I saw this book at a store once and on the page I opened it to, it literally just listed the stores and experiences available at Galaxy's Edge. It was like "she thought about going to buy a lightsaber at Savi's and then getting lunch at Ronto Roasters. Then she would go to Dok-Ondar's and see what was for sale." I literally could not make this up it was SO funny

Hey gang! Are you looking into getting an Oculus headset? Want money to buy your first games?
You’re in luck! Oculus offers this thing where you can refer your friends to get Oculus, and we BOTH get $30 in store credit! Now, I don’t have any friends—at least none with a headset?—so I figured I’d throw the link out to anyone interested <3
(yes my username is after Wainwright Jakobs and yes my profile pic is Ingo/Emmet)
Anyway! To make this post more useful I will also give some recommendations:
Kingspray Graffiti/Vermillion. I have both, and if you find my review on Oculus you can follow a link for 25% off. They’re both painting games, one being of a more Bob Ross-style and the other being—illegal irl, I think?
Apex Construct! It’s a game where you shoot robots. I got it on sale and was pleasantly surprised to find Kellen Goff voicing one of the characters. Check it out!
Speaking of Kellen Goff: FNaF Help Wanted. Kind of what I want the $30 for, ngl. Self-explanatory, since it’s FNaF; it’s kind of all the games in one, but you’re actually there. (Highly recommend Markiplier’s playthrough if you want to check it out!)
Job Simulator, it’s fun and silly. You get to play through simulations of “jobs” from the understanding of robots who haven’t seen humans in a while. Also Vacation Simulator, which has handtracking. (Markiplier has also played this one.)
Resident Evil! This game is why I got my headset in the first place, and since then I just haven’t spent $40 on it. It’s a remake of the fourth game and Leon is still hot. (Callmekevin introduced me to it!)
BEAT SABER. It’s one of those VR games everyone knows about—and surprisingly, a great workout! But, if you don’t want to spent $30 (winkwink) just yet, try Moon Rider in the browser. (Jacksepticeye has played Beat Saber!)
Vader Immortal; another one I got on sale, my only complaint is it’s kind of short, but it made me feel important and it was crazy fun! There’s also Tales From the Galaxy’s Edge, but you don’t really get to play with lightsabers and it’s more of a Disney-ride kind of feel than a Star Wars movie. (Callmekevin has played Tales; IAmCrusty has played Vader Immortal!)
There are probably more, but that’s what I can think of now! Have fun <3

@allyunabridged
I did actually!
Tumblr media
This is my BB!
I got it when we went to Disneyland in 2019! It was the first summer Galaxy's Edge was open, so sadly we didn't get to ride Rise of the Resistance because it wasn't open yet, but we went to Smuggler's Run twice and we piloted it! (Or crashed the Falcon more likely).
I decided to buy a BB because it's really easy to take apart and fit into my suitcase. Which, seeing that after Disneyland we went to the D23, it was completely full. But next time I go (hopefully next year) I want to get the lightsaber and the other droid. Though maybe I will pick up a holocron instead. I'm still undecided.
The lothcat I got it through Disneyshop when they were doing a big sale. But those are the only Galaxy's Edge merch that I have and I love them, though I can't control the BB's movements for shit.

Better Life - Ahsoka Tano
Anonymous said: Hey, do you write for Ahsoka? If you do, could you do an imagine with the reader having been a Jedi but becoming a bounty hunter or smuggler after Order 66?
AN: First time writing for Ahsoka!! I hope you like it! I went based off of Mandalorian Ahsoka. I hope that’s alright. Also, Y/L/C means ‘your lightsaber color’! Enjoy!
Tumblr media
Corvus had seemed a far more enticing destination when you were a few sectors away and had a belly full of spotchka. Stepping foot on the black, turned dirt of the forest planet, you were having second thoughts. No, you were having regrets.
Murky, damp, and dark, the areas of Corvus surrounding the city of Calodan were entirely uninviting. The lingering, borderline parasitic remains of the Empire had left barely a husk of a planet behind. Imperials were leaning into old habits that way. Bleed a planet dry to better the heart of the Empire, the Core Worlds; Coruscant. Even with the New Republic instated, you were wary about nearing that sector of the galaxy. Your ventures never got too close to the capital or any of the other Core Worlds since the Jedi Order fell.
You had been forced out of that life and into another one. Smuggling was your second chance. All you had to do was stay alive, which was easy enough. You just had to watch your step.
“Karabast!” You pulled your foot back from a puddle of thick mud. Your ship’s loading ramp had landed perfectly in the muck. Your thoughtlessness, or, more accurately, your getting lost in thought, had blinded you. Now, one of your boots was soiled.
As you inspected the damage of your shoe, you heard a bird call. Wary, you looked up at the grey skies but saw nothing. Taking in the sight of the bare-branch trees around you, you still saw no sign of the bird that the chirping hoots had come from. You could sense it though. Whatever the creature was, it had a strong presence in the Force and that set you on edge.
“You’re here on business,” you reminded yourself. With the Imperials that once inhabited Corvus gone, there was a new, free market in Calodan. A free market full of new, eager buyers willing to pay higher prices for goods that the Empire had prohibited. With the stock you had in your ship’s hull, you could come away from the city with an inflow of credits.
That thought of money was enough to get you moving again. You shook the mud from your boot and leapt over the puddle. As you landed, you felt the cold hilt of your lightsaber knock against your thigh. With the Empire all but washed from the decayed forest planet, you felt safer carrying the weapon at your side. You wanted to feel safe but knew better than to get too comfortable.
Another hoot from the stalking bird was reminder enough that unseen enemies still lurked in the shadows. You would not make the same mistakes the Jedi had, that your Jedi Master had, all those years ago. You had survived and you had learned. Just keep moving.
Tumblr media
As a stranger on every world you visited, you were used to being watched. Calodan locals, packed tight into the alleyways and streets of the city, were no different from the rest of the galaxy that way. Years of living under the shadow of the Empire had made them wary. Though, that did not stop them from celebrating their new found liberation.
Children, skinny but gleeful, ran through the streets as their parents shouted after them. A few Lothcats, with beady eyes and big ears, gave chase after insects, unafraid of being kicked by Stormtrooper boots. Vendors marketed sweets and trinkets, items they had hidden from the Imperials during the occupation. A few even called out to you.
“Care for fried Nuna legs?”
“Droid parts! Necklace charms!”
You ignored the sales pitches hurled at you as you walked by. Sneakily, you stole glances at the goods each offered to get a sense of what was needed in the market. It seemed like the Calodan market could use a little bit of everything, anything new to bolster the city’s infrastructure. Not that you cared about the wealth and quality of the citizens.
You couldn’t afford to care, not if you wanted to survive. Caring costed credits and time, both of which you were low on. Caring, being invested in the affairs of others was what toppled the Jedi. You would not make the same mistake.
“Spare credits for spotchka?!”
That seller caught your attention. You turned and eyed the slightly luminescent bottles full of blue liquid. At the sight, saliva started to gather in your mouth. Eager, you took a step towards the stall and shoved your had in your pocket in search of loose change.
Then you heard it again. A low, high-pitched hooting; that bird call. You turned your eyes to the sky and, finally, saw it. From where you were stood in the street, you couldn’t make out much detail. The bird was stout, a rather round creature, and was circling over your head.
