Holy mother of peach juice IPAs, this is delicious. I couldn’t help but immediately notice that this can looks suspiciously like the cover of The Great Gatsby (The movie not the book. Actually, what the fuck is a book?) but I’m going to guess that no royalties have been payed so let’s keep the similarities on the hush hush. Who am I kidding, Leonardo DiCaprio is too busy fucking random models on exotic islands and growing a homeless man beard to worry about a silly thing like royalties so don’t worry Garvies Point, I’ve got your back. The “Gold Coast” in Long Island NY is an area known as the North Shore where there are over 500 monstrous mansions that were built in the times of Gatsby (early 1980’s) and this beer follows those home’s example with it’s monstrous flavors. A solid initial peach juice flavor starts things off with a great balance of bitter and sweet before some of those oniony hops join in reminding your palate what the hell style you are drinking bringing even more of that nice hop bitterness before closing with a musty hop flavor with even more of that juicy oniony goodness to bring the whole thing together. This definitely is a “Privileged American DIPA for the most affluent Hop Heads” because this flavor is worth a million bucks. Well, either a million bucks or twenty bucks, whichever is closer… Whatever. Basically, this is a great beer for the hop lovers of the world because this definitely makes you feel fancy as fuck especially when drinking it out of their teku glass and it will own your taste buds with it’s great flavor. For the newcomers to the hop haven, I can see this being either a great or terrible entry point to the style because on one hand, this is a juicy delicious brew but on the other, this is a hop bomb not shying away from the style. Go figure it out for yourselves you rich bastards!
