of cuddles and hugs to make up for it

- Gavin is the taste testing princess

Aaron and Smartass

- Aaron knows the basics and can put together a nice meal

- He is a pretty stable chef

- But SMARTASS?????

- They have exactly TWO cooking modes

- Gourmet French fanciness with edible gold leaf

- Or Kraft mac n’ cheese

- Aaron first discovered this when he got sick

- Smartass made him a fancy shmancy soup and after he got better made him a fancy shmancy dessert as a sort of prize

- But then

- Smartass got sick

- Aaron almost died from powdered cheese consumption that week.

Ollie and Baby

- Both can cook

- Ollie is more of a sweet stuff guy

- So he usually handles breakfast and dessert

- And Baby is better with savory stuff

- So they usually make lunch and dinner

- One time they tried to make sushi

- And it was the best thing either of them had ever eaten.

- They now have sushi night

- Ollie occasionally has his stabby stab privileges revoked because he will almost stabby stab himself

- Because he is staring at Baby

Elliot and Sunshine

- “Breakfast for dinner” kinda couple

- Eternally battling the pancake vs waffle argument

- I feel like they eat a lot of PB&J (my apologies if u have a peanut allergy)

- Neither of them used a grill for like 3 years after they began to regularly cook meals

- Because they were both deathly afraid

- Elliot tried to learn how in a dreamscape

- But he didn’t make it hot cuz he was afraid of burning himself

- So when he tried the real thing he got a really bad burn