It’s traced path, the continuous loop over where you were, was enough to make your blood run cold. Taste for spotchka overruled, you darted towards the nearest alleyway. Your heart was pounding in your chest as you ran. Nerves wild, you took random turns and relied on the Force, alway lingering in your mind and heart, to guide you.
Another hoot and you moved faster. Dirt and dust below your feet was kicked up as you ran. The feeling of eyes on you, despite being far from the Calodan market, intensified. You were used to being hunted, for even in this New Republic, Imperials still hunted Force users, Jedi.
But this was different.
Another hoot and you looked up. Your eyes widened as, instead of the bird, you saw a cloaked figure jumping from the roof at your right. Years of training took over and you dodged to the left, nearly ramming your shoulder into the side of a nearby building. Your attacker landed in the spot where you had stood moments before.
You raised your fists in a defensive stance and kicked your right leg up towards the cloaked figure’s head. They were just as quick to move, raising an arm to block your kick with such speed you felt your stomach drop. Who was this?
Whoever they were, they were able to land a strike to your shoulder that pushed you to the side. Years ago, in a room covered in cushions and mats, a fellow Padawan had delivered the same blown. The familiarity of it, stunned you. Where did they learn to fight like...like you? Like a Jedi?
You quickly refocused yourself, planted your feet to the ground and moved towards them. Hand-to-hand combat had not been your forte at the Temple but you managed to strike your attacker in the chest, knocking them back. Out from under the hood, you caught a glimpse of burnt orange skin. Something about the color was familiar; like a sunset.
A kick sent your way forced the thought from your mind. The attacker’s foot swiped at your ankles and caused you to topple to the ground. Rough and quick, the impact rattled your bones. While your chest and stomach took most of the fall, you chin had been scraped by the rocky dirt of the alleyway. There was no way you could win this without disorienting them. They were too good.
Quickly, you rolled over on your back. As you saw the figure jump again, aiming to land a final, conscious-ending blow, you reached towards your thigh. Your fingers wrapped around the cool hilt of your lightsaber and, against your skin, the weapon seemed to hum to life. You pressed the activation switch and raised your saber to block the cloaked figure’s lunge.
There was a sudden flash of clashing color. White, twin laser swords held your Y/L/C blade at bay. Shock flooded your system as you looked at the contrasted sabers. Then, desperate to see if your attacker was as astonished as you, you shifted your gaze up.
“Ahsoka!?”
“Y/N.”
Simultaneously, you and the Togruta woman deactivated your respective lightsabers. Ahsoka moved from her crouched position above you and, once she was stood up, she extended a hand down to you. Wariness made you hesitate at first; but you looked up into her blue eyes and felt a wave of relief wash over you. You took her hand and got to your feet.
She was taller now, with blue-and-white lekku trailing over her shoulders. You thought of Master Shaak-Ti, how long hers were. Unlike the Master Jedi, Ahsoka was smaller and, in your opinion, far more beautiful. Determination, that you remembered from your shared years at the Jedi Temple, still lined her face. As you looked at her, you felt Ahsoka’s soul was far older.
“What are you doing...doing on Corvus?” You had wanted to ask what she was doing alive but knew there was no point in doing so. Every day, you asked yourself the same question. What were you doing, still alive and on the run for all this time? You still didn’t have an answer.
Ahsoka gave you a smile, a smile that sent you back to your days together as Padawans waiting to be assigned Masters. So much had happened since you had last seen that smile.
“It’s a long story, as I imagine yours is as well.”
You scoffed and shook your head. “No, I’m just here smu-selling my wears.”
Ahsoka crossed her arms over her chest and gave you a look. Her white facial markings, where a human’s eyebrows would be, quirked up as she eyed you. She seemed so much wiser now. Part of you worried about what she had been through, what she had seen to change her so. The other part of you was nervous. You were a smuggler after all.
“I see,” Ahsoka mused, her expression unchanged. “Marketing has kept you alive?”
“Well, in a way. Kept me alive enough to get a ship and keep moving.”
“You’re still following that last order?”
At her words, your chest tightened. Master Obi Wan Kenobi’s voice rang through your head. ‘This message is a warning and a reminder for any surviving Jedi: trust in the force. Do not return to the temple, that time has passed. And our future is uncertain’. It had been a warning, an order to run and not look back. You met Ahsoka’s steeled gaze and nodded.
“You could say that.”
“The time for running has passed,” Ahsoka said. The seriousness in her voice sent a chill down your spine. “There is hope in the galaxy and not just for the Jedi. For us, everyone.”
“You sound like them,” you replied softly, “the Rebellion.”
“You mean the New Republic,” Ahsoka corrected, “I worked with the Rebellion. It has grown better, as we have from the Jedi.”
You were about to speak, ask your long lost friend how she had found herself tied up in the Rebellion, when you saw it. The stout bird that had set you on edge before was perched in Ahsoka’s shadow. Bright green eyes glinted in the dark and every hair on your body rose in apprehension.
“That’s Morai,” Ahsoka explained, following your gaze. “She’s part of the long story.”
You nodded and jumped at the sound of firecrackers going off in the distance. The sound was reminiscent of the Clone Wars gunfire. Suddenly conscious of how exposed you both were, you grabbed Ahsoka’s hand. You began to lead her through the alley.
“Y/N, I need you to listen to me.”
“We need to find a place to talk.”
Tumblr media
You blinked at Ahsoka, in an attempt to understand the story she had told you. Master Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka’s Master, her friend, had become Darth Vader. Sure, alright, that was easy enough to trace. Even your Master, Agen Kolar, had been wary of Skywalker’s attitude towards the Council. It was one of the few things you remembered about your Master now.
Then the Rebellion, Ahsoka’s stints on Lothal with a rag-tag group of fighters. One of which was a fellow lost Padawan, Caleb Dume, and a Lasat. You thought Lasats were all but extinct. While that part of her story was a bit more wild, a bit more mystical, it made sense. The Force had a strange way of connecting people, and people to places.
“But a Mandalorian had a baby...a baby Yoda?”
Ahsoka smiled. “Yes. Grogu.”
“He was at the Temple...with us?”
“At the same time, yes. He had special, separate lessons.” You held Ahsoka’s gaze with furrowed brows. “What is it?”
“Instead of going with him and the Mandalorian, you’re going after a Grand Admiral?” You stood from your pilot’s chair and walked over to the caf machine. You poured yourself a new, hot cup before adding, “I don’t get that. That kid is...he’s got to be powerful, right?”
“Too powerful,” Ahsoka said as you took your seat again. The air was tense in your ship’s cockpit, heavy as your friend had told you her story. “And Thrawn is a threat. His forces are, were, rooted here, on Corvus. With the Mandalorian, I was able to find the Admiral’s location.”
“You’re still on a mission,” you sighed.
“You’re still following an order.”
Ahsoka’s words stung. As Padawans, you had been so close. Now, it was like you were talking to a familiar stranger; but your feelings for her had remained the same. You were relieved, overjoyed, that she was even sat before you. She was still quick and sharp-witted. You took a breath to compose yourself and shook your head.
“Getting to the Admiral will what? Help you rebuild the Order somehow?”
“No,” Ahsoka replied quickly. Her eyes fell to the caf cup in her hand. You saw her thumb trace the edge of it. “That is someone else’s mission, a Jedi’s mission. I’m no Jedi.”
“Neither am I”, you admitted, “I feel more like a ghost sometimes.” Ahsoka lifted her gaze and met yours. You could feel, in the depths of her eyes, that she felt the same way too. For a stretch of long seconds, you stared at each other. With a hard swallow, you brought yourself from Ahsoka’s spell. “But, Thrawn. You’re after him because he’s...”
