Watching Battlestar Galactica is so funny bc everyone is in a sci-fi military post-apocalyptic colonization drama with the exception of the hapless Gaius Baltar, responsible for murdering 12 planets and his subconscious is a sexy blonde robot who keeps interrupting every minute of his terrible life and feeding him questionable advice

I'm thinking about BSG again and for all its faults, it is truly one of my favourite shows, and Gaius Baltar is such a singular character. He's so weird and unlike any other character I can really think of, at least off the top of my head. His specific combination of traits and tragedy -- the closest I can think to describe him is he's like if Jesus Christ jumpstarted the apocalypse and also sucked.
