Silent, game-less preview of the update to the appearance of my personal Twitch streams. Now with names and direction to the media pages I use! I’ve condensed what would be in the outro on YouTube and incorporated it into the stream to simplify uploads. Actual stream intro and outro not included here. (Streams hosted at http://twitch.tv/jestre_derama)

CHANGES: -Scooted up the video panel a little -Added sprites overlay on chat -Added “/Wisps” to include subscribers as a reward from my GameWisp (Starting at $5 per month. $1 if you want to contribute to my Patreon.) -Centered greeting over video panel to separate from Patrons/Wisps and fully replaced “buddies” with “buggies.” -Added transitioning usernames for current social media and support sites I use. Only exception is streamlabs which directs to the link within my Twitch profile with “Donate below!” -Moved The Bug Hive voice channel users up to the center left of the video panel, going from top to bottom.

Staying Informed

With the sub button coming out for affiliates some people may be asking themselves, “why does SnakeTech88 still have a GameWisp?” And GameWisp subs may be asking themselves, “should I switch to Twitch subs?” Let’s answer these questions one at a time.

1. We still have our GameWisp Sub Button because the truth is that GameWisp treats their streamers better than Twitch does. They offer a very clear and concise way to show subscribers what benefits they can get from each tier and they’ve had tiers long before Twitch did. They also take a far lesser cut for each subscription than Twitch does.

2. As for the question of switching over (or if you’re a new subscriber which one should you choose) the answer is that any way you choose to support us is deeply appreciated. I can tell you that as a streamer I (Tech) prefer GameWisp because of the reasons listed above. BUT Twitch does have its advantages. You get a cool star next to your name in our channel, it’s a lot more intuitive, and you can use your sub emotes without having to install extensions (not to mention if you have an iPhone you can use your emotes in iMessage with Twitch Stickers Kreygasm).

Please understand that we are incredibly grateful to have a Twitch Sub Button. The ability for people to subscribe for free with Prime Subs and the amazing support that you all have shown us in celebration of reaching this milestone has been truly incredible. This post is not written with the intention to persuade but rather to inform. Both have their benefits and their disadvantages and again ultimately the fact that you want to support us at all in this wild dream of ours is the greatest gift you could offer us.

But I think it’s important to keep you all informed. You have a right to know how this all works. It keeps big huge companies like Amazon in line and helps you to make better decisions. For a more detailed breakdown of everything feel free to read this article from GameWisp