“Imperial, to this core. As long as he lives, the Empire’s ideas will survive. He may also know where Ezra is or how to find him.”
“And Ezra is?”
“Kanan’s, Caleb Dume’s Padawan. A friend.”
“Right. Sorry,” you pinched the bridge of your nose. “There’s a lot of people in your story, your life.”
Ahsoke leaned forward, a small smile playing on her full lips. “What about you, Y/N? What have you been doing? What’s next for you?”
“I…” Truth be told, you had done nothing like Ahsoka. You took Master Kenobi’s warning and, literally, ran with it. “Marketing, trading. Boring deliveries. No one as interesting as the people you’ve met. I haven’t been fighting like you. I’ve been…”
“Running.”
You nodded, met Ahsoka’s eyes and saw a glint of hope in them. You hadn’t seen hope so vivid before, not since you were younger, at the start of the Clones Wars. With a free hand, Ahsoka grabbed for yours. She gave it a squeeze and warmth ran through you.
“Stop running. Come with me, help me. Make this mission yours. No more orders, just making the galaxy safer, better.”
You frowned, but did not let go of Ahsoka’s hand. “That is what the Jedi did. Look how that turned out. We are no better than fugitives. You’re a vigilante and I’m a smuggler, so-”
“A smuggler?” Ahsoka’s tone shifted, her smile widened enough to reveal her sharper canines. “That’s a more rustic type of marketing. Isn’t it?”
“I see your teasing has persisted. Good to know.”
“It doesn’t matter to me, Y/N. We have all had to do things, good and bad, to survive this life. I’m only asking you to come with me to make what life we have left a better one.”
Over the years, you had survived and you had learned. All you had to do was just keep moving, never linger too long or care too deeply. Though, perhaps, that was the Jedi’s problem. Maybe, they didn’t care enough or love passionately in the way they should have. As you looked into Ahsoka’s eyes, you could tell that she did.
She wanted to leave this galaxy better than the one that was handed to her. And, while you had dulled the want with spotchka and smuggling, you wanted that too. You had missed so much, Ahsoka you had missed terribly to the point where you did not dare to think about her. Now, she was sat before you, on your ship, looking at you with hope in her eyes.
Neither of you were Jedi. You were not ghosts either, even though you felt that you were. You and Ahsoka were alive and ready to build a better life. The thought made your chest tightened slightly with want. You squeezed Ahsoka’s hand and met her gaze once more.
“Then where are we headed?”

The Problem with the Sims 4 Packs
As once more EA proceeds to let us all down, I decided to pitch in my thoughts having now for about two years having played the sims and seen no point in buying all the packs, and feeling cheated with the packs I do have.
1. There is a noticeable difference between older and newer packs
Some of the older packs feel less filled when compared to say some of the newer packs. Which I suppose is to be expected when a game evolves. But did it really evolve much?
2. Despite it’s ‘evolution’ there are still newer packs that REALLY could have been executed or at the lest presented better.
Realm of Magic for one. LUXURY PARTY. With weird builds, an absence of items, or smaller amount of things.
3. Repeated failure to listen to the community
The fact that is too so bloody long for them to address the need for better skin tones is infuriating and should not be happening in a time where the need for P.O.C representation has been highlighted
Babies, cars, more elements of toddlers/elders. Literally it’s been time and time again CC (custom content players who have come to the floor)
4. There are packs which should have been put together, it very clear from theme and purpose.
Cats and Dogs - My First Pet Stuff (so a DLC for a DLC), Parenthood - Toddler - Kids room (even if Toddler and kids were combined it would feel a little less of a money grab especially with how neglected toddler/kids outfits are with EA), Perfect Porch - Backyard - Romantic Garden (three stuff packs for the outside some might say I am stretching this but why was three stuff packs for the exterior needed?), Bowling Night - Movie Hangout (the theme of friends hanging out and having fun inspired by retro looks). One could even Seasons with Backyard.
5. THE Money Grab. Whenever EA has made a ‘deal’ with another company to ‘collaborate’ it has resulted in something subpar. Mac. Moschino (which feels like it’s an extension of Get Famous). And lastly the most infamous one STAR WARS Journey to Batuu. Cause it wouldn’t be Disney if they weren’t putting their foot into everything.
A person who likes to play star wars games would not play it on the Sims4 - and a person who likes Sims4 potentially would not play something involving Star Wars.
The way I put it when I saw it coming out “Star Wars is action, fights (in space and on planet), rebellion and space travel. A fan who wants to play Star Wars would buy something like Fallen Order, it covers all these aspects and has both a wider range of skills and a story line which is a lot better than whatever story they go for this. A sims4 game story mode isn't as diverse or in-depth as a game entirely made for a story. missions become a chore list, and a struggle to find things”.
And surprise surprise the game-play was far from impressive. All in all the pack only served as an advertisement for Disney’s Galaxy Edge, and contributed nothing to the wider Sims4 game or it’s community. Also of note is that the lightsaber skill potentially is just the sword fighting skill of Get Famous rehashed
6. The brewing potential cash grab in the works. Kits.
Not only is it weird to be getting a new type of pack after so long, but we’re getting THREE at the same time. Is this foreshadowing to the frequency? The argument is the role of the kit will be to allow people to ENHANCE how an individual wants their gameplay to be - but when these seem to come in small forms comparable to those ‘celebration gifts’ we get for special days or even like with updates - it makes you wonder why we have to pay an unclear amount for these. Especially when you consider:
Kit 1: Sims4 Throwback Fit kit - this kit is about retro-inspired athleisure looks.
Aesthetic? Looks like Snowy Escape but also has the retro vibe/aim of Bowling Night and Movie Hangout.
Gameplay contribution? Seemingly Fitness Stuff but expanded.
Kit 2: Sims4 Bust the Dust kit - cleaning your house (something you’d think you wouldn’t have to pay for, for a LIFE SIMULATOR.)
Aesthetic? Yet to be determined
Gameplay contributions: it can be noted there seems to be dust bunnies that give a vibe of Paranomal’s Spectrals, Then there’s the obvious Laundry Day. Mixed with Eco-Lifestyle where some of the vacuums designed look to be VERY similar to the device you make in Eco-Lifestyle to clean the atmosphere.
Kit 3: Sims4 Country Kitchen Set - vintage style appliances and decorative pieces for the kitchen.
Aesthetic? Besides farming pack people have asked for without the farming. it feels to be 1. the missing kitchen part of Paranormal, 2. the missing kitchen part of Cats and Dogs.
Gameplay Contribution? Yet to be determined. Potentially served the same purpose as cool kitchen.
Overall it’s hard to be confident that these were not items rejected for previous packs making the cycle back. Or that these will be like prevalent micro-transactions. The argument could be made that many of these are older pack they are similar to but EA could have ensure consistent quality but adding to the older packs.
And even more so regardless of the cost EA has been be REAL careful cause some stuff packs may end up looking like kit pack and more expensive, and any person with common sense would not be happy with that.
7. The COST, with 10 Expansion Packs, 9 Game Packs, 18 stuff packs the price is HEAVY. In AUD
Expansion Packs - 49.99.  On sale 50% off                      = 24.99. There are 10 of these
Game packs        - 29.99. On sale 25% off                        = 22.49. There are 9 of these.
Stuff packs          - 14.99. On sale between 15%-20% off. = 11.24 - 12.74. There are 18 of these.
