Lateral line: first to develop, first to devolve?? In the beginning, there was no gravity. We were suspended in fluid. We then emerged into this world, and began to set foot upon the earth, balance and move ourselves through time and space. I’m still exploring this lateral line of fascia and it’s energetic connections. The number one and two physical complaints are neck and low back pain. Take a look at the highlighted points of this line. (I just pulled from the neck to hip and didn’t get into head and lower limbs.) If this coil is missing, what happens? Gallbladder (GB) points: -GB21 activate channel, alleviates pain -GB23 opens chest -GB25 strengthens lumbar, treats back and hip pain -GB26 activates channel and alleviates pain -GB29 activates channel and alleviates pain, benefits hip -GB30 activates channel and alleviates pain, benefits leg #lateralline #gallbladdermeridian #gallbladderchannel #meridiansystem #meridians #myofascialmeridians #myofascialmovement #fascialfitness #fascialtraining #fascial #fascia #Humancoil #adaptablepolarity #weckmethod https://www.instagram.com/p/CmXG_IHPWxg/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

First series complete in “Movement, Muscles & Meridians: Lateral Line / Gallbladder Channel” “So much contemporary research appears to be misdirected by the lack of a sufficiently empowered conceptual model that would aid that important important first step in any research, which is to ask the right questions.” Dr Beach, Muscles and Meridians Felt pertinent to multiple layers of our current existence, but specifically to the lateral layer: where does the human lateral line begin?? Final answer: lateral rectus of the eyes This aligns with the Chinese meridian and an evolutionary perspective of the lateral line of fish. More on that later when published… #anatomy #anatomytrains #rightquestions #betterquestions #fascia #energy #theanswerisboth #lateralline #gallbladderchannel #gallbladdermeridian #muscles #movement #meridians #musclesandmeridians #contractilefields #movementismedicine #lookatitagain #eyesthatsee #evolution #evolutionaryperspective #adaptablepolarity #bodymechanics (at Bonny Doon, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/CfR0DfzvQF4/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Movement, Muscles & Meridians Gallbladder/Lateral line series completion. I will compile over the weekend. I took some liberty to the lateral line as I saw it as incomplete when mapped with the gallbladder channel. Fascia is continuous and flows in all the planes or dimensions of space. That being said, seeing the lateral line end while the gallbladder did an entire jig around the lateral aspect of the cranium felt like an addition was needed. Movement: lateral neck flexion Muscles: sternocleidomastoid, splenius capitis (the two from #anatomytrains), *occipitofrontalis and temporalis additional lateral line muscles Meridians: lateral line fascia, Gallbladder channel in Chinese medicine #gallbladderchannel #gallbladdermeridian #laterallinefascia #lateralline #muscles #meridians #myofascialmeridians #myofascial #fascia #fascial #movement #movementismedicine #bodymechanics #itsallconnected #adaptablepolarity https://www.instagram.com/p/CfNtIW2rHOR/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Movement, Muscles & Meridians It’s bewildering that I can speak of fascia with some, but not energetic meridians. Two languages attempting to say the same thing. Movement is the displacement of fluids which produces motion. “Motion energy is energy stored in the movement of objects. The faster they move, the more energy is stored. It takes energy to get an object moving, and energy released when an object slows down.” -US Energy Information Energy Include Dr. Jerry Tennant’s concept that meridians are battery packs for the organs and were bridging languages. Movement: lateral torso flexion Muscles: obliques, maybe some intercostals Meridians: lateral line fascia, Gallbladder channel in Chinese medicine #fascia #fascial #anatomytrains #myofascialmeridians #myofascial #myofascia #gallbladdermeridian #gallbladderchannel #lateralline #movement #healingisvoltage #drjerrytennant #energy #energychannels #itsallconnected #differentlanguagesamemeaning #adaptablepolarity (at Santa Cruz, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/CfMfKefltzz/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Movement, Muscles & Meridians The lateral aspect of the hip, and really looking at the frontal plane of movement. In opposition to the knee, we see a greater range of motion and mobility at the hip…well, “supposed to” but honestly males in western society is an entire different story. Joking aside, this could be an issue right? Lack of movement in the hip may just translate to the knee?? Is your knee pain actually your butt pain??? Movement: abduction of the hip Muscles: tensor fascia latae, the glutes that abduct so medius, minimus and even some fibers of glute max Meridians: lateral line of fascia and gallbladder channel in Chinese medicine #connectingdots #chinesemedicine #myofascialmeridians #musclesandmeridians #hips #hippain #kneepain #hipmovement #lateralline #fascia #frontalplane #meridians #glutes #movement #movementismedicine #digitaldissection #anatomyart #anatomyexplorations #gallbladderchannel #gallbladdermeridian #anatomytrains (at Bonny Doon, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/CfJ7PBAJt4g/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Movement, Muscles & Meridians Working our way up from the feet along the lateral aspect of the leg to the knee. There is not much movement here, or there shouldn’t be. Typically if we see too much movement here, the knee will most likely communicate. Pain is a great way to say that it’s not happy. Following that note, there is not much muscle here. In fact, it’s the Iliotibial band predominantly which is not muscle at all (yes, yes, it attaches to TFL and kinda acts as the extension of the muscle). We can see again why knee issues rarely start as knee issues, but start as hip, or if we look below at the fibularis muscles, it comes from the foot. Movement: not too much (unless you look at the back foot of pro surfers, woah!) This zone is for stabilization mostly. Movement here would be an indicator something is up! Muscles: Tensor Fascia Latae through IT band spans the joint, while fibularis muscles are below Meridians: lateral line of fascia and gallbladder channel in Chinese medicine #knees #kneemovement #kneepain #lateralline #laterallinefascia #anatomytrains #myofascial #myofascialmeridians #meridians #chinesemeridians #itsallconnected #anatomyart #anatomystudy #anatomyexploration #digitaldissection #gallbladderchannel #gallbladdermeridian #fascia #fascial #bodymechanics #biomechanicalenergetical (at Santa Cruz, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/CfHXcMKpl7b/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
