• Pizza.

• When they first moved in together neither of them really knew how to cook really well

• So they just stuck with their own pre-made stuff

• Until Guy got sick

• And honey made him a nice homemade soup

• He felt obliged to return the favor

• So he made them a batch of cookies and left them on their bed while they were gone

• They slowly started eating together and exchanging food

• Which eventually translated into taking turns cooking meals

• Which then turned into making stuff together

• And lemme tell you

• This man has enough cooking themed innuendos and jokes to rival GAVIN.

• Also at first Guy learned most of his cooking skills from Max’s

• But honey helped him translate those skills to make things besides pizza

• As already established, Beth cooks

• Beth is trying to teach Beautiful to cook

• More-so because she wants them to be able to feed themselves

• But there is also a romantic aspect

• The first couple times were cheesy as FU-

• But it slowly became more chill and fun

• “No, dumbass that’s the quarter tablespoon, the quarter teaspoon is the third one over”

• “Yes, I am putting the fire extinguisher on the counter, I know what you’re capable of”

Okay but why does nobody talk about how Mirabel is just like Abuela.

Especially in the beginning of the scene with Isabella. I know part of it is from her general dislike of her sister, but she shows a complete disregard for Isabella as a person and immediately tries to get a hug from her even though she is very upset. Even during the beginning of the song, Isa is talking about her issues and going through a major life development and all Mirabel cares about is the miracle.

She doesn’t care about Bruno until she begins to think that he had something to do with the deterioration of the miracle. Then he starts being important.

All the rest of her family. She seems to try so hard to fit in, but she’s not trying to fit into the family, she’s trying to fit into the miracle. The only people she seems to have a somewhat well developed relationship with are her parents and maybe Antonio (which I’m pretty sure is just her vicariously living through him). Of course this is partially because of Abuela’s separation between Mirabel and the “special” people in the family, but she has had opportunity after opportunity to relate to her family and deepen relationships but refuses to do so because all she really cares about is the miracle.

The reason she can’t get along with Abuela is because she is the new Abuela, and if the theories about her being the new protector of the miracle are correct, lord help La Familia Madrigal.