Bundles come out as 59.99. On sale at 10% off                = 53.99 There’s a maximum of nine as of February, 2021)
This means the complete the full pack you pay one of these ways:
Everything pull price:
(49.99*10)+(29.99*9)+(14.99*18) = $1039.68
Bundles and Full prices:
(59.99*9)+(49.99)+(14.99+9)        = $724.81
Pure Sales:
(24.99*10)+(22.49*9)+(12.74*18) = $681.63
Cheapest occasional Sales of Stuff Packs:
(24.99*10)+(22.49*9)+(11.24*18) = $654.63
Sales Bundles and Prices:
(53.99*9)+(24.99)+(12.74*9) = $625.56
Sales Bundles and Prices with the cheapest sale for stuff packs:
(53.99*9)+(24.99)+(11.24*9) = $612.06
Is the Sims4 worth $612.06 to 1039.68? I’d dare say the answer would be an easy NO.

Stay With Me Part 2
Tumblr media
Overview: Kylo Ren is the most powerful man in the the galaxy. You are a rouge bounty hunter looking out for themselves. You meet by chance trying to find a part for your ship. He is a supreme leader and you are outlawed. But for some reason you are the thing he needs.
Word count: 1,571
You stared into the blackness of the supreme leader's helmet and he did the same to you. He studied your helmet and moved his head slowly up and down to looking you over. You did the same but weren't as obvious, noticing the many layers he wore in the hot atmosphere and the lightsaber that was hoisted at his side.
The vendor dropped as he released his hand, he fell to the floor gasping for breath. The supreme leader didn't even offer him a second glance, his attention was on you. "It seems you have something I want." His voice crackled,  his helmet must have been newer and in better condition. Compared to yours his voice came in clear as a bell.
"You can want what I have if you like but it's still mine." You clasped the earth crystal in your hand, which you held behind your back out of reach.
"Is that so." He took a step towards you and it took all your will power not to step back. "Because I always get what I want Mandolorian."
You were a little intimidated by him but under that mask he was just a mere man. You ignored the Mandolorian comment and leaned closer to him surprising him. "Well you won't get this Love."
He jerked back at the nickname you had called him. You heard what sounded like a gulp come through in the transmitter, you were confused but not for long. As soon as you said that an army of stormtroopers surrounded you, blasters aimed at your head and chest.
"Oh but I believe I will be getting what I want." He pried the crystal out of your hand and examined it a moment before handing it off to one of his commanders. "Love." His visor became clear in the light and you could have swore to see a hint of smirk behind that helmet.
You let out small chuckle and he snapped his fingers, at once a the stormtrooper behind you knocked you down to your knees. "Don't you dare mock me." He loomed over you. "You think you're so tough Mandolorian but compared to me you are nothing." He sneered. You had heard that you were worthless so many times that it didn't even phase you.
"I'm not a Mandolorian." You repeated again.
“Hm." He looked down at you with an aura of powerfulness, you're were breathing heavy and it came through your transmitter, chest heaving in anger. "You're not a Mandolorian?" He questioned and you refused to answer. One of the stormtroopers knocked the side of your helmet trying to get a response. You nearly growled at them but instead you answered.
"No I am not."
"How curious." He forcefully grabbed your helmet jerking you forward. He took in the scratches and condition of your helmet. Noticing the places where your rank had been stripped. "A Mandolorian code is that one never removes their helmet." His breathing was heavy and his helmet was so close to your own. If you tried hard enough you could make out some of his features. "But since you claim you are not one of them I guess this doesn't apply to you." Venom dripped from his words. He reached both hands out and paced them on either side of your helmet. "I'd like to see the face of my defier."
Your heart rate picked up  and your thrashed against your restraints. "No please!" His hands kept themselves positioned on the side of your helmet struggling to lift up. His breathing had gotten heavier and was motivated by something darker, by curiosity to see what you looked like.
"Supreme leader." A voice cut through stopping him in his actions. "We didn't come here to deal with a Mandolorian we came for the crystal." The voice came from a guy with red hair that's shined brightly in the sunlight. He wore a general's uniform and a bored expression rested on his face, as if he always dealt with an overly dramatic leader.
For a minute more the supreme leader kept his hands on the side of your helmet trying to stare in to see your face, but your visor was designed specifically so no one could see any sort of your face. "Supreme leader." The General said again this time with more malice.
The supreme leader let out a huff of anger and got back to his feet. He let his hand run down the side of your helmet. "I will see you one day Mandolorian." His voice sounded flat but there was a hint of something else you couldn't pick up on.
"General Hux." He turned to address the redhead. "Know your place I do what I like with or without your consent." He argued with the man for a it before he began to walk back to wherever he came from. As he walked away you felt a connection of some sort. That man had just tried to unmask you and yet It felt as if your heart was being torn with every step he took. And despite yourself you spoke up. "(Y/n)."
He stopped in his tracks but didn't turn around. "What?"
You knew it was stupid but the words pulled out of you as if someone was forcing them out. "That's my name. (Y/n)." The supreme leader stood rooted in place, his cape rippling in the hot desert wind. He turned to glance back but only for a second. Then he began to walk away again not even acknowledging your words with a response. General Hux shot you one last glance before following in pursuit the stormtroopers following behind him.
You picked yourself off the floor and watched them fade into the crowd. Dusting the dirt off yourself and trying to swallow a lump of emotion that had just racked through you. You turned back towards the vendor. "I'd like my money back."
"No can do (y/n)." You growled at him.
"Don't address me by my name vendor."
He shrugged and narrowed his eyes at you. "All sales are final."
“But I technically didn't even buy anything." You argued. "The supreme leader just stole it from me." You slammed your hands on his fold out table and gestured to the path where the army had gone.
"Whether you have the crystal now is none of my concern. You bought it to begin with thus our transaction is complete."
"Why you little." You lurched over the table to garb the vendor by his cloak. A nearby peace core officer saw you and motioned for you to put him down before things got ugly. You dropped him and snatched-various odd and ends of parts and slid them into your satchel.
You made your way back over to where you vehicle was parked. You kicked off on your Land Rover doing donuts and knocked into the vendors table sending his merchandise flying. People crowded in an instant trying to grab anything they could.
Sand blew past as you rode, leaving a lightly trail row here you were headed. It was nearly desolate on this planet expect for that small town and scattered huts. You wouldn't mind staying here in the company of very few if the weather wasn't so unbearable. As you approached your abandoned ship you saw a blur of something else nearby, about a couple hundred feet north of your ship.
As you got closer you saw that it was a First Order boarding ship. It was so huge that your stargazer looked like a speck of dust next to it. When you were a couple feet away you dismounted your Land Rover and scurried over to hide behind a nearby sand dune.
You peered over and saw the redhead from before standing next to the supreme leader. They were discussing plans as a hologram of a ship was displayed before them. Your helmets vision kicked in and and zoomed in to get you a closer look. The footage was fuzzy but you could still make most of it out. This hologram of the ship was a great grandchild of your stargazer, the newest model. It would have every part you needed to fix your ship and with the earth crystal your ship would never need another repair.
You bit the inside of your cheek debating over your plan. It was risky but if you could do it it would be worth it. The supreme leader quickly turned his head in your direction and you quickly ducked. You felt as if his gaze was starring into your soul behind your cover of the dune.
