I'm so interested in you as a Tardis kin. I know only very little about DW but tell me: is the Tardis like... a sentient being? I'm so interested in how you mention having a personality and stuff but I always had the impression the Tardis was an object, a thing, a tool, so on (no hate at all I am genuinely very curious)

It's totally understandable to see me in the show as TARDIS as not being quite what I am/was.

As the TARDIS I was very much a sentient being. I was biomechanical and quite aware of most of what was going on even if I wasn't able to interact with time the way most people did in the show. Actually, all time capsules/TARDISes in the show are sentient and all have quite strong opinions on most things, although it's not easily shown in the Doctor Who show itself. I had a bit more of a rebellious streak than most of my siblings and quite frequently took the Doctor exactly where I knew they needed to be and not necessarily were they wanted to be. Another example of a TARDIS exercising free will and showing an opinion is in Shada when Professor Chronotis' TARDIS steps in to save him.

I suppose some of the problem is that it is difficult to show the personality of a being who exists outside of time, the way we understand it here in three-dimensional space as well as existing outside of three-dimensional space in general.

From my memories, the personality of Idris in The Doctor's Wife is fairly accurate to what I remember and is honestly fairly accurate to the way I still act this life.

DWKin Introduction

I think it's high time I make a proper introduction on this blog, so here goes.

My name is Starling or Star if you like. Jane Levy will be my faceclaim as she resembles my Gallifreyan self.

In another life I was a daughter of the Doctor -- a life my soul was connected to for much of my life until she died while the Doctor was in their twelfth incarnation and her soul joined with mine. That was about eight or so years ago now.

This kintype has brought me a lot of pain, but I cannot continue to treat it like a secondary thing any more. She was my primary kintype for years and still continues to be despite forcing it to the back of my mind.

I've repressed a lot of the specific memories I used to have of her, but here is what I still remember:

She/Her, Pansexual

Half-Gallifreyan

Survived the Time War twice -- once on my home planet, then again on Gallifrey

Time Lord? I think I went through the Academy, and was in House Prydon, but that could have been a false memory

Strong empath and telepath

Met a handful of my father's incarnations, but travelled only with Ten, Eleven and Twelve before I died

Was on and off with the Doctor as I often left to pursue my own things (and bc I was a brat and hated them sometimes)

Spent some time with Torchwood Three, was particularly close with Ianto for a while

Had a strong affinity with music, my people (on my mother's side) held it sacred

Had several children, one whom I named Melody and another I remember named Conan

Had two husbands over the course of my lifetime, the second of whom was my soulmate

Died at around 1500 years old

There are other details besides but that will do for now as I don't want to be too obvious with my identity just yet. If you know me, you know me.

It has taken me 3 years to accept my faults, and now that I have done so, I want to make the public aware of my opinion:

Shilo Greenwood is neither abusive nor toxic!

They have been slandered online for 7+ years, and it has ruined a large portion of their life...

They have been shunned from the Gallifreyan and Doctor Who kin communities, which is a large part of their identity.

I admit that I took part in the slander on a more private level, but I also admit that I was wrong.

They did not ask me to post anything, I am doing so because I feel it would be wrong to stand idly by while such slander is still affecting them today.

To all who have engaged in or promoted the hate and rumors against them, I am asking you- please- drop it. Just drop it, leave it...

What's the point of ruining someone's life? Because you don't want to admit you were wrong?

Nobody is perfect, and that's okay! But even if you never actually apologize, please just stop... if someone asks you about Shilo, just be honest.

I hate that so many people online make the accusation of "Pedophile" or "Groomer" to simply spread hate... it's one thing if it is true, but don't say something like that to simply ruin someone's life- it's unfair, unjust, and cruel (and cowardly).

We’re a system with a time lord host and we have found that places on the internet for people with similar experiences are few and far between and/or long abandoned so we just wanted to say that we find this account cool and enjoy seeing posts from it

Wait so like you ARE the TARDIS? That's really cool

In the sense of reincarnation, yes. It's something that colors pretty much everything I do and think.

My personal unverifiable gnosis is that I am the TARDIS reincarnated here for, potentially no particular reason. I am also pretty much permanently shifted as TARDIS to a very significant degree and have been told my accent matches the Gallifreyan conlang accent. There are obvious differences as I am currently working with very different hardware, but I am here to learn and explore just as I was with the Doctor.

oohoohohoo!!!! hello!!! hiiiii im Echo nice to meet you :] eep i have so many kintypes and even though my Gallifreyan one has been around for the longest (O.O) i unfortunately don't have much to share! my memories are sparse at best, and usually just comprised of Vibes! however, what i lack in memories, i make up for in Enthusiasm~! ive known about my Gallifreyan kintype for,,,, just under a decade now? I haven't posted here in a while, so I decided to start with this eddit.

I would have included the two sins, but lense flair wasn't available in the app I used, maybe I will fix that later.

Most of my memories of Gallifrey are positive, people I interacted with as Gallifreyan being mostly kind, although structure was quite important to most.

My memories and the various cannons I was in all had looms and the Great Houses were all quite impressive (idk at all why the Doctor's family was shown as being Drylanders in the show, but I can see why they got along).

I have memories similar to an ex friend and an ex who I no longer speak too, I will talk about it if asked but not much. I am simply trying to exist as Gallifreyan kin and healing from the damage is done in my therapy sessions.

In any case, I will try to be around more often. It seems fitting to begin to reclaim this aspect of my identity during Pride, after all one of my nick names for Gallifrey this life is "the massive orange fruit in the sky".
