i meant to post this yesterday but when i saw my sister yesterday she was wearing the shirt i made her in 2019 for her college graduation present !!!! here’s a pic from when i finished it

its this cute little windowpane check linen tunic with a contrast light green patch pocket & i matched the bias tape…. i always forget i can sew! and the top stitching on the pocket was so neat when i looked at it yesterday too! i’m so touched that she still has it & it’s holding up & looking good. i should make more clothes

This is dumb and not really a problem but I’ve needed a “tree bag” for a couple years. I have an ikea bag that fits almost all of my tinsel trees but it’s not quite long enough for my under 4ft gold one. And I went to multiple stores so I could actually see the bags but I couldn’t find them so as the holiday was ending they were selling out online so I grabbed one of the last clearance ones available. it just arrived and it is a gigantic monstrosity. This was supposed to make carrying all my trees in one go easy not to bury me and three of my friends in.

I was thinking about cutting it down and sewing it but god that sounds like an exhausting mess. I usually return things when they are wrong but it was such a monster to unravel from the packaging that it is coated in Faf hair.

Clearly my only options are to see if the morgue needs donations or begin my search for several giant tinsel trees.