You looked around and saw that he was no longer there. He must have already boarded. General Hux was entering the ship with stormtroopers as the bay door began to close. You waited until they were no longer visible and threw all caution to the wind. You sprinted as fast as you could towards the ship. Just as it was closing you slid in and landed with no noise. You would have been all in the clear expect your cape snagged on the edge of the bay door. You pulled but it no use, you unhitched your cape from around you neck and left it behind. You took off in one direction unsure of where it would lead you but on a mission to get back what was rightfully yours.

I know nobody cares because this pack came out like three months ago (which was more like thirty months ago in quarantine time), but I just have some thoughts that I wanted to put out there about Journey to Batuu because I finished it. Kinda.
Okay, so you can’t finish Journey to Batuu. Which is weird. It feels like there’s a story, and then it just kind of keeps going with no ending. I thought you’d get to have some epic confrontation with the opposing side, but no. It just keeps going. Which felt anticlimactic, but I really did enjoy playing the rest of it.
The bad:
Like I said above, no ending.
No actual Chewbacca??? Really? I understand that he’s, like, eight feet tall. So you can’t have him as a normal Sim, because none of the animations would work for him. But he could’ve been an animated object that just stands by the Falcon and maybe paces around a little. It would’ve been really nice to see him in person.
It’s annoying that you can’t live on Batuu. I wish there would’ve even just been 1-2 livable lots. I like the idea of making actual Star Wars characters and having them live on the planet, but you just can’t do that. I really wish you had the option to either vacation or live there.
You can’t be a Jedi or a Sith. You can get a lightsaber, but you can’t use the force. There’s two Force users that could’ve taught your sims to be a Jedi/Sith, but you just can’t do it. :(
The CAS was kinda lacking. If you’re going to have a world where people can only wear clothing from Batuu, maybe there should be more varied options. Some more basic clothing and some more swatches would’ve really really helped. And almost none of it would fit outside of this pack. I also would’ve maybe liked some more recreations of clothes from the movies. Like, they made Leia’s Endor costume. It would’ve been cool to have Finn’s jacket, or a Han Solo outfit, maybe one of Padme’s dresses.
I don’t know if this is really a bad thing, but it’s too easy to get lightsabers. Like, by the time I was done playing, I had a shit ton of lightsaber hilts and kyber crystals filling my inventory. And all of the different hilts you can get have no actual impact on gameplay, they just look slightly different.
You can’t use the blasters, and while I get it because I don’t think they can really show that kind of violence, I also just want to blast some stormtroopers.
The good:
Some of the immersive stuff was really cool. I like that you have credits instead of simoleons (and having to earn credits separately adds a fun challenge), I like the sim-ified Star Wars music, I like that everyone is wearing clothing from the pack so no one looks out of place. And the screen wipes on loading screens! So fun.
The buy mode stuff is so cool. I think a lot of the furniture and stuff could easily be used in a lot of different ways, unlike the CAS items. There’s a lot of good run down looking stuff, and some cool futuristic looking stuff. I really love the new lights.
The world is really pretty. I play on the lowest lighting and graphic settings, and it still looked good on my computer.
Something I really liked was that it’s largely a recreation of Black Spire Outpost/Galaxy’s Edge from Disney World. It’s probably the closest I’ll ever get to actually going. And I feel like it gives you two ways to look at it: a) my sims are actually travelling to another planet b) my sims are going to Disney World. For storytelling purposes, I think that’s fun.
While I do wish there was an option to live there, vacationing there is really easy. You can take care of all of your needs by sending your Sims into a rabbit hole, which would normally be really lame, but when I’m just trying to boost my sim’s faction rankings it’s nice to not have to deal with the hassle.
Hondo Ohnaka. That’s it.
The custom voices for Rey and Kylo were neat to me! I swear I heard Rey say “may the force be with you” at one point.
Gosh, I love the droids. I love that you can build a droid, and that you can upgrade them and give them different personalities based on faction. I love that they just follow you around on your adventures. And they have no needs! I’m never giving my sims pets ever again, they’re gonna get a droid.
Overall, would I recommend it? Sure. I got it on sale, and I would not recommend paying full price for this. If you haven’t gotten the pack, and it looks like absolute trash to you, you probably won’t like it. But if you’re like me and were intrigued by the pack, I’d say go for it. I spent maybe 7 hours playing through this, and I had fun with it. Putting my sims in another universe for awhile was a lot of fun, and it really does feel like another universe. It also works as a cool vacation destination, because it’s heavily based on Galaxy’s Edge at Disney World. There’s not much depth to it, and there’s parts of it that are very disappointing, but I don’t regret getting it. I had a good time, and I really love Star Wars, so it was fun for me.

Sunday, 06/07/2020 Lightsaber:
youtube
The crystal is the heart of the blade.
The heart is the crystal of the Jedi.
The Jedi is the crystal of the Force.
The Force is the blade of the heart.
All are intertwined: the crystal, the blade, the Jedi.
We are one.
My favorite subject concerning the Jedi Order: Lightsabers, the most iconic weapon in all of cinematic history. Every chance I gotand provided I had the funds—I purchased toy lightsabers, replicas, and unlicensed stunt weapons wherever they were available; I must have at least eight of those Ultimate Lightsabers you could build yourself in Disney World at the Star Tours Gift Shop, I built one every time I went. You could also buy the kits in toy stores once upon a time, then Disney bought them and you could only make them there after that. I have yet to visit the new Galaxy’s Edge, I haven’t been to Disney World in quite some time.
When anyone thinks of the Jedi, in universe or not, they first think of their weapon; the lightsaber is the closest thing to a possession that the Jedi have. It is a direct reflection of their personality, fighting style, and personal beliefs. The lightsaber itself is as much a piece of art as is the fighting styles the Jedi have developed to wield their weapons, and I am only too happy to describe them to anyone at any given moment. Once again, I will be drawing most of my discussion from Old Canon and a little bit from Legends, particularly from The Jedi Path and the rpg game of Knights of the Old Republic and the mmorpg, The Old Republic. I personally find that the New Canon removes some of the intimacy involved in creating a lightsaber, but it is part of the Universe, so I will give it its fair analysis too.
Across most versions of canon, there are four key components to building a lightsaber: the emitter matrix, the lens, a focusing crystal, and a power cell. The emitter matrix is usually made up of a lightsaber resistant material, usually the metal called phrik, and houses the lens. The lens is what the raw energy passes through to form the blade and can be made from various different things such as high yield glass or other crystalline material. The focusing crystal, in old canon, was a crystal compound that was of organic and inorganic matter, the root element of which was kyber. There were several types of kyber crystals, including adegan kyber crystals found on Ilum. In Jedi vs. Sith, The Essential Guide to the Force (JvSEss.), some lightsabers were made using other crystals instead of those that were kyber based such as emeralds and diamonds. There are also some accounts that say you could use more than one crystal, up to three crystals to be specific, in order to form durable and potent blades. The crystal(s) are placed into a housing constructed to conduct the appropriate amounts of energy into the crystal(s). The power cell of the lightsaber was to be installed empty, with no charge. This was because the Jedi building the lightsaber was supposed to use the Force to charge the power cell according to JvSEss. The rest of the lightsaber is up to interpretation, the switch assemble, the emitter housing, the hand grip, the pommel; all these other components are constructed to the Jedi’s specific designs, making their weapon unique to all the others.
Tumblr media
In building the lightsaber, a Jedi would assemble the components and meditate on the mantra: “The crystal is the heart of the blade. The heart is the crystal of the Jedi. The Jedi is the crystal of the Force. The Force is the blade of the heart. All are intertwined: the crystal, the blade, the Jedi. We are one.” As they did this, they would use the Force to telekinetically assemble the lightsaber, fusing the individual components at the molecular level as they went so that their lightsaber would become one entity. They would charge their power cell, align their crystal to the Force, and influence the lightsaber to take shape before them. Now, with a complete lightsaber at hand, the Jedi Knight may dispense justice and protect citizens across the Galaxy. In Old Canon—and according to The Jedi Path—Padawans would come to Ilum with their Master about midway through their partnership to build their first lightsabers. The lightsabers they carried before these would either be training sabers or ones gifted to them by their Masters once they were paired to each other. Now, having had enough training in applying telekinetics and knowing their fighting style and themselves better, they can make their own unique weapon. The Master would leave their pupil in the caves to select a crystal they liked—blue, green, yellow, or purple, not all were available in every cavern— then to select components they liked from the stores on site or build their own components, and meditate on their new weapon. In New Canon, Younglings, not yet Padawans, would join in a ceremony called The Gathering, where a Jedi Master would take the Younglings to Ilum in order to build their first lightsabers. Younglings had a limited amount of time to gather their crystals, as the frozen door to the caverns would melt open from the sunlight and refreeze over time as time grew closer to night. The Younglings couldn’t select any crystal, the crystal had to select them, already being attuned to the Force and attuned to the Youngling. They had to hear their crystal calling to them and face a trial that would teach them something about themselves in order to obtain it. Once the crystal was obtained, the Younglings would return to the temple and ride the Jedi Vessel named The Crucible back to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Aboard this ship, a Mark IV Architect Droid named Professer Huyang taught the Younglings how to build their lightsabers and provided them with components. The crystal color would become evident once the Younglings attuned them to the Force.

I personally favor the version of Old Canon for lightsaber construction; it feels as though it has a lot more room for variety, independence of choice, and application of experience. The Force is supposed to guide our choices, meaning, follow your gut instinct: even if you attract to the role of a Jedi Consular, if you saw a gleaming, deep blue kyber crystal in the caves of Ilum and loved the way it looked, you could take that one to be your lightsaber crystal. Now, Jedi Consulars are known to have green lightsaber blades, but that doesn’t have to be law and it is stated all over both versions of Canon that the color doesn’t define the role of the Jedi, it defines their personality: Blue for those who are active, valiant, and are swift to action in the face of danger. Green for the patient and scholarly, those Jedi who are able to navigate the political battle field as well as the physical one, if not better than. Yellow for the Jedi who walks a fine line between civilian and protector, they often are sent out, undercover to hunt down agents of the Dark Side and are strong enough in their foundations to guard the Jedi from even their selves. Purple is for the Jedi who walks the fine line between the light and the dark, being able to summon strength from both sides without falling to either one in order to fulfill their role as a Jedi Knight. There are many more, but these are the most common. Given this analysis, however, Jedi Master Jocasta Nu, historian and librarian in the Jedi Archives, should have a green lightsaber, but something either made her pick a blue crystal or her crystal became blue (depending on which version you prefer), and that speaks volumes about her character.
In our real world, lightsaber technology is quite beyond our reach. However, in a thesis written by one Thomas William Noel at the University of Washington in 2014, creating a blade of solid energy was demonstrated to be possible. His experiments were conducted to see how a trapped Barium ion would react when spontaneously exposed to a positively charged photon. The result is that the two become entangled and form something like a solid wall of energy. Now, photons are particles representing a spectrum of light or other electromagnetic radiation. A photon carries energy proportional to the specific band of light’s frequency but has zero mass. Yet, when exposed to a specific variety of Barium Ion, the photon acts as though it has mass, acts as though it is matter, conversion of energy into matter without losing its properties of energy, a lightsaber blade. Barium is our kyber and photons are our Force. There are so many more applications far more practical than this, but the science is there. Perhaps, one day… (Source: https://depts.washington.edu/qcomp/pdfs/tom_thesis.pdf )
In the mean time, we have these:
Tumblr media
I purchased my current lightsaber from UltraSabers.com; it’s a combination of three different models. The main body is the “Shock LE” model, the emitter is from the “Archon v2.1” model and the pommel is from the “Manticore Model”, the low grade version. The color of the blade is their guardian blue option, the switch lights up blue when activated, and I originally had sound on it. The speaker inside has since broken off when I beat the ever living hell out of a BB-8 piñata with it. This was after a couple years of love and usage. She still lights up brilliantly though… if I didn’t lose the batteries and the charger in a recent move. Between these two deterants and the fact that I’ve been eyeing other lightsabers, I think it’s time I’ve retired her.
I just recently purchased many components from Saberforge.com to construct a new lightsaber with. They have an adaptive saber component collection and their parts look far more movie accurate.
Tumblr media
I can’t wait for the components to come in, I already have the emitter from a sale I jumped on ages ago. I like to admire it and dream of a brilliant blue blade coming from the end of it. I ordered a couple different pommels and switches so I can see what I like more on the finished product, but I like the way this 3D rendering looks the most so far. I got extra parts though because it’s one thing to see an image of it, and something else entirely to see it in person. Saberforge has really great stuff, they just take awhile to ship for some reason. So, if you don’ mind the wait, they’re an excellent company to get sabers from. UltraSabers also has really great products, very sturdy and lots of basic looks that you wouldn’t mind it if they got banged up. Like, I love the concept of my new saber a lot, but I know I’m gonna freak out the second it has a pit in the metal because I dropped it or it got wacked by another blade the right way. Unfortunate fact of ownership; these things are meant to be used, they get beat up looking after awhile. If you look closely at my current one, the thing is covered in nicks, smudges, and pits from years of love. And yes, they are expensive. However, for the quality of use, they could be more expensive, and they certainly help you become closer to that Galaxy far, far away.
I hope you gained something from this. Enjoy the rest of Jedi June.
May the Force be with you.

The breath stopped and the saliva seemed to dry out suddenly inside your mouth. You were forced t o move your tongue to make sure they didn’t somehow deprive you of your head.
You had heard of stories about what the First Order had done in the battle years and, more precisely, how their generals had moved. And the name of General Hux was one of many to be invoked with hatred and resentment. Your teacher, Ben, had worked on it after all but had assured in assembly that the General had been executed on Steadfast after briefly supporting the resistance.
Yet, there it is. Fragile, weak, deprived of everything and naked but still stubborn enough to try to get back on his feet and not be seen on his knees by any audience.
By pure instinct, your fingers curled around the hilt of your sword and you clung to it as if you were risking your life at one moment or another. There was no time. You had to get out of there and find your comrades, and even better your masters. They would certainly know what to do in that situation. You turned on yourself, letting the hood hide your shape as much as possible, and approached again the entrance and exit door you had passed a few minutes before.
Just as you tried to switch between a couple of likely buyers, the door swung open again and the two wobbly Zygerrians you had just knocked out entered in the room looking around with a frantic and decidedly furious mood.
Before they could see you, you bent over your knees and quickly slid between the chairs and the people in the room who had suddenly become vocal, launching insults and bargaining for the life of the ginger-haired general.
As you approached the bottom of the stage, you spotted a red cloak lying on an abandoned chair. Silently, almost rubbing your knees, you dropped yours on the ground and quickly caught the crimson one.
It managed to completely hide your figure, and finally you came back to your feet to be able to observe the situation.
The largest of the cats had stood before the door, his hairy arms crossed over his chest and the dangerous claws prominent in sight. The other instead leaned into the crowd, pulling down the hoods or peering at people’s faces inside the room.
Tense like a rope, you were looking for an escape route extension but everything hinted that it wasn’t there. That you were in a trap where you threw yourself.
And just as you were losing hope, you only looked up to meet the emerald green eyes of the man on sale.
Without your noticing, you were at the foot of the wooden stage and the general had been forced to his knees again, terribly close to the end of the boards. And he was there, right in front of you, with a painful but confused expression as he watched you widen his eyes in alarm.
If you somehow got out of that place, that man would certainly have been bought by slavers or worse and you would have lost him. Neither Rey nor Ben nor the Republic would have been able to recover him(dead or alive).
“I offer fifty million!”
The cat woman let herself be distracted by your scream, which managed to dominate the huge roar that had invaded the hall, thanks to your proximity to the stage. She stood on tiptoe, to pass the desk behind which was hidden, to observe you.
“Did I hear right? Has an offer of fifty million come out?”
The room fell silent, staring at the spot that the Zygerrian was eyeing.
“Y-yes. It’s right.”
Nobody dared to open their mouths. Many really seemed to think about whether to relaunch the offer, others simply waved their signs out of that crazy expense.
Exceeding your number required a great desire to have Armitage Hux under own hands but you doubted that the men in there would take charge on a murderer whom the Republic would bring before the supreme justice.
“Nobody offers more?” after a long moment the cat-woman asked, nervously turning the hammer in her hands as if she wanted to slam it quickly on the surface of the table to conclude the sale.
Try to keep your face bent over your feet, let the hood completely cover your face, avoid turning to the public to verify that you were the only risky communication the purchase.
You clearly felt the eyes of people focused on your curled up figure and certainly also those of the one you had bought so handsomely.
“Sold!”
You sighed as she beat and, under a tomb silence, lets you drag with the long colored cloak to protect you towards the staircase that brings you to the stage.
Just as you advanced towards the ex-general, the bodyguard, who was nearby, raised an arm separating you from your target and pointing to Zy’s desk.
You swallowed and started putting your hand on your belt, grabbing the sack of money Rey had entrusted to you.
When you were at the right distance, you detached it and rested on the surface in front of her.
The woman looked at you confused and opened the bag quickly, already annoyed.
“It’s only 5 million …” you revealed, hiding your hands behind your back. “I don’t carry such a sum around with me. I have the rest in my ravager.“
At those words, the creature looked down on your life, looking for a possible sign of recognition but you tightened your grip on the edges of the cloak, closing yourself to view.
“Then?” you asked quickly, feeling that the crowd starts to murmur. If you hadn’t been able to make that smart deal, you wouldn’t have had a chance to take Hux away.
Inevitably, while you waited for the result, you moved your head towards the audience and watched the cat man who had crashed grab your cloak that you had left there and lift it up in front of him. So, his feline eyes met yours just as the woman by your side concluded the deal in your favor.
His hand reached the belt, took the blaster out of its holster and fired a shot at you.
You could see in slow motion the red and dangerous lightning that approached your face but before it could touch you, jump to the side, flanking the ginger-haired prisoner on the stage and drawing the hilt of your lightsaber.
The yellow glow illuminated your face under the hood when you activated the sword.
There were sighs and strangled cries, then chaos began.
“It comes from the Republic!”
“Damn Jedi!”
“Let’s leave!”
People huddled together, giving you the opportunity to focus your attention on the enemies above the stage while those below were being dragged or kept busy.
Your weapon hissed menacingly in the air as you moved so you could keep an eye on the two cat creatures who pointed their weapons.
Inadvertently, a hold on your cloak distracted you. Looking behind you, you watched Hux’s pale hand cling to the red fabric, his green eyes casting blurry flashes. He had dragged behind you and you didn’t even notice.
“Who are you?”
Before you had time to respond, another gunshot, followed shortly afterwards by another, aimed at you but let your lightsaber deflect both. The blows crashed against the back of the stage, which you made, was what prevented you from moving further, in addition to the redhead’s body.
You have been trapped.
The crowd was quickly thinned out and if the other two were left free to shoot, it would have been difficult to get out of it unscathed.
“You … will have a plan, I hope!” hissed the man attached to you, making you temporarily hate the insane undertaking you had undertaken.
Saying this was the plan would probably only have panicked him, so you decided to keep quiet. You couldn’t find a way to escape from that situation without leaving him behind you. You looked at him out of the corner of your eye and his eyes that flowed from right to left were feverish and probably surrounded by a dose of awe. He was not afraid, that you probably would never have had the chance to see him, but awe of returning to the hands of her tormentors without a doubt. Who knows how long he had to endure and fight. You wouldn’t have left him to his fate. As a Jedi, you wouldn’t have allowed the galaxy’s most dangerous murderer to face a sentence other than justice.
But just as you were preparing for another blaster blast, with a tremendous roar half, the building collapsed in front of your eyes.
The henchmen closest to the exit quickly moved to the safest area, the stage, while a thick dust surrounded the environment while the sun finally illuminated the room.
Then, in the midst of the white cloud of lime, several blue flashes reflected menacingly.
“From the new Jedi Order in the service of the New Republic, I order you to lower your weapons!”
Yamitha’s imperious voice managed to calm your hot spirits and your unnatural fear of having to face a one-way struggle.
The girl let the lightsabers act as a warning with their roars in the air as they all advanced towards the side of the room that still miraculously stood up on its own.
The Zygerrians looked at each other first, as if to agree on a possible action, and then slowly lowered the blasters to the ground. Your group of Jedi quickly approached them and gathered them up, forcing the criminals to come forward out of the room, hands tied behind their backs.
You were so taken by the whole situation that you had forgotten to soften your arms, that they had strengthened while holding the yellow sword still outstretched, ready for confrontation.
When you let your arms dangle at your sides, turning off the lightsaber, it seemed as if the tension had almost detached them from your body.
“You’re lucky I felt your presence in the Force out here.”
You turned to the side, watching as your friend scolded you as she scold a child who doesn’t follow a parent’s advice. You almost laughed when she assumed the typical pose of when she got you out of trouble, with her left hand on her side and the right hand shaking spasmodically as if to magnify the problem.
Then, attracted by the high presence behind you, she opened her mouth like a fish out of the water and her gaze went from angry to shocked.
The hand holding your cloak was gone but it seemed that the figure of Hux had not yet moved away from your person, attracting the attention not only of your friend but also of the rest of the companions who were taking care of the other criminals on the stage.
With a sudden sense of unease and jealousy that you couldn’t explain, you pulled off the long cloak that touched the ground and turning, avoiding in any way not to let your gaze slide from above to below, you pushed it against the chest of the ginger.
His green eyes shone with curiosity but he didn’t have it repeated twice, perhaps fearing that it would be taken away from his hands, and he closed himself in his cloak covering himself from the eyes of the Jedi Order.
“Y / N, we have to contact Master Solo.”
Having said that, all the prisoners were escorted on your ship, with which you had arrived and Armitage Hux disappeared from your sight escorted by a Ben Solo stretched beyond the possible and a tremendously worried Rey.
They didn’t let you come over to check on him while they kept him in an interrogation room but Rey assured you that it wouldn’t hurt him even if, impressed by yourself, you could read in your master’s mind that the desire to do it was persistent and ferocious.

A Very Star Wars Fictober, Day 9!
Prompt number: #9 “will you look at this.”
Fandom: Star Wars
Rating: Teen and up
Warnings/Tags: Disney Canon, pre-The Force Awakens
Word Count: 1,118
Summary: Han Solo and Chewie have a job interview with a new contact, Maz Kanata. She’s got work for them – and news about a new power player in the galaxy who calls himself Kylo Ren.
Read it on Ao3:
“This place is jumpier than Mos Eisley on payday,” Han said to Chewie without looking up. Around them, the bar on Takodana thrummed with people, music, and talk. Han swirled his drink casually in one hand, trying to mask his nervous energy. He wasn’t used to this anymore. “Remind me how you met this contact?”
Chewie answered truthfully, as he always did. The response made Han stopped swirling his drink immediately.
“On the holonet? Chewie we are going to get murdered.”
Chewie threw up both hands and growled out his disagreement.
“I don’t care how long you’ve been messaging her. Why didn’t you tell me before –”
“You must be Chewbacca!” a voice said. “And just as handsome as your picture,” she winked at him, “I’m Maz Kanata. Who’s your friend?” Han looked around, then down and saw that the voice belonged to a diminutive woman dressed in unassuming, but functional clothing. Her face was covered in deep wrinkles and she wore a large pair of spectacles over her eyes.
Chewie introduced Han, who nodded in acknowledgment.
“Ah yes, Han Solo. I’ve heard a lot about you.”
“Knock around the galaxy as much as me and Chewie and reputations start to proceed you. I heard that –”
“Will you look at this?” Maz asked abruptly, waving a hand in the air as she slid into a seat. Seemingly from nowhere, a lackey came forward and placed a wood box on the table before melting back into the crowd. Han glanced down at the box, then over at Chewie, who shrugged in confusion.
“Is that what you need to transport?” He had a bad feeling about this. Nothing good came in a package that small. Look at Leia.
“This is unrelated. Something I picked up,” Maz said mildly, her hand resting casually on the wooden lid. “With your connections, I felt you should have first right of refusal.” She opened the box and pushed it towards Han. Gleaming inside was a familiar silver cylinder. Han, who had been leaning forward, snapped back reflexively as though it might jump up and bite him. Beside him, Chewie growled out an expletive.
“Where did you get this?” Han said, fighting to keep his voice calm.
Maz smiled and favored him with a knowing look. “Oh, I keep my eyes and ears open always. You know how this business is. You never know what you’ll find.”
“Like…” he lowered his voice, leaning forward again, “like Luke Skywalker’s old lightsaber?”
Chewie made a noise beside him and Han rolled his eyes at the correction. “Fine, like Luke’s dad’s old lightsaber.”
Maz continued to smile placidly up at him. “I thought you’d like to know –’
“Well, you thought wrong. Luke’s gone. He disappeared after…” a flutter of emotion passed over Han’s features, quickly stifled. “Well, he disappeared anyway. My wi – Leia was upset about it. But it’s nothing to me.” He pursed his lips and pointed a finger at Maz. “Look, lady, if you’re thinking I’m gonna buy that thing, you’re wrong. You keep it. I don’t need any of that hokey Jedi crap. It’s done me more harm than good.”
Maz studied his face. He met her gaze at first, but then looked away, unable to take the intensity. Looking to break the tension, he reached for his drink and took another swallow. He noticed several eyes had slid over to their table at his outburst. If they were going to fly under the radar, he needed to rein it in, and fast.
Finally, Maz shut the wooden box with a firm thud.
“Oh, this one is not for sale. Some things are too dangerous to have out and about. I just wanted you to know where it was, just in case. Something tells me that this will be needed, later.”
Han let out an exasperated breath and forced a thin smile. What the hell was that supposed to mean? “Fine. Now about our deal? Chewie says you’ve got cargo? We’ve got the ship for it…” he began. Some of his cockiness returned whenever he slipped back into his old sales pitch. But it felt like putting on an old sweater that had shrunk in the wash; it didn’t quite fit the man he had become. Still, it was all he had and he would work with it. He was prepared to do that. What he wasn’t prepared for was Maz interrupting him again.
“I heard,” she said, talking over him, “that there’s a new power player in certain sectors of the galaxy.”
“Yeah? Not the Hutts again, I hope,” Han said. Chewie murmured agreement.
Maz shook her head. “Not the Hutts. The Knights of Ren. You’ve heard of them?”
There was a sudden inhalation of breath from Chewie, but Han’s smile never faltered. “No,” he said with forced casualness, “should I have?”
“They say that there’s a man who’s joined them. Goes by the name of Kylo Ren. No one knows who he is or where he came from. But he’s strong and he’s capable and he knows how to wield the force. And here you are, suddenly, looking to run cargo into that same sector. In fact, from what I’ve heard, you’ve taken jobs into every sector of the galaxy where Kylo Ren has shown up for the past eight months. If I didn’t know any better, I might think that you were trying to keep an eye on him.”
“Well, it’s a good thing you know better,” Han said, leading back in his chair, playing idly with the edge of the table to hide his nervous energy. ‘What does this matter to me what – Kylo Ren, you said is the name? What does it matter to me what this Kylo Ren does. My partner and I are just trying to make a living here. If you’ve got cargo, let’s do business. If not, then thank you for the hospitality, but we’ll be on our way.”
Maz laughed and sat back in her chair. She waved a hand and that same lackey came to spirit the box away to wherever it had come from.
“The famous Han Solo doesn’t disappoint. You want business? Okay. Let’s talk business. I need to get a shipment out of Bracca. Scrap, but valuable. You’d need to be fast, and you’d need to avoid the First Order. Think you two can handle it?”
“Yes we –”
“I wasn’t talking to you,” Maz said to Han, turning her attention instead to Chewbacca. “Do you think you two can handle it?”
Chewie laughed, then growled an affirmative.
Maz nodded. “My people will be in touch. Enjoy yourselves in the meantime,” she said, getting to her feet. “I look forward to seeing how this plays out.”

Galaxy’s Edge hot take regarding Anaheim: merchandising wise, they are likely in trouble.
This is predicated on several factors, but the simple one is this - while the items the individual stalls sell are well designed and interesting while fitting the theme, they are not ones that are going to move with repeat visitors or going to rack up large amounts of sales by enthusiasts on one visit, either, likely.
Consider the template/competition: a Harry Potter megafan can scoop up several different wands of favorite characters, a custom interactive wand, a set of robes, pins, drinkingware, a plush familiar, chocolates and treats, butterbeer, plus other souvenirs they can mix and match. There are many options and several (robes, ties, wands) are intrinsic to the story and ‘world’ presented and have that appeal baked in. For the casual visitor, these things also have crossover appeal, as magic wands, chocolates, and the creature types are understood beyond the story limits.
Galaxy’s Edge has 200 dollar lightsabers you need a reservation to make, and high-end droids you again need to take time to build as the ‘keystone’ things relating to the film words. The rest of the merchandise is interesting but hardly seems likely to sell like hotcakes, especially among locals, who comprise a huge chunk of Disneyland’s guests. Disneyland moves merchandise often by coming out with NEW items and limited designs and the like for their attractions and characters, something that seems rather unlikely for the strictly themed market stalls of Batuu and the wares designed for them, or even for Dok Ondar’s, with the high end range of collectibles that a non movie-enthusiast won’t be salivating over and a return visitor would only buy once. This is all my opinion of course, but it seems to me the likely outcome of the area’s merchandise being so tightly themed.
